First and last time I’ll ever go here, we needed a wash and we were in the area so we stopped, my father was driving and said “here we go” and I just thought he was being over dramatic, wow was I wrong! I have never felt so uncomfortable trying to be pushed into a car wash let alone sold anything, we told the attendant NO at least 6 times... and every time he came back with a more rude remark or comment about why we are spending money today to wash our truck but don’t want to pay monthly.... well maybe it’s because we aren’t from the area did you ever think of that? It’s almost as if they were holding our card until we said yes! I understand sales, and I understand up-selling but that’s 100% not the way to do it, you cant just be as rude as you want and get mad because we don’t want to upgrade! I wouldn’t even give them a second chance.

The car wash itself is fine and the detailing area is great, however the annoying non-stop attempt to up sell the monthly package always makes me hesitate to go to Kevin's. Today I was very close to just pulling away. I must have said no to the Monthly plan FIVE times before the rude (I believe it was Kevin) person finally let me get my car washed. Just be prepared

While enjoying the rags and cleaner at the vacuum station (great addition), I locked my keys (and phone) in my car. I walked to the front of the car wash and Stacey was a lifesaver. She let me use her phone to call AAA and made sure I had water while I waited. She was kind and friendly and made a potentially frustrating experience significantly better. The only inprovement is that the back of my vechicle was not cleaned well and I bought the better pqckage. Maybe more soap or cleaning of the machinery would make the car clean 99 percent not 80percent. Overall, good car wash.

I have to agree with what Vincent down below said ... the upselling of the Unlimited is just more than I want to deal with. I go through, tell the girl I want the cheapest car wash and her response was “Well WHY the cheapest?” Because I’m poor, okay?! I’m a single mom. I can’t afford 50 dollars a month for car washes! I shouldn’t have to explain myself to get a car wash. “Oh well we have 15 dollars off right now!” Well that’s great, still don’t want Unlimited. I just want to wash my car, use the vacuums, and go. The fact that they have free vacuums is nothing spectacular, so does every other tunnel car wash. And they do have rags and window cleaner and some other things with the vacuums, but they say that extra stuff is for Unlimited members only so I did not use them. I probably won’t go back. It was a car wash. Nothing over and above. I like being able to just swipe my card and go without having to be barraged with questions about why it is I do not want to purchase the additional packages.

I went to get the Basic wash for $8. The guy told me they were all out of Basic washes but could give me $10 off a monthly membership. I asked how you could be out of basic washes if you have soap and water. The lady standing next to him said they were all out of “basic water.” I will not be returning!

I was really looking forward to trying this place out, because when I used to live on the KS side, I had an annual membership at another car wash called Waterway. Waterway was too far of a drive since I had moved to MO, so I was on the lookout for a good replacement. Reviews here were great and I was excited! However, upon my first visit, the cashier that rang me up was SUPER pushy. Pushing me to buy this and that, pressuring me to buy an unlimited package when I had yet to even try one of their washes. It was above and beyond and I actually started to feel defensive! Unfortunately, I left my first experience with this car wash in a bad mood and feeling tensed up by this guy and his overly-aggressive sales tactics.

Little frustrating to be honest. Use to go too this car was all the time, because it was quick, easy, and always got my car clean first time, and loved how they hand dried my car. Now they have 2 spots to pay for your car, but make sure you pull around, and they are going to try and upsell you, as well as try to get you too buy there pass so you don't to stop, and can cut in line.... also they don't hand dry your car anymore, just fans to blow it off.... and expect water spots. I won't be going back anymore.

My first visit to Kevin's Car Wash and it definitely lived up to the reviews. This is now my go-to car wash. Staff was very thoughtful and helpful, wash was very good and the free vacuums are fantastic! Keep up the good job Kevin and crew!

Overpriced, upselling monthly pass constantly is a nuisance. THEY DO NOT WIPE DOWN THE CAR at the end. Check your windshield... you know the normal light dirt film that the windshield still has outside of the wiper path after a good rain? That after-the-rain clean, but not really? That's what it's like coming out of this car wash. They SKIMP on service, gym membership is less than their unnecessary monthly pass. They spent all their money on the light show and apparently can't afford humans to wipe down the car at the end. Same wash as an unattended gas station drive-thru wash (that's a fraction of the price). Priorities at this place are just all wrong. Word will spread and they'll have to fix it or go. I miss Mr. Gleam. Not going back to this 'arcade wash' again.

I used to come here often and even had an unlimited pass. I quit the unlimited because of the rudeness of the employees. Overly hard sell at the entry, rude comments from the people up front, etc. I got screwed twice while closing the account as will. I went back for a single wash today because it was convenient. I had to tell the salesman 4 times that I didn't want the package and had to twice demand that he give me my card back. Then I got hassled by the person at the front of the wash. Do they wash cars well? Yes. Is it worth the aggravation of feeling like you're on the worst of the used car lots where the sales person won't leave you alone no matter what you say, no. I won't be returning there and I recommend that you avoid this place as well.

After one pass through, my car looks better than I can do myself, were I to hand-wash, but why would I ever again? Bought a reasonably priced monthly pass with its dedicated entry lane.

Mixed Thoughts - Its it's a car wash that has brushes. I love that. However it is THE most expensive car wash I have ever paid for. And for no good reason. It's not impressive. And it's pretty basic for a "drive thru" car wash. A negative, you can't get to the vaccums unless you go through the wash. Another, the attendant that was trying to sell me a wash, ask me how often I'm around the area, I told him rarely. Which means rarely, like maybe once a month. Tried to sell me a monthly membership. What!?!? No. $58/64 for a monthly car wash membership, absolutely not. A positive, it have brushes. Another, the worker that sprayed my car before I actually went through the wash did a good job. Paid attention and was obviously concerned about doing a good job. It looks a step up from what the Car Wash used to be. But mostly in the sense of being remodeled any new items. I had a lot of poop on my car, my car massively needed it. But not for just shy of $20. I might come back to this place, but only if it's absolutely necessary. $18 for a car wash for a relatively small car is ridiculous.

The was itself is really pretty with all the lights. I enjoyed going through it and I love that people come to dry the car. All in all the wash cleaned my car rather well. GUYS. I've never written a review for a car wash but I went for an oil change and came out a customer for life. Short: support small local business, go here. Long: let me tell you all the reasons Kevin has me sold. The absolute best customer service. The oil change with a free wash is a steal of a bargain. I thought I would have to get out and sit in a musty waiting room, read an old magazine, then get a free $7 car wash. NO. Not only was I able to stay in my car, it took them ten minutes, they offered me free a free beverage, (they also have starbucks in the waiting area) brought my attention to several things my car needed, but didn't force any suggestions. The manager himself came over and asked about my windshield and dripping exauhst pipe, called a guy over that used to work somewhere else and gave me a contact saying "tell them I sent you and he"ll give you a discount on that winshield". He told me where I could get a tune up since I'm not from here. They also give you a coupon good for $15 Amazon gift card for using mobile oil. The car wash attendants were all nicely dressed, the wash was good, which by the way is not the cheapest value wash for free with the oil change , it's the $30 wash for free. Free interior wipes, the vaccumes were good.... Guys I just took 5 minutes out of my day to write a ten page review for a car wash, they definitely deserve your business.

At Scooters Coffee, they typically offer you something extra after you’ve told them what you want. They do it nicely, and they do it once per visit. It irritates me when I see people in front of me being rude to them because of that. The people at Kevin’s Car Wash have no such sympathy from me. The unlimited car wash they try to cram down your throat costs more than an overpriced gym membership. Their basic wash price is now $9, which they recently increased, their unlimited pass is $45. So, you have to wash your car 6 times per month in order to get a $9 return on investment. Today, when I asked for the basic wash, the response was a glib “just ran out of those,” followed by another basic wash request, then another upselling comment, then a 3rd request for the basic. I never get through without saying ‘basic’ or ‘no thanks’ at least 3 times and truth is I’ve had enough. Last time the guy told me that my truck was too nice for a basic wash. Even a superficial and materialistic person would probably take that as an insult to their intelligence rather than as a compliment. This is a recent trend following a major renovation and hopefully it dies soon. The place does a good wash and it’s taken care of very well. It’s too bad that the transaction now always has to be an uncomfortable ordeal.

He was still very pushy and told me to get out my personal credit card.. Have been doing all my oil changes and car washes here and will not go back as long as he's there. Very unprofessional.

I’ve been an unlimited member for over a year now (I think) and have enjoyed my washes regularly. It’s so nice to not have to wait, especially since they have added the new lane! All of the improvements and upgrades have been wonderful! Went through the wash a couple of days ago and the rain today is just rolling right off my windshield, not even using my wipers. They also have the best vacuums in town. Thanks Kevin! You’ve got a 100% satisfied customer here.

This was just what the doctor ordered . After driving from Oklahoma to Harrah's a couple of weeks ago, our car was crying out to be clean ! I asked one of the security guards where I could get my car washed. He highly recommend Kevin's Carwash at the corner of Armour and Burlington in North Kansas City. The price was a very pleasant surprise and wellworth the price. Our car has always been a garaged car and is spoiled. But after a thorough wash it was willing to forgive. Really , I can highly recommend Kevin's Carwash!

Have had several issues here after giving them multi opportunities. I would advise everyone to not join the unlimited program by giving them your debit or credit card information, last month was double charged , advised them about it and it was a problem their were aware of but, took another week to refund. Now today, I see their have charged me 54.99 almost double, which I didn't authorize. Of course calling does no good just a automatic voice cycle. I see multi comments concerning this topic. Fair warning.

This location has been a car wash for 20 plus years. I was getting my oil change at Mobil 1 Lube Express @ Kevin's Car Wash. When I was paying the gentleman told me that I received a free car wash. As I was pulling up to the car wash tunnel I noticed Kevin has installed a brand new 2nd drive-thru Tunnel Car Wash. Best car wash In KC. Very competitive prices.

I was hesitant to try this place, but for only $7 I got a quick and well done car wash, a complete car vacuuming, mat wash, and air blowing to get into those hard to reach places in my car. It was well worth the money. Plus if you don't think the wash did enough, you can simply drive back around the alley way and go through it again for no cost. The vacuums have unlimited time!

I brag about your car wash to all my coworkers at the Rail Road or anyone I can I tell. “If you want to good car wash, go to the one on Burlington! Kevin’s it’s the best!” Did I mention the detailer tool, the STRONG FREE VACUUMS, free car matt washer and the cleanliness of the facility?! Yes! All that! Are there issues at times, I’m sure but any questions or concerns that I’ve had, have been handled with the upmost professionalism. Also, they received here recently an award for their carwash. If I could give a ZERO I would. On 8/31/18 approx. 1:30PM; I was asking about the prices/services offered here compared to the Jeep dealership for oil changes, since my vehicle is brand new I wanted to make sure I got the best. The (assumed) mechanic in a grey shirt - proceeded to tell me that dealerships used old recycled oil, trying to convince me to just use Kevin's Car wash: Oil change department. He had an attitude to the point where the owner had to come out and finish explaining to me about the different kind of oil they used versus others. Completely more professional than the assumed mechanic, who had to remove himself from the situation. Long story short, I got to Dodge Gladstone Dealership to get my oil changed which has a wonderful experience. After my oil change was done at Dodge, I went back up to Kevin's car wash to show them that they had lied about the dealership using recycled oil, I got out of my vehicle and went to a mechanic with a dermal piercing, trying to explain the situation. (This mechanic was not hostile at all) then the assumed mechanic in a grey shirt (approx. 3:00pm) approached myself and the mechanic with the dermal piercing talking and immediately and aggressively intruded into the conversation and my personal space. Then he pointed out the oil brand difference but that was not my issue it was the fact that he lied about the quality being lesser while saying it was an old and recycled oil being put into my vehicle by ANY dealership. The mechanic in the grey shirt put his finger in my personal space, extremely close to my face and that is when the mechanic with the dermal started waving his arms between the aggressive mechanic and warding him off. As I started walking back towards my car the aggressive mechanic the grey shirt was yelling something about him not being scared of little dudes, which of course prompted me to yell something back I cannot recall in the heat of the moment. As I got in my vehicle, I noticed the aggressive mechanic in the grey shirt aggressively walking towards my car. As I started pulling out of the property, he continued to follow my car and scream/yell insults at me which I could not make out through my vehicle. I actually feared that this man was going to start hitting my vehicle or worse. I have never been treated in such a horrendous way at any business and will not be returning ever. I called to speak with the Owner Kevin and have not heard back from him at all.

I use this place for daily wash with their unlimited club for $45 a month. You can wash once a day and use their vacuums for free vs. paying $15 a wash for the package I get. And the machine and chemicals they have to wash it make my car look great! I'd definitely recommend this carwash!

My experience was fine until they almost doubled their price on the unlimited wash program. I was not notified that the price was going up. I then followed the instructions per their agreement and notified them I wanted to discontinue the program within their parameters. Just saw that they have charged me again, totally ignoring my cancellation email. I had a coworker go through the same experience. I will not be recommending them in the future.

It's not right for Kevin's Car Wash to continue to charge your Credit Card Monthly. You are not told this at time of sign up. They hand you a unlimited Contract. Unless you read the contract, you are unaware. This should be fraud, and illegal. It should be up to the customer how often and when they want unlimited. Not Kevin's choice to Automatically enroll your credit/debt card for a car wash. I will say the staff if Friendly, the wash is not bad. The new wash bent my antenna, never had this issue in the other wash. I also want to say, with Keven automatically charging my credit card monthly for Unlimited. I will probably go elsewhere.

I have been going to this car wash for a long time, also an unlimited member. I love the car wash and the people. However, in the last 2 weeks my granddaughter has had her plastic cover come off from underneath her car and dragged it down the highway. My plastic cover was hanging down behind my bumper, my mechanic put it back on. This week a smaller cover came off from underneath my car and went flying down the highway. I'm a little concerned about this and what other damage is it doing underneath the cars. :( and I love this place and so convenient) but I'm concerned about going through again unless I just go through the regular one without the underneath being cleaned??

This place has been a staple in Kansas City for some time now. The wash itself is good and fair quality. Sometimes I wonder if it is better than doing it yourself. But one thing that is definitely a better buy is the 3 day guaranteed ability to return for another wash. But be prepared for for that “sticker shock” effect. Because this wash is not cheap. But the free vacuum is definitive positive. So I give it a 4 star rating.

We love this place! Never thought I would think a car wash was remarkable but this guy proved me wrong. I love how Kevin puts his face over everything too...shows you he really means business and stands by what he says to his customers! Super well managed, great user flow, crazy fast service, and they employees look like they actually enjoy their jobs. 5 stars! Also PLEASE start adding interior auto detailing services!!! I have yet to find a good place in KC.

First off the guys are super nice. Kevin's Car Wash is top notch. They offer amenities before and after the car wash that no other car wash in town offers. Yes they do upsale you but that is their job. If your too soft to tell them no then you should probably get your car washed else where. With their tunnel wash you dont have to worry about your wheels getting ruined by the track guide. It's all done on a conveyor belt. Just as they are trying to earn your business, I'm sure they are willing to deal with you.

I agree the car wash is above average but I’m going to start looking for a different regular car wash because I can’t handle the upselling of the unlimited package anymore. The employees are always polite about it and good sales people but I have to wait in the regular customer line for 15 minutes when there are only 3 cars ahead of me because they spend 5 minutes on each car trying to sell them the unlimited package. Then when I’m up I have to say no thank you, just the basic, 3-4 times before they stop trying.

I'd rather waste my time with a car salesman than go back to this carwash. I only go maybe once a month and tell them this, and that I only want the basic wash. But they keep pushing all their extra services multiple times after I clearly explain what I'm there for. So today I just asked for my card back and drove off with no wash. I'll never visit them again. I called their number to hopefully speak to a manager but it only rang and rang till my carrier hung up amd said the call couldn't be completed as dialed since they have no answering service, or no one that wants to answer the phone. I should be hand washing my vehicle anyways.

Fantastic Service! They have wonderful floor mat cleaning and shampooing machines at the front of the drive through. The service is great and virtually all the high end washes come with a 5 day rain check. If you need a quick quality wash after a bug filled drive... Stop by Kevin's! A car wash that gives you a 3-day possibility of returning when rain is in the forecast the same day is definitely a carwash that knows you will be happy with your car wash. Even without stopping to vacuum my car it was gorgeous still one day after the rain. Recommend this car wash to anyone who wants a very good car wash. Pay for the whole deal so you get the wheels and everything looking brand new. Five stars

I gave this place a 1 star rating, that's pushing it at best. Horrible, pushy staff that does not know the meaning of NO. In fact I threatened the attendant that I was going to take my business elsewhere, he totally did not care and pointed to the exit. I would not recommend this place to anyone, in fact I drive several miles out of my way to give my business to their competition, well worth it to not deal with the overpriced service with the pushy staff... I actually like their car wash but today is the first time that I felt uncomfortable because the attendant awkwardly interrogated me about why I would not do their unlimited wash. I had to tell him multiple times that I didn’t want to sign up for anything and then I don’t come in enough. In the end he just leaned on my car and stared at me waiting for a better answer. This is the rarest time I have ever felt uncomfortable and upset. I don’t know if this person has a quota to keep but this will be the last time I come back.
