The entire Pure Joy team was amazing! In particular, Ellen was an extraordinary partner in helping me and my husband design and execute a beautiful menu for our wedding. We had peace of mind at each step in the process (even during our big day) because Pure Joy is truly the best. Paying a little more than some other local vendors was totally worth it - the food was so fresh and delicious and they paid attention to every small detail. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or any other event when you want to deliver an extraordinary experience to your guests.

Pure Joy was such a pleasure to work with. From our initial call to the actual wedding day, every concern/question/comment we had was met with professionalism and understanding. There was one miscommunication snafu, but since we were planning our wedding in Los Olivos from Alaska, it's to be expected. Patrick, Kacie, and the rest of the staff were a dream to work with! The number one comment we keep hearing from our guests is just how amazing our food and desserts were, and we absolutely agree! Thank you for everything!

We hired Pure Joy for our small wedding - 23 people. They did a multi-course sit down dinner with passed appetizers. Food was simply delicious! So much so that we asked for a couple of the recipes :) Service was impeccable. Polite, friendly, and attentive. Patrick was great to work with from the beginning - great communication from start to finish. We had a last minute change in the venue for the ceremony due to the weather and they accommodated us willing. Very professional team. What they delivered was definitely worth what we paid. Highly recommended.

If you’re thinking about using pure joy catering don’t think just do!!!! They’re absolutely amazing. Every person that we dealt with was so accommodating. They made us feel comfortable with our choices and we’re so knowledgeable in every aspect of our wedding. The food stations and main courses were definitely some of the best food we have ever had!! Presentation was on point just as the service was. We highly recommended using Pure joy catering for your next event. Way to go guys you rock!!!

I used Pure Joy for my wedding many years ago. It was a large part of our budget, but the food was important to me, so we splurged. We had multiple people tell us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. A friend of mine who is now getting married just contracted with Pure Joy, because 9 years later she still remembers how good the food was at our wedding. Highly recommend them!

Last week we held a groundbreaking ceremony for a brand new senior living community called GranVida in Carpinteria, CA. Pure Joy catered our event and we were very pleased with the food, the service, and the friendliness and professionalism of the team who served us. Working with Ellen in planning everything was wonderful as well, she was very responsive to every need we encountered and made sure we had every detail covered.. We had an incredible experience working with Pure Joy for our wedding this past November. As lovers of food, we had high expectations for our caterer and Pure Joy did not disappoint. Our menu was unique and Lynette did the research to make the menu of our dreams and the team executed it with perfection. We continue to be told by our friends and family that it was hands down the best food they had ever tasted at a wedding. Beyond the food, Pure Joy handled the entire event planning process and the execution on the day of went without a hitch. We had numerous events and stations throughout the event. Each area was setup and torn down throughout the evening without the guests noticing and a great time was had by all. I'll never have to hire another wedding caterer for myself, but I'll happily recommend Pure Joy to anyone on the hunt! You won't be disappointed.

Be careful when working with Pure Joy. The contracting process was far from straight forward and led us to eventually walking away from our deposit. We were simply misled and felt manipulated. We decided to go with another caterer.

Super creative flavor combinations with nearly all local ingredients, and everything was delicious! The shrimp skewers with (some kind of) zesty seasoning and cilantro dip - ROCKED MY WORLD. Pure Joy was a joy to work with! They really listened to what we wanted and the food was sooooo delicious. All fresh and amazing. We had the raw bar which I highly recommend and a few food stations with paella, tacos and ravioli along with amazing veggies. I got sooo many compliments on how good the food was! They were very much willing to work with us and listen to what our vision was and to make sure we got what we wanted while still working with us on the budget. They were very professional and easy to work with. I definitely recommend! Patrick did an amazing job on the night, directing a perfect event. If anything went even remotely wrong behind the scenes we had no idea - it ran perfectly. And this in spite of some unruly guests throwing spanners in the works. Patrick acted with commendable professionalism and dedication throughout. One of our friends - likely (undoubtedly...) the most pretentious foodie we know, who is currently studying culinary sciences in Italy - told us that the tacos were the best he had eaten. Our vegan guests (bless them) loved the market fresh seasonal roasted veg - seasoned to perfection. The oysters and Ponzu scallops were my husband's personal highlight - he had to be dragged away from the Raw bar to go take photos. The French guests, of which there were plenty, couldn't get enough of the ice cream cookie sandwiches.

Pure joy catered my sister's wedding and did an exceptional job. Everything looked amazing and the food was absolutely incredible. I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone else to cater your events.
