On my 3rd Subaru from this excellent dealer. Great family ( which it feels like)to be part of!

As someone who is young, newly into her first job and has little knowledge of cars, going into purchasing my first was more than intimidating. I knew that there was a very good chance of being walked all over by a car salesman who would give me unreasonable prices with little to no deals. When I had gotten to Subaru, I had just come from a more than unpleasant experience at Toyota with my parents and was losing hope of finding a car that fit my needs. Then I met Mike. He was calm, understanding, and totally flexible to our needs. He went out of his way to help get the car I wanted in and affordable range and on time. When I went to sign the papers he was a comforting presence when my parents weren't there to guide me in the right direction. He gave me direct and honest advice to help save money even if it didn't necessarily benefit him. I was so grateful to have him with me throughout the process. He was the best.

Burlington Subaru's management team is absolutely fantastic. I recently had an issue where they were in no way obligated to do anything for me, but they went above and beyond to help me out. I can't say enough good things about Steve Kelson and the rest of the staff. The Service department is also incredibly competent and efficient. I couldn't believe how fast they were, and how seamless the process was. Top-to-bottom, I've had a five-star experience with everyone in this dealership. I am infinitely grateful for what they've done for me.

Jon Allard

Nice dealership, leased a Subaru, no pressure, just good friendly environment, no dealer Horse**** will buy again from them,

Afterhours Creative

Absolutely the worst customer service & overall service - enough that we will never invest in a Subaru ever again. After attempting to contact this dealership in regards to a huge issue on their end, Will Hunter the "Service Director" was extremely rude and unhelpful. After going in person to see if we could find a resolution, we were asked to leave & to call a 1-800 number. What? They messed up our appointment on a recall (said it didn't exist when we showed up for the appointment after 5 weeks) which absolutely screwed us on selling the vehicle. I will never, ever deal with any Subarus ever again!

Heidi Booska

Great service with a smile! Phil Sheridan was a pleasure to work with and got me in a great used car! Thank you!

I brought my first subaru here. Paul Putnam is very knowledgeable about the vehicles and was not pushy or abrasive at all. Very fair pricing. See Paul.

Steve Gold

Everyone I have spoken with, including service, parts, sales, finance and the GM, were professional, friendly, competent, and quick. I am very pleased, and will soon be purchasing my 5th and 6th Subaru there. I highly recommend Burlington Subaru!

Service 5/5: Friendly, fast, helpful experiences. They patched my tire for free once. Fantastic people. Vehicles 3/5: Trendy and roomy, but without much power. Also, beware of well-known engine troubles with head gaskets and timing belts. These cars get EXPENSIVE after 100k miles. Sales 1/5: I was trying to trade in a 2010 Forrester. Paul said he'd "put a number on it". I had a deal on the table from a local garage but brought it to them because they're reputable. I didn't hear from Paul for two weeks, and he said "they're too busy to take it". Granted, the car is not in good shape (the head gasket has deteriorated at 115k miles and caused a misfire), but I took him at his word and out on another deal because of it.

Where to start - I’m writing honesty my review strictly based on service not sales team ! I bought certified Subaru Legacy less than year old from Burlington Subaru . Notice I said “ certified “ I also purchased additiona 2000$ warranty up to 100 , 000 miles . In two years I owned this Subaru I Maintained it to tee -only to discover significant orange spotting all over my white Subaru . Turn out this orange spots are Premature rust aka rail dust . Serious condition that eats away at car paint eventually turning into rust once present will always be present - but must be treated ASAP to stop from rusting away ! When I brought my Subaru back to dearship to address this issue with service department only to be told it was “ my fault “ for not buying additional warranty - and that they won’t do anything about it - also I was welcomed to pay out of pocket 500$ for Clay treatment elsewhere ( yearly requirement to keep rust off once it shows up on your car ) mind you all that money I spent on warranty and factory warranty paint isn’t covered . What kind of scam is this , that manufacturers paint won’t hold up for more than few years?! -Is this what we should expect from Subaru- to rust into bucket in 3 years ? I am completely disappointed how service department handle this or the fact the only answer I got was “ sorry “ . The fact this condition exists and appears on all light color Subaru’s is beyond me .Yes unless you pay out of pocket for yearly rust proofing on your light color Subaru’s 500-1000$ yearly treatments be prepared to have rust bucket on your hands for duration of you car loan ! What a disappointing experience. I was first and last time owner of Subaru . Thanks for blaming customers and leaving me hanging with condition on my so called newer Subaru . Buyers beware!

I was driving down Pine Street and one of the bazillion potholes bent something under my car to where it sounded like metal was dragging, but I could not see any obvious displacement (I'm not a mechanic). I took it into Subaru with no appointment and they took it out back and put it on a life right away! The found the problem and bent it back to where it needed to be. They didn't charge me, and they were super fast and friendly! I love my local Subaru :)

Nick

Not good.

Kate Cartwright

Always friendly people and excellent service! I love the complimentary cookie they leave in your car

Michael Piscitelli

I came in for an inspection. They did a pre screen walk around and said everything looked good. They then failed me for a tiny crack in my tail light, something that they really should have seen in the previous screen. Still charged me $50. I will not be returning.

John Maiden

It's worth the drive across the lake

Went here last week to have recall work done. Service desk staff did not greet me or smile. I stood there waiting for 5 minutes before someone looked up from the computer and spoke to me. Still no smile or friendliness. I go wait outside for my car to pull up. Guy stalls out twice before he got it into the parking space. Gets out and says "Sorry I'm still learning to drive standard." I got in and immediately smelled burning clutch. Great, glad I could help you learn clutch on my vehicle. Two stars because they (I assume) at least completed the recall work correctly. I would not go here again for the customer service, that's for sure.

Won’t deal at all for sales! Was ready to lease a new car- trading in my 2012 Nissan in great shape and normal miles, which still had $11,500 loan - they refused to give me any more then $7800 for the trade in value! Went to St J who paid my loan off and I got into the same car for the same price. Insane to try and negotiate with them- will waste your time over and over again. The sales guy, after I told him I was going to keep shopping, never even bothered to check in or see if I found another deal. Lost a recurring customer. I have sent three other people to ST J Subaru in the past year - all of which have bought or leased new cars.

Justin Lawliss

I loved they guy that sold me the car I bought, but the first lady I dealt with was horrible and knew nothing about the car and was mad when I did not buy a car on the spot. The service department is down right horrible. I have tried contacting the service manager several times and have been completely blown off. The only reason why this place is not getting a 1 star review is due to Mike D that sold me the Forester was awesome.

This review is directed at the parts department and their deficiencies. Recently I have had to go to the parts desk for some simple parts, parts that go to an incredibly common vehicle in Burlington. I was told this will be difficult. -As I first arrived I was told to go sit in the lobby as "this" is going to take a while. I watched the Parts Manager Nick and another gentleman debate on the availability of a tire, that is not stocked, but ordered, and not available for pick up. It was between their legs at the parts desk. - I was also told after providing my VIN that my vehicle was not an American import. When I told them I purchased it at a Vermont Dealership, I was questioned how I know. Then the VIN worked. Simply providing them with a part number does not work. They have to check your VIN and verify every digit. - At a previous visit the parts manager Nick attempted to sell me the wrong part then got defensive when I returned to purchase the right part. Saying he misspoke but I still should of order the wrong part. - They are unable to tell me what push clips go where stating I should go home try them out and come back. - After ordering parts and picking them up I received a snail mail notification that my parts where in. why? - The mark up on parts is sometimes 4 x the MSRP online. unbelievable that an $0.89 part online is $3.87 at this dealership. I have worked in parts sales, I have been maintaining vehicles for my adult life, and have never seen such an incompetently run parts department in my life.

We recently bought a 2019 Outback at Burlington Subaru in Shelburne. We were extremely happy with the experience! We worked with John Ballin, who was really superb. John is very knowledgeable and he really helped us find the features and options we were looking for. He answered all our questions well and we got a great deal. Thank you John!

Justin Cummings

Great customer service. Very flexible and Anthony was very professional. Very satisfied with my experience

Patrick Glynn

Wade help my wife and I find a car. His sales approach is great. Not annoying, not pushy, great at giving all options available. He actually helped my wife come up with a better option than we thought we had figured out. Wish all sales people were like him. Thanks Wade for the great customer service!

Amy and Neil Curtis

We recently had an excellent sales experience at Burlington Subaru. Chris Cassidy was our "spirit guide", demonstrating deep knowledge of the product, concern for our needs, and operational integrity. He truly went above and beyond to ensure we purchased the car we wanted, in an expeditious manner, without having to "settle". We unequivocally recommend connecting with Chris if you are in the market for a Subaru. We love our new Crosstrek!

Gwendolyn Mongeon

The customer service at Burlington Subaru is the best. It was my and my partners first time leasing and Tyler worked with us through absolutely everything. He made it simple, was kind, and made sure he did everything he could for us with our tight budget. Now we have a beautiful car and zero anxiety! Thanks Burlington Subaru!

The staff have always always attentive, always helpful. It is refreshing to have a dealership that plays such a positive and generous role in the community. #feelthelove

Patricia Mead-Fournier

Great service. Bought a 2019 Forester

Lindsay Quenneville

I worked with Rick Brennan at Burlington Hyundai and he was very patient and helpful. He helped me find the right vehicle for my personal and financial needs. He was understanding and knowledgeable and I appreciated his honesty.

Amanda Hall

Salesman provided excellent customer service and made buying my used car a breeze. There was a small hiccup with the quality of the tires but the manager agreed to replace.

NEALE GOW

I was in the market for a new car and the salesman was very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in. We went for a test drive which gave me a good feel for the car plus the salesman informed me about all the onboard systems. A positive experience!

Aaron Cowan

I am a 5th time repeat customer and this was no exception to the rule of greatness. Crystal and Terry made the transaction painless and super fast. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Hannah Whitham

I recently bought a Subaru forester from Burlington Subaru. I had a great experience here. Michael is the salesman who helped me; I would highly recommend contacting him! He made me feel very comfortable with this car for my family. He went out of his way to get me into the best car in my price range.

Mike

Sales team is fantastic. Wade is a great guy to deal with there! Would highly recommend going to them to buy a Subaru. 5/5 stars for this department. The Service Department is a different story which is why I gave the 2 star review... They get a 1/5 star rating at this point. I've been in there twice in the last 3 weeks. I initially went there because one of my speakers wasn't working and the stereo system cut out on me once. I decided to wait for the car to be looked at. Took almost 3 hours to diagnose that I had a blown speaker. They had to order the part which came in about a week later. I scheduled another appointment after I got that call and they couldn't get me in for another 2 weeks. Went back for my appointment, added an oil change and once again, another 3 hour wait! It shouldn't take that long to swap out a speaker and do an oil change. They washed my car which looked like they just ran water on it. Cleaned almost nothing off the car. It was just as dirty as when I brought it in. The people at the front desk in service are very nice so nothing to complain about there but the time you have to wait is insane. Make sure if you wait for your car, you bring a lot to do because you're going to wait. I saw a lot of people come and go who waited for their cars as well while I sat there. This is an area that really needs improvement. They have a huge area for servicing cars and plenty of people working.

Jake Ziemlak

I worked with Eric for a few weeks trying to find the right Subaru Outback that fit my budget. Eric was amazing, let me know when the colors I was interested in arrived at the dealership, was extremely patient and never pushed too hard, really made the experience exceptional and stress free.

Kate Vetter

Can’t say enough good things about Burlington Subaru! Working with Phil Sheridan was super easy and we got exactly what we wanted/needed quickly.

Cinder Thrane

I recently leased an Outback through Mike Dykstra. It was my first experience with Subaru and I am totally satisfied with everything. We've leased and purchased from other local dealerships but they can't even come close to the service, atmosphere and overall experience at Burlington Subaru. There are several terrific sales professionals but work with Mike Dykstra if you can. He has years of sales experience and is able to make the whole process easier and less stressful. It was such a pleasure to actually enjoy the whole process. I highly recommend Burlington Subaru, Mike, and the sporty, fun Outback.

devesh kadambari

Customer service is very bad and offending. I wouldn’t go again. Not a welcoming place for sure.

Kylie Rose

Took my Outback in for "routine" maintenance (oil change, tire change-over, etc.). Found out that the rod journal bearings were probably shot. We were in a state of panic.Do we put more money into the old car or get something new. We spoke with Crystal and she was wonderful. Crystal did all we asked of her, and more. She is very professional, friendly, honest; all the qualities one wants when buying a car. I would highly recommend Crystal to anyone seeking help/guidance in acquiring a car.

Wes Silver

Car buying process was smooth, always great service, and couldn't be happier with my new wrx three years later

James Wells

Experiences with this dealership have been mixed. I came in wanting to test drive three different models because I didn't know which one I wanted, the Crosstrek, Forester, and WRX. I was told that the WRX was not available, however there were multiples on the lot. I pointed this out to the sales representative and they let me drive it with a stern warning about joyriding. My wife has had terrible experiences with the service department, blaming her for TPMS malfunctions and treating her less than professionally at the counter. This seems to have improved over the years though. We go here out of necessity rather than willingly. We like Subarus though.

Emily Rose

Great salespeople here. No pressure, very kind, very relaxed environment. If you don't want to be pressured into making a purchase, this is a great place to visit.

emanvermont

John was very accommodating to my busy schedule at the hospital, and the purchase was very straight forward with no "hustle."

Elena Rubinetti

I worked with Mike L on my first purchase and couldn't be happier. Right from the start he was so helpful and understanding of my needs. He found a great option for me within a couple days that had everything I wanted. He even gave me a day to think it over and held the car so it wasn't posted as available (which apparently is against their policy). I thought it over and decided I wanted to back out of a certain insurance option they provided that I originally signed for and they asked no questions and quickly turned the revised paper work around. I didn't feel pressured at all, which I was really worried about being my first true car buying experience. I can say with certainty that I will remain a customer and go back for any issues I may have. I highly recommend!

Sean Hurley

Michael Dykstra makes purchasing cars super easy and stress free. Highly recommended

Abby Carbonneau

If I could give it six stars I would! Stellar service and great people! Highly recommend

Gary von Stange

Bought a Forester from Phil Sheridan this week. Phil was professional, competent and kind. And even more. The simple truth is Phil is also the best-looking salesperson in the place, not even close. His golf game is also exceptional although my partner and I beat Phil and his partner. Ha. But I recommend when you want to purchase the number one selling vehicle in Vermont, you come to see Phil Sheridan. It was truly the best new car purchase experience of my extremely long life that I have filled with Jack, cigars and golf. God bless America.

Jack Jones

Amazing experience every time. Their service department is top notch and very helpful giving options.

Two years ago I was driving my subura and my check engine light turned on. I brought it into Burlington Subaru and they told me that it was caused by "spider webs" in the charcoal canister. I had an extended warranty on the car but they said it does not cover that so they charged me for the diagnostic fee and labor. I left the dealership and the check engine light came back on immediately with the same code. This time my husband brought it in and yelled at them to change the evap canister which was covered under warranty. They did it reluctantly and the check engine light never came back. They never refunded my money from the original diagnosis. Fast forward to January of 2019-> Subaru issued a saftey recall on my car stating that the valve springs have to be replaced to avoid engine damage. I called to schedule an appointment for this and the earliest they can get it in is August of 2020! No joke! They are booking over a year and a half out for a safety recall! They are clearly hoping that people simply do not do this repair or sell the car before then. I am not sure what buying a car is like with them, but I will never have another Subaru in the family to avoid having to deal with them. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Rick Sturtevant

ASHLEY in service was AMAZING this is one of the best experiences I have ever had in any dealership.

Cody Durkin

Easy time, and not a waste of time. Eric L. on the other hand is the best salesman ever. Not only is he a great person to deal with, but makes it enjoyable in our busys days. Always willing to help, and that even after buying a car. Most people would stop getting in touch with you after you bought a car, but Eric is always happy to say hi. Checks in on you and your car. Overall very good person to work with, and hope to keep working with him in the future. Thanks Eric!

Heather Peatman

I go here for inspections as my car was purchased here (so they are free). If work needs to be done on my call to approve the inspection then they always call and ask for permission. The waiting room is pleasant and has wifi, TV and magazines.

Margaret Nelson

Michael Dykstra was helpful and supportive.

Lisa Hughes

Crystal Careau was very knowledgeable, really responsive, and she helped me find the right car (and the right deal) for me. I enjoyed working with her and would recommend her highly. She was friendly and personable. She was quick to answer all my emails, didn't pressure me, and emphasized that she would continue to answer any questions after the sale. It was my first time buying a new car and Crystal made it easy.

Lisa Meyer

Great experience working with Phil who sold me an Impreza. He goes the extra mile to make his customers satisfied!

John Lister

My recent service experience has been terrible. During a large service (it cost me about $1,800) they broke a non-critical part of my car. This was not brought up to me, I discovered it myself on my way home from the service appointment. They had forgotten to put a screw in and also broke off a plastic tab. They said they would order the part and let me know when it was in so I could bring my car back in to have it replaced. They estimated the part would arrive in 4 business days. After multiple phone calls and messages over the course of 2 weeks, I finally connected with someone who said the part hadn't been released by Subaru yet. 2 days later I got a phone call saying the part was in. I asked when I could bring my car in to have it replaced and he had to transfer me to another person. They said the best they could do was another 2 weeks out. I asked to speak to my service assistant because I was told I would be able to bring the car once the part was in. I was transferred to my service assistant and left another message. Another 4 business days go by and I haven't heard anything. I called again and was bounced around to a few different people and the "best" they could do was still a week and a half out. By the time I bring my car in again I'll have been driving around with this broken part in my car for over a month, with Burlington Subaru making zero effort to own and fix their mistake. They have been treating me in manner which screams "don't bother us, we don't care about your business nor our quality of work." In addition to this terrible customer service, how can I ever trust this service center again when they FORGOT to put a screw in. What if it was a critical component? What if I found out by means of a crash rather than pushing a button on my dash?

Kevin Patch

Went in for an extended recall, they were unable to recreate the shudder in the transmission, had to pay $70 in labor for basically nothing. I understand time is money but it was for a recall and no work was done.

Pete Wagner

This is a great dealership with an awesome bunch of people that are honest. No pushy, rude stuffy sales staff like those other sketchy car places.

al grytebust

Best place to buy a Subaru in New England

Gabriel Mantegna

Such a great service department! (Haven’t dealt with the sales team but I’m sure they’re great too) The service team was able to see me promptly (even with a morning rush of probably twenty cars being dropped off!), and they were kind, courteous and clear. They didn’t ask me to “make sure I put all 10’s on the evaluation” or anything like that, which I’ve seen other dealers do— rather, their service spoke for itself! They even washed and cleaned out my car and included a cookie.

Sara Neary

Crystal was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Friendly knowledgeable and sincere she made the whole shopping experience easy and satisfying. Left the dealership happy about my car and the price!

Kim Drury

I had a great experience with Pinhas at Burlington Subaru and getting into a Subaru Ascent. Through the whole experience I felt very welcomed and under no pressure whatsoever. The test drive was great and he was very knowledgeable about the car and the many features available. When it came time to decide on the vehicle, he went over everything in the car before I left the dealership to make sure I was comfortable pulling away. The follow up has been very welcoming too and I feel like I am not just another number but a valued customer.

Erik Bleich

We just purchased a new Outback with the excellent help of Phil Sheridan, who far exceeded our expectations in his work with us. The process was straightforward, honest, and relatively quick, and we are so happy with our new car. We have already mentioned Phil to a couple of friends, and will happily recommend him to anyone who asks about our car buying experience. Thank you, Phil!

Kathleen Rivers

It was the most pleasant car-buying experience ever.

Shannon Fortin

I had a safety recall for passenger side airbag. According to them I have cords in the way. (Nothing internal) all gadgets that plug into lighter. They want me to come in and remove it. I don't have a car...they won't take verbal permission to unplug or written as I offered. Now I have to make another appointment to get this done because someone can't unplug a car lighter.... Update** The management reached out to me and made things right. So I have to give them props for the fast response and I was able to get this done without another appointment.

Doug Reynolds

Customer service. Very rude. Called for airbag recall appointment. Told they were making appointments on the 27th. I asked if they had other days available. They hung up.

Lisa Levine

Pinhas was warm and made it possible to fit my budget.

Thom McEvoy

I've bought 6 vehicles here, but not for the friendly, knowledgeable staff. Subarus sell themselves. Always visit dealerships on a rainy or snowy day, end of the quarter and subtract at least 20% off sticker. Dealers make more on number of sales over profit margin on sales. Finally, the service area at this dealership has become one of the worst I have had to deal with, which is reason enough to consider other dealerships.

Exclusive Chels

Crystal recently helped me lease a car and she was absolutely incredible!! She was efficient and easy to work with. I will recommend her to my friends and family!! Thank you!!

Dillan Boutin

Took my 2003 Subaru Forester in for scheduled maintenance at around 100,000 miles to get my timing belt and water pump changed. They said I had a head gasket leak and it would cost $2200 for repair. Well I wasn't happy but I ponied up the dough to make sure I didn't damage the engine. I drove about 300 miles before my engine blew. Had it towed to the their shop and they said it wasn't their fault and there was nothing they could do but throw a used engine in it. They quoted me $4500 for a used engine with 80,000 miles on it. I was able to get a remanufactured engine sent over with better than OEM head gasket to a local shop who installed it for $4000. Be warned if your going to purchase a Subaru read up on their issues and if you need to get work done on a vehicle go to a reputable local mechanic that makes their money fixing cars not selling new ones.

K. Barrera

If you're looking for a Subaru, this dealership was great. My salesman was Michael Dykstra. I knew my budget and what I wanted, and he did an amazing job helping me find exactly what i needed. I was moving for my job on short notice from NYC where I didn't need a car, to VT (where I definitely did!) and I literally had only 4 days to find a car. Michael was so helpful (and never pushy!) It was more like having a trusted friend with me to make this big decision. It's been a year since I bought my Outback and I'm still happy!

Stephen Ranney

Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable staff. Very willing to help with a low pressure environment.

Timothy Tomko

Bought my car here and giving them my business was a mistake. Not because it’s a bad car, I love my Subaru and the price was good. It has to do with the employees. The level of customer service is horrendous. Not to mention that they’re always booked 1-2 months out for oil changes or general services. Being in Burlington, Vt they have plenty of people coming in the door spending money so they don’t feel the need to be polite or overly accommodating. If you have a choice, stay away from this place...

Stephen Ahearn

I had a air bag recall recently, I came back to my car to find all the contents from my center console thrown all over the back seat and back floor.....who does that??? Nice and respectful. Never was I asked to clear ANY compartments out so they could be accessed. NEVER again. No 3rd time for this family

Needing Room

These guys are easy and fun to talk to. They care about getting you exactly what you need for the best deal. They don't treat you like luggage that has to be attended, but as actual waiting customers that have questions and wants. Apart from having great cars and friendly staff, they're management is great! Other places like Nissan just make you wait and wait without telling you anything. These guys are the complete opposite!

nice nice

I am extremely happy

James Cardillo

I went in to ask about the airbag recall and first person I see and ask for directions to the service department is a sales person who ties to sell me a new car because it could take a year to get the part. I get to service department and speak with representative that tells me I should get a call next Monday (it's Thursday) about getting in the next Thursday or Friday...And doesn't mention that I can get a rental until then...I get no call, I go back the next Thursday, to the same person, who then explains it could be another week or two or a month. So I ask about getting a rental, she asks if it was something I set up when I ordered the part! I explain that it was never offered and that I need a car if I can't get it fixed ASAP. She goes in back, come out 2 minutes later and says the have the part for another person that hasn't shown up yet and that they could squeeze me in...my car was fixed in 50 minutes.

I bought a vehicle here a year ago with the extended warranty for three years. The first month my brakes scream at me every time I apply them. Less than a year down the road I'm already replacing ball joints in the front and need new tires. Unfortunately for me the warranty only covers parts not labor; also the service center never finds what is wrong with my vehicle. If I had to guess it is because it is attached to the dealership. This altogether has cost me a mini fortune and I'm extremely disappointed with the service and quality of thier products. I will never buy another vehicle from this place again and will continue to let people know not to shop here as long as I live. I miss the days when customer service meant something. I used to work in many retail establishments and never post anything because of the harmful nature and negative impact reviews can have, this has been my one exception. I am only posting because I pray that no one else is forced to suffer the way these people have made me suffer.

Sara Aulis

Great service. Tyler very helpful and pleasant.

Frida

I've had my Crosstrek serviced in Virginia, Nebraska, California and now Vermont. Burlington Subaru was the only service center who did not include a basic safety check of my vehicle. I was scheduled for an oil change and I had not specifically requested a safety check because that is normally included. Just not at Burlington Subaru.

Vernon Michael Hutchings

Always a great experience.

Enrique Shockwave

If I could give a zero start review I would. Purchased a used impreza with 50,000 miles from them in feb of 2018. Immediately after purchase I had to take it back 3 times in order to correct horrible shaking after driving over 50 MPH. Finally on the third visit, after waiting a while, they completed the alignment on my car. While walking out to my car to finally leave, I noticed someone had backed into something or someone else had backed into my car, large scuff in the middle of the rear bumper. After informing the staff of this, they let me know they were not accountable for anything that happens in the parking lot. I WAS ONLY THERE BECAUSE THEY DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE THE FIRST TWO TIMES. Fast forward to April 2019, barely a year past purchase. I begin to feel a binding/clunking noise after operating the car for longer than 30min at a time. Turns out that the middle differential/viscous coupler is shot and will need replacement, somewhere in the 600-1000+ range depending on the shop. The car now has only 64,000 miles on it. In less than 15,000 miles I am already running into a huge issue with the car. On top of that, I am also informed by my mechanic that while looking into this issue, that a small laundry list of other issues will need to be taken care of including but not limited to replacing rusting brake lines. In short, they sold me a ticking time bomb with a smile on their face. I do not have enough money to cover these continued issues (only reason I purchased a car with low miles was to avoid such issues) on top of the car payment. I called and left a message for the service manager explaining what had happened and hoping they could maybe help me out on the parts side (hoping they could at least let me pay factory cost without mark up). THEY NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. This place is a joke and they will not be receiving my business any further. To think that I planned on trading this car in and purchasing a new subaru from them in the next 2-3 years would be laughable if I wasn't so aggravated. Guess they don't need my money!

They always treat me well, very nice to do business with.

Bought 2 cars here and get regular service. Excellent personnel and care. Lance is a warm and helpful salesperson, really aided our first time car buyer (and second time) car buyer experiences.

Nathan Kristoff

Two cars waiting in line at the gas station next to the dealership. One of their salespeople comes flying in like a bat out of hell and skips both of us while driving a car advertising their business. If this is their behavior in public imagine their business practices. I'd never shop here.

Dora Sudarsky

I did not do the actual car buying in this case - my boyfriend did all that and I know he was happy. What really inspired me to write a review is this... I was at work and couldn't get the car before they closed. I was going to have to leave work early to get it and I called to see if they could have everything ready for me. I was thrilled when Phil offered to just bring the car to my work! Just perfect! That made life way easier. Thanks, Phil!

Burlington Subaru rocks! Everyone that I've dealt with here has been extremely friendly! They are very attentive to your needs and they don't try to push or force sales and services on you. The prices for the basic services are reasonable. I needed a 24k mile check up. I used their express service bay; I got in and got out within 1 hour having no appointment. They respected that I had already changed my oil and oil filter and cabin air filter so they didn't push any of those services. I bought my oil oil filter, Crush Washer, and air filter here for market prices for OEM parts. The guys in the parts department are very helpful and friendly to boot. As a bonus when you are waiting for your service to be done there was a nice waiting area in the main lobby with comfy seats and free snacks. Bonus points for having Chobani yogurt. I have no complaints and nothing but good things to say about my experience here.

I LOVE MY NEW SUBARU!! Phil helped get me into a brand spankin new 2017 Impreza and my dog and I both love it! Easiest shopping experience of my life and I'll gladly drive back up to Burlington from Boston for my next car just to get it from these guys!

Andrea Cerrilla

This was my first time buying a car and Michael made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable. Zero pressure, super friendly and easy-going. I highly recommend this spot!

Brought my car in for a recall and had them do an inspection as well. They came up with a $2000 list of issues that they claimed needed to be fixed. I took it to a reputable local mechanic, who found ~$500 of work needs to be done to pass inspection. This was the service department, so I don't know how their sales department is. I have never bought a car from them, and I am sure I never will.

I purchased the vehicle and within hours of my late Saturday purchase I realized that trim model did not have certain elements I needed to drive the car safely at night. Including an inability to easily read the speed at night due to the red backlight of the speedometer. I happened to see the financing person on Sunday (dealership is closed that day) and mentioned I would be in first thing Monday to remedy this..likely by getting a higher trim model. He said he would let the salesman know to expect me. On Monday morning, I arrived and was told that although paperwork hadn't been submitted yet they couldn't help me upgrade. I was willing to pay the difference in price with cash but was never given the opportunity. The Salesman said he didn"t know what to do and the sales manager asked which car I wanted instead. I told him. He returned and said that car was under deposit. He made no attempt to check the inventory to see what else was possible. He offered to upgrade my mirrors (rearview and sides) to auto dim with homelink at the dealerships expense. At this point I was stuck with a car that didn't work for me. The Sales Manager was scowling and making it clear that he was throwing a bone to get me to leave. I agreed to the upgrade and left very upset that I was stuck with the car. I was later called to bring the car in for the new mirrors. Not only did they not replace the side mirrors as promised I was not given homelink on the new rearview mirror. At this point it is clear that Burlington Subaru is interested in the sale but not customer satisfaction. I will not have my car serviced here. I will never buy a car from them again and I will encourage anyone buying a Subaru to purchase from any other dealer.

This is a review about the excellent service provided by Burlington Subaru on my car two days ago. Kudos for having the drop-in oil change service!!!! Excellent customer care and extremely effective work. The children play area was a major plus for my son. If I lived in VT, you would have my business every time. Thank you!!!

I've never had a good experience with this dealership- both with sales and servicing. Its disorganized.

Anton Kelsey

I had to bring my Subaru in to Burlington Subaru because of a few different recalls, including the airbag recall. I could not have had a more terrible experience. There were many reasons, but the most ridiculous was that I was put in charge of finding my own parts when the dealer could not locate them for a scheduled repair. I scheduled the recall appointment more than a month out, and when I brought the vehicle in they did have the part to complete the work. If they didn't have the part for a known recall appointment, why was I not notified? They insisted the part would not be in for 6 months, but that if I tried to get the part myself things would go faster. After nearly daily phone calls with different Subaru parts dealers I located my own part. I have never been responsible for getting my own parts for repairs by a mechanic or service department in my life. Ridiculous. In addition to all of this, the lack of communication, lack of respect for the customer, inability to finish the work in the timeline that they proposed (both times the car went in they kept the car for an extra day as the work did not get completed when they said it would), inappropriate service charges and lack of follow through were all sub par. In short, if you are considering Burlington Subaru for service, go elsewhere. A previous reviewer stated that the culture there seems "shady" and I agree. They are terrible.

Miri Scarpino

Burlington Subaru is fantastic! We just bought our 3rd car in a year there! The sales and service teams are fantastic. Ask for Phil!

Janelle Gilbert

Thank for your quick wiper fix and tire pressure adjusting this cold and snowy day.

kyle brown

Happy with every experience I've had here so far, from buying my car which I love driving and service has been quick and reasonable.

I bought a car from there last year and when I went to get an alignment I watched my car the entire time sitting in the same spot for an hr, finally a mechanic came and tooky car in...but brought it back litterally 10 mins later (alignments take longer), any who I brought the car back the next day because of the extreme pulling, the mechanic told me that it must have slipped off the machine. Fast forward a year later and a brand new lease vehicle, I went in yesterday to get an oil change and tire rotation, this time i marked the tires to see if they truly rotate my tires, $120 later and my car was ""done"", lol NOT, MY TIRES WERE NEVER ROTATED

Ann Ely

Very professional, friendly and helpful. Work was done quickly. Comfortable waiting area with cooffe and snacks available. There are actually 2 waiting areas - one with a t.v. and one without. Perfect.

Eric Langlois

Excellent service. Needed a new transmission on my Subaru. They took care of it quickly and appropriately.

Bill Dion

I had a noise In my transmission when it was under warranty and the machine that's the higher up said it was nothing at this time. So I had a friend that works on transmission pull it out and the rear bearing set were making noise and needed to be replaced. I was going to buy a new STI because I like the car but warranty always needs to go through Subaru America to see if things are under warranty when it is under the miles and under the years for warranty. Good way to loose business

Jess Hachigian

Chris Cassidy was an absolute pleasure to work with. For being a first time buyer he took all of the intimidation out of the process and actually listened to you. I bought my first Subaru yesterday and couldn't be any happier pulling out of there without any second thoughts. Thanks Chris!

Suzanne Ramazani

This review is specifically for the service department. Unfortunately, I had a very negative (3 hour) experience today and will not be bringing my Suburu in again. A "free state inspection" is not free (customers beware) and I was told a very minor issue would be $500, which is outrageous (my mechanic charged MUCH less). In addition, the level of unprofessionalism and lack of customer service was pretty astounding specifically with regard to how Ashley Lackard (service associate) handled herself. There are times when you accept feedback, rather than rehash an issue and continue to argue at a customer, something that she may not yet have learned in customer service. I highly recommend bringing your car for service elsewhere. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. There are places that don't take advantage of its own customers.

Ana Roach

Had such a great experience with Burlington Subaru! We would highly recommend them and will be purchasing our next car there!

Susan Robertson

I am very pleased with my purchase and experience at Burlinton Subaru. John Ballin was very pleasant, knowledgable about the vehicles and did not pressure me into a sale.

Christopher Brady

We had a great experience with Phil Sheridan. He helped us find the right car without any pressure and went then went the extra mile to make us happy. Thank you!

Zoe Fleming

I bought my first car from Burlington Subaru and I was a little nervous to say the least. I worked with Phil Sheridan and he went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and was determined to find the right car that I was looking for. He made the whole process less stressful and focused more on finding a car I loved and was excited to own. If you come to Subaru go to Phil, his upbeat and laid back energy will make you feel that someone really cares.

Daniel Chahine

The team at Burlington Subaru was more helpful than I could have imagined. ✅ Shout out to Steve, the GM, for going the extra mile.

Anna Maynard

I love my new Impreza that Phil helped me with. He was super straight forward and down to earth. It was a pleasurable experience all around.

Dennis Gebhardt

Great service staff

Mixed feelings about this dealership. I went in to look at a 2016 Impreza sport with 20K miles, the initial asking price was $20000. I offered 17,500 based on the market value of the car from multiple websites. They told me this was not even a possibility and the most they could negotiate was a “couple hundred off the asking price”. I just saw that the same car sold for $17,500 about two months later! Luckily, I already found a better deal. It also seems like they constantly push unnecessary repairs onto you. I brought my old car in to a different mechanic for a second look and out of the several repairs they wanted to make, just two were legitimate. Overall, not too impressed.

Alexander

Amazing dealership, performed a TSB for my car (rusted control arms) even though the car was 15 years old!! No cost to me, and I got a sweet cookie!

christine brown

Anthony Notaro was a knowledgeable, sincere salesman who made our car buying experience enjoyable and easy. We did not feel any pressure to buy. Anthony gave us just the right amount of information and attention, without being overbearing or forceful. We highly recommend using him for your next Subsru purchase!

Ashley Mary

I decided to go with Burlington Subaru to buy & install winter tires. They didn't order them in on time, had to wait forever for an appt to install, they tried to jack up the price over and above the quote, and were rude when I declined to pay extra. They tried to convince me to trade down to a no name brand tire that the parts salesman said "was probably made in a Chinese prison camp," rather than honor the quoted price on a better brand of tire. Then the actual install took double the amount of time than they told me. Would not recommend this dealership for anything.

Claire Cohen

Extremely friendly, genuine, and accommodating. The salesman, Phil, went above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible for me, even when faced several logistical hurdles. I never doubted he was giving me his honest opinion -- not to mention, I got a really good deal.

Cristine Selvidio

I wish zero stars was an option. Awful service. This dealership is full of the stereotypical car dealers trying to play hard ball. The manager was condescending and belittling, insinuating that my husband and I didn’t understand math (we are both professionals, husband has his masters degree). My family and I walked out certain we would never buy anything from them. If you’re into the fight of negotiating with sleazy car salesmen who enjoy gaslighting then this is your place.

Barney Matthews

I bought a new Crosstrek from Lance at Burlington Subaru. He was helpful, patient and not pushy at all. He made my car buying experience stressfree. I would wholeheartedly recommend both Lance and Burlington Subaru.

Matt luce

You will not find a better subaru dealer. Friendly and knowledgable staff, top notch service!
