Great sandwich place! I ordered the Reuben and was not disappointed. Effort is focused into the food rather than the flash and flair of the place, but I care about what my food tastes like when I go out to eat, not the decoration on the walls. Staff was very polite and friendly. Definitely will be going back!
So tastey! The parking lot is a pain during the lunch rush though. Still worth the trip though.
I am glad that this former Quiznos location has a new lease on life... although I miss Quiznos a little, Mo's is a fantastic replacement that I will go back to for a great Reuben. And I will happily look to explore the rest of their menu as well!
So fresh, and quality is tops. DELICIOUS food which is kinda important. Super friendly folks, and the place is CLEAN , too. Glad Mo’s opened here in ANC, and I hope people find out about it!
Moe's need to put more meat on their sandwiches
2 beef brisket sands, 1 potato chip, 1 root beer, plus 20% tip...$30+.... to steep for my blood to go back. Fat guy wasn't very welcoming either.
Horrible, overpriced. I figured I would play it safe and get a Turkey sandwich. Never again. I should of made my own dam sandwich
This is a great deli. They have very high quality meats and breads and it is very clean and well kept. They even have good gluten-free bread. The staff and owner are also very friendly.
Great pastrami closest thing we have in Anchorage to a real New York deli sandwich. So good!!!
Amazing smoked brisket sandwich. Homemade pickles were delicious.
Got the corned beef Rachael sandwich. Simply delicious!
This hole in the wall Jewish deli should not be missed. If you're missing fluffy on the inside, crisp outside, New York style bagels, this place is for you. The bagels are perfect, the cream cheese is fatty and generous, and the topics are heaping. This is a good bagel place. Deli and soup options are also solid, and service is quick. If you like this style of food, it's a must visit.
Excellent service and food. Kids eat free on Sundays... can't ask for more. Clean and tidy. We will definitely eat here more.
Very nice staff and good sandwich.
Good food
Fast friendly service with a sense of humor. Our lunch was brought to the table. Delicious food. Can recommend.
I was pretty damn impressed with this place. Amazing pastrami, every sandwich is very customizable. No skimping on ingredients. Sandwiches come with a true deli pickle that is very crisp. I put this up with MVP deli. MVP is better for hot sandwiches, this place is better for a true cold cut sandwich. They also do breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Apparently they cater as well.
Favorite sandwich shop on the South side. Ita just down the hill feom my school, very supportive of the programs in my school, and has pastrami to die for.
Excellent food and service. Finally, a Subway killer!
Best pastrami I have ever had. Fantastic kosher deli.
Good food, had biscuit an deli gravy,an bowl of beef barley,
Super delicious and fresh, hole in the wall deli shop. It has a nice variety of choices (veggie ones and even a pickled tongue sandwich for the adventurous). The staff were friendly and it wasn’t super crowded. Kid friendly too!
I just went to mos deli Very bad!!! Don’t go there My sandwich was aweful!!!!! I ordered the mos deli sandwich So for $15 I get a sandwich that I think was supposed to be a couple different kinds of meat. I’m not sure what the meat was but not what I asked for!! The best part of my trip was the brownie I can tell you I will never go there again Absolutely the worst sandwich I have ever had!!!! If you want a decent sandwich ...,. At least you know what to expect from subway
Had a hot pastrami sandwich. Very tasty. Glad we found the place.
Delicious Deli Delights! This is the place to go for unique sandwiches and awesome customer service!
This place has the most amazing sandwich’s!! It is a true delicatessen, one of our favorites in Anchorage and is reminiscent of our favorite deli in Las Vegas.
We tried their catering, The Salad was decent at best. The cheese on their sandwiches was akin to Kraft single slices. The small sandwiches fell apart for each of our guests sub par quality meat and bread.
‘Mo’s Deli Dip’ is delicious. Wonderful customer service. Will definitely be back soon!
The Ruben here is in a class of its own, I would recommend the 9oz.
The Turkey Pastrami on Sourdough was amazing! Absolutely coming back for more.
Haven't actually eaten there so can't rate the food(which I hear is good), but the service is a bit disappointing. I called to ask if they were handicapped accessible. I was hoping to take a family member who is in a wheelchair out on a much needed outing and was told that "we are so busy so it's standing room only" and they couldn't guarantee a seat (I took offense to that because my family member can't stand). So I then thought I'd pickup a sandwich for my elderly handicapped family member. I called and was told somewhat abruptly that they weren't taking pickup orders. This was after I personally walked in earlier that morning to confirm that I could order online. I hope the publicity and success won't go their heads because without good customer service, their success may be short-lived.
This place is amazing. In an old Quiznos but serving up proper Jewish deli treats.
Delicious!
Great food and good service. Try something you have never had before. I'll bet you love it.
Holy heck am I allowed to be this happy!?! They have gluten free options and their corn beef was delicious!!!! This place is a blessing I will be here as regularly as possible!
The beef barley soup was delicious, tasted like home made. Reuben sandwich was really good, very thinly sliced pastrami with a pickle spear.
Legit pastrami!! Do yourself a favor and eat it the traditional way with just the mustard.
Great food, clean environment, friendly team. I definitely will be coming here more often.
Ok this is now my go to place for cold and hot sandwiches
It was our 1st time there and the sandwiches are delicious will definitely go back
Really liked my pastrami sandwich on toasted rye. Will be back soon to try out the bagels!
I've been here a few times and I've always wanted an excellent sandwich shop for South Anchorage, and this is it. I could eat The Rachel everyday. The Dr. Brown sodas and garlic pickles are an excellent addition.
Thank you for bringing quality deli to Anchorage! The pastrami is solid and the blintzes, latkes, and chopped liver are all on point. Really friendly and quick service. We’ll definitely be back.
Closet deli to KatzDeli back in New York!! Love it
Finally a good deli! Lox and bagel was amazing, ordered the Ruben to go and was sold. Keep it up!
The hunt is over, I've officially found the best Reuben in Alaska! I initially didn't have much interest in this place because of my roommate. He said he ordered a turkey sandwich and that's all they gave him. Turkey between to pieces of bread, no toppings or sauce. I can imagine him asking for just a turkey sandwich but it's weird that the person taking the order wouldn't think to ask if he wanted anything on it. There's a condiment bar off to the side so maybe that was implied? Regardless, they still get a 5 star from me. I have every intention of working my way down the menu but their Reuben is something special, I highly recommend checking them out!
Delicious Jewish deli...great matzoh ball soup. Really nice owner and staff.
Great food and service.
Amazing deli serving kosher options for all tastes. Pastrami was awesome. Lox and cream cheese was just like NYC if not a little better. Worth a visit or a revisit if you are near. They offer catering as well if you you are looking. Options go beyond the deli counter which is pretty awesome.
Great meat,
Taste something different today and stop by Mo's Deli and Catering. I ordered Mo’s Bagel and Lox ($12.75) with a drink and chips. Don't let the prices dissuade your decision to eat here. These are not tiny bagels, so you'll get plenty of meat and veggies. I was full after eating one half of my meal. Refill soda drinks during your visit. There is a small bar next to the glass for those of you that like extra sunshine. Plenty of smaller tables for parties of 4. I was here at noon on Saturday and I saw two employees, so maybe it was a shift change. Employees are polite and they quickly complete your order.
Maybe I caught them on a bad day (I visted two days after a newspaper article), but the experience was unimpressive. At least when I visted, the number one struggle they were having was the wait. A causal dining place should not have a constant 40 minute wait. The menu was not that diverse to warrant that kind of wait. I think they have a good thing going but really need to work on thier prep system. Maybe apply some sort of McDonalds system of food prep to move things along? I want this business to be successful but they need to focus on smarter ways to deliver the product efficiently.
Authentic deli food and great portions
I was so excited to try Mo’s but was sadly disappointed. They don’t have Matzo Ball soup, you have to get chicken noodle soup and pay extra to have matzo balls added. Pretty disappointing considering this is a Jewish deli. I did try the soup... the matzo balls were prepackaged and poured right out of a giant bag and the carrots were hard as a rock. Hopefully this place gets better with time.
Friendly, prices a wee bit high, but would recommend this deli.
Pricey and not impressed with how my pastrami turned out. Latkes were not good. Just so so..
Saw the story about them in the paper so had to come try for ourselves. The guys were swamped, but it was worth the wait! Everything is made from scratch in house and did not disappoint. Try the cheese blintzes!
This place has the very best pastrami sandwich in the whole state of Alaska. If they only had celery soda then it would be perfect. The meat is perfect. I can not buy meat this good to make my own anywhere else. I am now addicted to this deli. They also have pickled tongue that i have not tried yet since i have found the best pastrami in Anchorage. I love finding gold mine 5 star places to eat like this.
Excellent breakfest and lunch food, superb staff, will be back for more!
The sandwiches were great!
First and foremost, I hate pickles... But I love the garlic pickle from Mos, it tastes like a fresh cucumber with a hint of garlic. My corned beef on sourdough, with deli mustard was a mountain of meat. I did pay the additional charge for the 9ounces of meat. The chicken noodle soup could use a little more salt but was delicious as well. I even had my fisrst Matzo ball, was delicious too.
Thank you for making Mom's 87th birthday wonderful.. everyone complimented how wonderful the food was.. great service.. on time delivery.. highly recommend..
