Ryan Hughey is still easily available for questions Ive had even days after the sale and checks in regularly. I dropped off my Chevy Aveo at Shea Motors, Middlebury, VT, at 8 a.m. to have the A/C looked at; it was blowing warm air instead of cold. The Service Repair Shop did not notify me of an estimate of costs. Nevertheless, they proceeded to work on the A/C, without my consent. The very same day, around 4:30 p.m., I called the dealership to inquire about the status of my vehicle. I was not put through to the service consultant. Instead, the phone operator relayed that my car had been ready to be picked up since 12:45 p.m. I raced down to the garage right before they closed at 5 p.m. The service consultant insisted that he had tried to contact me, but my phone had gone directly to an "out of service" message. His story did not convince me in the least, as my phone had been on that day. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he never tried to place a second phone call, which suggests some very suspicious activity on Shea Motors' part. One alleged call sufficed in their customer service department. It was left up to me, the paying consumer, to get in touch with them. I never succeeded in reaching the service technician via telephone; his secretary gave me the okay to come down and claim my car. The $200 odd-bill was completely excessive: $140 for labor, $70 for parts. I strongly recommend that one avoid Shea Motors in Middlebury, VT at all costs. I most definitely feel taken advantage of, and totally kept in the dark. The strange part is that I was sent into an isolated office to submit my payment. Money was never discussed between the Service Department and me. It gave me the impression I was being "shooed" away, so they wouldn’t have to witness my reaction to such an exorbitant bill. To any one that is considering taking his or her automobile to Shea Motors, think it over twice. Only later on did I discover another Google review about Shea Motors, which contained many of the same negative experiences: no notification whatsoever on Shea Motors' behalf, shady business/customer service practices, etc. In summation, take your automobile to a different garage. The Service Department will feed you every excuse in the book to make up for their numerous faults. I can declare, with the utmost conviction, that Shea Motors in Middlebury, VT will take advantage of the customer in the end. Never again will they receive my patronage. From now on, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I truly enjoyed the experience I had with the mechanics. The one star though is because when I came to pick up my car there was a crack in the windshield, small and the owner repeatedly told my husband and I that he would take care of it. The crack got bigger and we hadn’t heard back from the dealer. Called again the owner said to turn it into our insurance and he’d deal with the deductible. Thought it was weird but our insurance called him, he denied any responsibility to the insurance and then decided to do nothing for us. By then the crack had gotten too big to be repaired. A simple crack that would have been covered by our insurance for free turned into me having to replace my window out of pocket because this owner jacked us around and failed to live up to his verbal contract. It’s too bad I really liked the mechanics here, but won’t be back since I can’t trust the owner to take responsibility for damage his shop causes. If he had been straight with us from the beginning or called us the next day and been upfront with us it would be a nonissue, but the way he handled the situation was highly shady and unprofessional.

I called about an issue that needed fixing and that the car needed an oil change (which I mentioned several times) they fixed the issue (sort of) but had no record of any oil change needed. Honestly it seems like there is great deal of communication breakdown between the customer and the company as of late which is somewhat surprising since we have been with them a long time

Went for and oil change and recall. An hour and a half later they tell me they don’t have the bolts for the recall. Seriously!!!!!! You would have thought they would have them or checked to make sure when I made the appointment. Then they wanted me to make another appointment to go back to have it done after they ordered the parts. I live 50 minutes away. No I’m not going back. I went somewhere closer and they had the parts. Not too happy with the service department Tom!!!

Salesman Bryan went of the way to find the right vehicle for me which required a swap with a distant dealer. Bryan did a great job in explaining the various new electronic systems on the SUV and made the transition from our 2008 SUV much easier to acclimate.

what a joke mechanic cant inspect my truck because the daylight running lights wont go off but once I pull it outside the lights go off, duh light sensor in dash tried to tell me it would cost $200 to get it on the computer to find my problem started poking into my harness with meter not knowing what he'd hit told him to stop, he threw my keys at me & told me to leave tried to talk to manager mr stacy, just as dumb and arrogant took it another shop to get inspected, no problems called GM about this too & field a report as well

Nice people in service department. But I'm not happy with having pay 100% to replace my radiator in my 3 year old truck . The company,and the dealer should be responsible for that. How often does a radiator leak on a 3 year old truck,with less than 100k miles. That indicates shoddy parts to me.

the service manager was very prompt in getting my car in to find the problem . once the problem was found he called me and told the issue. he also told me it was covered under my extended warrant. he helped me arrange a car to drive while mine was being fixed. the car was returned to me when it was promised. While most car dealers are pushy and want you to buy now for some special deal, denecker is different. They are patient, and want to make sure you end up with the car you want. Very low pressure sales tactics make you feel comfortable and heard through the buying process. I have bought many cars and this is the best dealership to buy from. I was SO excited to purchase my new car in 2017, but if you are a senior citizen you may want to look elsewhere. The car is a bitter disappointment, and it is virtually impossible to contact the service manager or mr denecker himself. If you have kids that can both advocate for you and are good with computers, you might be ok. If not, your car will sit for days at a time behind Denecker Motors, assuming you can get their GM roadside assistance to tow your car in. (Beware, towtruck doesn’t always show up.) Be prepared to be stranded at home for days at a time, even holidays and birthdays...”.Caveat emptor”’ especially for seniors.
