While I did not purchase from Covert Chevy it was no fault of the dealer or the sales team. After multiple busts and bad experiences at other dealers, I stopped by Covert Chevy in Hutto to look where I initially bought my last truck and check out the new Silverado. I was met and greeted great like always, and was referred to Karrie and went to look at the new Silverado and compare them to the Ram that I had been looking at. Unfortunately for her, I did not like the new Chevy's at all, but then she did something really unexpected and something that I have never experienced when car shopping. She referred me to another Salesperson at another manufacturer's dealer. She explained that she just wanted me to be happy with my purchase and if the product she had wasn't making me happy, then she would do everything in her power to make me satisfied. In the end I did buy from Covert, but not from the Chevy side, but like last time with my 07 Silverado, it was a very excellent experience and I finally traded that truck in on my new one. I will miss it, but I have pictures and got an excellent deal from the Covert Dodge dealer on 183 and Lamar.

My wife and I walked around the lot for 20 minutes and not one salesman got off his butt to help us. And no they were not busy. Vehicle: Brand new 2018 Silverado 1500 Right after buying the truck in May 2018 I brought it back in to point out some trim issues as well as 3 little nicks on the passenger door. Said they best they can do would be do give it a little buff, Which was fine with me. Told them it would be awhile before i could bring it in for the trim, and nicks. Finally got it in for service in November 2018. They did an ok job correcting the trim issues.... however the touch up on the nicks were horrible. Not even sure how this was acceptable within the company. They agreed that the quality was bad and i brought it in for a second time, which I was hesitant and kept stating if you guys cant do the job we need to come up with another approach. I was assured it would look like factory and would not be able to tell. This time they taped an area off, resprayed the original color and applied a clear coat. Once again, the quality of the work was horrible. I have been in contact a few times about the situation, I am not sure what to do now because each time I take it in it seems to get worse. Now on to a more recent issue, I brought my truck in around June 19th 2019 because its seems to shifting a little funny, also have some noises that Im not sure what the source is. Test drove with a service manager and he agreed there is an issue and would like to replace something (cant remember what he said). I could not leave the truck that day because their was no loaner, they said they would call me on Monday the following week. I never received a call and had to call them on July 2nd asking why I haven't heard anything? Lady asked my what my name was and said she could not find any notes from that visit. which i saw her writing information down as the service manager was talking to her. She said she would look more into it. Its now July 15th and still haven't heard a thing.

Dealing with John in service has been a great challenge. His personality is great but no communication at all. I had new vehicle in 10/9 after 1000 miles due to wheel shake at speed. Stated bad tire and it was fixed. Left 10/10 and same issue if not worse happened at speed. Had to return vehicle 10/13 and was told it'd be done 10/14. I had to call the first time after not getting any update. This time I have called and no response at all. At this point I am unsure when I will get vehicle back and no rental was offered as this is a warranty issue. Called 10/16 10/17 and 10/18 with no call back. Had to drive to dealership 10/17 to get update and was told I would get a call 10/18 but again nothing. I hope maybe posting here I will get an update on my truck.

When the issue was discovered to be a minor error from my previous visit, he was honest and corrected the issue quickly and at no cost to me. Went back to get the next "Free Service" with free gas... Once again, Truck not washed... No free gas... As expected. Lots of "we will make it right" on the initial response... No follow through... Manager changed, re-explain situation, resend picture showing "Free Gas Card"... No follow up... If they offer "Free Service" as an incentive... Ask for free lube stop coupons. I have driven from Cedar Park twice for mine and gotten no better service than the local oil change place 2 minutes away... Thinking about going to the BBB as I have a card that says "Free Gas" they gave me that has gotten me absolutely nothing but a long trip for OK service.

EDIT: Came back to check out a different car with a different salesman and my experience was much better. Alex was extremely helpful and didn't hesitate to let me test drive the car I was looking at. In fact, he wasn't afraid to let me go without him on the test drive. Be sure to avoid the Ford building. --------------------------------------- Talked on the phone with a salesman and was expecting to test drive a car they had. When I got there, I was informed that it would not be possible to test drive that car or any car similar as they were "specialty cars". Then the salesman talked down on me condescendingly (while wearing a fake Rolex nonetheless) and started spewing some BS about the car and why no one is allowed to test drive it and how special and rare it is. There's probably a reason it's been on the lot for over 3 weeks then. Completely wasted my time and the drive there wasn't close either.

Bought a used car and the next day in the morning there were bugs all over the around shifter area. So called them right away and the salesman was very helpful and said bring it In. But since My wife is deadly afraid of them said she could not get In and drive that car again. So spoke to the used car manger and he tried to blame us that candy might have been left inside the car. I was wow no way He is saying that. Asked me how bugs like that makes any difference I thought. But did say let's us clean it and that is all we can do. Of course we went back in forth , that guy just did not care about what I had said. Just was very ugly and no customer service at all. Finally had to trade it In for a new right away. I service both of my vehicles here because it is the closest dealer to my home. I prefer to service through a dealer. It’s extremely frustrating to have scheduled service appointments for standard maintenance such as an oil change or filter change and still wait hours. Unless I drop the vehicle off, I can expect to wait all morning for my vehicle back from a service event that should take 20 minutes tops. The 3 stars are for the price and friendliness of the service staff. Their attitude is great and it is a good price for the service.

Purchased a $30k used F250 from these guys only to find out after 7k miles I would be quoted from the dealership almost $4k in parts and labor for ebp sensors, a radiator w/thermostat, and a DEF pump assembly. Oh and pcm update. They expect me to believe none of that couldn't be found when they did they vehicle inspection prior to putting the vehicle up for sale. Sales manager tells me there would be no way to catch those kind of things.....hmmm. sounds like they don't want to take responsibility for selling something that was gonna cost the customer more money than they wanted to spend on a used car deal. Kinda shady. Beware.....you would be just as at risk buying a used vehicle from these guys than a private seller. Only positive to private seller would be less money out of your pocket.... Good job Covert Hutto.....you successfully created a negative ad campaign out of one of your long time customers.....

We have always had our vehicles worked on thru a Chevy dealer. We have made appointments and they always hold on to our cars for days for repair, even with a simple oil change. Covert is always nickle and diming. Its never about making the customer happy it about what else they can charge you for. The lady that does the servicing Mindy has no idea what she is doing! We hate to get her when she answers because she really has no clue about repairs. Why she works in that department is beyond me. We have had things fixed there and not too long we have the same issues. Seems to me that if you fix it .it should stay fixed. Also had our car in for a saftey inspection. They said everything was ok. However after taking our car to another shop in town for a sound coming from my brakes we took it to the nearest shop, turns out my brakes were really bad and dangerous. This was within a few days of just having the inspection done at Covert in Hutto. Terrible service!!!! Will not be returning and will advise others to stay away!

My first experience buying a truck there was great years ago so went there this week with my son to buy his first truck. Unfortunately, he didn't have the same good experience. The salesman knew nothing about trucks and used the same web page to answer our questions that we had already looked at. When buying a new vehicle, I don't think it is too much to ask that the salesman at least know the basics of the vehicle. Aside from his lack of knowledge, he didn't even seem to want to sell us a truck. I think he even stated he hadn't sold any vehicles yet. I appreciate not being pressured but this was the oddest experience trying to buy a truck I've had. It seemed like his biggest concern was getting home early. We won't be wasting any more time at Covert in Hutto.

After talking with a sales rep for a couple hours finalizing the sale of a truck, another sales rep sold the truck to someone else. The sale reps are not communicating with each other. I sent them all my information and put a down deposit on the truck just to find out someone bought the truck. Family owned for 107 years and this is how you treat people? I didnt even get a call form the sales manager apologizing. All I recieved was a text message saying sorry. Piss poor customer service and horrible way to deal with customers.

First off my salesman Brian Costensa i believe he was great. Actually fought for me. The truck i purchased had some issues days after i purchased it and they cracked the dash and refused to fix it. I had to fight tooth and nail to get my truck repaired CORRECTLY not to their standards which are subpar. The service staff Monica and Richard are terrible at customer service. I went long periods of time with NO updates what so ever on my truck. When i got updates i initiated the contact not them. They argued with me on more than one occasion. Flat out refused to fix issues. Or told me that it was going to cost me money. In short if you do buy a vehicle here MAKE SURE you test drive of course and note any defects with the vehicle and make sure they know. When you pick up the keys make sure to rewalk the vehicle and bring to attention any changes. Take pictures if possible. This was my first time ever purchasing a vehicle from a dealership. Had they treated me right. They would have made a customer for life. I would have bought all my future vehicles for myself my wife and kid here. But they messed that up badly. Guess they don't think about return customers. Too busy trying to save a buck. It took exactly 1 month to the day to get my truck back. They were in no hurry to fix the issues. Couldn't even give a Courtesy car wash before giving it back. Shameful. Didn't even get a sorry about that. I did finally get the dash kinda fixed. They put on a cheap dashcap. Better than nothing... Since i bought the warranty if i have issues I'll take the truck to another covert. Don't want to deal with these clowns again.

After being faithful customers to Covert in Hutto we will no longer be bringing our business their direction. We sat for over 2 hours without once being asked what we were hoping to get for a trade-in on our LTZ suburban or what we would like our payments to be around. The salesman comes back with a credit score that was 80 points lower than the credit score our bank had provided us just days earlier and lower than dirt low ball offer on our suburban. We grabbed our keys and left. Be CAUTIOUS... make sure your information is correct and always follow your instincts. I am giving Covert in Hutto one star because it doesn’t allow zero stars.

Been to covert a couple of times first time I understood why they couldn't accomplish what I read trying to do the numbers didn't add up so I was fine with that. The second time I had a good trade in and a vehicle lined up and all the numbers were "supposedly" good but I waited a few days I contacted the sales person and he said I would not need a cosigner after I offered one and he would contact me later. Well a few days past and no contact then I proceeded to contact him and in response he said it's not looking good cause they couldn't find a bank to finance me. My biggest thing was the fact that I was doing all the follow up and it seemed like they just blew me off. Now mind you they offered me a good trade in price for my vehicle and sold me on a nice vehicle but the effort just feels like blah from them. Very lackluster with me like i'm just not good enough. And my family had dealt with them for so long and recommended me but what they've experienced is nothing like what I experienced.

Covert made me an offer through the USAA car buying service on a new truck. But when it came time to close the deal I found that Covert did not want to do the offer they made. Two things, first they wanted me to finance with their lender at 5.9% not the USAA 2.9% deal. Then Covert wanted to charge me more than $500.00 in Dealer fees when they had already offered, through the USAA service, only $125.00 in dealer fees. Covert appears to use the USAA car buying service as a sales lead then do all they can to bail out at the last minute. It is deceptive trade and bait and switch. I have documented everything I have said in this comment, will be providing it to USAA, and want all veterans to know how Covert treats senior citizens and veterans.

Worked with George about leasing a Camaro ZL1, I've never heard so stupid and ridiculous numbers, and explanations how they made this monthly payment. People there didn't study math, and they easily can't count 2+2(that's my personal opinion) When person told me about residual value of 50%, and payments summary almost whole vehicle price - it's pretty ridiculous, right? I call it cash grab. So my advice - do come to these guys, they don't know how to sell. Worst experience ever

I just recently purchased a used 2015 Tahoe from Covert and I had been looking for the better part of a year for something that was affordable, and as we all know, Tahoes are VERY popular and expensive, especially the newer ones! I found this particular one and requested more info. The response time was quick and a gentleman named Brian called me and we got down to the details. I explained to him that I am in need of another vehicle because my daughter is about to get her license and she was going to be getting my vehicle. I also explained that my husband and I don’t have the greatest credit, but we wanted to try to start building it up again. From that very first phone call, Brian has been amazing! He sent me pictures of the car, helped me with the credit app process and answered all my questions at anytime! He called me frequently to give me updates and I told him my husband is currently working in Afghanistan and I am trying to do everything by myself essentially! Brain had serveral phone conversations with my husband as well to keep him in the loop. We knew that there would be some hurdles getting approved but Brian worked tirelessly for almost 2wks with the finance manager to get it done for us. They day I picked up the car, we discovered that the parking assist sensor was not working and Brian made it right with the service dept and he got the part ordered for me before I left that day and I actually just went in today to have it repaired. The service dept was efficient and friendly and I was updated frequently with the progress of the repair. Went to purchase a vehicle from Covert. Texted a few times with a guy named John. Found a vehicle I liked, and made a deal. There were a few issues (nothing big) and they agreed to fix it after the sale. BIGGEST MISTAKE. First of all it took a month after hassling this John guy pretty much everyday before I was able to drop it off (he said during the sale someone would come pick it up, fix it, then, return it (of course that didn't happen)). Then, of course they had 0 concern of fulfilling their end of the bargain and half tried to fix everything. Since the purchase, the headlight went out (was probably out when I bough it) the dash was found to be cracked hidden by some glue before it split, and the back seat had some exposed wires that were attempted to be hidden before opening the door a few times. I would say that I will never agree to pay for the vehicle and expect a car dealer to uphold their end of the bargain, and not take the vehicle to a mechanic, because they did absolutely 0 to look over this vehicle before selling it. But what should I expect from a car dealer? I guess I should expect they are trying to just get me to sign on the dotted line, and could care less what happens later whether they agreed to fix something or no. Thanks John... for renewing my complete disgust with car dealerships and car salesman.

I did not show up to this dealership in person. I did research the dealership online once I found the vehicle I was looking for, reasonably priced. I purchased a new vehicle and traded my old vehicle basically over the phone over the course of a few days. I also had it quickly delivered fours hour away for free. I am completely satisfied with the vehicle I purchased. It was accurately described. The salesman, Cliff was great, he was not pushy. As a first-time car buyer, I was super nervous about the experience. However, everyone at Covert Hutto was SO friendly. BUT, the vehicle I ended up in (“certified pre-owned”) ended up having some major issues. They provided a Carfax which stated that the vehicle had never had any accidents or issues in the past. What they don’t tell you (and I didn’t know prior), is that there could have been an incident or accident that wasn’t claimed under insurance. Therefore, it would not show up on the Carfax. Apparently, any out of pocket repairs will NOT be on the Carfax. I had asked several times about whether the dealership mechanics saw anything suspicious or wrong with the vehicle. I was told it was in “tip top shape.” Well, it was not. My point is, if you’re buying a used car, don’t completely trust the Carfax or the dealership!

Cliff my sales rep was great. He handled all my questions promptly and got the ball rolling very quickly. I did run into an issue that wasn't related to my sales rep when I chose a truck on their website though. When we were closing the deal out it was discovered that the truck I chose online wasn't the correct one in regards to their stock number. Somebody had loaded the incorrect batch of pictures on the incorrect stock number so I didn't get the truck I thought I was getting. To get the truck in the pics would have been another 5k or so. Was disappointed but still got the lesser outfitted truck. Just be careful when shopping on their website or you might find yourself feeling like you were bait and switched. Again it wasn't the sales rep fault since he's not the one loading inventory.

I took the car in for service because there was a clunking noise in the front. They told me the stabilizer bar bushings were worn and they replaced them for $354. The clunking noise disappeared but a creaking noise started. I took it back and they kept it for 2 days and told me they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I took it to a different repair shop where they told me the wrong bushings had been installed. They replaced the bushings for $135 and all the problems disappeared. I won't be returning to the Covert Service Dept. UPDATE: In response to my review, Covert asked me to call them. When I did, the Service Manager asked for the invoice from the place where I had the bushings replaced properly and I sent it to him. He said he was going to see about returning the money I paid Covert for the botched repair. All of this happened a month ago. I never got the refund or even an apology. They had a chance to try and make it right but they did nothing.

If you are in search for a new vehicle, then I would stop by the Covert Country Chevrolet in Hutto and ask for Mr. Brian Brown to help you out. I drove down to Austin to drop off a car and I was going to pick up a new vehicle to drive back, so I didn’t have time to mess around playing the typical dealership games that makes anyone dread going to purchase a new vehicle. Luckily for me, Brian over at Covert Chevrolet isn’t a typical salesman. I felt respected throughout the entire process and Brian made sure that I was taken care of from start to finish. Another thing I really appreciated was that Brian was very informed about the products he was selling. Brian walked me through all the features of the vehicle and helped me set them up before I left the lot. I have purchased other vehicles before, but no one has insured me that I was set up to enjoy all the bells and whistles like Brian has done. I also did a lot of research in looking for the best deal from several dealerships around Texas (Austin, Dallas, Houston), but as it says on the Covert website “Nobody beats a Covert deal, not now, not ever.” and they are not lying about that, and Brian will make sure of it. So if you don’t want to waste your time jacking around with yahoos from every dealership in a 100 mile radius, then go see Brain in Hutto. I did and don’t regret doing so, and I’ll definitely be back when it is time to upgrade.

Some dealerships tried to insist that I call them, but Shannon at Covert was willing to work with me on my terms.
