I had always been pleased with them in the past. Took my wife's car in recently for a wash and interior cleaning. There was a large scratch on the car when it was returned and the front was still so bug splattered I had to ask if it has been washed yet when I picked it up. I will not be using them again.

Southern Classic Soft Cloth Auto Wash will provide you with a sufficient car wash for a somewhat affordable price. Some points of the service are good while others could use some work, but overall you can expect to drive away with a decently cleaned car. For a much more specific and detailed review of my experience, continue reading... I visited the auto wash on Easter of 2017. I'm a Virginia Tech student who cares very, very much about his car. I am extremely particular about how it is washed, and was limited only to local car wash locations as residential students at Virginia Tech do not have free hose access to wash their cars themselves. I chose Southern Classic Soft Cloth Auto Wash because of its name, hoping that I would be able to receive a thorough, careful wash as "Soft Cloth Auto Wash" implies. Instead, I found it to be a general drive-thru car wash with some soft cloth (microfiber) drying at the end. If you pay for their more expensive packages, you do technically get a soft cloth wash, but just on your windows. When I first pulled up, I was immediately met with service, which I appreciate. The directions for entering the drive-thru portion were a little unclear, but I was in and situated quickly nonetheless. They first go over your car with a powerwashing rinser, then lather it up with soapy microfiber washmits on sticks; I am incredulous as to how well the dirt from the previous customer is removed from the brushes, but I was unable to find any severe scratching in the areas they covered. I felt that the way they went over the car with the wash sticks was a little heavy handed, but, like I said, I didn't see anything severe. This is the second time I've ever gone to an auto wash as I always wash my own car, so believe me when I say that I scanned over every inch of my car after the wash. Off you go through your standard drive-thru machine-wash system. There's no way of assuring if the roller brushes aren't slinging dirt from the day's worth of customers onto your car. My car is a little wider than most, and I was at first worried that my mirrors would get beat up by the frame of the washing system, but they weren't, it was just a little close. When I got to the other end there's four to seven employees who will wipe off the remaining water on your vehicle with microfiber cloths. I again cannot attest to the cleanliness of the cloths; I suppose you just pray that they aren't rubbing hardened dirt all of your paint. As part of my package, the interior was vacuumed and all of my glass was cleaned. Prior to visiting, my floor mats were quite dirty and, as a Virginia Tech student, there isn't really anywhere to go to wash them yourself. Southern Classic's floor mat machine made them absolutely spotless; I was very impressed. The windows were wiped down decently well and there were water spots on the entire lower quarter of my rear window which I had to go back myself and get off. The dashboard was cleaned quite well. My car was vacuumed out pretty well, some spots missed here or there, probably because of the size and shape of the vacuum's head so no complaints. One employee used the liquid for cleaning the glass on the inner sill of my car; after leaving the wash I immediately wiped it down again with a wet microfiber cloth and then with a Meguiar's product meant for exterior cleaning. Window wash is not meant for cars, and you'd think an auto wash would know this. It's very unlikely that the window wash would've caused any real damage to my paint, but I'm not one for taking chances, especially when it comes to my car. All in all, Southern Classic Soft Cloth Auto Wash did the job decently well. I left with a clean exterior, clean tires, clean floor mats, clean glass, and a clean dashboard for $17. Between washing the car myself and returning, I'd probably wash the car myself as I would then be assured of the care being taken with my car. If they offered to let me use their hose to wash my car myself for $10, I would've gone with that instead.

Very poor customer service! First time customer: I took my car through the automatic wash, then spent 1.5 hours washing the outside of my car the next day to get spots they missed, then brought my car back the following day to ask if I could bring it through the automatic wash again because I parked under a tree that dropped a lot of junk on my car (not a usual location for me), but they didn't care. Weren't even willing to discuss it. That's pretty bad customer service if you ask me, and a bad business model. You take care of your customers, and you will have happy customers that want to return. Especially bad since it was my first time going to their wash, and I told them that as well. I get my car washed fairly frequently, so that wasn't very wise on their part. End result - I ended up paying $14 and spending over 1.5 hours of my own time (I'm very busy) to end up with a dirty car! Good customer service would have gone a long way!

Spent over an hr at this place, young man told us they were short handed. Overall car was still dirty and not pleased at all w/ the lack of attention to detail especially for the money spent. The car wash is set up in an unorthodoxed manner, there is no way this can be any less time consuming. You shouldnt have to pull off the lot and then immediately back on to have the detailing completed, ie. vacuum, mats etc.

I was hesitant to go after reading the negative reviews, but the place in Blacksburg was closed for the day, so we went for it. The staff was nice and did a really good job washing and vacuuming our car. It may have helped that we were the only customers there at the time. Regardless, I was pleased with the service.

Worst car wash ever! I was extremely disappointed with the service at the car wash I received today. I usually like to wash my own car or go through a much cheaper car wash but due to a special occasion I though it would be good to upgrade. They did a horrific job. The car was so dirty after they were finished; the windows and especially the grill were filthy . My car has never came out of a car wash so dirty and I never spend this much either. There were a lot of people, they were not rude but very lazy on both sides. Definitely didn't want to put any effort into it. Also did I mention I was easily able to wipe off some if it on my own with a cloth! I highly recommend you go elsewhere or do it yourself. I wish I could go back in time and have my $17 back!

I took my car here because I thought they would do a nicer job then I can. Not so sure. They did a great job shampooing the carpet and the interior. (I bought the $58 package.) They missed several spots wiping down the interior doors and coffee splashes around the cup holder. Iasked her to wipe them off and she did. Come on guys I'm paying you to clean up my mess afterall. What I'm mad about is the obvious dirt left on the car. I have pictures of the whole car and multiple dirt spots but I figured for the reader this would be redundant. I don't like the touchless car washes because I feel like they just move the dirt around. Here they touched it and I feel like they did as bad a job. I'm very dissatisfied and as it was my first time there,it will be my last time. Save your money go somewhere else. I feel ripped off so I'm not going back.

I went to this car wash and got the "Red Carpet Treatment" for a whopping $20...whatdya know it when I go around to the front of my car it has dirt all over the hood!! I follow along the sides and there are handprints all over the car and grease strips when you open the doors. I can't believe I paid $20 bucks for it to look worse than it did in the beginning!!

I spent an hour and twenty minutes waiting to have my car washed ($25.50) while the person that was working on my car was repeatedly called away to work on other exterior only car washes - to clean tires. I spoke with manager of the day and I had a sign shown to me that said if they were busy it might take longer. They. Were. Not Busy! No one in front of me when they drove my car straight in. Only 5 other interior&exterior cars being done during the entire time I was there. Exterior only, drive thru car wash with tires cleaned, took presedence over the rest of us. My transaction receipt shows 14:54. My pictures that I took, of how NOT busy they were, as I left, & began right outside of the building are initially timed at 4:15. Extremely dissatisfied. Lee that tried to clean my car did a good job, when he was allowed to work on my car. Sorry this seems to be a typical pattern in how this business is ran. Manager and others wanting to be managers could have cared less We will not be back.

The VIP service is their lowest price service where they have you get out of your car after the drive-thru portion and they work on it some more. Great value. They spend more time after the automatic wash than the automatic wash itself. I'd rather not get the stuff on the next more expensive service, like Armor All and air freshener. I've been here about 12 times. Only once was it not excellent.

Having lived in Christiansburg for 7 years I either washed my car or took it to the do it yourself car washes around town. A friend of mine told me about Southern Classic and one day decided to treat myself to their VIP wash. All I can say is "Wow" They do a great job and take their time. Not hurried or sloppy. They clean the car inside and out and they are super friendly as well. The next time I will get the "Red carpet treatment"

Visited this place with my mom, we waited 2 hours, she bought the $25 package and when we got in the car it was half done. It's a rip off, I tried to get her to go back, but she said it happened last time she was there and the manager talked to her bad. She will not be back, I am furious about the customer service here. Terrible, don't waste your money.

Gentleman that cleaned car was very professional. Pointed out that the car wash had pulled away some of my trim and the manager had employees use super glue to try and fix it but didn't but did get super glue on my paint. The manager was very unprofessional. Rude. Said they didn't fix loose trim. New car!!!. Really. Asked for his boss. Through pen and paper to me to write down what happened. Can't believe manager was so unprofessional. Could have been a simple fix but he had to make situation alot worse. Will be talking to upper management and hopefully they have better ethics.

Do not go here!! My wife took her car there and dropped it off a few weeks ago! After she picked the car up she realized the car was barley cleaned and returned to complai. The manager said what do you want me to do about it!! She said you can start with a refund! He complied and gave her the refund. After she arrived home she noticed that the center console and glove box had been rummaged through. Then she realized that (6) Regal Theater movie passess were missing!! We drove straight there and spoke with the two guys who did the interior cleaning... after a heated confrontation. ..one of the two guys walked away and returned with the passess. We called the police and watched video but you could not tell which theif took the tickects. Neither would admit to the larceny. The manager could care less and was very unprofessional!! So dont go there unless you want things stolen out of your vehicle!!!!! We will never return!!!!!!

I got the red carpet+ wash. They missed about a two square foot section on the back of my SUV. I waited inside with one other customer for almost an hour while my interior was supposed to be getting cleaned. When I came out, I asked if it was done and was told that it was. Got inside and it wasn't touched. Since I was in my car and already had wasted an hour, I drove up main street and got it cleaned no problem.

For an automatic car wash this one does a good job. The gentleman at the beginning and the end of the car wash do a good job. They prep the car to get the bug stains off and the guys at the end wipe off the excess water from the windshield and sides. Fair price for the job.

Got the car back nice and clean, but the mats were coated *thick* with Armour All. This made them very slick and the slickness rubbed off on my shoes and even a water bottle that fell on the floor in the back. The parking lot is also very slick, probably from coating the mats in Armour All. Be careful!
