Not quite as good as in the past, but was overall still good. The desserts were not good tho. Peach cobbler looked bad, watery, and undercooked. Others just not good. Main courses were great and most sides good to great tho. Fried catfish still amazingly good for all you can eat

We had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for awhile, well we were gravely disappointed. Location and outside appeal are great, but once inside that changed. There seemed to be a major lack of management tonight as the younger employees were all huddled up in the back room gossiping and not working when we walked in. With it being our first time here we didn’t exactly know what the process was and as we waited to be seated since there was a sign that said just that. Then finally after making eye contact with the employees one finally said seat yourselves. Well as I explained this is our first time here she then explained we can check out the Buffett and if we don’t like what’s there we can help ourselves to a menu. She then went back to her conversations. We checked out the Buffett, it is your typical southern Buffett nothing special but we decided we would try it. So we make our plates and seat ourselves. Then we are trying to figure out how we get a drink, took the waitress over 5 minutes to realize we were there and needed drinks! The place wasn’t that busy. So we finally got our drinks, the food was mediocre at best and you could tell most of it wasn’t fresh unfortunately, maybe we should’ve ordered from the menu instead. So they we never receive a ticket so we walk up to counter to pay and she asks us for our ticket she can’t find it or anything, waitress never put it in. So finally she comes puts in our food and drinks and let me tell you when she said $20 I was shocked, not for that service and food. Probably won’t go back and definitely don’t recommend.

Food is good, But Steam bar isn't hot enough. Last visit beans were Bearly warm, mac & cheese was cold, 3 items were empty. Bread, Both desert pans, and Dressing pans were all empty. I asked the lady bringing the items out how long it would be for the dressing would be ready and I got a smash remarked (in a little bit). When she brought it out and put it on the bar, she took the empty pan an raked the dryer crusty remains from the empty Pam and piled it on to the new pan and stirred it in.

Customers won't give servers space too put food on bar , they have too stayed back , until they get a chance too put food out ... Looked @ the customers plate piled high .

My husband and I visited MIldred's this past Friday night and weren't disappointed. In fact, we are coming back this Thursday and bringing our parents. The staff was very helpful. The food/buffet was hot and fresh. The fried chicken and catfish battled for top billing on my husband's plate to the tune of A LOT. The greens, brown beans and other vegs were awesome. The cookie cake was delicious......very moist. Great Place to visit.

Southern cooking at its finest in buffet style or special order. Whether you love fried chicken or fried catfish or any other southern favorite, you can get it here at a reasonable price. The staff is very courteous and do well keeping up even while busy. If you haven't visited here, then you should plan to do so. You won't be disappointed.

Had a steak, .medium. baked potato and rice. Steak and potato were great. Rice was literally room temp. Hot food should be served hot. Asked for hot rice. Server told me that she would put it in the warmer for me because they don't have a microwave. Grateful for her honesty, however, I didn't want the same cold rice heated up. Food temp is important. Can't imagine I will be making the drive back to Mildred's. Too bad, because I wanted to like this restaurant. As we were leaving I passed by the buffet, which had already had all pans removed. The water in the hot wells was disgusting. I mean, not one days worth of gunk, but gunk built up over days, weeks,months. Those wells need to be cleaned daily. Yikes!! Eat there at your own risk. Sorry to be so brutal. But it is what it is.

The outside of the building doesn't look like much and you may hesitate to try this place out but the food there was delicious ! Fried chicken was the best ! Actually every thing was absolutely delicious ! Potatoes several ways,green beans seasoned to perfection, mac n cheese, chicken n dumplings, turnip greens,meat loaf, fish,with all the trimmings and a huge salad bar along with desserts. There was just too much to mention. Everything was seasoned and hot/fresh ! Definitely worth a trip if you dont live in the area. It's like sunday lunch after church..umm..yummy ! I highly recommend this place.

The food is really good. The vegetables taste like straight out of a garden specially tomatoes and cucumbers. The peach cobbler taste like my peach cobbler from scratch, the dough on top is made by them still good. Watermelon very good. I could say more but you just need to go and check it out.

Yesterday my parents and I ate at Mildred's and we were VERY disappointed. The Seafood Buffet is on Friday AND Saturday nights, however I am not sure how Mildred's can justify charging someone for a "Seafood Buffet" when you only have Catfish on the Buffet and that is the ONLY thing other than hush-puppies that remotely could be classified as "Seafood." There was NO Shrimp, Scallops, or any other type of Fish or Seafood on the Buffet. In addition, the Ice Cream Machine was not working. Even the desserts were not good. This by far was the worse food selection on ANY buffet I have seen. I will not be going back there any time soon.

My favorite place to eat in this entire area! The service is wonderful and the food is even better! BBQ ribs and pork chops that melt in your mouth, tender, flaky catfish, amazing cornbread to name a few. Fried chicken is wonderful, delicious country sides done to perfection. My personal piece of Nirvana is the banana pudding (this is the real deal!). Exceptional! If you haven't tried Mildred's, you are missing out!! Highly recommend!!

Went in for lunch on a Saturday, the brussel sprouts were mush, the potatoes were really runny and the pulled pork sat in so much grease it was horrible. Seems every time a Mildred's is bought they eventually go down hill and out of business.

My wife's parents told us about this place and on a whim we decided to go and check it out. I honestly have to agree with what they said this is some of the best fried chicken I've had in quite some time. You will definitely get your fill of food here, the atmosphere is outstanding and the wait staff and even customers are all super friendly. If you're out in the Ardmore area I strongly recommend stopping in and checking out Mildred's!

Don't get there late in the day or the food bar may be lacking. They don't replenish the on line desert trays often. Usually a cobbler or banana pudding. If the trays were smaller, they wouldn't be so messy halfway through because patrons muck it up. Just replace more often. The salad bar is mediocre. The food is good, not overly salted but not that diverse. The staff is always friendly. Clean. Recommended.

Didn't live up to the hype. I went to Mildred's for the first time and I was underwhelmed. Don't misunderstand, the food was pretty good and our waitress was nice. But when a restaurant advertises that they are "one of the top 20 buffets in America" then they set a very high bar for themselves.... And for me the experience fell short. I ate there for lunch on a weekday. The tables were a little too close together. When I reached to pull out my chair the back of the chair broke off... When it comes to the food, the veggies and sides we're delicious. My chicken and dumplings we're good. But my mom's chicken breast and my grandmother's meatloaf was dry. The ice cream was delicious! For me the best parts were the sides and the ice cream.

Fried chicken the most like my Momma's I've ever had. My Momma is a great cook and their fried chicken is just like hers. Banana pudding is outstanding too. Everything I tried was very good. I live 60 or 70 miles away but I'll go back. Thanks Mildred's.

They did try to be nice and asked several times if we needed anything. But it was a good price for a buffet and the food was decent just nothing special. It was late in the day so they may have been short staffed.

This place is GREAT! I brought two of my young friends here for dinner on a Fri. night at about 6:30. There was a little bit of a wait, but it was well worth it! My waitress, Marina, was an absolute gem. I came right in the middle of lunch rush, and she didn't skip a beat. Sweet and attentive southern hospitality at it's finest. Food was typical southern buffet fare, no complaints. The fried green tomatoes and the rotisserie chicken and egg salad were the highlights for me. Sad that I live a million miles away, but if I ever find myself down this way again, I'll definitely stop by.

Must travel a few miles off I-65, exit #1, through Ardmore to locate them. We drove some 70 miles each way from Franklin, TN @ I-65, mile marker 65 to exit 1 to eat here. Worth the trip ! I have been here MANY times, but will NOT be back! The food is good. The servers are friendly. Sadly, the management stinks. My hubby and I went to Mildred's for dinner tonight. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted. The air in the main dining room was out (again), so we headed to the new section (where the air usually works). We were told that section was closed, so we left to go eat at Cassie's (where the air conditioning works). I called to talk to the manager. I told him what happened, and he said, "It is a maintenance issue that we have been dealing with for a while." I asked why the ONLY section with air conditioning was closed, and he said, "Well, if you don't want to eat here, that's fine " I will NOT be back. The food is good, but not good enough to sit in the heat....or be verbally mistreated by the manager.

Since under new ownership and management. Staffing has been minimal. Even though the waiter staff has been short, they have been friendly. When mildred owned this facility, the bar was always piping hot, plentiful, no matter when you happened to stop by. We visit less frequently because food quality and selection is not the same.

This an outstanding country cookin buffet. On Sundays it's only buffet and they had fried chicken, meatloaf, ham, pintos, corn, green beans, Mac n cheese, dressing, cornbread, rolls, banana puddin, peach, blackberry cobbler, German chocolate cake, salad bar, cornbread dressing, broccoli casserole, soft serve ice cream. We didn't get to see their menu. They have beautiful rocking chairs on the porch if u have to wait or if u can get to your car cause you're so full. We will be back. It was very good food.
