My wife was recently side swiped (hit and run) on 167 and prior to this occurring we had no immediate plans to purchase a vehicle. Needless to say, looking for a vehicle to buy is stressful as is, let alone when you're under a time constraint to find one after having the one you love get totaled! I'm happy to say that Richard at All American was a breath of fresh air, very professional, easy to talk to, and not pushy in the least. It was truly the opposite of what you expect to encounter at a car dealership. He worked well within our budget (actually even under!) and made the process painless. I was very surprised at how fast we were processed once we chose her vehicle. I could not recommend these guys more, if there was a 10 star option I'd choose it!

This place is a wonderful place to come, very welcoming and they do not push you into something you are not comfortable with. Richard helped us out and was amazing, and Brad made the process easy. Update 3 months later: The car is still running okay for the most part but small issues seems to keep coming up. The CD player broke in the first month. The sun roof does not work at all which I didn’t test when I bought the car because it was cold. Now the engine is making some noise and I now I have to take it into the shop. Not too happy with the outcome.

How many used car dealers are on South Tacoma Way? 50+? Choose wisely. About a year ago I bought a Nissan Titan from Hunter and Brandon at All American Motors. They were up front and helpful and got me through it without a headache. Recently I returned for a car for my wife. I bought a Ford Focus, but three days after picking it up the transmission began to fail (common problem). Hunter and Brandon went out of their way to correct the situation. They took the car back and cut me a deal on something else. I recommend these fellas and All American in general. Went in today knowing what I wanted. When I first contacted them about looking at a vehicle I saw on CarFax and AutoTrader, they called me up and emailed me promptly. When I got there the vehicle was already pulled for a test drive. They informed me of known potential issues of the used car I was getting and did due diligence by offering a service contract for the used car I was getting. Overall hassle free experience. Everyone was friendly and it felt like they genuinely care for customers coming in.

What a awesome place to buy a used Truck. I went there friday to trade in my truck for newer one and they came up with a great match for me. They listened to what I was looking for and need to do. After about a hour and a half, I was told I was approved for this amount and they had couple truck with in my price range. Austin the sales person I was dealing with so me what he figured I would like the most, and sure enough he was right. The test drive went great, there was couple of questions he couldn't answer but he got the answers for me. You all know at some dealerships the salesperson would make up a story, Austin didn't, he was honest with us the whole time. From the time I walked on the lot to when I left with my 2018 Chevy it was little over 3.5 hours, I highly recommend buying your next used truck, car or SUV at American Motors in Tacoma I know when you buy a used truck or car at any dealers, it's As Is and you take a chance, here I felt they were up front with me and not hiding anything. Everyone there was helpful, awesome and understanding on what my needs were. I'm totally happy with them. GO there and give them a chance to sell you your next truck or car. I didn't even end up buying from them but I was impressed with their service and thought other people would like to know what their business is like. As soon as I came in the staff treated me very well, I had set up a test drive and Austin made sure to pull the car out and start it warming up. We had a great test drive around the block where we discussed the features of the car, what other people thought about it, and got to know each other a bit. They were so transparent, and they didn't act like they were trying to pressure me at all just help me out with a good deal as best as they could. If you're looking for a quality business with no tricks and a welcoming staff you've found the right place.

Paid nearly 10 thousand dollars for a vehicle that couldn’t pass emissions and they wouldn’t give us any help after we bought it. The day I took it home, three warning lights came on. Turned out to be a bad charcoal canister which I haven’t been able to find cheaper than $750. This place wasn’t any help and the best they offered was 20% off labor. I’d be writing a different review if they offered 20% off the part. It’s just a few bolts and a couple hose clamps to replace it. Transmission fluid had never been replaced and the vehicle was at 142,000 miles. Hadn’t been in the market for a vehicle with an automatic transmission before so I didn’t think to check it when inspecting the vehicle. They have their own shop on hand so you’d think that’s something they’d take care of before selling to someone. The transmission was grinding and we were afraid we were gonna have to spend $5000 on a new one but we bought some fluid and a filter and that solved it. Anyway the important thing to note is the charcoal canister affects the emissions and according to the Toyota owners website, the car has had a bad charcoal canister since at least November of last year when the previous owner took it to the dealership. All American Motors may not have known that it had the problem when they bought the car, but it was certainly discovered at some point so they cleared the codes before letting us test drive it. So they knowingly sold us a vehicle that couldn’t pass emissions in a county that requires emissions testing and wouldn’t do anything about it to help us out

Absolute worst experience of my life. When they were selling me the car the service was nice but the next day after getting my car the service engine light came on and from then on it was nothing but misery and wasted gas. I had a number of issues with my car and each time it was like pulling teeth not to mention I wasn't offered a warranty so I didn't think this dealership offered it. My mother in law and her son both purchased vehicles from here and all 3 of us had that same exact issues, I don't know if they actually check the vehicles before selling them, they also didn't treat all of us the same in how they handled the issues which makes me feel like they might discriminate

Not impressed. Filled out application online, told the salesman my Max payment I was comfortable with. They ran credit, told me what I was approved for that would meet my needs. Said to come out and look at want they had. So I get there and there and they tell me the lowest payment they can get me into is 25% higher than what I'd told them and there was only one vehicle they could get me into at that payment amount. I know buying based on the payment is not the best way to buy, but it's what I needed to at this point. This is why car salesman have sh*t reputations for any kind of honestly.

Just a quick update now that I've had the car for a little while. So far I've had to replace the starter, the headlight assembly, tpms sensors, and very soon the catalytic converter will need to be replaced. I love this car, I really do, but I feel like I definitely could have gotten a better deal on the same vehicle elsewhere. I work in the automotive industry so I understand that vehicles require maintenance, but I believe AAM could have solved these issues prior to selling.

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR HERE. this is a HORRIBLE dealership to work with. They are nice when you are looking for a car and tell you what you want to hear. Once you purchase your vehicle you are dealing with a whole different type of dealership (read other comments). I bought a SUV here and it only had a few minor cosmetic things that needed fixing. Well when I took my car in not only did they NOT fix what needed to be fixed. They messed up the entire stereo system cause they didn't know what they were doing. They came up with a bunch of BS excuses and gave me the run around. I finally decided to cut my losses and have someone else do the work and do it RIGHT. and they didn't want to give me my parts back. it was excuse after excuse. First they said to go get it. I went in and the part was not left. They said to call in and I did. The service manager kept promising to send it and when he seen I wasn't going to stop calling he then called me back and said it was too big to send and they wanted their part back. WHAT A JOKE. They not once tried to resolve me small problem. Their customer service sucks. They honestly don't care about the customer at all. I worked with Brandon, who kept blaming my husband for his shops poor work. and then all of a sudden he was on vacation. They then put me in contact with DJ who hung up on my when I said I was going to file a complaint with the Attorney General. All we wanted is what was promised to us. pennies to them. but they couldn't even make an attempt to make us even some what happy. I am sure they will have excuses as to why I am not satisfied. But don't just take my word for it. look at some of the comments on here and the YELP reviews. I cant believe people can be so shady and are able to doop people out of their hard working money. Sad cause we had a great experience with Hunter (Who NO longer works there) and planned to buy our other cars there. But after our after experience and headache we got a better car with a WAY better interest rate (look out for that too. make sure you know your credit and what you should get into). If your looking for a car EVERETTE CHEVROLETE is AMAZING. and their customer service is not what most places have anymore. Please save yourself the headache and money and go somewhere else or your going to regret it.

Bought an 07 tundra there, super clean and nice. truck has been fantastic and am very pleased with it so far. service with Richard and the owners was fantastic. was not looking forward to the whole experience, especially from dealers but from the start of walking onto their lot, til I drove the truck away, they made it very easy and actually enjoyable. very fair and upfront with me, not shady at all. we agreed on some minor cosmetic repairs to be done as part of the deal and they completed all of those soon after I bought the truck. plan on going back when my wife decided to buy her car.

It all started on a cloudy afternoon, my fella and I were just pursuing the used car lots, we weren't set on buying, in fact we were just looking as my small car was not cutting it for two adults and three kids. Looked and drove through a bunch of cars at different places but nothing felt right. When we pulled into All American Motors we noticed their selection was decent from sedanss, to minivans, to trucks... and for the price pretty awesome. With in a minute or two Deven came out to greet us, he was extremely friendly and made small talk while I sat in a few of their minivans that had caught my eye. After a test drive I was sold. Deven and the crew at AAM worked with us above and beyond what they needed to and gave us a fantastic deal on a much needed larger vehicle for our family. Just bought a car from Gordon at all American Motors. he was super helpful and easy to work with, there was no pressure or aggressive sales tactics, he provided a relaxed atmosphere that me and my wife really appreciated . With there full service shop they were able to do any maintenance that I wanted done to the car prior to purchase so when I drove it off the lot I had no worries. When there was going to be a one day delay in the maintenance I was having done they called me to let me know way ahead of time. The communication and follow up of this dealer was great. I was shopping for a car with my 18 year old daughter, who had saved up for her first car. She didn't have a lot of money, but another dealer was ready for her to spend with them and had given us the lip service they thought we needed to hear. We decided to look at All American Motors. We soon realized their cars were out of her price range and she was ready to go back to the other dealer. We talked with Erin first, who was a gem, then we met Hunter. Hunter talked with my daughter and explained some things that an 18-year old needs to hear, but doesn't want to hear from mom. He also explained that the car that the other dealer was selling didn't make sense for the price and that something must be wrong. Knowing he wasn't going to make a sale that day, he still took us in his office, called the other dealer for the VIN and ran a CarFax on the car... he was right!! The car was branded!! Again... he did this with full knowledge he would not be making a sale. We spoke with him more and he mentioned he had a car out on loan that she may like. He showed us a photo and she hated it... the paint was a mess!! But Hunter swore by the car's integrity and asked that we please check it out when it comes back. A week later we drove it and it turned out to be a decent car, especially for the money, but she still hated it because of the paint. Hunter worked it out with his higher ups and offered to slap a paint job on the car. She was sold, but skeptical. She bought the car and we left while the car went in for a paint job. When we went to pick up the car, it looked AMAZING!! My daughter was grinning ear to ear!! Not only was the paint amazing, these wonderful people knew it was her first car and decorated it with balloons and they all signed the balloons!! It made her special day even more special. The car is still on the road and my daughter is still excited about her purchase. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. Thank you All American Motors & a special thank you to Hunter!!

My wife and I were looking for a nice used Tahoe and these guys had one. I was skeptical at first but had already ready the Carfax report on the vehicle that we were on our way to look at. I called to let them know we were coming to look at it and spoke to one of the salesmen named Maurice who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Tahoe. I liked him because he knew specific details about the vehicle and he was honest because everything he had told me was exactly what the Carfax report had stated. We ended up purchasing the Tahoe that day and were taken very good care of. There were a few things that we negotiated to have fixed at their shop which they took care of everything and then some! These guys have gone above and beyond to take care of us as customers as well as their mechanics Bill and Simeon who have also treated us with very high levels of customer service doing what needed to be done for us without question. I had narrowed down my choices to 2 cars in Tacoma. The first car was at a big commercial dealership where we felt very unwelcome. The salesman was patronizing and judgmental, and did not appear to want our business. The second car was at All American Motors down the street. We had arranged to see Josh Beckner, but he was out running an errand when we got there, so Kyle Tomko assisted us instead. From the minute Kyle greeted us, he was super friendly, personable, relatable, and welcoming--completely opposite of our first experience. Rather than hungry for our business, he seemed genuinely happy to talk to us, and we never felt pressured. The loan process was also easy and straightforward, and we were able to get a very low rate at the bank of our choice. The only thing that could have been better was a more thorough discussion about optional elements. We declined an optional warranty, but I don't remember talking about gap insurance--and it turned out that a pretty sizable gap insurance policy had been added to our loan. We probably would have agreed to it anyway, but I would have liked to at least discuss it. Regardless, this was the best car buying experience I've ever had, and it was a relief to deal with such friendly, laid-back people. Josh arrived while we were discussing the loan, so we were able to meet him and talk to him as well, and the owner went over our final paperwork with us. Everyone was very genuine and friendly. When coming back for our license plates about a month later, we learned that Kyle was out recovering from heart surgery for a previously unknown issue. Even though we had only met him once, he managed to make a big impression on us with his open, friendly nature. We wish him a speedy recovery, and we encourage anyone shopping for a car to stop by this place!

Got my car here in the fall and so far its been pretty good. I have to admit i had an issue in the beginning that freaked me out. There is some sort of problem i havent quite figured it out. Issue was that the used vehicle I purchased, engine light keep popping up all within 1week of Having it. Back and forth from the dealer, few days without a car. Weeks of them fixing and every time I get it back, engine light comes on a few days after they fixed the “problem” I WOULDNT BUY HERE! Nor refer them to anyone!
