Chef Andrey catered a wedding celebration party that was exceptional.He provided cheese and fruit platters and crudites with a.wonderful melted Brie.We ordered 7 apps that everyone raved about especially the crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms.The Chocolate cake with raspberry mousse filling was delish.His servers were very pleasant and accommodating.Chef Andrey made the event stressless,fun and memorable. The price was well worth it and I highly.recommend Delicacy Catering in West Hartford.

This place is awesome. Best kept secret deli in West Hartford, but they deserve to have word spread. They recently changed their business model from a foreign market to a full deli w/ the addition of foreign market foods/ingredients. Give this place a try. Highly recommended.

Amazing food and the owner/chef is a gentle giant who works wonders in the kitchen!!! Definitely worth stopping in for some great Coke cuts but they also have a lunch buffet that rocks and don't even get me started on their BBQ. IN-house smoker that Andrey has perfected and I'd put his ribs & brisket up against any BBQ restaurant in New England. Don't be deceived by the store front because this is a hidden gem that never disappointed me so far and at 6'1" and 200+ lbs I know how to eat!!!

I used to love the store when they sold fresh bread and smoked fish.... but the last several times the bread was old and stale - and nobody bothered to tell me that I was spending $5 on old bread... Since many of my favorites are no longer stocked, I won't bother traveling here anymore.

Delicacy just catered a private party for 30 people at my home and the food was a huge hit! The party grew in size and last minute I decided I couldnt handle the food for everyone. I contacted The Delicacy two days before the event which is normally too little notice for any catering company to accommodate yet Andrey worked with food items he had in stock and came up with a fantastic menu that was absolutely delicious! The food is obviously made with love and the service is personal and prompt. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for crowd pleasing food the guest will talk about days after the event.

Motorcycle Problem

We hired Chef Andrey and his all star crew for a large event at our home. The van pulled up 3 hours before our start time and the whole crew went to work setting up everything in a fast and efficient manner. They were organized, prepared and ready to go well before the guests started to arrive. We have worked with many caterers and chefs over the years and we were particularly impressed with these folks. As for the food, it was simply amazing. We asked for a particular "theme" and the selections exceeded our expectations in every way. The passed hors d'oeuvres were unique and served perfectly. (ask for the "Pork Wings"......I asked the Chef what it was and he said, "Tonight, Pigs can fly" SPECTACULAR) The main course was terrific and wowed the entire crowd. After desert the extra food was packaged for us, the area cleaned and you would never know they were ever there. But the best part was the Chef and his staff. Andrey, the two servers and Chris the bartender interacted with the guests with professionalism and personality. They really added to the success of the event. The price was completely reasonable considering the hight quality of the product and people. It just couldn't have been better. Well done Chef! We will definitely be back.

We were going to Delicacy place for year because we love delicate food. Recently have to hire also catering from them. OMG!!! They made seafood salad to die for, fresh, tasty and rich with all kind of seafood and shell-food, fresh veggies. The 3 main courses. Smoked ribs are the best, ever. Service of catering was outstanding. We didn't notice how they came in and set up food stations, how they cleaned up after party and put everything to the van. Prices are very competitive, food ration to the value is greater than somewhere else. Most importantly, that food is so delicious. Great job guys. And thanks from all my family and guests.

I use this place primarily as a take-out sandwich place / deli. They have all kinds of other stuff if you are into Eastern European or other gourmet food too, but you can't beat the cost / value of the sandwiches. You get Boar's Head or often homemade ingredients on tasty bread with homemade chips and a pickle for $6. Buy 5 and get a free one. The staff is friendly and the sandwich is MUCH better than chain sandwich places.

I love going there for lunch or even order catering for our office for lunch, a lot of different options, and everything so fresh and sandwiches are huge, costumer service is amazing the fact that the chief him self takes your order in person or on phone, If you looking to have great lunch that for sure will fill you up, that's he place to go, or catering for parties or just group lunch, thier catering service is outstanding.

The way he displays the food is so artistic - not to mention delicious! He has done several events for my company and they have always been very well done. Real Eastern European delicatessen. Tongue is deliciously fatty. Roast beef is wonderfully rare. And the breads are something else. Yum. Just thinking of browsing the deli counter and aisles have my mouth watering.

The sandwiches are to die for. I've been here consistently for years now and the quality of their meats and salads have not went down like most delis I've tried. I'm so lucky to live down the street. Also.. Try their OUT OF THIS WORLD chips!!!! And if you get a chance talk to the owner, Andre, very nice guy.

Great place to stop for a REAL sandwich. Bomb steak and cheese. Quality of the steak was worlds above any place around. Tad pricey but well worth the price when you factor in the quality of the meat. Came with a side of chips. Will be back

Someone I trust implicitly had suggested that I hire Chef Andrey to provide craft services for a multi-day video shoot I was directing, and boy-oh-boy am I glad I took that advice. Providing craft services for location shooting is tricky business; you don't just need to make healthful, delicious, quality food that caters to a variety of specialty eaters, you also need to be flexible in terms of timing and delivery, and then bring everything on to a busy set without getting in anyone's way. Chef Andrey did all that and more. He was 100% reliable, delightful, accommodating, and professional, and every spread he put out made the cast and crew feel appreciated, valued, and most importantly, well nourished!! I hired Delicacy Catering for a family party and was specifically looking for BBQ items...Chef Andrey helped me plan the menu considering the estimated number of guests by ordering off the Entree by Tray menu. Was able to order and pay over the phone, delivery was seamless. Everything was super easy and the party planning was so much less stressful not having to make the food myself. Got rave reviews from guests on the pulled pork and chicken. Being a vegan myself, I loved the grilled veggies, fingerling potatoes, and broccoli slaw! The food was so good that guests asked for the catering info after the party. Thank you for all your help and amazing food!

Best sandwiches on Farmington ave. Also they just added lunch buffet with delicious soups and some other stuff. Salads are to die for. Don't forget to pick up some of those daily in house made potato chips.

Best grinders and best selection of europian beer. If you like good food Andrey is your guy. We had a party for 40 people. We had salads, sandwiches and soup. It was just amazing. It is better to try it once then hear it 100 times. Will come again!

I was able to work with Chef Andrey personally--and I had an absolutely wonderful experience. He was flexible with my budget, provided a detailed menu with his own flares on my original requests, and on top of that, was able to provide vegetarian options for my Thanksgiving gathering. I opted to pick up the food instead of having it delivered, and to my surprise he provided 'no slip' cardboard containers for each of the pans I ordered, ensuring that my order wouldn't tip or spill in my car--extra bonus! The food was delicious, everyone loved the quality and flavor he was able to provide. Thanks so much, Chef Andrey! 100% recommend.
