Two because the guy did a great job clearing out my headlights. Vacuumed carpets could have been better. Rims were barely scrubbed meaning there were still break dust on them. Floor mats still had shoe prints. Windows weren’t throughly cleaned. There were still water beating on the corners. All of these things should have been cleaned. Dash wasn’t wiped down. I shouldn’t have to tell the guys how to do their job. I payed for a mini detail. Definitely will NOT be going back after spending $110. Completely upset.

I recently took my car in to be cleaned after a huge thermos of coffee leaked/soaked the floor of my backseat... Juan explained the cleaning process and reassured me that they would do everything they could to get it properly cleaned. He even said that if, after a few days, I still had any concerns that I could come back and that they would shampoo it again for no additional charge. Great service all around! (Additionally, I had brought my car in a few months earlier to have a scratch cleaned/removed and they did a great job as well!!) Highly recommend!!

I always get good service here. They do a great job and clean the door jams, the hatchback door and all the places the other guys miss. When I ask then to clean a particular spot on the car they always honor my request with no problems. My car comes out looking great. Super friendly staff. They really care for their customers. A++

I've been taking my car/truck to this car wash since 2013 whenever I get a chance to go to the northside. Juan and his employees go above and beyond. This time I decided to get the complete detail on my truck. Wow! I'm amazed how my truck looks brand new. Prior to the complete detail, I had mentioned to Juan about a couple of light scratches it had on the rear bumper. Him and his team where able to take care of it and you will never notice it ever being there. Will definitely keep coming back for the washes and complete detail.

I drive for Uber so I wash my car inside and out two times each week. Elston Car Wash deserves 10 stars! They are quick but not careless. The staff is courteous and professional; the owner Juan especially. Don’t waste your money on the River North, Lincoln Park places, come a little northwest and you will be glad you did! They also give Uber drivers $3 off the premier level car wash which is well worth it !!!

This place seems like a good deal but unfortunately you get what you pay for. Last time I went here they missed an obvious spill on the front seat (leather so easy to wipe down). No huge deal so I went back again. Unfortunately they missed that same spill in the front seat and also some residue on the seat. I pulled over and had it cleaned off in 2 min. I won’t be returning as they routinely miss the mark on cleaning which is the whole point. I even pointed it out to someone before leaving and they said they’d tried (clearly not as I had it off with a towel and water in 2 min). Worth paying more elsewhere to get your car actually clean

We got a full interior detail after the winter and his guys hustled and got it done that day and no joke our car looked absolutely brand new. I scratched my car today pulling out of my driveway and it was devastating. So I went on Yelp to see which detailing service was highly rated. I feel so grateful to have found Elston Hand Car Wash. I drove in panicked and fortunately, the very friendly, accommodating and helpful owner Juan not only eased my stress, but he helped me clear up the scratches but he also detailed the entire car for me AND threw in an internal vacuum. I’ve been coming to Elston wash since I moved to Chicago over two years ago. Time and time again, the level of service, attention to detail, and care for my vehicles is unparalleled. The team here takes extreme pride in their work and works hard. Often, there is a line out the door- so get here early! There are a lot of wash options on the menu so you can pick what’s right. No dirty brushes like the quickie drive through wash. This is a class act operation. It’s the only place I take my cars in Chicago.

I just came here this morning for a very much needed wash. My car had salt and road grime caked on it from the last week of extremely cold weather, driving through the snow and salt trucks passing me by. This is very close to my job so I thought I'd try them for their early bird special. What you immediately notice upon entering their shop is that the inside is climate controlled. I mean, real climate control. As I type this it's 11 degrees outside. As soon as you enter and they close the door behind it you the temperature inside has to be at least 70 degrees or warmer. This is perfect for both the customer and the crew washing the cars. Speaking of the crew, they were fast and thorough. I got the premier wash which is full wash of outside and in. I was in and out in about 10 mins or less. Their full detail is about $20 cheaper than other car washes near my home. Their waiting area is also climate controlled and has comfortable sofas, a TV and a recliner. Complimentary coffee is there and some snacks for purchase. I will be making this my new go to for car wash care and you should too.

Got my car washed here before and it's been ok but today I got it washed and I was not happy with the outcome. After the car was washed it sat there fir about 10 minutes with water all over it then they finally get it to detail. I leave the place and start noticing the windows where all still with water spots on them and when I got home even the car was not wiped down properly. My fault for being in a rush and not checking before leaving. A $20 + tip car wash...I will not be returning here at all. Come to think of it they didn't even spray car freshener which is included...Elston Car Wash...fail!

Do not go to this place. I went in a couple of days ago for a Supreme Wash. When I came out, my passenger seat was stuck all the way forward and I can't get it to move back now. They must have yanked the hell out of it when they moved it forward to clean, and now the damn thing is jammed and I'm gonna have to bring it in for service. So pissed.

As a regular who always comes in, I’m always approached with professionalism & kind gestures. Their premier plus washes have been keeping my car look right all summer! However, I’m here to talk about their complete detailed car wash done the other day.. they went far beyond my expectations: engine was looking BRAND new, my leather seats shined brighter than when I first bought my vehicle, and the compartments in my car were fully vacuumed and cleaned. I personally had tar on my car (near my wheels) that wouldn’t come off, even after multiple car washes. The guys did a GREAT job removing all that substance from my car without ruining my paint. Overall, I feel in love with my car all over again thanks to the gentlemen at Elston’s car wash! P.s, These men are TRUSTWORTHY.. I left my girlfriend’s EXPENSIVE belt in the backseat of my car. I’d forgotten all about it, until I arrived to pickup my car. The box had been moved, but was put back in place & kept secured. HUGE POINTS!!

I'm really glad I read some of the previous reviews and decided to try them a year ago. I've been going ever since. I usually wake up pretty early, even on weekends, and that's when I take my car in for a wash. My experience with weekend mornings is that there's hardly a wait, unless it's the winter season. Leave your keys in the car and go enjoy their complimentary coffee or watch whatever is playing on their TV in the lounge. Usually it's the news. I prefer to sit outside of the lounge and watch the cars getting washed. Everyone works pretty quickly but also well. For just an exterior wash on a mid-size, it's usually $7 or $8.

Changing my review... my first experience was fantastic, but my second, not so much, so I guess it just depends on the staff... had to wipe down the interior again myself when I got home. Also, I paid $15 more to have the back seat shampoo’d and all they did was spray it a couple times, which is what they do anyway. Definitely missed some glaring spots that would have come out easily if they actually shampoo’d it. On the upside, they were very fast. I would have sacrificed some speed for quality though.

Went in to get a car wash on my truck. First of all they didn’t offer the gentleman Monday discount (-$3.00) he offered a wax for my truck which I agreed, upon applying the wax he didn’t even bother to take off the tar on my truck. I asked why it was still on and he said it needed a “special” cleaning to be done and I had to pay extra. I ended up paying $82 dollars for wash and wax and my truck was still dirty inside and out. Terrible experience.

Good place to wash your car, I'm not gonna lie. But they only take your vehicle for detail or mini detail whenever they feel like doing it. I called a few times before to see if they could do a mini detail which they say it's less than an hour to get done, and they always come up with an excuse. One time I even drove in front of the place and there was two cars getting washed and they said they couldn't do it. Why offer that option for clients then?

I've had these guys detail two cars, my car and one of our company cars. The company car is a shared vehicle . Previous to that, it was the owner's car. He has three young children. His time driving it with the kids, plus miscellaneous people driving it and not being responsible for cleaning it meant that it was disgusting. It was really, really dirty and had an odor. I brought it in on a Thursday morning and it was ready for pick up at 4pm. I couldn't make it back to get it so they kept it overnight for me. When I got it Friday morning I was amazed at how clean it was. It's a seven year old car that's seen some hard use, so it's not pristine, but it was as close to pristine as humanly possible. I am very happy and intend to keep bringing all of our company vehicles here.
