Don't advertise no appointment necessary, drive-through state inspections and then tell someone who drove out of their way and arrives at 8AM that you won't be able to get their car in for the inspection until the afternoon or maybe tomorrow. Won't be going back, for anything! Waste of an hour of time off from work and gas.

I have visited Quik Lube 3 times lately. I have received excellent, honest service from Wayne and his staff. I was kept abreast of everything going on with my repairs, even bringing me out to show me what was needed and why. There was no condescending tone or treatment because I am a female. A knowledgeable one, tho. They are quick and efficient, getting me right in and getting right to work. When there was a small issue, they were quick to show and explain why, and I had the options presented for my decision on the work. Everyone should make a point of getting things done here. The waiting room is very welcoming, as well! Thank you to Wayne and the guys for taking care of my car so well!

Original Post: First, I want to say that the service itself is very, very, good, and the people are great. This 2-star rating is to do with the customer waiting area. It's terrible. The windows are bare, and the glaring sun either blinds you or it makes the room into an oven and cooks you, particularly in the August heat. I was in there for nearly 2 hours while my car was being inspected. The person inspecting it had to do the inspection twice because of an error he made (which would have been no problem except for the terrible conditions in the waiting area). It was doubly irritating because the manager's office, immediately off of the waiting area has an air-conditioner in it, and when I was there, also had a fan blowing toward the manager's desk. I mean, if the manager knows how hot it can get, shouldn't he provide some sort of relief for waiting customers? I stood as close to that door as I could just to get out of the heat as much as possible. When I told the girl there how hot it was, she immediately turned the fan to face the waiting area. (Nice of her. The people really are nice there, and I do like them.) I also suggested that they at least put up some paper blinds which are super-cheap. They sell some with an adhesive strip, no tools needed. In future, I'm going to go ahead and make the drive to a facility that provides a more thoughtful waiting area. It doesn't need to be fancy, just minimally comfortable.

Do NOT go here! Got an oil change / fluid service done here on February 14th, 2011.... Not even a month later, I need to replace the whole rear-end because it blew a pinion barring caused by no oil in the rear end. They claimed they checked all fluids, and now here I am spending hundreds on a repair because of their negligence.

Once again Bucky and the boys at VQL helped me out!! I didnt have money for four new tires but notice one tire was showing wire. I called vql from moretown he said bring it in before 5 and we will see what we can do. So less then an hour later my good spare was on my car and thy even took my best tire put it on front (NO CHARGE) it solved my tire problem until I can get tires! No appointment only$12 to change tire and no charge to swap back to front!! I live 100 yards down the road and I go to VQL for ALL my auto repair needs. Why wld I go anywhere else? Good fast service reasonably priced pro service?

I went in for a state inspection and oil change. The service was fast however I was told I needed brakes all the way around to complete the inspection. I went and bought the parts and changed my brakes myself and found the the front brakes were only about half worn. The rear also had significant life left however one inside pad had slightly low life left on it. Still enough life to pass inspection however. I think inspection stations should have a higher standard when given the privilege to be able to be a state inspection station. Telling me that the brakes were needed all the way around was a dishonest move on their part and I believe they shouldn't be able to inspect vehicles for the state due to this type behavior.

Went in to get two vehicles inspected this week and recieved a warm welcome with very fast service. They did find stress cracks in one of my rotors which I was surprised they even noticed it. They were totaly unaware that I have been a mechanic for 38 years and know what to look for in terms of dishonesty and lack of knowledge, they passed with flying colors. Very impressed that Barre has an honest, clean and very friendly shop In town. I just moved here from Florida a week prior and was looking for a job, I was so impressed that I applied for and was offered the position as store manager. If that doesn't speak highly of them, nothing will. I look forward to continuing their policies of honest, fast and friendly service with a smile. Stop by and see for yourself.
