The service we got in this place was beyond terrible. My boyfriend and I decided to go and get a new vehicle. We test drove (them not even taking a glance at a driver's licence) and fell in love with a vehicle on their lot. We go in there, letting them know that we may need a little extra help because this was our first vehicle buying experience, and agreed on the price, then we went back to the financing where everything went badly. They gave us a interest rate that was ILLEGAL in the state of SD and WY to give. When asking to let us have the paper work they "already shredded it". Their attitude was unwelcoming and annoyed when we got to the finance manager and I will never recommend this place to ANYONE looking for a vehicle in Rapid City, SD.

Walked in last minute to see if they had time for an oil change. Service rep did an amazing job and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Made phone calls to other locations to check availability and while she was doing that they had a cancellation and got us in right away rather then a couple of hours. Prices are amazing as well!

Really good place, very small and intimate. Very pressure free. We told them what we were interested in and they sent us off in a Jeep to test drive. No pressure to stay after we said we were going to look around. We went back to get a deal in the works but ended up falling through with no pressure. Would recommend.

Idk who the car sales manager is but hes to focused on greed and is making the car salesman look bad. You dont sell someone a used car for clean retail then just a couple months later offer them rough trade in value of -8000 when they come into the store looking to spend more money. I kept that car super clean and only added around 2000 miles on it....or maybe it was the car salesman pulling a fast one and putting it off on the sales manager. Either way. I was disgusted. Now when i car shop im stuck with a sour taste in my mouth when i hear "Jeep liberty" yeah wonderful experience.

This place is just straight up bad. I had installed new headlights into my vehicle the night before taking it into the stealership to have an engine mount bolt replaced that was quoted $150 to have done. Not only did they lie to me and the $150 was only to inspect it and tell me that what I already knew and TOLD them, but my headlights were then tampered with as when I went to take them back off after I got my car back, the bolts keeping them on screwed with to where they were no longer able to be taken off without breaking the brackets. Someone had replaced the bolt and put a screw into one side, and then that screw was drilled into a small piece of metal, kind of like how a nut and bolt would work, but not removable. Not sure why they'd do this, but I put them on myself the day before, and they definitely weren't like that.

We love the two cars we bought at the same time! THAT BEING SAID customer service post is awful less then 18 hours later awd needed checked and johen tried to charge us we have a bumper to bumper! Then as of today they owe me 400 dollars because they gave me a IOU and now are not trying to pay it! Kramer our sales guy was nice at first now he is just as bad as Johan! I had bought a used vehicle from here for 23000 just 4 months ago. I came in today to do a trade for a different used vehicle.After doing my research on nada i discovered the car still has the same value as when i bought it but they offered me rough trade in value which is -$7000 the price i paid for the car then claimed they would help me and offer me average trade in value which is -$5000. Ok so how do you sell me a used car just 4 months ago for clean retail value but offer me rough and then average trade in value? Kind of a evil move is it to say and charge me clean retail value at time of purchase then not offer me clean trade in value? Are you saying you sell cars that ain't worth clean retail value but price them as? or are you saying you want to make as much money as you can and screw the customer? Sell as clean and trade for rough? What kind of business is this. I had to have the leather seat restitched and i put new tires on it. It is in better condition from when i had bought it. Further experience, they do not budge on price and the prices are usually higher then "average price paid" on cargurus and nadas clean retail value. Just make sure you do your homework if you decide to come here. I did not feel like a happy customer. I felt taken advantage of for i had more trust then that in my sales guy who i previously purchased the car from. This was my experience. Hopefully in the future things will change. They do have a good selection of vehicles but the business side is really grimey and extremely dissatisfying.I give it 2 stars because the first time i bought it wasn't great but it wasn't bad.

No one else would be allowed to service my Jeep...period. Jef has been a great service manager and has become a friend. He has always been up front with information and repairs that need to be done.

Dishonest and greedy service center--AVOID AT ALL COSTS! After visiting the service center for an oil change, an "intensive examination" yielded an elaborate, false report of fluids leaking in the undercarriage of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. The "four major leaks" supposedly required full replacement of all parts with no alternate options. The estimate was $4,000 for parts and $3,000 for service. I declined all services and my Jeep has displayed no such leaks in the one full year of daily use since, all of which having been parked on a clear-colored concrete driveway. This service center and possibly the entire business is dishonest at best. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for any maintenance needs.

The absolute worst service department. I bought two jeeps from them and had all the service done there. One Jeep needed a new engine and they asked while the engine was out would I want a clutch replaced since it was easy at the time. 6 months later the clutch went out and they wouldn’t warranty the parts because apparently they replaced it with after market parts even though I was never give a choice between jeep parts vs after market parts ( my guess is they would have needed to wait for Jeep parts so bought local parts to get my Jeep out of the shop sooner). I ended up paying for a new clutch with them. Several months later we had problems again and they told me it was the master cylinder— when the repairs were done I asked how the clutch looked and they said the clutch was fine. Several months after that the clutch went out again and this time they said they wouldn’t warranty it because they already replaced it when the master cylinder was replaced. This was either a lie and they just billed Jeep corporate for new parts or they lied to me. They told me they would cut me a deal on the new clutch at $1300. I was so fed up with their dishonesty and poor work I took it to a local transmission shop who replaced it for $750. The sad thing was the fact that my family were loyal customers for 10 years getting all of our service and oil changes and service done there and they seemed to care less. We drove that Jeep for 40k miles with no problems and then they replaced the clutch as a preventative measure and we had to have it replaced 4 times in over a year. I will go out of town to buy my Jeeps in the future and for sure get my service else where

Brett Barrett & Monique Dock were incredibly helpful when I brought my new 2017 Jeep Renegade into the Liberty Chrysler/Jeep/Fiat service department. I had only owned my Renegade for about 6 months and the driver side speaker quit working. They asked me to bring in my Jeep the next day and replaced the speaker in just a couple of hours. The vehicle was still under warranty, so I paid nothing. I'll definitely be back if I have any questions or concerns regarding my Renegade or any other vehicles.

Have a serious issue with this place of business. Most recently was one of the worst experiences I have had here. on a separate occasion I had one problem and I was trying to be the bigger person and let them have a second chance but this was a really bad idea. So to start off with I had been having issues with my jeep. I had replaced some parts trying to fix the issue myself but it hadn't fixed the problem. So being a responsible vehicle owner I took it to the place that deals in these vehicles. Had them diagnose the issue and they had told me it was a part that I had already replaced myself. Being that that was the case I felt skeptical about their diagnoses. So I had asked them if I replace that part and it doesn't fix it what should I do then. the lady told me if that was the case I need to show proof of the warranted part being replaced and they would refund my fee for diagnoses. I had another shop do the work on the warranted part and that did not fix the issue. I showed proof of the new part and its warranted new part and the papers from where I had it installed they refused to give me a refund. even went further and chastised me when I went in and showed them that the problem was fixed by another shop finding the actual problem mind you Jeep is specialized in jeep. The store manager is rude arrogant and unwilling to listen to customers. This Is an unfair way to treat a customer who has given them multiple chances to right a wrong. the original issue was the exact same problem with a bad diagnoses and I didn't even try on that one but this being the second time I was not happy with this place and there poor management.

I had a great experience buying my car here in February 2016. There were a few delays due to a windshield being broken in transit. I didn't even complain, and yet they decided not to charge me for some upgrades as an apology. I just had my first oil change on the new car and we were in and out in 30 minutes flat, with no sketchy "upsell" tactics. I will definitely buy from this dealer again, continue to get my services done here, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Salesman lied about the vehicle's features and capabilities even after direct questions. Specifically, the gear ratio and locking differential. These are important aspects when shopping for a Jeep Wrangler. The reasoning? He didn't know anything about the product he was trying to sell. After filing with Jeep and the BBB, Liberty Superstore offered to correct the mistake and proposed to install the gears and differential as quoted, free of charge. Work was technically completed, but they refused to provide documentation of the upgrades. Go somewhere else.

UPDATE: A completely unrelated visit: buying a car. I had originally never wanted to come back here, but its difficult when they not only have the only model in town that you are looking for, but also THE trim, interior, etc that you've been after. So i reluctantly came back, at first swearing I wouldn't buy anything from them, and just wanted a test drive. In a nutshell, the sales floor is apparently in a completely different realm than the losers in the service and parts dept. Day and night difference. The sales person helping my wife and I was Katie, she was very friendly and respected the fact that pushing me, is the fastest way to push me out the door. The car was in excellent condition, there was nothing sneaky or sneaky feeling about the way they run business in the sales dept, and it was all around one of the better experiences I've had buying a car. I got the car I wanted for the price I wanted, with minimal fuss. Having been to places that bait and switch, this was a huge relief. 5 stars for the sales dept, 1 star for parts/service. ORIGINAL: Got the airbag recall last month (Feb) and called them immediately to schedule it. Service department rings and goes to voicemail. Wait a few days call, same thing. Wait a few more call, same. I called them on 4 separate ocassions over the course of over a month and never got them to answer the service desk to schedule me in. All calls were made between 9am - 5pm, M - F. Finally had to go in person to make an appointment. Today, I show up as scheduled for the work. I was told it would be roughly 3.5hrs instead of the original 2.5hrs (one of their lifts were down). No problem. They offer me a free ride home so I don't have to wait around at the store. 4pm comes around and I haven't heard a word. I need my vehicle by 5pm to pick up my wife from work, I shouldn't have to tell them this, they were supposed to be done with plenty of time left. I call and of course the same BS, no one picks up at the service desk so I call back and ask the receptionist if she could help. After clicking back and forth about 4 times, I ask to speak to a manager. We get ahold of the service dept. Ohhhhhhhh.... Yeah your vehicle is done. I tell him they need to pick me up, he says they sent their courtesy driver home for the day, he'll call me back. He did call back but I found a ride. No call and impossible to get a hold of, left stranded at home, sent the courtesy driver home. They are the only jeep dealership within an affordable distance, so I'm sure they could get away with this all they want. If you google m35 airbag recall, you should be able to find the manufacturers service info for my vehicle (WJ). Book time is rated 0.7hrs. They had my vehicle for nearly 7hrs, and even then, I had to contact them. It also never required a lift.

When caught they swore to pay me back but lied. The Jeep dealer in Butte Mt. Did more damage than they fixed. Horribly incompetent!

Went in to have a spare key cut and programmed in service department. Attendant said they were short handed (no big deal) then tried to pass me off to some that could cut/program the key. This man made it obvious he didn't want to do it and then they both gave excuses how the OEM/FACTORY key would not work. I don't understand these companies that have the customer service that don't care about making money. So my money was spent elsewhere. If I could give no stars and provide experience it would be better.

I have taken down my previous post about not having my calls returned. The reason is that once the a friend of mine who works in their repari shop heard about my experience, he immediately got a hold of a buddy of his on the sales floor and Jeffery Markworth , the guy he introduced me to, immediately messaged me and got all the details and proceedeed to go to work on my behalf. I have abysmal credit, so it wasn't easy. He worked all weekend, called in some favors and even got his manager to give me the absolute maximum for my trade-in. I ended up getting approved for a WAY better, newer, nicer car than I'd ever thought I could get. Until today, I had resigned myself to driving 20 year old cars with hudreds of thousands of miles on them and none of the cool features newer cars have. But no more cause today I drove home my cute little blue 2014 Nissan Versa Note! I was in total disbelief.. and a little sad about having to trade in my little red 2005 focus cause she had been such a great little car despite having 340,000 miles on her little engine. sentimental value and all that.. But I went ahead and let her go so that she can be there for someone else who needed her as much as I did when I got her! Anyway.. my new little car is so cool!! and the guys at the dealership were really nice. the finance guy, an older gentleman, was really cool and explained all the paperwork to me in clear, concise language that made it easy to understand what I was signing. I had no clue what I was doing because up unil now, I'd always just bought my cars with cash. But the guys at Liberty made me feel at ease and made the experience fun!! They treated me like I mattered even though i wasn't a huge spender. They even washed the car for me and put gas in the tank!! I'm very grateful for the guys at Liberty and especaily to Jeffry. If y'all ever need a car, ask for Jeffery Markworth and tell them Amoreena B sent you!! The guy worked his tail off for me and he will for you too!

Bought a brand new 2018 Jeep Cherokee and out the gate the vechile has had failure after failure. Some failures they dont even fix they just have you keep bring it back so you can wait in lobby for hours. The service department is poor and lazy, it takes forever to hear updates from them just to find out they just jiggled a wire(didnt fix anything but they felt proud they thought they did). Was told they had loner cars by a employee but turned out to be a lie(not uncommon). DONT NOT BUY FROM THEM. If poor quality and service is what you are looking for they are top notch.

Got my 14 Cherokee, great vehicle, but the customer service here is very bad, in the process of getting this vehicle, they never called me or let me know that the paperwork was approved or not, I had to call them to ask them about the paperwork and they said oh yeah, the paperwork was approved, come on in.

I unexpectedly came into the market for a new vehicle but being the sort who likes to educate oneself and not make rash decisions, I let it be known that I wasn't ready to make a purchase just yet. Toby was respectful of my choice to wait and he did not hound me in the 4 months it took me to decide what i wanted. His approach is quite relaxed, patient and there was no pressure from him at all. He was still there for questions and answers I had through my preference of text or email. After doing my research, I contacted Toby and we set up some time to test drive a few different Jeeps, he had the Jeeps I wanted to look at all ready for me at the front of the dealership. I didn't purchase my Jeep that day but he was completely understanding and offered to look for what i wanted at other dealerships. Fast forward a couple of weeks later and we found the Jeep I wanted but it was located out of town, Toby went and got my new Jeep & brought it to the dealership but I couldn't pick it up until that evening. Toby and the Finance person stayed late to wrap up my purchase and i never felt rushed. I could have gone to another dealership, even one out of state but I chose to go back to Liberty Jeep because of Toby, he's an all round great guy who's knowledgeable, personable and genuine; who will go above and beyond to help his customers, without being pushy and most importantly with zero pressure. If your looking to buy a vehicle in the near future, go see Toby, you will be glad you did!

Terrible. I took my Jeep Wrangler in for an oil change and they noticed a nail in my front right tire so they asked me if I wanted them to patch it up so I said sure why not. A week later I notice the same tire isn't holding in any air so I take it back because I thought their patch wasn't holding up... It turns out that the tire valve is broken so they charged me $150 to fix it (it was perfectly fine before they touched it the week prior). And now I notice the locking lugnut tool I use to take my tires off is missing... Hmmm I wonder where that went.

The length of time it took was uncalled for! Oil change should only be 20 min., tire rotate 20 min., brake and rotor change an additional 1hr.. I was there 3 hrs. w/o and update of progress. Very unhappy with the customer service for this visit!!

Staff was friendly, but I have never had an oil change take this long. Earlier this morning at a different dealership with our truck, we had the oil changed, and they found out what was wrong with it, they also fixed two recalls, and gave it a car wash in less time than what we spent here just getting the oil changed.

I am very annoyed with this place right now. We bought our past 2 jeeps here and had no problems. But we just had a baby and our kindergartener had no school today so he’s with us also. We had an appointment at 10 am and I arranged for a ride at that time. We just got back to the dealership 3 hours later, at 1 pm, in hopes of it being done, or at the very least being worked on still! We asked how much longer, AND THEY DIDNT EVEN START WORKING ON IT YET! Like come on! 3 hours and didn’t even start on it yet!???? Ridiculous!!! I’m fed up, my son is irritated and impatient, my baby is not sleeping and fussy and would much rather be home! We drove an hour in a half! WHATS THE POINT OF MAKING AN APPOINTMENT IF THEY DONT EVEN START WORKING ON IT AT THAT TIME!????

Good lord what terrible service! Here's the backstory: my check engine light came on in my 2014 GC with 8k miles on it, needless to say I was worried so I took it in. I dropped it off about 0915, used their shuttle service to take me to main street square (1.8 miles away). They called about 1300 to let me know it was done, that took a long while but ok/whatever; I asked if the shuttle service could pick me back up. They said no problem, we'll be there. I waited until 1545 after calling several times, my husband called, we both left voicemails, no one would answer. It was raining and I had no umbrella/jacket/covering -they're all in my car, otherwise I would have walked- so I procured a taxi after several more phone calls (just in time for my phone to die). Got back to the dealer and Kevin, THE GUY WHO I TALKED TO ON THE PHONE AND ASKED TO PICK ME UP said, "we would have come pick you up, we have a shuttle service." HAHAHA LOL SUPER FUNNY KEVIN. If my car wasn't under warranty and had got free service I would NEVER go back. Also, whomever worked on it changed all of my personal settings in my car. Great group of guys.
