Twice I have purchased me cars from these folks. They go above and beyond any dealership I have ever dealt with to make the buying process worry free. And it doesnt stop there. They want to make sure way after your purchase that you are happy and quit satisfied with the way they do business and the product they sell. Super awesome!!! I will return to them in the future.
Nice people
I just had my vehicle inspected and got a sticker I took it here and they said that my rear brakes needed replaced asap I took it to another place and they were fine these people are just trying to weasel their way into your pocket my suggestion is to take your business elsewhere. also they told me my axle boot was torn and I should not drive it until it's fixed they must have thought I was stupid.
Excellent Sales and Service! Ask for Shawn Harrah or Matt Adkins for your best deals!!!
Friendly service easy to work with
Helpful staff
Just bought my first Subaru. The staff is extremely friendly and assisted me with getting a car when no one else would. They even call in a specialist, "Bishop" to go over all of the features of the car. If you are looking for a vehicle, go out to Hometown Subaru. Best dealership I have ever been to. I am now a lifetime customer.
Bought 2 awesome vehicles from Hometown. I love them both.
Awesome
Incredible staff, friendly service all the way around
Excellent customer service! Go buy a Subaru and ask for Billy Brown. He will take care of you.
These people was very accommodating
I had the pleasure of being helped by Janeen. She saw my Pa license plate on my vehicle and told me she had lived in Pa for a bit and we hit it off. She offered to show my wife and I any car we wanted to see and test drive. Went over all the details of the vehicles. She was extremely pleasant, energetic, and was able to convey information about the vehicles without hesitation. She knew her products. I look forward to working with her again on our next Subaru purchase. Thanks Janeen!
Hometown Subaru...what a wonderful surprise!! Unexpectedly, the best experience in a vehicle purchase we have had. Jacob C. and the rest of the team made the purchase of our new Outback so easy. There wasn't any "usual" pressure to buy. Jacob and the team were very informative & answered every question we had. (I had a ton!) They were very courteous. We were happy with our trade in offer. Everything went very smooth. We were reassured upon leaving, that we would be taken care of, should we need anything in the future. Because of our initial experience, we would recommend Hometown Subaru. Looks like we are a Subaru family now!!
By far the best dealership I've worked with. They got me in a new car and was very nice. They also got my mom and grandma in a car. I've been a repeat customer 3 times there and will continue to do business there and refer anyone wanting a new or used car to them.
During my time at Subaru they were very kind. Billy brown is who you need to see about buying your new vehicle. There service is outstanding!!
Excellent service. Love getting a complimentary car wash ..
Good service
Great service. Very friendly.
Super staff. We had our Oncore Presentation on our 2 new vehicles. We received 2-$50 gift cards to Sheetz for going thru the presentation. Love my Forester!
Great dealer, fair prices
Very friendly
Brought in my 2013 Kia Sorento to trade for a new legacy. They low balled me on my trade, telling me it was in average condition and only offered me $10000 for it. My Kia has 54000 miles on it and is in excellent condition. It has no scratches, debts, or dings, never been smoked in and interior is perfect. I'll never go back there again.
Very professional and courteous it almost feels as if I was family not to mention they wash and vacuum your vehicle at no cost I didn't even give them permission to do so truly a Delight there mechanic did a walk-around and noticed a bunch of lights not working I had them replaced at my cost but was thankful for this walk around check all this for a warranty check up I'll have the tires rotated on my next visit.
Awesome service
Fast friendly service
Had a 11am appointment for oil change. We got there at 10:40. Did oil change and tire rotation while we sat in waiting room till 1:20. That seems a long time.
Fast service, but when I got in my car there was dirt and grease all on the seats.
Always friendly and they go above and beyond for their customers! Great service and they take great care to check EVERYTHING. I appreciate that! Awesome job guys & gals!!
Bought my new Subaru here from rep Shawn Harrah.
Very satisfied with my new car. Love it. Employees at Hometown Subaru were nice and friendly and very helpful. Shawn Harrah was a great at answering all my questions. Didnt feel as if i was being pushed into buying a car. Would recommend Hometown Subaru to anyone interested in buying a new or used car.

Special thanks to Keith Coffman, mike farmer and bob funari these guys are awesome
Don't fall for the we will pay off your loan they have. They add on about 4K extra to your Subaru on the sticker. Save money buy outside beckley.
Great
Friendly staff, very courteous and minimal wait times. If it's going to take longer they come out and explain what's going on. The sales people treat you with respect.
THIS IS THE MOST DISHONEST SERVICE DEPARTMENT I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. FYI: I've never purchased a car from them so I have no opinion from a sales point of view. However I have taken my Subaru is two separate times for service work... BIG MISTAKE. The first time I brought my car in was because it was overheating. After keeping the car for a week (they did supply me with a loaner which was nice), they called me up and told me, "We fixed the overheating. She's running great". They charged $650 for the repair. No less that 11 and a half hours later I found myself stranded on the side of the road with an overheated broke down car. The following Monday I went back to them to speak to the service manager who proceeded to tell me that they had test drove it for a half hour and it was fine. I may have believed him if the service invoice they gave me didn't give him away. When I asked him why the mileage in/mileage out was the same number on my invoice after allegedly "test driving for a half hour", he replied that they don't really pay attention to that kind of stuff. So did they test it out? Who knows... Moral of this story: They do shoddy work and keep inaccurate, if not false, records. I'm out $650 and a car for a while until I can earn enough money to have it repaired by competent mechanics a few months later. Fast Forward 4 years... I need a state inspection sticker for the same car. It's nearly the end of the month and due to my work schedule, I have trouble getting the car to a inspection station before most places close for the day. I finally find a place that does inspections in the evenings and to my dismay it was Hometown Subaru. I figured that after 4 years of bitterly hating this company and spreading the bad word of Hometown Subaru to all my friends and neighbors, I would be an adult and give them a chance to redeem themselves. I mean, it's an inspection sticker for god sake, how can they screw this up? Right? WRONG. I sat in the waiting area for nearly 2 hours when they finally called me up to the counter and said that they found some stuff that would prevent them from giving me the inspection sticker. Here we go again, I thought. I asked what exactly this stuff was and they said that my tie rods were loose and needed replaced and one of the axle boots was torn. They said they could fix the axles and tie rods and give me the inspection sticker for $345 but it would probably take a few days to get the parts in and have it all done. (sigh) I said, "Thanks for having me wait 2 hours. Now give me my keys back so I can leave." I took the car to another local shop the next day for a second opinion. They said that my tie rods were tight and fine and they replaced the axle and gave me an inspection sticker for $185. They had the work completed before the end of the same day to my pleasant surprise. So there it is... Hometown Subaru screwed me out of $650 the first time and a few years later I gave them a second shot to redeem themselves with something simple and they just tried to bend me over again. Save your money and avoid this service shop like the plague. Get second opinions for any work that they say you need. This service department does dishonest, shoddy work for WAY too much money.
Very happy with new purches. They went above and beyond customer service.
my experience at hometown subaru was very pleasing. everyone was very helpful.. just purchased my 3rd subaru from hometown.thanks for the business
Excellent service. Very professional. Replaced my "dead as a doornail" battery, no questions asked. Prior to today, I have been dealing with a dealership in Houston, Gillman Subaru where I purchased the car, in 2016 and Cole Subaru here in Bluefield, West Virginia. Either of those I would not recommend and strongly disapprove of the way they have treated me with little to no respect as a female customer. Not to mention the blatant neglect they have shown to my WRX. I am so glad I made the switch! Thank You Hometown and Thanks to Danny for getting me in on short notice and Henry in the service for getting things done! ☆☆☆☆☆FIVE STAR SERVICE!☆☆☆☆☆ -
Great place to buy an exceptional product, and friendly, knowledgeable people
I like these guys. Their service department is very fast, friendly and efficient. They have a nice waiting room and they always get the job done right so far. I have seen others online saying they are expensive. I don't have anything to compare them to around here on price so I can't speak to that. I know my car gets fixed fast and I've never felt like I was getting ripped off.
Very knowledgeable salespeople. Glad they were open today to show us the models we were interested in buying.
Just bought 4 new tires got great service and a great price.
I have always thought that the service personnel was very helpful and very friendly. They have always treated me with respect.
Great
Got pur 2015 Madza 3 here
Great service and a very fair trade on my vehicle. Subaru is the way to go, they are the best vehicle to buy for the money, longevity, and safety. Everyone at Hometown was wonderful!
Another great place to buy a Subaru! Friendly staff and got a good deal.
Nice place
Subarus are wonderful cars & there aren't many reasons I would switch to another brand. That being said I really wish we had another Subaru dealership locally. Hometown employees that I have dealt with don't have passion about the brand & couldn't care less about your concerns unless you're talking to a salesman. They tend to give the majority of their attention to female customers then dismiss their concerns. Their service prices are high & they almost try to guilt you into having things done. Do your research then go there for a test drive. Try to get service elsewhere if you can.
Great place to get my vehicle serviced and one of the cleanest shops and best customer service in Southern West Virginia
Sales people are awesome, not pushy but knowledgeable! Bought two cars from them in the past 15 years and have recommended them to many of my friends!
Great customer service, always friendly. Got my car in found the problem, ordered the parts and scheduled me an appointment. When I took it in, they fixed it and it drove just as good as new again! Also the new garage looks great! Service even came with a complimentary wash which was awesome! Highly recommend Hometown Subaru and Kia!
Best dealer I have ever dealt with!!!!!
My husband and I are making a trip across the country and our car started having problems. We came first thing in the morning and they said they were swamped for the day but would do their best to get us in. Henry Martinez Skaggs was our service consultant and he was so helpful! We had to wait for awhile and the shuttle wasn’t there so he went above and beyond and took us to the mall so we could eat and wait there. They fixed a recall we didn’t know about, vacuumed. Great service! Great people! Highly recommend!
Didnt act like they cared a bit unless u got good credit
Amazing service. We showed up just looking to decide what we wanted. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. We were able to purchase a new Subaru Impreza with a great Deal. I would recommend them to anyone.
The new service area is very nice and I really enjoyed the new diagnostic system.
This is a great company do deal with - and they have a great service department as well.
Great service department.
Not very easy to work with on prices for vehicles.
People are friendly here and that help as much as they can I love the service
Excellent customer service. Jacob Cole went above and beyond. He made the experience stress free and very enjoyable. Honestly could not have asked for better.
Good service. Prices are a bit too high.
Had an awesome car buying experience purchasing my 2019 Crosstrek at Hometown Subaru. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and they found me the exact car I wanted. I love their no pressure approach. Would highly recommend going there!
Called 4 times and gave my information twice and never got called back one single time. I mentioned I was ready to buy immediately, but apparently that’s not enough for this company.
Love my subaru
Excellent service and friendly people
Used to be good place to deal, not any more. They care less if you walk off the lot. They got rid of old mgmt and sales people put in people that make the same if they sale or not. Love my Subaru cross trek though.
No high pressure sales tactics. The best deal I could find among 3 Subaru dealers. Highest dollar of all 3 dealers was given for my trade-in. I left the dealership in my new Outback very satisfied with the vehicle and the purchasing experience.
Buy a new car than they don't know you when you have a problem with it.....
Ever since I got my first Forrester many years ago I have dealt with Hometown. Always friendly, explain what needs done and estimated cost. Highly recommend them.
Awesome service!
They're very friendly they tend to your needs
I stopped in at the dealership today and was greeted immediately by Shawn, he had the patience of Job working out a mutually beneficial deal for all parties involved, he was very courteous and knowledgeable of the lots inventory and what kind of vehicle I needed for living in southern West Virginia, my hats off to him and his co-workers.... I will most definitely be returning in the future
Hometown Subaru has an amazing team of employees! Everyone we dealt with starting from the Internet search to the actual sale was very professional. No one was ever pushy but right there when we needed them. The whole team stayed on top of the search for the perfect vehicle and everyone has been extremely helpful answering any questions concerning our new Forester. When it came time to make the purchase, everyone worked together to ensure we were offered a great deal and get us out the door fast so we could enjoy our new ride. I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership for your next Subaru purchase.
Friendly staff and very helpful
Great service awesome subaru dealership
GREAT perfect will be back hopefully keeping my business local.
Just want to share my experience. You decide. I was in the market for a new vehicle but really had no clear idea of what I wanted. So I basically was looking at and test driving a number of different vehicles. I had been looking at Outbacks online so stopped by one Saturday, spoke to a salesman and asked him if I could test drive one. He said "Yes, but due to insurance purposes I have to ride with you". First time I had ever heard that from any dealership but since it was just a first drive no big deal. Test drive went fine and I told him I wanted to look at some other vehicles and would be back in touch if I was still interested. After a couple of months of looking around I narrowed my choices down and the Outback was close to the top if not at the top. I went back a second time, found an Outback on the lot I really liked and found the same salesman and told him I'd like to take "that one" out for a test drive. I also explained that my elderly father has some physical problems and I'd like to take it out to his house as part of the test drive just to see how easily (or hard) it was for him to get in and out of the Outback. Salesman says "Well I'll need to check with my manager as we generally don't let you take them out alone". I asked him to do so and he went inside. After a few minutes he comes back and says we'll let you take it out but you'll need to sign a "test drive agreement". I'm like, ok, whatever is necessary (though this is the first time I had ever run into such a request from any dealer). Went inside, had to provide copy of drivers license, insurance information, address and cell phone number. They then proceeded to print off said "test drive agreement" which basically said I would not use the vehicle to commit any crimes, I was responsible for any and all damage that occurred to the vehicle while on the test drive and would reimburse Hometown for any costs they incurred to repair said damage. It also said that I would return the vehicle in the allotted time. Had to sign and date the agreement. I then notice the agreement had a "time out" and a "time in" space at the bottom. Salesman says "How long do you think you'll be"? I told him with the need to navigate the mall traffic, get to my dad's house (he lives in Daniels), get him into and out of the car and then drive back I would probably need two hours. At that point salesman says "Eh, we usually don't let you have it out for more than an hour. Can you be back in an hour?" I told him that would be cutting it tight but I would try. So at 1:00 p.m. I signed out and took off to home. Of course, as I fully expected by the time I got to my dad's house, got him down the steps and let him try to get in, etc. I was running close. As I backed out of the driveway to head back to the dealership I looked at the clock on the car and I had been gone for 1 hour and 5 minutes. So I was over my allotted time but I was headed back to dealership so "no big deal" I thought. So I'm driving back to the dealership and it's been one hour and ten minutes and my cell phone starts ringing. I think to myself "Surely not". The phone was in my pocket and I didn't want to take a chance on retrieving it while I'm driving so I just let it ring and go to voicemail. I got back to Hometown and it had now been one hour and twenty minutes since I left. (Not bad I thought). But curious as to the phone call, I pull out my phone, looked at missed calls and sure enough the call showed "Hometown Subaru". Better yet, there was a voicemail so I check it and you guessed it. The phone call at the one hour five minute mark was from the sales manager and the message he left said "Hi, this is xxxx from Hometown Subaru. I was just calling to see where you were at and let me know if there is a problem. Please give me a call when you get this message". So, as I alluded to I'm not making any comments (bad or good). I'm just putting this out there to let you know what my experience was. Had to select a star just to allow post. Three star is just so I could post this.
Always friendly. Keep you updated in everything that's happening n service work is exceptional. Love them.
Great service at a price that I found comparable to the other dealerships in my area.
Very friendly place
It was a great experience they were aiming to to please and do anything to help. I could not received better service thank you.
