I could not leave a review speaking highly enough of this company. The food was absolutely AMAZING and beautiful as well as very reasonably priced- we had SO many compliments from our guests. They were incredibly flexible with allergies and even made one guest her own meal and wrote us a note with the ingredients and where it was- since it was separate from the other food. They did pick up and drop off which made our lives so much easier. The best thing for me was we had our reception in our house and told the catering company our wedding colors- they didn't tell us that they were going to show up with decorations that matched ours to go around the food. They made it look so incredibly beautiful. I was not expecting that at all. They even arranged a few things in our house so they were nicer- like put the garbage in the garage so we didn't have a big ugly mess- I wouldn't have thought to do that myself. Incredible food, incredible service. My husband and I are incredibly happy with how everything turned out.

We used Cravings Catering for our recent wedding. From the beginning I ran into problems. They seemed to have a hard time returning my phone calls for one thing. But, after looking around I saw the reviews were very good for this company, so I thought I would give them another chance. We chose our menu and had our tasting. For some reason, none of the emails they supposedly sent ever got to me. They blamed my email, but I didn't have this problem with anyone else, and checked my spam box. But when it came to 'the big day' things weren't the way they were supposed to be. First off, the linens were wrong. Then, the chicken was so dry it was inedible. The buffet itself was set up beautifully. But, the servers I paid so dearly for did not even get guests their drinks, just pointed them in the direction to get them themselves. We spent over $5000 for heavy apps for just 90 people. I really felt we got less than we paid for.

We used Cravings 5 Star Catering for our wedding. I was very impressed with the delicious lemon chicken and garlic mashed potatoes. They also had a quick team that switched our venue over quickly between the venue and ceremony. If you have a buffet they will match your theme to decorate the buffet. I would highly recommend paying extra to have a bartender come, our bar was handled seamlessly! The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars were some small details. I had met with them several times and typed up all of our wedding details very clearly so there would be no questions, then on the day of the wedding the caterers were bothering my mother with questions. Our tables were set-up 2 hours early. And there was some confusion and unfortunately our champagne wedding toast was 20 minutes late.

We worked with Lauren (their event coordinator) for over a year to plan our wedding. She was absolutely amazing! I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Lauren helped us to plan out a beautiful menu for our guests. She was also there the day of the event to ensure that thinks went smoothly. The lead server Carol was so sweet and came up to my husband and I to congratulate us. She was very attentive to our needs and the needs of our guests. Our guests RAVED about the food. We had a steak and ravioli station. Our appetizers were Cordon bleu balls and crab cakes (so good). The lines ran smoothly as the servers excused the tables.

Thank you to Cravings for helping make my wedding day the best day I have ever had in my entire life. From the very beginning when I came in to meet with the event manager to clean up at the end - everything went so smooth. I never had to worry about a thing. I explained to Kathy what kind of ideas I had for the menu. What she came up with surpassed my expectations. All of the food was grilled on site at the reception, it was beautifully prepared and the presentation was amazing. I wasn't sure what I wanted to use for table clothes and Kathy had several different samples sent to her by the rental company and let me try them all out. It rained all during the ceremony while we were at the church and my reception was outside. We did plan ahead for a large tent to be placed in the yard, there were a few areas in the yard that were uncovered. Thank you to Kathy's fast thinking and great relationships with the rental company they came and put up two small tents so that our guests would be comfortable everywhere in the yard. This was all done before the guests arrived at the house. I don't know what I would have done without your help. Thank you!!

I would NOT recommend Cravings as a wedding caterer. Especially, if anyone has grain intolerance. I, as the bride made it clear on several occasions verbally and in written form that I do no tolerate any grain, not just gluten, or any dairy. Michelle said the meat would be fine and that they would have some grain and dairy free chocolate with fruit as our "cutting of the cake". At the actual reception a server presented me with a couscous stuffed acorn squash. This is not only not what we decided on, but I also cannot eat quinoa as it is a grain! When I told this to the server and explained that I was planning on eating the chicken, she said there was dairy in the sauce and the only thing I could eat was the tri-tip. As if this wasn't bad enough, there was absolutely no communication between Michelle and the chef regarding the gluten and dairy free chocolate. One of the servers had to run to the grocery store in the middle of the reception and the "cake cutting" was delayed. It is one thing to mess up one thing, it is another to disregard the brides' specific wishes regarding her food intolerances and cause her grief on her big day!!!!!

We trust Michelle and her team to always provide excellent customer service from start to finish. She ensures that the food and service are always top notch. Being in Florida and trying to arrange my son's wedding rehearsal dinner in Colorado Springs, was a challenge in itself. Cravings came highly recommended by the brides family and I was very pleased with all the support and help I received from Cravings in setting up the menu and then executing flawlessly on that special evening. The web site offered great menus and then the personal help was outstanding. Thank you all for all the followup emails, help with the menu and doing all the little things that made the dinner special for all of us. While I have used Cravings/the Picnic Basket family of catering companies for a variety of events, I had a particularly wonderful experience this past week. I worked with Yana on a corporate party, and from working with our budget to coordinating our alcohol and rentals, I couldn't have asked for anything more. The food was amazing (although I may have eaten a few too many of the bacon wrapped dates…) and I received a large number of complements from guests about the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. In fact, I even had three different people come up to me after seeing the catering van outside and say, “Oh you’re using Buffalo Gals, I love them!" (Buffalo Gals is their BBQ arm, highly recommended) Overall, if you're looking for great quality food at a variety of price points and excellent service, I would highly recommend using this company.

Picnic Basket has catered many events for our company. Each time has been a wonderful and easy experience. Our employees and clients love the food and the presentation is always beautiful. They are very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to menu items and quantity. They are also reasonably priced and a very professional company.
