OMGoodness. Y'all need to drive straight past those other BBQ places and come here! The pork and beef melt in your mouth. The smoked boudin sandwich was superb especially for someone who's not from Louisana making it! The owner was on site and working just as hard as the waitress, he was very friendly and actually sat down to talk to every table. We will be returning!

We got a carry out order of bbq beef sandwiches with the baked potato salad and two fried okra sides. They were delicious. The okra orders were larger than expected. The baked potato salad was like a baked potato with the works. Very unusual. We'll definitely be regular customers.

The ribs at Hog Pen are the best I've had in the country. Not just in Conway...the country! Compared even to Memphis ribs & their many BBQ places - these fall off the bone & without all the sauce. Great dry rub. And you should definitely try the twice cooked chicken - not dry & full of flavor!

Incredible food: pork rinds appetizer, dry rib platter with potato salad, baked beans, and hush puppies (with honey for dipping). My wife and I split the meal and still had leftovers. A family owned/run joint with tremendous southern hospitality. Loved it!

This is a family style, neighborhood restaurant. I had a fantastic overall experience. I Was there on a summer weeknight at 5:30 pm. The restaurant was busy but well managed. I received a friendly greeting when I entered from Simone my waitress. Drink promptly offered and brought, menu explained. I had, fried pork skin, 2 large pulled pork sandwiches, half a slab of ribs, and coleslaw. I like the character of the BBQ. It was smokey and tender. The sauce was very good as well. I like a little more heat but had no complaints. When I was paying the owner (former service member from the picture out front) was asked how I enjoyed the meal. Very friendly... Good thing I don't live close by...I wouldn't fit in my car.

I came back to visit my old stomping grounds from Oakland, CA and tool my girlfriend here. We eat red meat once a week so I wanted to bring her to one of the best places to eat BBQ in the southern US. This place was amazing! The sliced beef sandwich and chopped beef dinner with potato salad, cole slaw, and fried okra are world class items on the menu. This is a definite cosmopolitan travelers choice eatery. Bon a petite!

Stopped for dinner while traveling through and I don't think you will find a better place. The food was outstanding. They gave both of us a free rib since it was our first time there. The portions were large and the price was right. I even spoke to the owner who might be one of the nicest guys I ever met. You need to stop here !!

I absolutely love this food!! The potato salad is the best I've ever had and the pulled pork is fantastic!!!!! Only problem is the hours..we came in at 745 on a Sat night and had to go downtown. I wish they would stay open till at least 9! Keep up the great work

We loved it! The food was wonderful, the atmosphere, furniture, and blues playing in the background was very relaxing. Everything was good: the waitress did a good job, the restaurant was spotless. And the owner was the best part...he came by our table to chat for several minutes and even thanked us for stopping by. We are already looking forward to going back next time we're in Conway!!

Excellent BBQ, and the homemade desserts are outstanding. If you know you're going there for lunch and have a particular dessert you'd like to have, give Ms. Forte a call around 8:00-8:30 and let her know. Desserts are by customer request each day. I would STRONGLY suggest the chocolate cake!

Man, oh man do these folks do BBQ right!!! You know it is going to be good when you get out of the car and smell that wood smoke and...well, I just can't quite describe it. The pulled pork is delicious but if you want a little taste of heaven, the ribs are are where it is at.

I had the rib/ribblet dinner with baked beans and potato salad. My wife had the catfish and rib dinner with slaw and sweet potato fries. Everything was absolutely delicious. I don't know how I've lived in Conway for 10 years and never been here. Seriously, go right now. Oh, and did I mention we also had the best chocolate cake that either of us have had in our lives!! 5 stars because it won't allow me to give more.

Superlicious!! I recently had oral surgery which makes eating extremely difficult. I didnt have any trouble eating the food at HPB. The fish is flaky, ribs so tender I ate them with a fork. Affordable delicious down home cooking served at a reasonable wait time. And, customer service is superb!

First time customer today and WOW I was blown away!! I've ate a lot of BBQ in Texas, but this was hands down my favorite. I usually don't prefer chicken, but after eating a bite of my husbands, I couldn't keep my hands off his plate. The ribs were also so soft they fell right off the bone. Staff is very friendly and the owner personally came to speak to each table to ensure everything was great. We will definitely stop here again!

The best bbq hands down!! I met the owner while I was at work one night and he said to come check him out, so I finally got around to it and I was FAR from disappointed! Had the pulled pork sandwich and it was everything you could want! Tender meat, great sauce topped with a nice soft bun! It doesn't get any better! Definitely check them out because they are doing bbq in all the right ways!

This place is a rarity, a true hole-in-the-wall in the same building as a tobacco shop, run by black women that don't mess around when it comes to BBQ. It's some of the best food I've had since I moved to Arkansas. You can order pulled pork by the pound and they also cater. The restaurant is really tiny, but you'll never hear me complain about the food. Definitely the best BBQ in Faulkner County.

Older lady wait staff bossy and seemed angry, told me what I would have, and argued with walk in patron, he almost left, he commented as she went to place his order, "if the food was not good, i would have just left"

Wife and I decided to go to hog pen for lunch. It has been years since I have last eaten here. We both ordered the pork lunch plate. I had the potato salad and hushpuppies with mine and the wife has fried okra and baked beans. All four sides had great flavor and the pork was good. They only had once sauce option which was good but I wish they had a spicy option available on the table. We also had a smoked boudin link which had great spice in it. Over all we had a great lunch. Only thing that threw me for curve ball was they only accept cash or checks. We were lucky that my wife had some cash on her at the time.

My favorite barbecue joint anywhere in the area. Smoked and pulled pork or beef, tasty ribs, boudin sausage, fresh pork skins. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. They don't take credit cards, so be sure to bring cash or check. Oh yeah, and don't forget your appetite!
