BBQ was tender and flavorful. Mac and cheese was plenty cheesy and very good. Nothing super bold or standout about this place but very good BBQ. Our server was friendly and quick. Will eat here again.

Really damn good BBQ. Lots of different meat options that are all tender and well seasoned. Best cornbread around and loaded mashed potatoes. The mini donuts are the perfect end to your meal.

What a wonderful establishment! We popped into Bobby-Q BBQ right after reaching AZ on our visit from Northern Idaho. Our party of 5 including 4 adults and a toddler were greated warmly and promptly by the hostess. Our server was attentive and had great suggestions. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to our friends and family in the area!

Great ribs of all varieties-beef ribs are the best I every tasted. Very good selection of sides including mac & cheese, good veg. mix and excellent fries. They also serve very good corn bread and mini donuts for desert at no extra charge. Be sure to make reservations as this is a very popular and busy restaurant. Also excellent table service. Went with a business associate to talk shop. The happy hour was fair, the food was good, and the server left us alone enough so we could chat. The bbq was fair to good and the prices weren't bad.

We had Brisket tacos and sandwiches. Both were delicious!!! The Baby back ribs are outstanding!!! Oh and the corn bread was fantastic!!! We will definitely be back and highly recommend eating here.

Amazing sauces and tender, smoky meats. Ribs fall off the bone and brisket comes apart on the fork. I loved their spicy BBQ sauce the most. The cornbread is sweet, fluffy, and crumbly.

Totally packed with customers. Good sign! Someone is making customers happy! We got there at 6pm and were seated immediately for a 6:15 reservation. Drinks were ordered and served immediately. We ordered all types of meats. All the dishes were very well accepted. We are moving out of state but when we come back this will be one of the first places we visit.

Service was good. Portions were good. Food was just okay. The ribs weren't great. They weren't bad, but they were just blah. In fact, I left feeling inspired to go cook some myself. I had them this weekend and affirmed that mine are far and away better. Which, at the price they charge, is just sad. I was seriously hopeful it would be better. Maybe it was just an off night, buti didn't get that impression. Great, great atmosphere though.

Very crowded at my time of arrival. Waited about 20 minutes or so. Once seated, was waited on promptly. Food came quickly. Wait staff was quick to refill drinks and ask if I needed anything further. Two rib combo was served hot and it was fall-off-the-bone delicious. BBQ sauce made a very nice compliment. Sides were plentiful (baked potato and veggies). Couldn't fit desert but left with some tasty mini donuts. Some entrees on the pricy side. Definitely will go back when in the area.

This is definitely a hole in the wall considering it's location, but wow is their food just absolutely amazing. On top of that the staff are friendly and inviting and it feels as if you're going to a backyard bbq at your friends. I highly recommend and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Great customer service! Great food! The brisket sandwich and ribs are flavorful and tender. The sides are good and filling. The desserts and lemonade are sweet. The cornbread is soft and kind of sweet, too. The wait wasn't too bad and the price is what you would expect for real slow-cooked meat. I can't wait to go back. This place is great. I love the atmosphere and the food. I got a very positive vibe from the hostess and servers. I ordered the beef and pork ribs with corn and Mac n cheese. All were great. Meat did fall off the bones. The Mac and cheese was awesome. The corn was tasty but oily. The corn bread is good too. As good as it was I can't come often to drop $30 for a combo rib plate all the time. It was a nice treat for me that night though.

Overrated. Basic mac n cheese, oversmoked brisket mismatched w mexican inspired taco additions. Tired queso dip. overall VERY overpriced. Sadly the free cornbread was the highlight.

Great restaurant in not the best neighborhood. The service was excellent from the time we walked in the door. We had a large group of 11, and we were seated within 5 minutes despite the fact they were moderately busy on a Saturday afternoon. Everyone enjoyed thier food and there was quite an offering on the menu. I personally had the pulled pork sandwich which is my favorite menu item here.

Can't say anything bad about this place. Huge parking lot, they have a lot of tables both inside and outside. Their service was fantastic, we were immediately greeted and our server was very very polite, taking her time to explain the menu and the drinks. They gave us corn bread for a starter and that was yummy. Then we ordered burgers and those were very very delicious! When we were done they provided us with complimentary donuts

From the moment you enter through the door you are greeted my the amazing cheerful staff. As you find your seat, you are relaxed by the amazing rustic, comfortable, urban decor. Then when it comes to the food and speciality drinks, there is nothing that is not absolutely amazing. Personally, I recommend the plater so that you will have the opportunity to try a few of the many delicious meats that they have to offer. Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I highly recommend making this a go to spot if you are in the area. I cannot wait to return again.

Mother's Day. The wait wasn't bad. They were very busy but had us seated within 20 mins. Mother had the half order St. Louis style ribs, baked potato and roasted veggies. The ribs were ordinary, the roasted veggies we're way over sized. The loaded baked potato was perfect. I had the brisket, Mac and cheese with shoestring potatoes. Good flavor, perfect burnt ends. Still the Mac and cheese was the best thing on the plate. Hubby had the 12oz top sirloin, Mac and cheese with shoestring potatoes. Not much flavor on the steak, stringy and only fixed by steak sauce, not worth the price, and the shoestring potatoes were over cooked. Our server was awesome, I'm sorry I didn't get him name but it was so loud, very loud I could barely hear him. Overall, ordinary BBQ at extraordinary high prices. Not worth a second trip.

Delicious, as usual. I've never had a bad dish here. The mac & cheese and the corn bread are to die for (not to mention all of the meats!) Reservations are a smart idea, especially on weekends. It can be a long wait if you don't, but still worth it!

Absolutely amazing. Haven't been to a BBQ joint since moving from Texas 4 months ago, so I was craving some,this place did not disappoint. First off,expect a wait if you come during a busy period. It's Sunday night we waited 30 minutes for a table. The food is amazing and the portions are ginormous!!! I ended up splitting my two rib combo plate in two,and I only ate one huge beef rib and was full. The kids meal portions are great too. My 2 kids split one ribs plate. They don't eat much so i knew neither of them would finish 4 ribs. I didn't try the cocktails but they look amazing. The ambience is good reminded me of salt grass. Our server was fantastic.Overall great place for a family dinner. We'll def be back.

Always love it here, whether having the pulled pork, brisket, ribs, or even just a huge salad. This is the best barbequed meat I have had anywhere...and always consistent. They have a nice selection of craft beers, wine and a full bar. Great services, sometimes noisy, but it is way nicer than most BBQ places you visit. The smoked whole turkeys are fantastic at the holidays too!

Unbelievably the best bbq that I have ever eaten in my life. There's not a question, but bobby is the best ever. Ribs, Ribs Ribs Ribs! Slowly cooked with so much flavor, and I would eat this everyday if It wasn't 15 minutes away. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for some homemade wonderful BBQ.

The food, service and atmosphere are awesome! This place is a gem in the heart of the city. The only knock is it's pretty expensive. The least expensive dinner plate (non sandwich) on the menu is $20. That seems a little much for a BBQ joint, no matter how nice it is. If price were not an issue, I'd be there several times a month.

This is more than just a bar at night. This restaurant serves some great BBQ but also has excellent steaks. The sirloin was great and the mac and cheese is also addicting. Cornbread is served to the table and is also great. The atmosphere is lively and casual and the outside area is like an oasis in the desert.

Our initial experience was a little rough in the beginning, but by the time we left there we were very impressed with the food, which by the way is absolutely amazingly delicious, and management did a good job at taking care of the situation. You can't go wrong with Bobby Q. Happy hour includes 48oz pitchers for $8 along with a great selection of food at a reduced price. I highly recommend trying out the Big Blue Van beer, it's freaking delicious. I almost want to bathe in their mac and cheese sauce because I tingle all over my body when it hits my mouth - absolutely the best mac and cheese, ever. The pulled pork and sliced brisket is their 'best of the menu' items and they will not let you down. Now, imagine having some of the best bbq and side orders you can put on your palette but then add their 'melt in your mouth' cinnamon doughnuts that they simply give as a complimentary, after you ask for your check. My husband is from Kansas City so BBQ is dear to his heart. We went to a place that claimed to serve KC BBQ with low expectations and were still disappointed. After recovering from that disaster, we decided to give BBQ in Arizona another try at Bobby Q’s. So much better. It’s not Kansas City style but it was delicious. All the meat was tender and flavorful. I got the mac and cheese and was not a fan but everything else was great. Service was just like we like it. Attentive, without asking if we are doing okay 1000 times... Looking forward to our next visit to branch out and experience a little more

Live on the other side of town, was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in for take-out for Football Sunday. What a great decision. Was Greeted by Ashley, who could not have been more friendly. Wings, 3 meat combo, even a few buns.. Got me all setup, start to finish took less than 25 min!!. Wish you were closer, buy I guarantee I will be back soon. I am a Texan. I know my BBQ. I travel all over for work and this place ranks in my top 5 bbq spots. The flavor is all the way through the meat. The selection of sauces is great. I got one that I wanted to freeze it in the winter so I could ice skate on it then in the spring I would drink it as it thaws. At the end of the meal we got free mini donuts. I just thought I was stuffed but suddenly found room for those little pieces of Heaven. The waiter was great and laughed at our Fried Green Tomatoes joke about why the sauce was so good. Every time I go to Phoenix now this place will be on my list of places to eat.

You can see it from the I-17 But it's a little tricky to get to because you actually have to maneuver some side streets to get there. Trust me it is well worth the effort! The staff is friendly and efficient and the food is beyond wonderful! There is something for EVERYONE! MAKE SURE TO TAKE HOME SOME OF THEIR SIGNATURE SAUCE! Yummy!!!!

Great, fresh food with the option to eat on the patio during happy hour. We enjoyed the $5 pitcher of beer and $6 sangria with complimentary cornbread. I had the 2 meat combo with pulled pork and sausage while he ate the brisket and pulled pork. The meats were tender and moist. The beans, mashed potatoes and potato salad were delicious. Definitely worth a try. The combos were 26 and change a piece but well worth it.

Fast service! Delicious food! Comfortable environment. The brisket rolls are incredible! Those could be a meal all by themselves. Rib meat was so tender and flavorful. Only reason why I don't give 5 stars is because I thought the prices were a little on the high side. The food and service were great. If the prices were about 10-15% lower, this would be a more frequent stop for me. Where they are, it's a special occasion destination.

My mom makes the best brisket so I usually don't even bother.... Well, different style than mom's, but delicious! The ribs were fall off the bone and perfectly smoked. All the sides were great too. Free cornbread when we sat done and free donuts to go! The waiter was super friendly. Great time and great food! Highly recommended!

First time back in a couple of years. No issues, just so many options. It's still great. The BBQ pork was seasoned properly, but we do have different definitions of NC style BBQ. Not better, not worse, just different. Stole a bite of a friends brisket ... that is certainly worth getting killed on the I-17.

Good BBQ is never cheap, but Bobby-Q has incredibly reasonable prices for fantastic food. The low lit, smokehouse styled decor is a delight and the early evening crowd was minimal - we expected noisy, but got a comfortable, quiet atmosphere. The Q-Rolls, brisket in deep fried tortilla wraps, were a fantastic appetizer and were even better dipped in the BBQ sauce. The ribs literally fell apart trying to eat them and were a real delight, and the smokehouse burger (while far too much for me to finish) was the sort of BBQ burger you see on the photos but rarely actually get. Crunchy onions and mixture of sauces made for a sandwich difficult to tame but highly enjoyable. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing and seemed to have a talent for showing up when she was most wanted and least interruptive. All in all, fantastic place for a late lunch or filling dinner.

waited an hour to be seated, would’ve left but family wanted to eat here. not enough seats to seat the people standing. and i was holding a sleeping baby. saw groups of people going in before the rest of the people waiting. i then asked the hostess why they got to go first and they ignored me then later replied “they probably have reservations”. not making any eye contact with me. finally got seated but felt like we were forgotten by our waiter. had to flag down other waiters to tell our waiter we needed refills or they forgot some of our food. it was a weeknight so wouldn’t expect service like this. first and last time. but the food was amazing!

Tried Bobby Q’s for the first time today and it didn’t disappoint! Food is delicious, I especially could not get over how good the sides were. The Mac and cheese and shoe string fries were a favorite with us. And the service was great. Jordan was our server and deserves the biggest shoutout, he was so patient with our little 18 month old girl and helped us pick out some favorites from the menu. We ended up meeting the GM, Jack I think, and he was also so kind and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal and evening. Thanks BobbyQs! Honestly the food was so good, but the attentive service was the icing on the cake!

Had the giant Texas beef ribs with Mac and cheese and baked potato. Came with four ribs lightly covered in BBQ sauce. It was soft and very good. I've had bigger elsewhere, but taste more than makes up for it. Baked potato was slightly overcooked or had been sitting on a hot plate for a bit too long. The skin on the bottom was hard. The Mac and cheese was very good. Went really well with the baked potato as well as the ribs. Service was great as well, and I prefer it when people are more energetic. Steaks are on the pricier side, but will have to try that another time.

This place is a little out of the ordinary in terms of location and visibility, but it is absolutely worth the search. The atmosphere is old school southern BBQ house, and so is the food. We had the brisket and pulled pork, and it was the best smoked meat I've ever had in my life (and I'm 60). The service was great too. Friendly and on top of everything we needed the whole time. Will definitely be coming back every time we come to Phoenix!

Food was great - 5 stars for the food. Staff, though - did what they had to do, nothing more - didn't go out of their way to make it a 5 star experience. Asked 2 different people for sour cream, by the time we got it we didn't need it anymore. Asked to buy a t-shirt when we were on our way out - had to wait for someone to go get them, then had to go to the bar to wait for bartender to ring it up - ended up being $27 and change for a t-shirt. While we waited we inquired about the donuts and were told everyone gets donuts when they first arrive, we were like oh, we didn't know that, then had to ask if we could have some now. You would've thought they'd offer. Will return because the food was that good.

Bobby Q is a great restaurant located just off the I-17. We went there on a recommendation from a friend. It's located in an old Bobby Magee's restaurant and they've left some of the old touches. The inside is newly renovated and provides a great middle class steakhouse atmosphere. My wife and I decided to split the Whole Hog Heaven. I was worried it may not be enough (I'm a big meat eater). I didn't need to worry. The piles of meats on the platter thet brought to the table immediately put my anxiety at ease. The rib meat fell off the bone. The brisket was perfectly tender. The pulled pork was tender and perfectly spiced. Overall an amazing experience. We will be back!

It had been a long time since we went here and decided to go. FOOD: OUTSTANDING, BODACIOUS, MUEY RICO, DELICIOSO. and just the bet ribs in Phoenix outside my kitchen. We both had the baby back ribs and as usual they we're cooked to perfection with great flavor. Get the full rack and bring 1/2 of them home for later. SUPER warmed up. You will never go wrong eating any dish at Bobby Q's at this location which is the only one we want to go to.

The meat is delicious tender and wonderfully smoked. Fried zucchini is thinly sliced and has great flavor. BBQ sauces are ok...could use a little more heat in the spicy one. Regular one is a little sweet. Mac N Cheese...wow! Pretty rich and could not finish it. Didn't order an entree (just a sandwich), but was pretty full.

We ate here the other night and had Mitch as our waiter. He is AWESOME!!... Our table had a pretty big "wobble" to it. We let Mitch know. He pulled out a small wedge from his pocket and using his small flashlight, he crawled under the table to make it right!... NO wobble now! The food here is also TOP NOTCH! We'll be back!!

Great selection and very good food. I got the beef and baby back ribs. They were among the best baby back ribs I've had (certainly the best from a restaurant), beef ribs were quite good as well. Free cornbread to start and ree mini donuts to end is an excellent idea (both are cheap for them to make, but really make the overall experience great).

Bobby Q's has some of the best barbecue in the state. The restaurant is always kept very clean and my experiences with the employees have always been positive. They keep ice in the urinals which is a nice touch. Their cornbread in my opinion is the best free table food in the restaurant business. Can't wait to go back!

I’ll be returning here for sure! The plates are “pricy” but once you receive your plate, you realize its enough to feed a village. Price justified. Also, make sure you start with the “Q-Rolls”, they are a game changer. The complimentary donuts are great! Just be careful as they are fried in peanut oil.

This was my first visit to this spot. As a southern native I love to try BBQ all over the place. The food was great. Their house sause is really good as well as the baby back ribs. My partner and I shared a "whole hog" plate and had enough left over for a 3rd meal. While the food and service were both really good, and I even enjoyed the atmosphere a lot, I rated this 4 stars because it's slightly over priced in my opinion.

As far as BBQ places and steak joints go, this place was decent. And while nothing was wrong with the food, I think I expected to be blown away by their dishes based on other reviews I've read and heard. For that reason, my opinion is admittedly biased. I enjoyed my sirloin, which had a good flavor and was cooked to my liking. I also tried the brisket, which wasn't as flavorful, but was infinitely improved using their selection of BBQ sauces (definitely try the spicy!). Our group was a bachelor party of 23 guys and since we all ordered meats, we knew to expect a decent wait for the feast. Nonetheless, our two servers were cordial, patient, and very attentive, which we greatly appreciated. My main issue with our experience involves how the bill was handled. Our reservation was made well in advance and included a request for separate checks, which we were told would be done. We also called the day before, to confirm both the reservation and our request for separate checks. Again, we were told that splitting the bill amongst a group of 23 could and would be done. When our bill finally came, our server asked if we wanted one bill and we said that we had already requested it be split. He returned with the manager, whose response was empathetic and apologetic while explaining that if we opted for separate checks instead of one bill, we would have to wait 50 minutes. I understand that separating the bill for a large party is complex, and I appreciate how quick the manager was in recognizing our conundrum. My gripe is that during our prior conversations we were not told to allot extra time for bill processing. It's also irksome that our servers appeared confused/surprised when we mentioned bill separation, despite explicitly telling us not to move seats when we were ordering, in order to accommodate a split. The best man put the entire bill on his card because we had a tight schedule and waiting 50 minutes meant losing our reservation at the next location. Our meal and overall night were in no way ruined by this hiccup, and I'd still wholeheartedly recommend eating here; my lengthy review and subsequent advice are probably best heeded by large groups looking for places to dine.

I friend recommended a brewery near here and suffice it to say, the brewery was a bad choice. I found this gem thanks to google maps and it blew me away. If you want to have unbelievable bbq you need to get to this place ASAP. It never disappoints. The corn bread is amazing. I always get the baby back ribs and brisket. It is not cheap so expect to spend about 25-30 a plate but it is totally worth it. Don’t order dessert because they give you mini donuts at the end. Yum!

We informed him that it was it first time there and he provided is with a little history if the restaurant along with some potential menu suggestions. Most people believe barbecues religious, I would have to agree. This first time I've been to Bobby-Qs, And I am thoroughly impressed. Austin was our server, and he was very attentive very friendly and the food came out but all the extra fixings. When I asked for moist brisket, he knew exactly what I was talking about and it came out on a platter that was amazing. It was tender and juicy, could cut it up with a fork. We will come here again, and we will ask for Austin as he did an amazing job.

I recently ordered ribs, pulled pork and cole slaw for a family get together. I picked it up from the Phoenix location after placing the order the day before. The order was ready on time and it was just as ordered... nothing missed. My family was thrilled! The food was delicious. The ribs were falling off the bone, the pork very tender and juicy. We really liked the pecan cole slaw (they do give you the pecans on the side)... it's fresh, crisp and not drowning in mayonnaise. I highly recommend Bobby Q, but be prepared to pay a premium for their very tasty food.

Had to ask for BBQ sauce 2 times. Food came out with just a splash of sauce. Asked for more. Table of 5 and we got about half a cup. Had another server being us more. Still not enough but at that point why ask again? For the price of my meal I expect to have enough bbq sauce.
