Billion KIA is 1st class in customer service! I had brought my daughter to University of Iowa from Chicago and noticed a huge oil leak. Luckily for me I had my KIA Sorento towed to their dealership about 3 miles from the school. Teegan who was the gentleman who took care of me from start to finish was excellent in customer service! He was professional, friendly and more importantly just down right caring! He is definitely an asset to KIA! My experience with Billion KIA was a great one but especially with people like Teegan! I definitely recommend anyone who needs service with their KIA to bring your car there!

First time doing business with billion i would strongly recommend going elsewhere. There was only one small tear in the console lid of our explorer that we were told they could take care of and after the sale told us it would cost $125.00. Also there was a chip in the windshield that was conventionality hidden under a sticker on the window. We were told a new windshield would be the best option at our cost. If you do business with them i would strongly recommend getting anything in writing up front before you sign the paperwork as their word stops after the sale.

I went to several dealers before I bought a car at KIA and I must say that most dealers (VW, Ford, GM) were nice and provided useful information. Toyota of Iowa City was the only one that was not very helpful and their sales people did not seem to care about their customers. The difference between KIA and other dealers was that they provided useful information and they had excellent financing. This is my first KIA, and so far it has been very good

Bought two vehicles both brand new first one I had less than a year racked up 23000 miles traded it off during an oil change appointment didn’t get hurt at all on trade in value, actually came out real good so I bought my second. Highly recommend Billion anything they work with ya.

We live 12 hours from here and have a strange situation of a recent previous trade and then very shortly after that getting an opportunity for new things and needed to significantly lower our payment for this new chapter and Billion was so helpful in working with us and helping us find something with our situation. Everyone I worked with at the service department was really nice and they got my car back to me in a short time when I was in there twice for a check engine light diagnostic. The only problem was that hey told me on my inspection report that my rear breaks were in good condition. Lo and behold, my rear breaks, only four weeks after the inspection, were completely shot and needed a break pad and a rotor replacement, not just a rotor turn. I'm just annoyed because they clearly didn't check my breaks when the inspection was done or they would've seen the wear on the pads. Then, I would've only needed to replace my break pads instead of the whole nine yards.

Let me say, I've heard a lot of negative things about Billion. I didn't experience any of them. I did my research before I went in. I got the car I wanted and out the door price was still less than book value. They took "no" for an answer. I wasn't harassed or anything. God bleesed with me with a fair, honest deal. I'd go back.

I really like Billion for service work/oil changes. But for the 3rd time now (in 5 years), my oil looks black after I get home from an oil change. Years ago, I did the same kind of work. I would remove the crankcase oil plug. And just let the old oil drain out a good long time while I changed the filter and rotated tires. This was to prevent the old oil from tainting the new oil. I don't think some Billion guys do that. I think what they're doing is draining the oil and replacing the plug before the old oil has stopped dripping out - to save time, possibly. When one checks brand new oil, it should be almost transparent, hard to see, on the dip-stick. Today, my oil was black, and black on the towel I wiped it on. Next time I'll try to specify to let all the old oil run out before replacing the plug. And hope there's no small retaliations like wiper fluid not topped off, engine splash pan not properly secured, or something of that nature.

My car wouldn’t start as I attempted to leave. It was suppose to be a routine service on my Sorento KIA, oil change, tire rotation and detailing $170. It was late Friday, 6:00 pm. They offered a loaner to get home. Missed having dinner with my grandkids. Next day Saturday it was ready @ noon. Had to buy a new battery! I was told that it had a bad cell and therefore the battery died when something was left on and drained it dead. It’s disappointing. A $30k car shouldn’t have any mechanical problem. At least test the car before releasing. I felt as if they rushed their work on my car.

After spending several hours here working with Clint Smith to try to find the right vehicle for us, my wife and I did not purchase anything from Billion Kia. However, I still wanted to write this review so that others might be persuaded to check out this dealership. Clint listened to our wants and needs, responded directly to them, and was patient in his interactions with us (despite the fact that we had some picky parameters, did not have the budget for a new vehicle, and were on the lot after closing time one evening). He's a good guy. Unfortunately, we found our perfect vehicle at another dealership and, while we felt great about the deal we struck, wished that it had been with Clint and the rest of the crew at Billion. We'll stop there first next time we're car-shopping, when we have a kid or two and need a larger ride (Kia Soul, perhaps?).

Managment has no want to resolve issues. Emailed them about 2 or 3 months ago and no one has replied. Service department here is very poor and hostile. They lunged up at me as if they were trying to intimidate me. They also lied about providing service on my wife's car that they did not do. The problem I took it in for came back . There loner car given smelled like s*** and was disgustingly dirty and filled with animal hair. So if you like this type of service go to Kia Billion in Iowa City , other wize go to McGrath auto or any were else but there. Thanks you for having such crummy service.

I would not go here if you are a woman under the age of 30. They act like you're clueless about mark up, trade in values, and warranties. Took over 2 hours to even talk numbers when I was a serious buyer with a check in my pocket. Then they offer me HALF of what their own NADA rough trade in value would be for my vehicle. Please don't fall for their tricks!

Buying a new 2016 Kia Soul two weeks ago from Billion Kia of Iowa City was one of the two best car-buying experiences of my life (and I'm 59). From the moment I walked into the showroom, salesperson Corey Rodney was unfailingly attentive and kind. The key thing across the board here: everyone LISTENED to me. They listened to what I wanted, they listened to what I could afford, and they swung the best deal they could. They gave me a fair price for my trade. Business manager Steven worked hard, for a couple of hours solid, to swing the financing. My credit is not the best, but at every intermediate step of the way Steven gave to Corey in writing an account of where we were on the deal. In the end, they got as close as they could to the monthly payment I sought. I got a new six-speed manual (something I've been wanting for awhile now), which I adore. These guys are attentive and honest. I would recommend this dealership to everyone. And Brett and Terrie were great as well! Fabulous work, you guys.

I had Dan as a salesman. I ended up wanting to get a cheaper car than what was on the Kia lot, so I didn't buy a car from Dan. HOWEVER, I highly recommend going through Dan. He never tried to push me to do anything. He explained the logistics of things, what would happen if I chose this route or that route. He let me try out two different cars. Dan spent a few hours with me just to find out I needed to go for older cars, and he still treated me with the utmost respect after that. After a few years as a 1-car family, it was time to add a second vehicle. Last Friday evening, on a whim, I scanned the Billion website for what I was hoping to find. I had a pretty firm price point in mind, and, to my surprise, saw a vehicle - a Kia Forte - that was in my price, model year, and miles range. I immediately sent a request to Billion that I hoped to take a look at the vehicle if it was still available. Saturday morning, I had an email from an associate that the car was still on the lot, and about 20 minutes later, a phone call from Brett Schutte that he had the car ready for me to take a look at. This was, easily, the best car test-drive and purchasing experience I've had. Brett was patient, listened to what I had to say, my concerns and limits with what I wanted to find in a vehicle. He walked me around the car before we test-drove it, explaining the features, inside and out. The car handled beautifully on the road, and by the time we returned to the dealership, I was just about sold on it. We sat down, discussed terms, and after a few go-arounds, came to something that worked. I was hesitant about the extended warranty until Steven, one of the credit people, explained precisely what that covered, and seeing that the numbers still stuck within the range of what I wanted to spend, I agreed. Brett introduced me to their parts manager and to the head of the service department; both friendly people who clearly know what they are doing (big plus - their service department has limited Saturday hours). In all, the purchase took around 3 hours (that includes going home and coming back to pick the car up), and it was an excellent experience overall. There are so many people I've talked to over the years who had had terrible car-buying experiences (I've had a few myself), but I do believe I'll be directing people to Billion Kia from now on. If all the dealerships in the Iowa City area were this friendly, up front, and competent about what they do, I don't believe you'd ever hear another bad word about car buying in this town. Poor experience. The dealership was unwilling to negotiate, even though other dealerships had similar vehicles for less. They stated the advertised price was as good as they could offer, and if I could find a better price, I should purchase the vehicle there. I guess that's just what I will do. The salesman was helpful, but the manager was pushy and thought he could bully us into paying the advertised price. It should be noted I was dealing with the salesman and manager of the Billion Hyundai dealership.

Yesterday I bought a new Kia Soul ! (exclaim) with The Whole Shabang Package and so far I love it! It's worth the extra money for sure! It's easy to drive and very spacious. I love the huge sunroof, great sound system, and the amazing navigation system. One small thing I discovered was that when you're driving around the large screen will show you what the speed limit is! I researched the car before I went to the dealership and it has great reliability and safety scores as well as decent MPG so it was on my list of cars to look at and in the end I bought it. The people that helped me find the car and sold it to me were great! Their names were Ben H. and Corey R.. Since Billion doesn't have commission there was great teamwork in finding me the right car, they were both very nice, patient, and helpful. Ben showed me a few cars before showing me the Kia Soul Base Model. I drove it around and I loved the way it drove and how roomy it was but it didn't have many bells and whistles so I decided to look at the nicer model called the Kia Soul ! (exclaim). Once I decided to buy it Corey showed me all of the cool things that the car can do and I was very impressed with what the car is capable of. If you decide to get the Kia Soul with The Whole Shabang Package make sure it has a SD card in the slot which is located above the large screen. If it doesn't be sure to bring it up to them and they'll get you one. I highly recommend the Kia Soul ! (exclaim) and the dealership and I'm sure I will many years from now too.

My wife's KIA was purchased here, and at this point I would not recommend this dealer based on our experience. They did not seem to care much about customer satisfaction in my opinion. The car did not include the main user's manual. When they were informed of this they suggested we just download one off the internet. I do not prefer to have a digital copy (what if your car breaks down and your cell phone battery is dead?). The car also did not come with a full tank of gas. When this was brought up, they mentioned the possibility of sending a gas card, which never came. The car also only came with one key. For the price paid for this car, I would expect much better customer care. If you have an alternative location that you can purchase your car, I would recommend you go there.
