Ok so it's now June 22nd. Our car went in May 14th for a water pump and a belt. STILL NOT READY !!!!!!!! HOW F@&#%@&@ LONG DOES THAT TAKE!!!!!!! Customer service after you have purchased a vehicle is non existent Most recently, on May 14th our car was towed to the dealership where still to this day (June 4th) they have ordered parts but haven't told me the problem with car, can't give me a time frame of when the car will be fixed, and most important haven't offered me a loner or found out if my warranty will cover a rental. I have asked numerous times and they answer that they will find out and call me. The next time I hear anything from them is when I call asking the same question. And of course I'm told they don't have a loner right now. Not only did I buy one car last year from them, I bought two cars from them. You would think my business would be more important to them than to leave people stranded for this long. Never been more disappointed with a business
We went in recently looking for an Escape with a pretty low budget. The very first and only car I was shown was more than DOUBLE my budget. Whenever we first got there I specifically told him that we were wanting to look at a SE but would probably end up having to settle for an S and we were ONLY shown an SEL. He didn’t ask if I had a bank in mind or if I had already been pre approved but basically told me “you didn’t tell me that” even though he never asked. We live about 90 miles from Gilmer & were told “we will make it worth it for you”. He didn’t sit down directly with me and discuss rebates or prices with me he went across the hall and then just came back with sheets of paper saying “this is what you’re approved for and this is as low as we can get it for you” & when I was trying to figure out what the qualifications were for the rebates he never gave me a specific answer other than “the qualifications are all over the place they’re pretty strict; your hair might need to be a different color or something crazy like that” and he barely knew anything about me so I’m not sure how he knew enough to know if I qualified for everything? And after we told him that we couldn’t afford the SEL he asked me “how do you feel about an S?” That tells you right there than he never listened to a word I said for the BEGINNING. He absolutely knew that with my budget I was not going to be able to afford a $30,000 car and still wasted my time and his trying to sell it to me. I left very confused and unhappy. Will NOT be doing business with them.

BUYER BEWARE- 1 Star because Zero wasn’t an option. After shopping for a car online for my daughter we thought we found the perfect car in Gilmer Texas .We called the store and made a deal with the sales manager .After securing financing with my credit union the next day we decided to drive out the Stanley Ford Gilmer . After Driving for two hours and sitting in the show room floor of the dealership I finally get back to the Finance department . Once they realized I wouldn’t buy there aftermarket products and warranties they tried to be SHADY by raising my interest rate by 2% with my own bank. The stating that they would give me the my own Bank quoted if I Paid $500 more. I have personally worked in the AUTO industry for over 25 years and the LACK of professionalism and organization is appalling. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE . SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND FRUSTRATION.

Some truely friendly people. Some not. One service "advisor" lied to my wife about our air filter being stopped up l, just to make a sale. I asked her to bring the old one home. Nothing was wrong with it. I even took it back up there to compare to a new one. When I asked the service manager about it, he apologized, but my money was already spent on the filter and they did not offer to refund my money. I also heard from a mechanic that while they were pulling it my truck into the shop, they hit another truck with mine, I did not find this out until months after it happened, I guess they didn't feel the need to tell me, since there was no damages to my truck. The sales team does not want to make deals that help people. They want to make deals that hurt people but help the dealership. The last two (2) time I have tried to make a deal there I have been either lied to about the vehicle I was interested in or they have been over $5000 higher than surrounding dealers. I am not impressed. The parts guy is the only guy there that I like.
I purchased a vehicle and things went smooth. I had some issues with a driver side headlight. They offered to replace it which sounded great and simple . So they found a headlight that turned out to be broken. So it's going on 2 months and all I hear is that they can't find one. I have to call every single time just to get an update. I know I'm not the only one in the world with this vehicle.

Called to verify vehicle was available and confirm internet price. Made an appt to test drive the next day. Drove 1.5 hours to test drive and planned on purchasing. When we sat down to discuss the price, it had been changed to $1,100 more. They would not honor the internet price I confirmed the day before. Sales manager said prices can change day to day. I found it online again and saw on the price history the price had been lowered 4 times in a month and then for some reason on the same date I had scheduled my appt, the price had been changed back to the highest asking price. Dishonest sales manager. Liar, liar pants on fire. Where we come from, you can judge a man or a business by his word and this dealships word is not worth nothing.
I placed my (for lack of a better word) for my new SUV on Wednesday September 12th and picked up my brand new Ford Escape Titanium yesterday afternoon. I am SO HAPPY!!! From the minute I walked in I felt comfortable. NO PRESSURE selling. Jimmy Isanhood was my sales associate. He listened to every thing I wanted in my new vehicle, we discussed every detail. He answered every question completely. Again NO PRESSURE!! Jimmy was professional, respectful, friendly, and honest. When I was completely satisfied with the outcome of our deal I spoke with Amber on Wednesday afternoon to start the paperwork, the final singing would be when I saw the SUV, (It had to come from Waco). On Thursday morning Tripp Watkins called to give me an update about the arrival of my new baby.. I was so happy when go got to Stanley Ford and saw it for the first time. I was speechless (which you can tell by my long review, is most unusual for me). Tripp and I went over all the paperwork and signed the contract. Then after all was taken care of, Aaron went over all the new features and upgrades of the new Titanium model. My previous escape had a lot of bells and whistles, but my new baby had even more I drove away from the dealership with a smile on my face that has not gone away!!! Thank you ALL for making my experience such a pleasant, and happy one! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

“If you want a dealership that doesn’t respect your time, come to Stanley Ford in Gilmer!!” Thank you for wasting our time today. Made an appointment ahead of time, and confirmed the morning of the appointment. Drove over an hour to our appointment and sales rep wasn’t even available and tried to pawn us on someone else. New rep made no small talk, built no rapport, seemed only interested in a test drive of our appointment car. Then that sales rep couldn’t even get into the car we made an appointment to see. Something about key fob was dead and didn’t have a physical key or something. Then offered to show us a similar vehicle, sure, we’ll look at it. We asked for more information about the similar vehicle, sales rep left and came back to tell us that it wasn’t available. Why tell us about it then? Severely disappointed in our awful experience, we then asked about our vehicle that we planned on trading in and it’s value. He responded with ‘our manager doesn’t like us to value trade ins when a car is not selling.’ WE CAME TO BUY A CAR, MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR IT, AND LEFT WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT ANYTHING! Didn’t show us any cars, not even a tour of the parking lot. Heck, we gave ourselves a tour after the poor excuse of a sales experience.
This is the best dealership I have ever been too. Bought my car there and have them keep it serviced. They are all about customer service. Customers come first. I drive a long way for them to help me when I need it.

Their service department is a joke. They do not take care of their customers. We have tried several times to have something fixed and they still haven't taken care of it, even after a year. They keep dragging their feet until our warranty will not cover. When getting oil changes they overcharge. They try to charge their customers for nitro fill even though we already had nitro in the tires. They even said they put new caps on and charged us for it, but they clearly did not. I tried not to do business with them anymore because of their serious lack of customer support and appreciation, but my husband insisted on still doing business locally. Unless they have a big change in the way they conduct business, I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere for my service needs.
I was hesitant to even go into the dealership due to my finances but I'm so glad I did. Tripp got me a awesome, affordable monthly payment and the team was friendly and helpful!

WOMEN BEWARE: I bought new tires for my Ford truck and needed to have it aligned, so I took it to Stanley Ford thinking it would be a simple thing. I dropped it off on a Friday morning early and they said it would be ready by lunch. I went over after lunch to pick it up, but it still wasn't ready. After a few minutes, the service tech brought me the keys and had the mechanic come out to tell me that he couldn't get the steering wheel centered. He said I would need to bring it back to have the camber and castor on the right front tire replaced, but they would have to order the parts. I asked the mechanic to explain what that meant exactly and he gave me an explaination that was pretty unsatisfactory. However, I wanted a ballpark figure as to what it would cost to repair it including labor. He said roughly $600-$700. I knew I would need a second opinion and planned on having that done. They said they would call me on Monday and set up an appointmen to look at it and see what would need to be ordered, etc. I waited for a call on Monday and didn't get one, so I called them that afternoon. They said they were busy and would call me back. I didn't hear back from them by Tuesday, so I called and got the same story. I didn't hear from them for a week, so I just took my truck to another place. In fact, I got two opinions from mechanics and they both told me, independently, that there was nothing wrong with my truck. Further, unless there is real damage to the front end, you don't order castors and cambers, but just adjust them. The icing on the cake is that both mechanics told me that the Ford place NEVER DID THE ALIGNMENT. In fact, one place told me that they don't even have the machine that does alignments, and take it to another local business for all their tire work and alignments. While I was sitting in this place waiting on the real alignment to be done, the service rep from Stanley Ford came in to pick up a vehicle from them that they just finished with. I went back to Stanley Ford to get my money back and spoke with the Service Manager. He was not arguementative but also didn't ask the service tech or mechanic any questions or why this happened. I asked for my money back, which they refunded then, however, I was lied to and feel like they all were in on this scam together. I also feel like this is standard business practice. At the very least, I got the feeling that this kind of thing happens routinley and the Service Manager knows it's just easier to refund money and go on with business as usual. He even asked me if I would consider doing business with them again..... What do you think?

Discussed a deal with them on the phone. They told me one amount and after driving from Longview there they told me another amount. They straight up lied to me. Wont be back. Would not honor what we had discussed on the phone. Only wish there was a zero star rating because that's what they deserve.

We just bought a 2012 F150 Ecoboost from Stanley Ford and couldn't have had a better experience. Tim was patient and very helpful with my family and I, a family of 5.....just Awesome! Amber also helped us get a low interest rate and very comfortable monthly payment! I would recommend this place to anyone who's in the market for a Good Looking, Clean and Affordable Vehicle! Initially they were great. Not even pushy. Even recommending to test drive what you want to buy. However, I soon found out that they are not good at keeping their word, appointments (cancelling 15 mins before) just to tell you they just sold the car that you have been waiting to test drive for 3 days and this appointment was the first available time to test drive the car. I have never had a business be so sly and disappointing. On top of it all, they still thought we would come back and buy. Who wants to eat at the same place that you got food poisioning from?!
I have been thinking about purchasing a car for several months now. With my last experience with a dealership being super disappointing, I was reluctant. I know that Stanley Ford has been in Gilmer for as long as I can remember and they are small enough to get to know you and large enough to get you what you want. I worked with Iva and it was a great experience. There was nothing on the lot that I could not live without so we went to her office and explored the inventories at their other location. After I found the car I HAD to have - SHE made it happen. She arranged (and fought for) the financing, she had the car transported to Gilmer, she made sure there was a bumper to bumper "check-up" and she made sure that if there was anything that even MIGHT go wrong, it was taken care of. They did end up having to order a part and Iva made sure that I had great loaner vehicle to use while we waited. This is by far the best car buying (new or used) experience I have had! It ended with her handing me the keys to my fully fueled and detailed SUV - I couldn't have asked for better service!
The way every Ford dealership should operate in my opinion. I contacted Jimmy here after I had been burned after wasting 4 hours driving one way to Dallas. It took me the same amount of time to get to Gilmer, but it was definitely worth it. No games, no nonsense, simply a straight forward process. Price was great as well. They treat you the way they'd want to be treated if they were on the other end of the car buying/sales experience. Sadly too few dealers operate this way anymore. Next vehicle I buy, if it's a Ford, I'll definitely be calling these guys.
Their service dept is not only professional but probably the nicest folks you will ever deal with. They have worked with us in a very caring and genuine manner concerning a very unique starting problem with our car
GET IT IN WRITING! If you want keys to come with you car, get it in writing that keys will be included. How many keys, the brand of keys, date the keys will be provided by, everything. They say one thing, then turn around and do something else. They charge you full price and provide half the quality. Never again.
Purchased a new car from Stanley Ford in late 2017 everyone was very friendly. A year and a half later I was employed by a law firm. When I mentioned the amount of my car payment to one of the partners he was was surprised and asked to see my paper work. After he reviewed it I realized I was paying more than twice the amount I should have with unexplained fees and an outrageous interest rate. If you shop at Stanley Ford I advise take a lawyer with you to negotiate the purchase.
