I am now on my second vehicle being serviced at Philpot, and although I have not purchased from there, I will continue to have my vehicle and any future vehicle serviced there. I have always been treated very well by my service writer Tabitha McCrae. She is the only service writer I will use, because she has always taken the time to communicate clearly about the needs of my truck, she has been honest and up front, and continues to provide friendly service.

This was my first time having my car serviced by Philpott. When I drove up, there was one car ahead of me, the technician didn't hesitate, he came immediately. On the inside, customer service was the friendliest. The customers that were waiting were chatting, smiling, and enjoying the wait. I had taken my car to another Ford dealer six times and the problem was never discovered, even after paying over $500. For me, right now, Philpott is the spot.

My husband and I were referred by family to a certain salesman at Philpott and bought a used vehicle less than 2 weeks ago (our first time purchasing from a dealership). After deciding we wanted this specific vehicle, the trouble began. We had pre-approval through our credit union (which was known from the beginning) but were asked by this salesman to fill out a credit app and after I questioned what it was for, I was told that the manager needed it to send to the credit union. I refused to fill out the application as my credit union has the information they needed and the salesman proceeded to snatch the papers out from in front of us and stomp out of the office across the dealership, slamming doors and drawers. Needless to say, I didn’t get a “thank you for your business” or anything from that point forward from the salesman. To add to it, the car started giving me electrical trouble about 3 days ago. We have an appointment to HOPEFULLY get this issue solved in a timely manner as this is our primary vehicle. This has been one of the most stressful experiences we’ve gone through and I will be glad when it is all over, if it ever ends.

I found the truck I was hunting after a lengthy internet search. Most of the details for the purchase were sorted by the time I walked in the door. There were a couple "extras" on the invoice that I did not want and they came off without a fight. Such a different experience than other dealers that will not let you pull them off even if they are bogus and un needed. The team at Philpott was able to beat my financing I already had in hand and worked well past hours to have me out the door with my truck. I have bought a number of new vehicles in the past and this was by far the best and easiest. Thanks Brunsen and Josh!

I took my Ford Edge to Philpott Ford because there was a recall on the airbag and they were giving me a loaner car but expecting me to pay for the insurance for the loaner car which I feel is very unfair since they are fixing something that is their mistake so I feel that they should be responsible for the loaner car and the insurance. But apparently customer service is not at the top of their priority list. I am already paying for insurance on my own vehicle. I will be very glad to spread the word about the poor service that I received from Philpott Ford.

Absolute worst vehicle service experience I have ever had. Brought in an F250 for them to check out codes being thrown after driving in some puddled water and front wheel bearing. They wasted three days to get to it and really didn't tell me anything (charged me $109 for that). Then delivered the vehicle with hood unlatched. I drove, unsafely, for 5 miles before that was realized. Also unhooked radio from ODB and did not hook back up. To top it all off, Technician rummaged though my center console (always kept locked, was unlocked at vehicle delivery), where he has absolutely no business. Played with my radio. Service Advisor Ed never initiated a call to me to keep me up to date on progress. I always had to initiate the status inquiry. This place is a bad joke. Never will be back. Hope others heed this warning.

Have been bringing my cars to Philpott for years, and suspect when I have some time to reflect I will continue to do so, but today I would not go back. This review is for one specific service trip for an oil change. 1) Service Adviser normally uses a tablet pre-loaded with all my vehicle and contact data. This trip Service Adviser met me carrying a clipboard. He had to get my contact data and write it down. He asked me when certain maintenance had been performed in the past. I explained that I counted on Philpott to maintain my service records with that data and I did not have the information readily available. When asked where his tablet was he told me he was "old school" and the tablet was in his office, but we could go look at it after the car was checked in. 2) Every single driving adjustment, seat and steering wheel (telescoping and height) had been changed. The car was driven from check-in to the service bay and back for an oil change. A round trip of less than 200 yards. Was this done for my benefit? Steering wheel pushed in and up. Seat all the way back, and down. I'm not "small". If this is a comfort feature to allow me easy entry to my car I would prefer it not ever be done again. If it was done to accommodate the person moving my car I would prefer that person not move my car. 3) I have grown very accustomed to the automatic headlight setting. I never change it. Later in the evening, after sunset, I was driving on a well lit road when I noticed my interior dash lights were brighter than normal. That is when I realized my headlights had been changed from automatic to off. I had been driving with no lights on. Again, well lit road, but not happy finding lights off. 4) Every setting on cabin controls had been changed. Temperature set to lowest setting, A/C turned off, automatic controls set to off. If this was part of some "system check" then it gives the impression of being done in a hurry and carelessly. Item 1 was explained directly to service manager before leaving. The rest wasn't discovered until preparing to leave, or in the case of the headlights, later that evening. *** Edit in regards to Philpott comment. It took effort to explain, on-site face to face, to your service manager there was a problem with the service. I was uncomfortable standing there explaining my concerns in front of other people. That was your opportunity to "take care of it", not after reading a review. The review is clear and factual.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Philpott’s Ford service department. I took my work truck in on Dec 20 for a recall over the Christmas holidays, and was told I would have it back in about a week. After 12 days, I grew increasingly concerned and decided to call them about the status. It took me THREE calls and two several hour waits to get an answer on the status of my vehicle. After the third time calling (after being promised they would call back soon and getting no response), I was finally told that they were getting two service associates on it. He told me I could pick it up in an hour. I am utterly shocked that after two weeks in the service center, they were able to get the job in under one hour. This should have been completed weeks ago. I do not believe that if hadn’t called the truck would have been ready on time. I will never be back, and will be sure to tell everyone I know what kind of service you will get here. Very upsetting.

federal safety recall on airbag for my 2008 Ford Edge ...... took 11 years to get part but you were able to install it in about an hour. Stayed at dealership as service was being done. Waiting area was nice and the service advisor keep up informed on how the work was going. Good Job

I bought the truck on March 11th a Ford F-250 on the 12th I picked it up that evening on the 13th it rained the headlights had condensation in them on the 13th I called Adam Carter my salesman told him of the problem and now here it is the 29th and I'm still waiting on Ford to make a decision on what to do on a issue that the truck had when it left the lot if there is this big of an issue on getting such a small issue fixed what's going to happen when the truck has a major issue?

Bought a used Ford Expedition from the dealership for a weekend vehicle. Purchased the best extended warranty we could purchase and specifically asked if it covered a/c and was told yes. About 1 1/2 months later the a/c the passenger starts blowing hot. I being the vehicle in and they say the part that went out is not covered under the warranty and will be approx. $550. After research I find the part retails anywhere from $30-70 and takes approx. less than an hour to do. When I call to ask them why they are charging so much they state their hourly service is a set price at $150, which is ridiculous. Even at $150 per hour, I don't understand why they are going to charge me so much and how ridiculous it is that I bought warranty from them that is suppose to cover A/C but apparently not the one thing that goes out on our vehicle. A couple calls to auto shops around the Golden Triangle and I am getting my vehicle fixed part and labor for $165. To top all that off when I spoke to the man in finance he kept referring to the fact that the car has 100,000 miles on it like we didn't already know and that was what we should have expected... which seemed odd to me because we bought the vehicle from his dealership... so what he was telling me is buying a used vehicle from there lot with that many miles is stupid on our part. Then when my fiance went to pick up the vehicle to take it somewhere else they commented on how clean and how great of shape the 100,000 mile vehicle was in. Ford Phillip lost two customers and I will not recommend them to family or friends in the future.

I'd like to begin by saying the staff is friendly & courteous. This is not about their manner in dealing with customers at all. As a Nederland resident, I have had a positive view of Philpott. I had an airbag recall and scheduled the work plus minor maintenace. It turned into a 2 day repair because of the extensive nature of the recall repair involving dash removal. That was explained to me and was fine. But after 2 full days Mar 12 & 13, I found my car with trash in the floorboard including my handicapped tag & water bottle, but that didn't matter, just surprising. What upset me was that the interior trim was not installed correctly, it hangs out with a gap. It's the trim going from door frame and continuing under the dash. I picked the car up near closing. Couldn't book another appointement on-line to have this corrected for 54 days! I purchased the car at Philpott and it is still low miles in immaculate condition and I feel this should be immediately made right, as it could rattle and is obvious. I used a coupon that included an oil change, along with other checks. I had just had my oil changed 4 weeks before and there was a new sticker from Pennzoil. The mechanics didn't look at the sticker or oil, see how recent or clean it was and opt not to change it or give me a call, they changed it again. Wow. It was part of the coupon---I understand that and they were doing all on the coupon as instructed by service mgr, but when I take my car to Pennzoil and the oil still looks good, they tell me it doesn't need to be changed yet. That sort of thing inspires confidence in the business. I guess I should have specified that it was the other checks on the maintenance coupon I was interested in, but I suppose I thought it would be obvious to professionals. On a positive note, the car rides great since the tire rotation and balance.

Sign in to get my oil changed. Told them not to touch the tires. They lower the tire pressure blow the state air pressure. Haven't caught up with the new law that lower pressure Voyager insurance. When talk to the service manager he rudely hung up on me.

Have been truck shopping for a year and found the best deal here. Adam, in sales was great. I am an out of state buyer and he was on point with getting the add ons I wanted and getting all paper work needed for outta state in order. Any questions I had he was fast to get an answer.
