Good cars, good prices
My experience with this dealership should be a warning to others to stay away from this place. I purchase a used SUV from them that has pretty high mileage, so it's expected there will be some repairs that need to be made & I was ok with that. What I was not prepared for was the salesman LYING to me about the extent of repairs needed. The vehicle requires TWO major repairs that will cost $1500 EACH to get fixed, & these are repairs the salesman lied to me about. Air conditioner - I noticed on the test drive that the AC wasn't working. When I asked the salesman he said he would check with their maintenance guy who was the one who worked on it. Salesman came back & told me that they had put coolant in the AC & got it working but it wouldn't work for long because there was a hose leaking. He stated that they didn't do any real troubleshooting since it's a more used vehicle, but that there's at least a hose leaking & they don't know what else could also be wrong with the AC. So, that was all a lie. They never got the AC working at all, because when I brought the vechicle to the shop to have the AC checked, they told me the AC is actually missing the clutch! So the AC in the condition I received it from the dealership is not workable AT ALL. The salemans straight up lied to me because he said when the put coolant into the AC that it did work but that it stopped working again because the coolant leaked out of a hose. Suspension - during my test drive I also noticed a sort of clunking feeling/sound while driving. I asked the saleman about it because I didn't know if it was something wrong with the vehicle or if it was just a normal thing with 4x4 vehicles, because I've never had a 4x4 before. I stated this to the salesman & he said it was a normal sound. After bringing this vehicle to my a car shop I found that this sound actually means that the suspension is going out, & the salesman & dealership mechanic should have known this. So the salesman had lied to me about this. Each of these vehicle repairs will cost $1500, so a total of $3000. For this amount of repairs, I was severely overcharged for this vehicle by the dealership. I was lied to by this dealership about the extent of repairs needed, & they intentionally lied & misled me in order to get the sale. This is FRAUD. But, congratulations to the dealership for tricking a woman into believing you. It's a shame that car dealerships take advantage of women customers & use our lack of car knowledge as a way to fraudulently lie to us in order to get their sales. I did call & speak with the manager, Taylor, who would take no responsibility for his employee's actions. He did say I could trade the vehicle in for another vehicle, but wouldn't state if they would give me the amount I had paid them for the vehicle. He also stated that he would call or text me back to set up a specific time for me to come in & meet with him. Our phone call was 5 days ago & I haven't heard a word from him. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. They are dishonest & take advantage of unknowing customers.
Great place to look for vehicles
Amazing service and always with a great attitude
Very professional and more concerned with what I would be happy with instead of a sale like other places. They allowed me to test drive several vehicles. Then, not only did they find me better financing options than what I found on my own but gave me much more competitive pricing on my trade-in! Thank you Sioux Empire Auto!
As an auto dealer myself, I highly recommend this family owned/operated group. Good guys who sell quality vehicles & stand behind them.
Keep an eye out for Derek Juhl. Would not refer anyone to him or his employer. Avoid like the plague he is.
I bought a 2014 Chevy Cruze from them on 09/23/17. The experience was a very good one. They worked with me all the way with no pressure. I would go back and buy from them anytime.
Friendly atmosphere. Worked with me in getting into the best vehicle for me. He (Taylor) stayed late and waited for me cause I made a mistake. Warranties on the vehicles are great.
Nice service!
The place to get a new vehicle
The worst car dealership I have ever been to. We had come to an agreement on purchasing a vehicle and at closing, first thing they said was they would not honor the terms they previously agreed to. Will never recommend.
Great service and they always fit me in when i need them!
I bought a van here 4 years ago. I appreciated the good price and the good service. They did not use any pressure sales tactics. They set their price, I could test drive it on my own, and I ended up driving home with a vehicle that has served our family well. Thanks guys!
I recently bought my car from Souix Empire, and my experience was great. I worked with Vince and Taylor, and they were very easy to work with. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.
My husband and I are from Iowa and came to Sioux Falls to see a vehicle we had seen online at another dealership. After being disappointed we decided to continue our search at home and not worry about it. However, our van started acting up and we weren’t sure it was going to get our family home. So we continued to search at other dealerships with our one and three year old with! After looking at several other lots and not finding what we’re looking for or just being super turned off by the dealerships we found one at Sioux Empire in Tea that looked decent. After test driving the vehicle and talking with the salesmen we thought we knew what we were getting into. We understand buying a used car with an “as is” warranty is risky, but we wanted to pay cash and not finance so we got an older van. It drove well on our test drive and was taken care of on the inside which was a relief after the horrible day we had already had and they gave a reasonable offer on our trade that we had been having issues with so we decided to purchase the van. That’s when everything changed...no joke right after we handed them the check and signed all the papers and said good bye to our trade we went to start our new van and it wouldn’t start still sitting right in front of their door! The salesmen were no help, but did get us a jump box that we hooked up and had to show them how to work it. The reason ended up being a bad connection since they broke the cables when they rehooked them up plus they were even tightened. Once we got home the check engine light came on. We figured it just had to be bad luck since it took the van the 115 miles home to turn on. After hooking it up to a computer reader it threw out ten codes (technically 7 since some were repeated). So there is no way that was just bad luck. It appears the dealership covered this up by resetting the computer and disconnecting the battery and they did not disclose any issues! Like I stated before, we understand buying used is always a risk, but it is frustrating when you pay the top price of what that vehicle is worth since it appears to be in good condition, but the issues were all just covered up! Plus don’t interrupt the business manager when he is watching golf because he doesn’t have time for you! Then lastly, when the battery cable was the issue they did offer to fix it if we came back up during the week to get it replaced. We are from Iowa and the drive would not have been worth it to get it replaced there! They stress it is a family owned business and how great that is. So you would think then that you might be able to get ahold of your shop manager/brother/cousin to help a customer who seriously had just bought a car from you and is still parked blocking your front door!
Good guys over there!
Unbelievably courteous, accommodating, and caring for each of their customers. I worked the sales rep and his manager and both are very much about getting their customers the best vehicle for the best price. Thank you!
haven't been fond of dealer ships but Sioux Empire was awesome. Jeff my salesman was easy to talk to, friendly and no pressure.
These people were nothing but exceptional when it came to customer service and helping me with everything I needed. They were 100% willing to work me and my price range. 10/10 recommend
Sioux Empire auto had what I was looking for with a nice price, trade was fair. Overall the buying experience was very nice, staff communicated with us often during the deal and were all very personable.
Not at all impressed with this place!! Refused to change their price on a car that was on the lot for over 160 days and we had given them several reasonable offers. Overall experience was super frustrating and we sure won't be referring others to this dealer!
Found a car I was interested in online with a trade in vehicle. Got a pretty fair deal on both the vehicle I purchased as well as my trade in. Folks here are very easy to work with, got all my questions answered. Purchasing and financing a vehicle was a very smooth process. I highly recommend doing business here and would make this one of my first recommendations to friends and family. Will likely do business in the future further down the road.
I purchased a vehicle from Sioux Empire Auto a while ago. A while after we bought the vehicle, we found some damage underneath that existed prior to our ownership of the car, which was pretty upsetting. However, the owner, Taylor, reached out to us immediately and tried to help make things right. It sounds like our situation is not a common thing with this dealership. Even though we had a few issues with our vehicle, this dealership still has my recommendation. This dealership also seems to have very fair prices on their vehicles.
We bought 2 cars from these guys now and have nothing but good things to say about them. The customer service is amazing. Vehicles are in great shape. And the prices are very competitive. If you're looking for a car give these guys a try . You'll be surprised!
Sales staff are very nice and honest.
Great place to do business with - fair prices, nice selection of cars, friendly staff. Highly recommend them!
I had a very poor experience at Sioux Empire Automotive. I purchased a vehicle from them in December of 2016. I initially went there to check out another vehicle and upon my inspection of the car I noticed some light hail damage that was not disclosed or listed as damage for this car. The salesman seemed surprised when I had found it - that should've been my warning sign I needed to go find somewhere else to purchase a vehicle from. However, there was another vehicle I was interested in at the time which I took a look at and decided to purchase. All seemed well until I went to register the car and the state of MN told me they would not allow me to register this vehicle because it had a salvaged title (which was not disclosed to me). Upon jumping through multiple hoops - it was found that this vehicle was salvaged due to being stolen & having been recovered after the insurance money was paid to the initial owner. I found out that the NICB still had this vehicle listed as "hot" or stolen. I immediately called up Sioux Empire Automotive and spoke with Taylor & asked what they could do about this situation. I had paid for a vehicle with a clean title and was now stuck with one that was salvaged and was worth significantly less than I had initially paid for it. I was told "Sorry, you purchased the vehicle, not our problem." He offered absolutely no resolution to this problem and told me I needed to deal with it myself. To anyone that is looking for a vehicle - please use a reputable dealer such as Sioux Falls Ford, Billion, or Vern Eide. Hindsight is 20/20, and I would happily pay a little more for the same caliber vehicle with a dealership that cares more about it's reputation and integrity than ripping off its customers.
Found my dream vehicle! Everyone was friendly and I never felt pressured to make the purchase. I was happy with easy and quick financing! It's been a few months since my purchase and my vehicle still runs like a dream. Anyone looking for a great deal should consider Sioux Empire Automotive!!!!!
I just bought a nice car from this auto company. They are extremely nice and really care about your needs. I would definitely recommend people to purchase there.
