I ate a pork plate with slaw and fries. The food was served hot and the BBQ was delicious. I really liked the slaw made with vinager. The seating was tight and it was very hot in the room. The staff were very nice and helpful.

This location did not have sliced meat. Seems wrong to not server sliced meats when it's a BBQ joint. Will not return, but good thing i got to stare at all the #BAMA memorable hung throughout the storefront. There were some cool autographs, but the food was sub-par.

Had the regular barbeque sandwich (pork) with fries and a small drink. $11.41. The sandwich was out of this world! The meat was packed on so thick that it didn't start falling off until I was half way through the sandwich! The fries were those thick cut steak fries. Perfect and piping hot. They were just cooked! Although it was pricey for a sandwich, it was well worth it. This dive needs to be on the food network show with Guy if it hasn't been already.

1st and last time. Lousy at best. Expensive. $32 for 2 basic plates and drinks. Can baked beans. Mac and cheese was all mac. BBQ left much to be desired. Limited menu. No BBQ potato.

Seeing black folks and patrons in civil attire, speaking respectfully to everyone was the icing on the cake. I'd give 6*, if I could!

Was craving ribs so we went to Full Moon for lunch. Place was crowded, but we were lucky enough to find a table, so yay. I saw they had a new riblet plate, so I decided to try it. No regrets. Meat is very flavorful, riblets were a good size, not the tiny ones you get some places. Fries were good. All around a good experience.

Great food! The pulled chicken sandwich with White Sauce is so good. Their sauce has a bit of a black pepper kick. Their Half Moon cookies have just the right chewy texture and the chocolate is so smooth. They were super friendly at the drive through, too.

This is probably my favorite barbecue restaurant in Birmingham. My go-to is the pulled pork barbecue sandwich with some fries but sometimes I mix it up and get the brisket or get like the chicken also. They've got plenty of sides to choose from but again you can't go wrong with the sandwich and fries. I would definitely suggest anyone that goes to Alabama or Birmingham specifically to make sure they stop by full moon. My daughter and son loved it thanks.

The barbecue ribs are perfect the barbecue pork sandwich seems have a lot of fat in it. There is at least one female working on the inside as a cashier has a nasty disposition so I use the drive-thru. Then one day I was trying to figure out what was up with a nasty attitude my cab driver said she got a nasty attitude everybody notice female I guess you the head person under the manager the manager is nothing nice either he got that smile on his face but it is not for us. So I called corporate office they don't care anything about blacks and correcting the situation and when you ask for Center cut they almost always give you large in I want center cut I don't want meat that is burnt to a crisp on a small in either. Open what you ordered before you leave the drive thru or when you order on the inside. So I decided that I would go online and see what the benefits for if I was an employee and what I read was straight out of slavery all they are giving is flex time because some of my students at minimum wage with no don't know medical and they sit there and they smell that smoke for the entire duration of the last year no joke somebody need to report them as much money as full moon make you see those big rigs they don't even offer employees health benefits wow unbelievable and they stand there all day doing that shift 5 and 6 days a week smelling smoke it's awful. Again the ribs are fabulous and lousy help on the inside need an attitude adjustment Big time.

Previously read good reviews about this place. Traveled from Atlanta and the food was sub par at best. Sides tasted as if they were out of a can and the meat was cold. The meat was also tough. The food tasted as if it was cooked several days prior and heated in the microwave. Will not go back.

So I'll start by saying that I'm from Memphis so by Barbeque bar is high. The food was ok .. if you like spicy relish on your barbecue sandwich.. I don't... the sauce is lightly sweet and thin but I prefer a thicker smoked sauce. The meat was better than most I've had in Birmingham. The atmosphere was good.

THE BEST SAUCE I HAVE EVER TASTED! This was my very first time eating at this restaurant. Let me tell you... You will not be disappointed. The meat was tender and the sauce was sent from the heavens. Over rated expensive bland food minus the bbq. I wont lie the bbq is superb but it stops there. I was so disappointed in tbe cole slaw and mac n cheese. It taste like cafeteria food. This was my first and last time visiting. The woman who took my order at the drive thru was very unfriendly. Never again.

Tiny location with big taste. It's easy to miss the drive through which is on 5th Ave, just to the right of the building. Parking extends out behind the building, but if you get there at a rush, you may find yourself waiting elbow to elbow. Despite all the space complaints, the food is worth it all.

Full Moon, you guys make Jim N Nicks look like some kids playing with their daddy's grill without permission. Top marks, got my to go order in just a couple of minutes, sweet tea was just right, and didn't even have to ask for the barbecue sauce, it was already in the bag. Thank you, this is what service should be like. Also didn't hurt that it was absolutely delicious.

One of a few locations around the area. The place was busy and small but felt like a local staple with people coming in for lunch. The bbq was good and a southern style of sauce. Took about 5min to place an order and another 10 or so to pickup the order. The family enjoyed it and would go again if we're in the area.

Bought bbq pork sandwiches got home had bbq shopped fat sandwiches.I live about 8 miles from southside location when i called back to tell them i was told to bring sandwiches back and they would check them.The lady i talk to was very rude told me to either bring them back that was store policy and hung up in my face.I will never go to a full moon bbq restaurant again anywhere or recommended them.I'd drive to Bob Sykes in Bessemer 30 min drive with great bbq before i go to full moon bbq again.

Great BBQ! Make sure that you like chow-chow (a type of relish). They automatically put it on your BBQ, but it was pretty good to me. They didn't have any baked potatoes at this location in order to make a BBQ baked potato,

Customer service was below par. The attendant was not very helpful, or friendly, and rushed us to order when there was nobody else in line. It made us feel unwelcome. The barbecue was average. The ribs were chewy. The chicken lacked flavor. It needed plenty of their Alabama white sauce to help it out. The pulled pork was good but tasted like it had just been reheated. The baked beans were a little on the sweet side, and tasted like they came out of a can. The Chow Chow servings were very small. A pulled pork sandwich with 1 side, barbecue plate dinner and three fountain drinks was $32. $$.
