I always eat at Newks. Love it! Sometimes, a manager will hand over a drink on the house with my to-go order. They always have exceptional customer service but today, they went above and beyond. They had gotten my mac and cheese wrong and since I work not even 2 miles away, they delivered the right one to me within minutes. This was great, considering I had only gotten a side salad and couldn't leave from work again!

We went to the Hot Springs Newk's Eatery. The store was extremely and packed around 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday. I ordered potato soup and chicken bacon ranch sandwich. My wife had the Greek salad. All of it was amazing and tasted really good.

Their food is different from all the common options. It is excellent. An example: there is tomato soup, and then there is Newk 's .. more like a bisque .. fabulous. Salads and breads, including sandwiches are just great. The menu is expansive. The wait staff is friendly, helpful and timely. The price is reasonable. I love the place and recommend Newk 's to every one.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Awesome food, very friendly staff, and even though there often very busy, they keep it very clean. Open kitchen is a nice touch, and little extras like pickle bar ( not sure what to call it ) are great. Nice to eat in and very convenient take out. Best sandwiches and great pizzas (smaller but delicious, get one to share with your meal ) Worth a visit!

Recommended by a colleague as a good place for a quick meal that is not "fast food." Convenient location, very friendly and helpful staff. Order and pay at the till for dine-in, but food brought to your table per the number I was given. The Tuesday specials for soups included lobster & crab bisque, which I ordered in a pairing with the Meek's Q chicken sandwich with white BBQ sauce (both as recommended by the cashier), along with a beverage and slice of 12 layer chocolate cake. Self-service drinks: tried the raspberry unsweetened tea with a little of the regular sweet tea. Decent food, good variety, decent prices... I'll go back.

I have eaten at Newk's Eatery 3 times in the last 2 weeks. The food is great. I've had the cobb salad twice already and this last time shared a piece of the chocolate cake with someone. The staff has been extremely friendly, especially Angel who introduced herself to us today. I shared with her how much I liked the food and she told us about where the cakes are made for the eatery. The food has come quickly and staff is solicitous of needs when asked for help. I have already taken two different sets of friends there and have given my family the menu to look at for the next time they are going out to eat or want to do carry out. Love it!

The concept is very similar to McAlister's for obvious reasons (it's a fast-casual place with a bit of an upscale feel, and started by the same people who started McAlister's), but the menu is quite different and seems to have quite a bit of southern flair. I did the "whole and a half" pairing deal, which meant I got a pizza in addition to a half portion of something else. The Newk's Q pizza sort of took me off-guard... I was not aware that white BBQ sauce was made using horseradish. The combination of this and the pickled jalapenos on top resulted in a fair amount of heat. I think I will want to try the Debra next time. For the half portion, I got mac & cheese, which was definitely good. The peanut butter crispy dessert was pretty standard; the sweet tea was good, but I have to say it seemed to taste considerably different from McAlister's, so I don't think they used the same recipe. My only complaint was that the person at the register seemed rather clueless about the menu and could not offer any guidance on how ordering the pairing worked. This is probably a training issue.

I wish I could give them a fair review but I don't live on a planet where it's acceptable to take 30 minutes plus to bring out a single salad. Agreed it was a lunch hour rush during a weekday, but they've bit more than they can chew. Never coming here again since I don't have the luxury to spend an hour eating salad during lunch.

Newk's is a great place to go for lunch. If you're in a hurry order ahead via phone or the website. The pizzas are pretty good by opt out of the whole tomato slices on the pizza. The sandwiches are good and the soups are delicious. The crawfish soup, can't remember the real name, is fantastic. Sometimes it gets a little bit loud during the lunch rush though.

I wasn’t to impressed at all really by the menu and neither was my roommate the guy told me there was 5 oz of meat on the sandwich and that was questionable and it was gross so don’t get the roast beef sandwich. Then they don’t follow directions very well and delivered my friends chicken sandwich with bacon on it.

It was ok. I had the PO Boy and there was maybe 6 shrimp on it and the toasted bread was so think and crunchy it took away from what was actually on the sandwich. I also had the coleslaw as a side and it was dry. No dressing, no vinegar, etc. so it was basically just a small container of shredded cabbage. I think they forgot to rinse out the sweet tea dispenser after washing it as it tasted like soap. "These are my opinions of my single experience and do not reflect the experience of others that come here and are free to comment. This is in no way a condemnation of this establishment as several of my lunch companions stated their soup and sandwich was really good."

Great food, with a lot of interesting combinations of ingredients. I used to be a regular customer at McAllister’s next door but now I definitely prefer the more interesting variety at Newks. I usually visit in the evenings. The manager when they first opened was much more attentive and involved and had a regular presence on the floor of the restaurant, but now when I visit in the evenings I never see or hear from a manager. The rest of the employees are not as attentive to the customers as they should be any more.

This was my husband and i's first visit to Newks off Merdian. We have visited the restaurant in Greenwood and have been very satisfied. The Newks off Merdian - the workers were very friendly. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. Both of us ordered Broccoli and cheese soup and I had half a sandwich. While waiting on our order I walked up to get some peppers for my sandwich. I heard the conversation in the kitchen. One person was asking another dont we have more broccoli soup in back? We were brought the soup to our booth. Looking at the soup there was a touch of broccoli in the bowls and lots of potatoes. The soup tasted like potato soup. We stopped the associate that brought our order explaining we had potato soup but were told no its broccoli and cheddar. There are potatoes in the brocolli soup. We stopped the manager and asked her/told her we had potato soup not brocolli . She told us,Oh yeah I can see the potatoes. Let me check on this and we never saw her again until we were walking out the door. I wish they had told us we are out of broccoli soup.What would you like in its place? Instead they acted like we didnt know what we were talking about. We did try the lemon cake and it was good. We left disappointed and a touch insulted. We were disappointed because we are in the area several times a week and were excited about the Newks.....Wish it had turned out to be a better visit.

This place is phenomenal, from the food to the cleanliness. We came here on Sunday because we wanted something different than McAllister’s. Still a favorite but it was a nice change. The food was great, they had an awesome lobster and crab bisque and the sandwiches are great. My boyfriend had the shrimp po’ boy and i had the chicken club. Our food came out quickly and the service was great. Will definitely be back again, this location will be a new favorite! Great parking options and they also allowed pets in the patio seating. Kids eat free all weekend with a entree purchase so it will be a nice place to take my niece or for any families!

I love this place, but I can honestly say it does not compare with the nukes at the coast. The pimento mac and cheese doesn't have near as much bacon and the nukes Q Pizza doesn't have near as many toppings as the one at the coast. The coast one gets 5 stars. Hattiesburg just slightly behind.

Newk's serves a great thin crust pizza with flavorful toppings. My only complaint to the thin crust is that they don't pre-bake it to give it a nice crispness prior to adding all of the toppings. The sandwich that my companion had was a roasted chicken that she stated was very good. Our to go order was prepared and delivered out to our table just in time for us to head out. I would recommend that this location be added to your food experience in Hot Springs.

Like I couldn’t even eat the sandwich as a whole because my teeth weren’t strong enough to tear the meat. I honestly feel personally abliged to go to that cow’s old farm, which I’m guessing is somewhere in Mexico considering how old it tasted, and make a full on public apology for the legacy he lived up to.

They are very considerate of customer service though, manager gave me a free drink because I had to wait for my takeout. Also, if you plan on doing takeout, for the love of god just order online. Takeout is the bottom of the priority list behind dine-in and online orders, so you will wait through about 15 online orders before they get to yours. Not sure if I will go back, food was good but way to pricey.

This was a training session before the restaurant actually opens and I visited this restaurant 3 days in a row. I had never been to Newk’s before, but found it to be very enjoyable. Our party liked our food very much. My Newk’s Favorite salad looked very different than the online picture and the salad greens were also a little brown although still very tasty. This was fixed by day two which lets you know they LISTEN. Day two and three salads were fantastic! The pizza, pepperoni and sausage, was great and I liked the “Roundtable” experience with the extra fixings. I also tried the Loaded Potato soup. Oh, boy, was it delicious! Finally, on day three I had a chance to try that fabulous Mac n cheese with pimentos and bacon. FREAKING DELICIOUS! Newk’s has an AWESOME, attentive staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, informative and the manager stopped by our table each time we went! Kindness goes a long way with me! I really don’t think I have EVER been treated so well at a restaurant before and that says a lot. Kent and Jill are two names I remember, but honestly, every worker I encountered was super. I cannot emphasize enough how great the staff was! The decor and layout of the restaurant was beautiful, colorful, roomy, and inviting. The bathroom was even beautiful - and very clean. I will definitely go back once they officially open and can’t wait to try a 12 layer cake! Thank you! Update: I finally got a chance to try the 12 layer carmel cake. Well...the icing was good but not enough of it and the cake was just...je ne sais quoi.

Ordered the advocado turkey sandwich and it tasted fresh and succulent. Ingredients were fresh, bread was just crusty enough and the service was fast and outstanding. I went for lunch on a weekday with a large group of 12. Our orders were quickly taken care of. Supervisor on the floor was very active, helped take our order and even bussed our table all the while inquiring. The lady helping our table, Amanda, had a fantastic attitude. Newk's is somewhat hidden between McD's and McAllister's on the corner of Meridian and 96th. Walked in for a late lunch today and for a brief minute was overwhelmed by the diverse options on the menu. No worries however as I was greeted immediately and EVERYTHING was explained to me in a fast and orderly manner by Ken. I went with a half-and-half - sandwich and soup - just because the 4 or 5 soup options sounded so awesome. To keep this short all I will say is my sandwich (Po-Boy) and soup (Crab and Corn Chowder) were simply EXCELLENT. . Both were fresh and very tasty, service was fast, and drink options were above and beyond. Many unique choices you're not going to find at any other fast-casual restaurant in the area. LOOK FOR THIS PLACE AND TRY IT. You won't be disappointed.

We have been remodeling our home so we have been eating to-go a lot. Newk's is our favorite! There food is always fresh and prepared really well. It's a nice way to eat healthy. Servings are large so it's a good value. We have ordered several things but the Ultimate salad is my favorite. Also, the Caesar with Chicken, the Margherita pizza and Turkey Breast sandwich is great. We have also tried soup and pimento cheese (which has a nice kick) and the kid's menu if really good. Staff is very friendly, especially the manager that works weekday evenings. She remembers me and always double-checks the order before I leave. My favorite thing about Newk's is that I can totally customize my salad and sandwiches online. There are lots of choices to add and subtract to items. Salads are HUGE. I can never eat a full one. I have never eaten in but its looks nice inside and there are usually several people there. Definitely give it a try!

One of my employees picked up lunch for me here, and the wrong salad was made and brought to me. I understand, mistakes happen, so I called the restaurant to inform them of the mishap. The salad I received was riddled with onions and avocado, which I HATE with every fiber of my being, so I would not be eating the salad. The lady I spoke with apologized profusely and offered to remake the salad for me. I explained that I wouldn't be able to leave as I was the only manager and I couldn't send anyone to pick it up. She then OFFERED to deliver the salad to me!! She brought the salad herself, and even brought a huge piece of pumpkin cake as a gift. Customer service like this is hard to find, and it's refreshing to see that people will still go above and beyond for someone. We shouldn't expect people to be perfect and base their reviews on if something gets screwed up along the way, but on the individual actions on attempting to correct the problem. The salad was delicious!

Newk's is my newest favorite place to eat... I'm addicted! I could eat the Salmon Caesar Salad every day of my life (In fact, I was out of town for a week, and in the last 18 hours I've been home I've eaten it twice!). The Pimiento Cheese sandwich and Pimiento Mac are also delicious and sinful. The pizzas are all SO good, but I love the Sicilian. Last, the tomato basil soup is just the best soup I've ever had. I could bathe in it. Everything is fresh, from scratch, and the staff is super friendly. Their GM, PJ, is the best. Also -- YOU HAVE to get the cake. Strawberry and Chocolate are the best. We're literally using them for our wedding in October. Did I mention I'm addicted?!

I was with a large group (all paying individually) and they took our orders but told us not to pay now, which seemed odd as they would have to then later figure out who ordered what when ringing up the bills. We eventually did end up being allowed to pay before getting our meal (after repeating what we ordered). It's a new restaurant and hopefully issues like these will be worked out as otherwise it seems like a great place to eat and somewhere I'd definitely come back for a quick bite.
