This is by far is the best car washes I've ever seen in my entire life. The staff here are extremely friendly and offered and went away above and beyond to help me out. This is a fantastic place to bring your rentals or family cars to get them serviced and they return it clean as can be. They did a fantastic job it was quite unbelievable and experience was well worth it. They even have a ice cream dispenser, free popcorn, free water, and a amazing lounge that even accommodates for families. My highest recommendation

Took a work vehicle here to be cleaned. Was very impressed with how thorough they were. Not to mention I forgot my work card. The staff let me go through since there was no wait I promised to return to pay. Which I did. After work I went with my personal vehicle which was dirty from living on a dirt road, covered in ice since I park outside and dirty inside since I have 3 kids. They spent the first ten minutes just spraying off all of the built up ice. I went through the wash. They then spent another 20 minutes cleaning out the inside with great detail. Idk that my windows have ever been this clean I will go out of my way to return and highly recommend them. Very much worth the price! Don't forget to tip!!!

I just had my first new car washed yesterday at Soapy Joe's. I first sent an email asking about the type of car wash because I was scared of getting slight scratches (which can add up). Joe replied back pronto and reassured that they use a softer material and I can come check it out too. So I did that, met Joe and he showed me how they do their washes. Made me feel confident and I went ahead with the wash! The wash was fantastic and the car looked beautiful and shiny afterwards. Joe made me feel cared for and attended to. Totally more than just a business but a friendly neighborhood car wash that makes you feel welcomed. Yep my first impression was that good. Will be coming here often especially as the Minnesotan winter rolls in.

Around $30 for an express full service wash. I had the outside cleaned and the interior dash area and doors wiped and a thorough vaccum. The Staff was very informative on the phone and very friendly, welcoming and helpful once at the business. There is a kids play area my toddlers and I found amazing. Fast and friendly service. Pretty typical work for young guys who aren't nearly as fussy as I am. I'd go back in the winter, when I love having someone else do the dirty work!

I always get my cars washed here. Their all new equipment and wash bay do an excellent job. And their workers are always hustling, and keeping up with the incoming cars. And as a plus they are a friendly bunch who, when not super busy, will have a conversation with you about the current topic of the day! One last thing, the car wash area is always clean and sharp!

We went here over the weekend and this is the second time they left streaks all over the car. I'm not talking about a streak or two but full streaking on the driver's and passenger's side doors. They did this when we came in February. We thought it was a fluke, that they just missed it because we didn't have any cash to tip them with. However, they did it the last time we went and we tipped them this time as well. I'm paying for my car to look nice and professionally washed, not like I did it myself. I would NOT recommend coming to this place.

Best car wash I've been to in St. Paul. They are doing an excellent job filling the void from the downtowner, which used to be the best before the sale. It's a drive through wash but they prewash and hand dry. Truck always comes out clean. They do the rain-x treatments and the wheels always look stellar. Water beads up and rolls beautifully on all the windows. It's a little spendy if you pay every time but I bought the membership for like 47 bucks a month. I can stop in a get my truck washed once a day with the membership so I make the most of it and get it washed every day. It's like 12 bucks extra once a week to have them do the inside. I do tip though every wash, so I suppose that's a little extra too. They have a bunch of other cheaper options too but I get the ultimate wash. I used to do it my self but by time I pump quarters in the self serve down the road, I'm into 8 bucks a time and a solid half hour if not more to wash and dry, do the wheels, and rainx. Plus I need a ladder to do the roof. I will probably go back to doing it myself when the weather warms up and I can wash in the driveway again but until then this is where I go!!

Last week I went to Soapy Joe's for the first time. I drove my Honda CRV into the third self service bay. I could not find any information in the bay regarding cost other than the initial $2.50 fee. I assumed the charge would be similar to other self service car washes and chose to put it on my credit card. I did a quick chlorine cleanse of the underside, followed by a quick soap and rinse. During this time the readout did not display properly, it was unreadable. I was unpleasantly surprised by the total charge of $9.00. In the future I will not use a self service bay that isn't upfront about the cost. While I'm satisfied with the quality of the cleaning I don't believe it was worth the money and that information should have been clearly posted in the bay regarding how the price is determined, e.g., how many minutes the initial fee buys and how much additional minutes cost.

Purchased the Ultimate Full Service and the exterior wash was amazing and made my truck extremely clean. However, the interior cleaning was okay. I wanted the cup holder area to be specifically cleaned and probably could've done it myself, but I didn't and that's why I paid someone else to do it. I would recommend for exterior washes only.

I went here with my one-year-old and I'm glad I did! At $30 ish for an Express clean in and out they sure did a good job. What's more, my son had a great time in the waiting room. From the kid's tool bench to library to play kitchen this place is on-point for parents with kids. It took a while, but it was worth it and the kid didn't care; he actually didn't want to go. Only suggestion is to add a changing table somewhere; it's not in the bathroom. Did I miss it? What gives? Btw the car is clean and I'm happy. I'm more happy that it wasn't stressful to bring the kid. I even got coffee.

Very good price for everything that’s included. I got the full service interior and exterior, for $30 and it included an amazing exterior wash, hand dried, and a very thorough inside clean. My car was muddy and sandy from a recent camping trip, and they took care of most of it! There were a few spots they missed on the inside, but considering it isn’t a full-on “detail”, I was still very pleased with the result. Staff were efficient. No frills place in terms of the waiting room, restrooms out of service (but there is a port-a-potty) and no AC, but for the 15 mins I sat inside while they cleaned the interior it was just fine. Much better value and overall result compared to Paradise. I will be back. Just wish there was one in Minneapolis! I love that it is a family owned, and family run, business. Also have great price unlimited monthly packages. If I lived closer I would buy that for sure.

So I got a wash here today and had an issue. The wash stopped after it soaped my truck. After it stopped I called the number listed on the sign. A lady answered and I told her the issue. She stated that I must have moved during the car wash. I told her I did not and she then accused me of having this issue before. Odd since I have never used the wash before. After the rude service I received, I posted a negative review on their Facebook page similar to this one. I explained I understand that technical difficulties happen but there is no excuse for bad customer service. A guy replied and stated they have me on video moving during the wash and he wasn’t going to start World War 3 over a car wash. I wasn’t going to reply as I thought his words demonstrated my point. Then with no further provocation, they blocked me from their Facebook page. I am assuming it is to hide my review.

I called with a question about their services, and Joe himself returned my call. That conversation alone is what convinced me to bring my vehicle in, but the service is why I'm reviewing. My choice was the ultimate full service package (current price around $32 incl tax), and I couldn't be happier with the results. I just obtained a newer vehicle, and the interior especially needed some love - and the folks at Soapy Joe's showed it that love. No more dust or road dirt, the windows sparkle, and the dash and instrument panel gleam. I'm not sure that a full detailing would have gotten it much cleaner. Joe clearly takes pride in his business, and his team is competent and friendly. If your vehicle needs some attention, you can't go wrong with Soapy Joe's. I'll definitely be back!

The NYC Standard's Review: 2 stars for it being better than 90% of the touch-less car washes around Rapid City. Does a good job of cleaning, and an OK job at drying larger vehicles. Available at any hour so if you work nights and want to grab a quick wash it is available which gets them from a 2 to a 3. For $15 the process should take a few minutes longer on the process overall. Room for improvement in the drying vehicles, layout design, and bang for buck. Adding an air compressor to the Free Vacuum area enabling customers to dry off the spots that don't get dried at all. This would bring this review to a 4 star. Good Luck

This place is great if you've never used a car wash before! The old man will walk you through it ( while the clock is running of course, he has to get paid too ). If you're a repeat visitor, you're in for a treat! He'll do the same exact thing! Except you might be lucky enough for him to tell you that you need to set a cone outside of your bay so you don't inconvenience anyone ( no other people there of course ). Don't worry though, what really matters here is the equipment to clean you vehicles with of course. On NUMEROUS occasions, I've had no soap with the high pressure wash (soapy joes??), no dryer button to use the dryer gun, and I've been approached TWICE now in an accusatory manner about the equipment. I would go elsewhere if you're looking to get your car cleaned as this place has really missed the mark.

For the price it was the worst car wash I've ever had. Paid extra to have the mats cleaned and asked to make sure they vacuumed under where the mats usually are and both were done too quickly to make any real difference. They are rushed and just trying to get cars through quickly.

Went here yesterday water presure in the self wash bay that i was using was no better then a garden hose at your house. Wouldn't rocomend if you need to deep clean a vehical. Also when i was there almost half of the facility was closed leading to a wait time of 20 minutes or more to wash my car. I would have left and went somewhere else but due to the tight space and vehicles behind me i was trapped and had to wait. Not an ideal layout of a car wash facility.

There were staff at the entrance to answer questions and explain the different options, staff to guide the beginning of the wash, and three more to dry off the vehicle at the end so your doors won't freeze shut. This is one of the better car washes in town in my opinion. I really like the fact they offer 2 automated washing stations for larger vehicles. The cost is fair to me as well for the convenient location of the place. I wish they had more room in the lot at times so it is a little easier to maneuver vehicles around. I brought my car here this week and got the full service wash, and they did an amazing job. My husband had raved about how good a job they did when he went a month or two ago, but he had taken our brand new car, so I wasn't convinced. Our older car though, the one I brought in this week, probably hadn't been cleaned inside in 3-5 years. That's not an exaggeration, and it was filthy. They did such an incredible job cleaning it! The inside is gleaming, they got all the gunk out of all the little crevices, and even tried to vacuum out my trunk around all the stuff that was in there. It was practically an interior detail. The exterior wash was excellent as well, my car is still beautifully shiny a few days later, and the lights during the wash were super fun. I will probably never get my car washed anywhere else. The folks were extremely courteous. The service was less than stellar though. Got the Ultimate wash and interior clean, was told the interior would take no more than 15 minutes. That caught my interest...could they really get it clean in 15? Sadly, the answer is no. Lots of dirt in cupholders, underneath floor mats, etc. The exterior wash was great. If you need an interior cleaning, go to the Downtowner.

Always has the soap, wash and the spotless rinse actually works. Someone takes care of this car wash. I will continue to go here as the price is right, the service is great and my vehicle always looks great when done. I recommend the Clear coat conditioner. Does wonders for the paint and shine! actually lasts quite a while.

Excellent car wash, great service, quick process. The original wash (basic) for $8 gets you two guys washing down the car and wheels with high pressure hoses (underbody costs extra). Next is the machine, which uses a good amount of soap and water. Job finishes with a hand dry. Car hasn't looked this clean in years. Will definitely be back. Update: lost one star as their machine is frequently down for repairs. Two of the last three visits I arrive to find they were closed for repairs, very frustrating.

I rolled up and saw the exterior, which gave me second thoughts. Don't let the appearance fool you, great service, attention to detail and pride in their work. Drive in place your order, get a high pressure spray down before going through the wash, then exit the wash for the rest of your purchased package and a streak free wipe down. I was very pleasantly surprised. Underbody spray down was a little lacking, but other than that I was extremely pleased.

Visited this car wash today for the second time in the last month. This car is sub- standard. I gave it a second chance today because of the other excellent ratings - thought my previous experience was an anomaly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. My husband and I use Soapy Joe's to wash our cars, and they always do a nice job. He takes his truck hunting so it is a hot mess when he gets there and it always comes back squeaky clean. The employees are always friendly and overall I highly recommend getting your car washed here!

This car wash is very busy on Friday afternoon. I got the “Soapy Joe’s Ultimate Full Serve Wash” external version. The wash seemed similar to the wash that everyone else was getting and it was difficult to judge whether or not I was getting my money’s worth (if I was getting all the features of the wash as promised on the wash options sign). That being said, the staff did a nice job and were friendly. However, this car wash is not at all touch free and will snag loose things on your car. For example, my license plate was bent up and a plastic guard under the front of my car was bent as well. The free vacuums are nice!

I decided to try somewhere new for my full service wash since I've had nothing but bad experiences at my usual stop (Paradise) for the last 6 months. Everyone here was courteous and helpful. There were a few drips on the outside around my door handles, but I was really there for the interior vacuum. They did a great job with all the dog hair in my jeep. He warned me that they wouldn't be able to get all of it out, and gave me a recommendation for another place if I wanted a more thorough job. Despite that, they did a great job and exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back.

I was referred by a friend to go to Soapy Joes for a car wash. I have always cleaned my car myself in the past, but I wanted to check this place out for myself because I’ve heard such great things about it. When we arrived today, 8/19/18 around 3:45 p.m. We initially talked with a woman (whom was very nice—she is the only reason I'm giving a 2 stars instead of 1 star). I asked her that if I were to pay for the interior to be cleaned, if the employees cleaning would be able to get the dog hair out of my backseat. Without hesitation she said that they could. So, I decided to get the ‘Joes Ultimate Full Serve Wash’, which includes the exterior and interior. She said we’d have to wait a little bit before they could clean the inside and we had no problem waiting since my friend said that they would do a great job. Once they were ready to clean the interior of my car, my friend and I went to sit inside of their waiting room to wait a little longer expecting it would take at least 5-10 minutes. With it being not even 5 minutes later, my car was ready. My friend and I opened the door to my car and without hesitation my friend looked at me and said that the car is not clean. I looked around and there was still a lot of dog hair in the back seat and a clump of dog hair in between the seat and the console. The center console, cup holders and dashboard were not wiped down at all. My friend wanted to say something, but being that I am not a person who likes to start confrontations, I said let’s just go around to the other side and vacuum it ourselves. We got there and started vacuuming and then we realized how bad it really was. At that point, I was finally okay with saying something. I was angry especially because I had just spent $32 for them to not even wipe down anything. I found the woman who my friend and I initially spoke with. She took a quick look at my car then decided to get the General Manager. The GM came out and we showed him the car. The first thing he responded with was “well, we can’t get all the dog hair out.” My friend replied, “yeah, but there is still tons of dog hair in here, we just barely vacuumed ourselves and got a bunch out.” He responded, “well we are very busy and we can’t spend extra time on cars when it is this busy.” What kind of response is that? That’s like you going to a restaurant and getting bad/uncooked food and the manager blaming it on the restaurant being busy. I paid for a service and it should end in the same result no matter how busy it is. We then showed him how nothing was wiped down and he said he knows his guys wiped the console. My friend took her finger and wiped smudges off the Center console, as well as dust with dog hair on her finger as he said that. She stated, “that was wiped?” Then I mentioned that the doors were not cleaned either because they still had smudges and dirt on them and he responded with that his employee do not wipe down the doors or any wiping for that matter (very contradicting to what he initially said). My friend told him that she had been there many times in the past and her doors have been wiped down. He responded with “well, some guys will do that if they have time, but we can’t always do that if we are busy. If you would like that taken care of you need to tell us ahead of time.” We told him we specifically asked if they would be able to take the dog hair out when we paid in the beginning and he said that the woman working there was new and he will talk to her about it. At the end of the day, he took no ownership or responsibility that it was a poor job and instead he just kept making excuses for it as if this was a job well done. At that point, we decided that we would just leave and with that being said, I will be returing to my old ways of cleaning my own car and my friend will not be returning to Soapy Joes. This was a complete waste of my money. I’m not able to post photos, but I have plenty to show. This all could have been solved and avoided if there was just a little validation or ownership that this was not a job well done.
