Mountaineer Automotive Carwash damaged my back glass car window/Top, damaged to Top was over $ 1,700.00 & Dealership REFUSED to pay for damages! I notified dealership immediately & was jerked around two weeks before them telling me they would not pay for the damage! (Response) I have witnesses - the dealer I purchased the car from 2 weeks prior, & 2 other witnesses who rhode in the car the day before when it was pouring rain w/no leaks! People who know there was no damage or leaks with the car! Until - the washer roller went across the back glass & pushed so hard that the bottom seam busted away from the window! We watched the damage as it happened & your service staff took pictures showing the seam hanging & didn’t even offer to clean up the water that had flooded the back of the car! I asked! Bottom Line - It wasn’t broken when I pulled in but it sure was when I left! The effort was made to correct it, until they found out how much it was going to cost to fix it & then refused! The car still had temporary tags on the car! & Mr. Tyler was given the number of the dealer where it was purchased & if he had called the dealer, like he was supposed to do, the dealer would verify the car did not have any leaks! & was washed two times before my purchase & had NO ISSUES! It doesn’t matter how old the car, make or model, It wasn’t leaking or broken when the car was taken to your car wash but it SURE had damage when we left! Treating customers like this is a shame! The only effort made was avoiding paying for the damages!

I wrecked my GMC in November. Was waiting after the holidays to shop for another truck. I went to 1 dealership in Summerville where I have bought 3 other trucks from before, also 3 other dealerships in Beckley. Though I have good retirement income my credit was a little subpar. I called Jesse Adkins at the Crab Orchard Lot about a truck I saw advertised on TV. A couple of phone calls to Jesse and I went to test drive the 2016 Nissan Frontier. I was in/out of the lot within 90 minutes. Where all the other dealerships wanted a incredibly high down payment & wouldn't finance tax, tags, etc.... Bobby Jones worked hard for me and done what the others couldn't without killing my budget. And gave me a great price. Thanks guys at Crab Orchard!

Man, how do you rate the only Ford dealer in the area. They just rebuilt their facility and it is gorgeous. They have streamlined their intake and checkout processes. They will get the job done, warranty or otherwise, but don;t expect it to be seamless. The front end service guys seem tired, overworked and a little unhappy to see you at times. Overall, it is just about what you would expect from any business who has a lock on a market. Adjust expectations accordingly.

My wife was returning home to Lynchburg, VA from a trip when the transmission in her 2002 Ford Explorer crapped out near Beckley. She nursed it to your establishment for evaluation and repairs. When I heard about the trouble, I expected to be "taken for a ride" since she was from out of town and essentially stranded. I talked with a fellow named Joe who filled me in on the details and repair options, I authorized the installation of a remanufactured transmission at his estimated cost. You also arranged for a rental vehicle at your cost so that she could return home that day. We received a call the next week that the repairs were complete and we traveled to pick it up. Much to my surprise, the actual cost was significantly less than the original estimate, We were pleased with the repair and the manner in which we were treated. Darn, if it was not so far of a drive, I would consider buying my next vehicle there, Thanks!

I bought a car from Mountaineer the very day they were switching over from Ramey! Excellent experience. Man I tell you what they really worked to get me into a great car. Well unfortunately it was wrecked while I was down south taking care of some family legal business and so I came back after buying car just 6 months earlier and what happened??? No customer service whatsoever! Could not get a return phone call after calling multiple times and salesman was supposedly busy! Well I made sure to remind sales staff to tell my salesman I called,here's my number,call me as soon as possible!!! To this day,a little over a year later,I'm still waiting! Well I just seen a truck online here I'm interested in so sent of request to confirm my time I requested this upcoming saturday May 7th. Maybe my experience will be different this time around.

They will sell you a car that you don't want. Went in for a Cadillac came out with a lemon of a Dodge Avenger. Don't ever buy an Avenger they are junk and only good for boat anchors. Too much puffery and HIGH interest rates. L&S and Hometown does better for anyone.

Bought 2014 Ford Escape SE with my now ex-wife Mary Barwick. Put $6k down and they front loaded the interest to give us a "better" interest rate completely taking advantage of our trusting nature of a neighbor working there. Been in shop for major repairs three times since bought in 2014. Drive less than 50 miles per day and had to be towed again today. If I could trade it away forever I would. So I go in and get the ball rolling on another truck I ask whats going on with the 11000 dollars ive don paid out in 2 months Jesse the salesman said it getting worked in to the deal . Had my F-150 truck serviced at Mountaineer Ford. When I picked up my truck I noticed the inside had been ransacked while at the dealership and several items were missing. I called the service department and reported the theft from my truck and was told the service manager would get back to me. I waited several weeks with no reply and then wrote a letter to the General Manager over two weeks ago... still no response? This is really poor security and customer service.

Have purchased 2 vehicles here, the Outlander we got has 3 recalls, I have tried to schedule 3 times and every time asking about a loaner to go to my dr appts etc. while in Beckley (since I live an hour away I schedule my stuff in one day)and I’m always told “ummm no”. Why is it written on the sign as soon as you walk in? I’ve heard them offer others a vehicle. I feel like going elsewhere, the one that answers in service is rude and slams phone down before the phone call is finished.

They have nice vehicles in all but not many selections on colors and the crew member that was helping me kind of made me feel dumb and of yelled "talked very loud" the entire time didn't really feel welcomed. Edit: After seeing this review, the service manager called and spoke with me. I must say, this I'd better than most would do. Waited 4 hours to tell me they didn't have the part in stock. That was after they checked my car within 15 mins and then let it sit for 3 hours and 45 mins without coming to get mr. Called then 3 days earlier and told them what part I needed. They said it wouldn't be a problem. Also a salesperson pitched me a great deal on a vehicle. Great price, but that only lasted until we were about to sign the deal then they tried to jack the piece up several thousand. I'll push my car over the hill before I go back.

Please for the love of God, do not buy anything from this dealership, bought a vehicle from them with the big super extended warranty, had an issue with my truck, exhaust header was leaking, took it up there & they said the ticking noise was normal, which I knew better because I have need a mechanic for over 20 years ASE certified when I worked at a dealership, now a mechanic for CAT, keep getting worse took it back up there several more times, then they said yelp it’s leaking, but you’ll have to pay $100 for your extended warranty because you’ve had the truck too long, I said I brought it up here with in a month of having the vehicle, & several times after, couldn’t find any records they said, at this point didn’t care, agreed to pay the $100 just wanted it fixed, used a vacation day to take my vehicle to Princeton with the appointment they gave me, sat up there all day until closing, didn’t fix my truck, was told they would order parts & get back with me, been a few months now, I just gave up, took it somewhere else, & this is just one problem, don’t have the time to write everything, because it would be a book, & went up there yesterday & asked if they would repair my seat cover & tonneau cover liked I was promised when I bought the vehicle, then I would consider buying another vehicle there because I was going to buy my son one today, guess what, I went straight to Beckley auto mall & bought him a brand new vehicle, really wasn’t going to buy one there anyway, but just had to see what the used car manager would say, no help, this place sucks!!!!!

One at best. Terrible service department. Told my car would be looked at and I was high priority since I was four hours from home. They had it a week and never even looked at it. In fact, we had to call them on Thursday and they said they wouldnt be able to get to it till the following Monday. So instead we towed it home and no one was around to help us load the car on a car trailer.

Took it in to have oil change, rear brakes making noise, auto track needed servicing. They tell me I needed new brakes & rotors in front, so of course I let them do it. (Forgetting I just had new brakes and rotors 3 months prior). I called and asked to see the old parts, they said they would look, but they are disposed of daily. Never heard back from them. And there is still a noise in the rear brakes, and my auto track light still needs serviced, but they told me it was taken care of.... 100 percent my fault for not remembering new rotors and brakes 3 months earlier. Lesson learned. Someone has lied somewhere..... From now on whoever services my vehicle will get a billion questions and I will want straight up proof before any work is done..

Had my company truck serviced and tires rotated. It had a tire sensor fault on for one of the tires so I told them to change the sensor. They told me I had 3 sensors bad. I told them I would get them repaired later. I was working in Mount Vernon Illinois so I took it to the ford dealership there and they changed one sensor and took care of the problem. I dont trust this dealership, It doesn't appear they are a honest business. If it was my personal vehicle that would have been a lot of money out of my own pocket. Will NEVER purchase another vehicle from them!! Got my husband a 2011 Ford F-150 on October 24, 2018. He cuts timber as a profession. The next day he took it to work, the 4 wheel drive wasn’t even working in it!! He had to take in and have that fixed. Then last week he noticed that oil was leaking from the turbo and he told them that it was making a noise when he had it 4 wheel drive and backing up. Also, there’s a light that keeps popping up in the the instrument panel. Well, they told him they could fix the leak in the turbo but not the 4 wheel drive or the problems coming up in the instrument panel because they wasn’t covered under his “warranty.” Said it would cost $190 to fix the 4 wheel drive and $672 to fix the light coming on in the dash. I told them if they would’ve fixed the 4 wheel drive right the first time i wouldn’t be having this problem and I wasn’t paying them to fix it again! Well, they paid for that. We picked our truck up Friday after they supposedly had fixed the turbo, well my husband went to pull out from onto the highway from where we live, and he said he heard a big pop and suddenly didn’t have any power. He brought it back home, and the intake hose leading into the turbo bad blown off!! It took him over two hours to get it back on because it was in such a tight spot!! We are LIVID!! This truck only had 66,,000 miles on it and clearly is a LEMON! I have left a message with the manager. If I don’t hear from him soon, I will be contacting an attorney!! Btw, we have pictures where the hose blew off the turbo.....

Purchased a 2015 Mirage was very happy with the experience,but went back to try to purchase another vehicle with a trade( which i probably have negative equity in trade) it has been about a week and have not heard a word from Mountaineer concerning my possible trade and purchase of a new Mitsubishi. If they do not want my business again"just call and let me know" If we can't deal we cant deal all it takes is someone from Mountaineer picking up the phone and letting me know. I can always go to their competion. A phone call would have given them 5 stars. It has been two weeks since I recieved a responce from Mountaineer on my post. I still have not heard from anyone there. Customer service must not be their top priority. Three weeks is a very long time to wait for someone to contact you. I guess keeping my business where I live is not a good idea 3/15/16

I had my 2004 F150 here to get shorty headers installed, and when I got it back, it didn't last for a week. My local mechanic had told me that they drained 5 quarts out of 6.5 quarts of motor oil when they pulled the engine, and never refilled it. That being said, there were also bolts missing from the headers that I purchased and also paid to have installed. This is unacceptable, and something WILL be done about this, even if it involves a lawsuit.

I had an oil change and fuel filter replacement on my diesel pickup. My truck was damaged on the hood (dents and significant scratches). I took the truck in and the service department took pictures and said someone would be calling me. It has been well over a month now, I have called a dozen times and left messages. Still to this day I have not received a call back to discuss the issue. I will have my truck fixed somewhere else and maybe they will talk to my lawyer when he calls. They don’t even deserve 1 star.

After bringing my Ford in for repair and was out of state I had to wait several days for them to even look at it. Once they looked I was told it was the fuel pump which would take several days to get. Then the next day they told me it's ready. After I asked how was it done so quickly they told me that they put an ADVANCE AUTO PARTS fuel pump in without my permission. What kind of Ford dealer does that?! They then had to eat the bill to take that one out and put a Motorcraft one in. I would stay away from this place if possible. I wouldn't recommend bringing your wheelbarrow to this place!

My 2015 Escape cut out a few times while I was on the way to Florida from Ohio. I was thrilled that the dealership turned out to be about a 5 min drive from my hotel (the desk clerk gave me the name and phone number). I had my elderly little dog with me so I was really nervous about the car dying by the side of the road and putting doggie under a lot of stress. I brought the car in first thing that next morning and the technicians were most kind and accomodating, They worked on the car in timely manner and were most careful to explain exactly what was the issue with the car. Very pleased with my recent experience at Mountaineer Ford. Everyone (from the salesmen, sales manager, finance rep, and quality assurance lady) was very friendly, helpful, accommodating, and professional. I dislike going to a car dealership as much as going to the dentist, but they made buying my recent car both enjoyable and a breeze...no pushy or shady salesmen here. They even let me drive the car home and keep it overnight, a distance over 1 hour away, to make sure it would fit into my garage before purchasing it. The dealership has a very modern decor and feel to it, they even have giant tablets installed in the desk tops that you use to review and sign your purchase documents on. Included in the purchase was a few nice added benefits, such as a full tank of gas and five car washes at their auto-spa. I would definitely recommend stopping by Mountaineer Ford for your next automobile purchase.

My conv.top wouldn't go up! Took my car to mountaineer auto ask if they could put up by hand ? They said No. About 2 weeks later they call and say I need ,Hydraulic pump and switch.which didn't fix problem."Steve" says they had Never done a job like mine before. He then said I needed 2 cylinders. Since the 2 parts already at the cost of $950.00 I declined anymore work ! After my Grandson discussed the matter with Mike Watson, it still cost me $610.00 ! After taking my car home it has 2 Leaks which was NOT THERE when they got the car for 28 days!! Had car put on Lift , the transmission line was bent and loose bolt on oil unit ! They did put the top up by hand. I am not happy at all with this Dealership would NOT Advice anyone to go there! They are not Trustworthy ......

I've bought three vehicles from mountaineer automotive. Two new f150s and a used Ford focus for a gas saving work ride. I love fords cause I have never had a problem with them. I purchased my first f150 at the beckley branch in 2015. I thought that that's where I'd always go, but they are TERRIBLE there now. I've purchased my two newest ones from Matt at the Crab Orchard branch. Matt and Holly are a great team and honestly try to get you the best deal. They take time and understand that you need time to think. They never pressure you and always try to help. Shoot Matt even helped me get my ride home while my wife stayed at home with our sick little boy. I honestly believe they would do anything they could to help any one out. If they dont have what you want in their lot then they will get it for you.

Service department is terrible. Called in a week early to schedule an appointment to have my truck looked at. Dropped it off that morning called back 3 hours later. Still was not looked at. Woman stated that an appointment is a "ball park time" ball park to me isn't 3 hours later. Here we are 9 hours later putting in an o2 sensor. I have pulled trucks out of this service department before for lack of service and took to princeton ramey ford. They are on top of there service. Will be the last time I try to use mountaineer ford.

Had to get 4 new tires after having van only 3 months and driven less than 4000 miles. The dealer did pay for 2 tires but I feel they should have replaced all 4 at no charge to me.
