I bought a Brand New 2019 Honda Fit for 802 over the weekend. My experience started very well. 802 offered me a fair value for my trade. We started negotiating a price for the new vehicle and I was provided the invoice showing what the dealer paid for the vehicle which made negotiating quick and easy. 802 alo gave me a fair % off of the service contract. They customized it to meet my needs as a high mileage commuter. Unfortunately the reason I am giving a 3 star review is small one, however small it is something that I just cant let go. After purchasing my vehicle I went to drive home and noticed there were no floor mats. I was informed that my car was a low end model that didnt include floor mats (after I made the purchase). I promptly went to walmart and bought a set which I had to cut to "fit" my vehicle. I went back to 802 and asked for floormats and was provided the same 20 dollar mats that I bought from walmart to tide me over. When Buying a Brand new vehicle I believe it is reasonable to expect that the vehicle comes with custom fit floormats. As I now have to spend an extra 2-300 dollars on floormats I did not expect, my advice to 802 is provide customers with the custom floormats upon purchase of a new vehicle. aside from the floormat issue I would give 802 5 stars for my experience. It is a shame that a small issue like this casts a shadow over my car buying experience. 802 responded the same day of this review and I appreciate them providing the floormats that I requested. Thank you guys for leaving a now happy customer:)

After many frustrating experiences, as I was just about to give up, I gave 802 Honda a try, and glad I did. I was beginning to think that all the dealerships were going to give me the same song and dance. Not 802 Honda. Christine was my contact. We did a lot of our transacting over the phone. There are plenty of other dealerships around that will work for your business, rather than laugh you off and refuse to negotiate. Don't believe their "certified" cars. Test drove a certified 2013 Honda Pilot with 3 chips in the front windshield one of which was starting to spider. Item number 144, of their Honda Certified Used Cars 150 point Inspection Checklist lists: 144. Windshield/Glass (Cracks, chips, scratches, pitting) If they missed that, consider what else they might have missed. Buyer Beware

When I saw the other review I just had to chime in with my 2 cents. I changed to this dealership after moving out of the Burlington area. I was also dissatisfied with the Honda service in Shelburne. I have had great service from the 1st time going here. There are pretty prompt in returning the car when promised. No problems with the work done and I've had more done here than at the previous dealer where I did have an issue with some work. The service people are great, they call you by name and I feel very comfortable going here. I trust them very much and I'm extremely picky about who works on my car.

Andy Talbert was instrumental in helping us locate our new CR-V. We have purchased several new vehicles over the years and this was one of the smoothest and most straightforward transactions we have experienced. Andy helped us locate the vehicle that we wanted and in concert with Eric Bashaw, we reached an agreement swiftly. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and helpful. Dan Demar helped us to finalize our sales paperwork, and he very enthusiastically described the warranty coverages available, but we declined and that one part of the process could have been shortened in my opinion. I cannot comment on the financing process, since we did not require those services and no trade-in vehicle was part of the deal. After the paperwork was completed, our new vehicle was waiting—freshly washed and immaculately clean inside and out. Andy went through the vehicle to make sure we were aware of all the features and again told us to contact him anytime with questions. If we lived closer to Berlin, I would definitely have our new vehicle serviced at 802 Honda. Andy has contacted us several times since to make sure that we are still satisfied with our vehicle. This dealership is appalling. They are absolutely wonderful when it comes to selling you a car, but don't expect to hear back about any maintenance. I've tried to use an additional warranty I purchased through them for multiple issues. They either don't return my calls, or they make it very difficult to have any work done. (A super simple seat repair was going to take at least three visits.) To add insult to injury, my lease is almost over, and I'm now getting emails twice a week and calls every other week about buying or leasing another car from them. Apparently they have time to make new sales, but they don't have time service products they've already sold. I find this completely unprofessional, and bordering on sleazy.

He is a very nice person with a great sense of humor who patiently showed us the features of the car and took us out for a test drive. The service team always treats me well. I never get talked into unnecessary services or pushed for work to be done. They allow you to make your own choices for what you want done to your vehicle, and have saved me a lot of frustration and money in the past. 10+ years of doing business with this team and I've never had any problems. In comparison- I've dealt with 2 other dealerships for my Honda's services in the past and both tried to con me into hundreds of dollars worth of work within the first or second visit, only to find out that the issues I apparently had with my car weren't even existent. 802 Honda (or Town and Country Honda, as I will always remember them) is the best and friendliest, most honest dealership in central VT.

I have been a customer of 802 Honda for 11 years, and I have a wonderful experience every time I work with them (extensively, since my '06 Accord is getting a bit road-weary). I work mostly with Caleb in the service department, and he and the mechanics (who are also all knowledgeable and thorough) work tirelessly to get my car back on the road as quickly and safely as possible- no pun intended? :) Additionally, though I haven't purchased a car from this dealership (yet), every salesperson I have dealt with has been kind, helpful, and most importantly, not pushy. I highly recommend 802 Honda for all your vehicle needs. I am only sad that they now charge for courtesy vehicles if you cannot wait with your car or drop it off during service visits- this has always been a huge help for me since I live so far away and work 2 jobs, and often have to leave my poor beater of a car for multiple days.


Horrible experiences! A very outdated dealership. In the past few services we had done I discovered charges for things I specifically asked them not to do and other charges they claim they did but, noticed afterwards weren't actually done, but charged for...(credited back after I questioned) Tough finding a trustworthy mechanic these days...

I would do 4.5, but it's not an option so I'll round up. No where is perfect and buying a car is overwhelming sometimes. I wasn't a fan at first of this place, but the more time I spent there the more respect I had for them. I did my homework first, before going in, and I'm sure that helped, but they worked with me and stayed almost an hour past close just to get me what I wanted. Definitely give them a big thumbs up. The service department at 802 is rocking it! Special thanks to Todd. I felt like a Car Talk commercial describing the sounds I was hearing after pothole season. They thoroughly checked out my car, made a few repairs (replaced both front wheel bearings!) and the sound persisted. Long story short--NO CHARGE AT ALL because they couldn't find the ultimate issue without tearing out the entire engine and transmission, which for my 2010 Civic with 148k miles wasn't worth it. I trust their service department. I used to go to another Honda dealer in Vermont. Mileage-wise that dealer is closer, but the drive to 802 Honda is only a few minutes longer. I had a problem with the seatbelt. The other dealer made a small repair to correct the symptom. 802 Honda service technicians addressed the underlying problem. They also said it’s under warranty.

I brought my wife's 10 year old Honda Civic in because the air conditioning stopped working. Although 802 Honda is going through a significant renovation right now, the staff was responsive and very communicative. They informed me of everything that they would do an Associated cost. Unfortunately, after they fixed the compressor clutch the condenser developed a leak. They were quite apologetic even though it was clearly not there fault and offered to replace the condenser free of labor charge.

This is really Lise DeLeon I am leasing a 2018 Honda Clarity from 802 Honda. I love it. The experience was terrific, my salesperson is Carol Tener she knows everything about the Clarity ! She delivered the car to me in Maryland and gave me and my husband driving lessons ! I love being able to plug it in at night in our garage. I have driven 1000. miles and have not purchased 1 gallon of gas !!! Hurray !!! Great dealership, great salesperson !! great car !!! I call contact Carol anytime if I have any additional questions or concerns, and she is right there to help me out ! Fantastic. ! She told me I would get more electric miles in warmer weather, and I sure do ! this morning it registered 57 miles !
