Great place for breakfast! One of the things that surprised me the most was that they give a delicious basket of treats before you get your food.it comprised of two of each: chocolate biscuit, zucchini bread, and bread pudding. My favorite was the bread pudding - so good and not too sweet. The menu is a good size and has plenty to choose from. I ordered Nana's omelet with a side of chicken Apple sausage. The first thing I noticed was that the sausages were small. I was expecting larger sausages, but they were good nonetheless. The omelet was fluffy and and pretty big. I got full quite fast. The service was excellent. We sat at the bar and were served rather quickly. The only caveat was that the bar itself has a 3 inch lip that you have to eat over, that was a small price to pay for a busy Saturday morning. It's first come first served for bar seating, but there is no wait. There are only four or five seats, however, so be on the lookout. It is pricey. I think I'd only be able to make this a once a week sort if thing. However the ingredients are fresh and pretty good.

Love..love..love this breakfast place. The food is excellent..the waitstaff is really professional and it's a very cozy place. Plus, u get yummy complimentary pastries (b4 it runs out) prior to your meal. We were served the most moist bread pudding I've ever had. We also got chocolate coffee cake as well as regular coffee cake. They were all very good and tasty. Jeff, the manager was super sweet. When I inquired about buying a piece of bread pudding and bringing it back home. He gave it to me for free. Wow!! I was very impressed! Go here for the food. Stay for the exceptional service.

My mom asked the waitress what was popular to order for breakfast. The waitress, who had been working there for 20 years and has sampled pancakes from various restaurants stated these were the best she's ever had. She highly recommended ordering them. She was right! Yum. And the chicken apples sausage was scrumptious. This was all on my mom's plate and I ended up eating half. Oopps.I normally don't like pancakes because they just stuff me too much. These were light and fluffy and PERFECT. I would absolutely recommend the chicken apples sausage too.

Food can be tasty, IF it's made fresh and cooks in a good mood. If you come past noon your experience will not be as good. Always out of favorites , they don't plan ahead. Servers never look up or at your table and it's hard getting good service. Can be noisy and rushed , ruining the desired experience.

Who doesn't love a good breakfast place? Sunrise wasn't half bad, super busy, we had to wait maybe 20 minutes before we were seated, the servers seemed a little flustered, but the food was good. Got myself an Omelet - kept it simple, just spinach and nothing else ( I know, wow, what a culinary adventure I went on here). Walnut Creek, CA 4 stars may be a tad bit generous for this casual breakfast and lunch diner We ordered a Rueben to split and a cobb salad. The house rolls were delicious, dressings were good, salad toppings like avocado were slightly brown...overall good, but not sure I would be back. Nevertheless, food still tasted above average hence the 4 stars.

For a $16 omelette I was not impressed. First thing I knowticed was that the egg was only cooked on one side, and was not even fully cooked. 2nd the ham was very thin, they should use 1/4 inch slices. Sausage was okay. The omlelette was definitely filling. Potatoes had no flavor and it seemed as if the cook just smashed them with his hand as they were cooking them. Service was meh as you had to ask for everything. Water was good. I got to substitute the bacon instead of toast, and was Still not impressed with the meat. Place was clean and very busy, tables were perfect height and not awkward. I'm very picky when it comes to breakfast food as it is my favorite meal. Staff was nice. Sorry guys but the price and quality don't even match one bit. I don't like to give bad reviews if it's my first time visiting but this I had to.

I come here about once a month with friends and we are never disappointed. The wait for brunch on weekends is usually about 20 to 30 minutes, and you can't make reservations. You can, however, call ahead to put your name on the list for a seat. Just make sure you'll be there shortly so you don't miss your name being called. I highly suggest the corned beef hash with half sweet and half regular potatoes.

Forewarning the wait as long. Brunch time here at sunrise bistro could take upwards of 30 to 45 minutes but it's absolutely worth it. After you place your order youget complimentary pastries, Cinnamon bread and chocolate chip banana bread. Everything we ordered was delicious. The portions are excellently sized and absolutely delicious. You're able to order two sides with your meal and they have a range of fruit, potatos, cooked vegetables, protein and even pancakes.

For healthy, delicious food, this place can't be beat. My friends and I love to go here after church on Sundays. Top to bottom, the staff truly like working here and it shows in every detail. On a Sunday there could be a wait, but it's well worth it. Can't think of a better place in Walnut Creek to eat breakfast or lunch. This is the place to go.

I've had breakfast and lunch here lots of times. No complaints or suggestions for improvement. The food is always delicious and the staff is always friendly. The only couple of things worth mentioning is that the parking lot gets congested, but considering the location, that's to be expected. Also, it can take a while to be seated, but it's usually busy when I've come. I just bust out something to read and service seems fast because I'm not bored.

Stopped in for Saturday brunch around noon, 10 minute wait time for 2. Server was very quick, complementary mini pastries were an added bonus (and delicious). Food came out quick and hot. Eggs Benedict was good. Will be back for brunch again! Second visit, was a wait to be seated for brunch. Not bad. But then service was very slow, didn’t get anyone to get us coffee for a while. Food was good, but not amazing enough to wait for.

My wife and I were here once many years ago when the restaurant was a 1/3 its present size. We decided to go back for a rare breakfast out on Fathers Day. We arrived early enough to be seated immediately and service was prompt, friendly and courteous. Armed with fresh hot coffee and some pastries, we ordered and relaxed till our breakfast arrived. Unfortunately neither my wife nor I were very impressed. I noticed right away that my omelet was not that hot although it was cooked throughout. It didn't get any better as the more I ate the colder things got. Maybe my taste buds were "off" this morning but it tasted pretty bland. My wife faired a bit better but once we had paid and were back to the car we were both in agreement about our dissatisfaction. I think 3 stars for the price paid, was a pretty generous rating.

Love their South of the Border Breakfast. Their home baked goods are outstanding. Sunday Brunch comes with a selection of tempting pastries with your coffee. We love this place. Their bloody Mary is UFB! It is worth the wait if you get there after 9am on the weekend.

Had the smoked brisket hash which was fantastic. Great combination of apples, sweet potatoes, smoked brisket, bacon and poached eggs. My wife had the Carnitas with eggs which was likewise great. Our server Maddie did a great job as well.

They got my order wrong, that’s all. I got a Benni and asked specifically to have poached eggs medium (they always come ‘easy’). And asked for some tomatoes on the side. Our waiter did not include ‘medium’ in his ticket, and get this, substituted my potatoes for some tomato slices. I worked in the restaurant business, that’s not how it works. I should give less stars, but my wife enjoyed her Lox and Scrambled. Place is Okay, I think it’s overrated.

My son, his significant other and I have been having Sunday brunch here every other week, since 2011. One of our most favorite dishes is Nana's Omelet. I have noticed that recently (past six months) the amount of veggies has grown with what seems like twice or more of the amount of veggies from past years. That's gonna be my standing brunch order for awhile. Also, I order the breakfast sausage as one of my sides. Last time I ordered the chicken sausage instead. What a pleasant surprise. Nice and plump and juicy. Their coffee is also terrific. I can understand why there is always a line-up of hungry folks waiting for seating during brunch time. If you don't like to wait, get there before 9:30 am.
