I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and I still regret it. I even purchased an extended warranty. When the said vehicle developed a death wobble after less than 6 months, they said it wasn't covered under that warranty. They were not up front about anything, including prices which I had to ask for repeatedly because "We will work it out. Don't worry about it, sweetie." is not a sufficient answer. I ended up having to trade the vehicle at another dealership and I am still paying for this awful experience over a year later. Save yourself this trouble and go elsewhere!!

Have had many great experiences with their Service Center. Oil changes for $19.95. So cheap, I'll let them do it. Can't hardly buy oil and filter these days for that! Treat you like your family there. Probably some of the best tire prices in the area also.

As someone who worked in the auto industry I can tell you with 100% honesty that these people are crooks who are solely interested in getting your money and not providing you with any kind of service. On top of that, they make empty promises to ensure you will never see your money again, and still won't have a working vehicle. We will never be returning, nor will we allow any of our friends to even consider this place.

The manager at Gateway Autoplex gave me a GREAT deal on my brakes that I originally went in to have serviced. By the end of the service I also needed my rotors replaced they gave me a heck of a discount and did a wonderful outstanding job within a timely manner! They were all dress professionally and we're incredibly respectful! I would recommend them over Bargain Barn any day! They are way better price than most shops in and around the Black Hills area!! During my stay I enjoyed a comfortable lounge and had drinks offered to me. While I sat in the waiting room waiting for my vehicle to be serviced I did not have anyone come and Badger me about a new vehicle which was nice! He told me they even offer extremely reasonable rates on oil changes which is more cheaper than anywhere else I found in Rapid!! Thank you Gateway Auto for helping a single mom of two out! I also wanted to mention I gave him a three-hour window that it had to be done because I had to go back to work shortly after my brakes were done and they got done way before the timeline was due!!

These people can get a turnip approved for a car, however expect extremely high interest rate, which of course is commonplace and to be expected. They have a very large selection of vehicles all of which seem to be in excellent working condition.

If your looking to buy a good quality used car and to get all the little details but can’t seem to find a trustworthy used car dealership or you're paranoid about getting sold a lemon, don’t overlook Gateway Auto! In my opinion, Gateway is the single best used car dealer out of all the other dealerships in the South Dakota area! All the staff I engaged with are very friendly, hospitable, knowledgeable, and they treated me more like a friend instead of a client. Anthony Cokenowner (the salesman who helped me) diligently worked WITH me so I could get my ‘16 Subaru Impreza. Without him I don’t believe I would’ve got my dream car! He made the whole process easy and he gave me a full rundown of the car without any hesitation. He knew everything that I wanted to know about my WRX and he even told me about all the specs and conditioning of the car I forgot to ask about. He went over and beyond the standard for any salesmen and he treated me with the upmost respect and professionalism. He, the financial office, and even the managers and the boss took a decent chunk of time out of their day to help me with getting the single best deal possible with my car. I can’t say enough good things about Gateway Auto, their staff (especially Anthony), and my experience there. Got a good deal on our Explorer and are very happy with the sales experience. Service after the sale, however, is another story. The second key fob did not arrive with the vehicle or later with paperwork. We were told that another one would be ordered. Nine weeks later and still nothing. We have stopped in twice and made at least four phone calls. Frustrating!

On or around Oct 12 I traded in my 2007 ford mustang for a 2011 ford f150. So far my experience with gateway has been less than stellar outside of the initial sales experience. I'll start with my biggest issue to this point and time: prior to agreeing to make the trade I asked about gateway paying the tax and title which after a few moments they agreed to. A short time later as all the papers were finalizing my salesman emilio took my old plates off my mustang (along with my plate coveres) and informed me that when they received the check from the main office for the tax and title i could come and get my old plates and simply transfer them to the truck and it would save me money...which sounded great. Move forward and the lady at the front desk ended up having to mail me the check because my work schedule was very hectic and getting to gateway was gonna be near impossible. When I received the check i contacted emilio to ask about Getting my plates and his response was "I thought I put them in the truck behind the seats" I had just cleaned the truck and knew they weren't there so I messaged him back and was told he would look for them. Long story short through several messages back and forth including my coming into gateway he was never able to find the plates. The day came I HAD to register the truck or drive it illegally so I simply paid out of pocket for the plates and resolved to myself that I had probably just miss u understood but it hit me, if I had miss understood him why would he agree to look for them in the first place!? My next issue is with another request I made prior to sale...the battery had a large build up of corrosion so i asked about Getting it tested...i was told this was no issue and if I bought the truck they would schedule a time to have it looked at and if it was bad the battery would be replaced and if it was just dirty they would clean it....still hasn't happened. Finally and possibly the biggest issue, shortly after purchase it began to make a very loud squeak from the wheels. I took in the truck and was basically told it was either break dust/rotor rust and should stop shortly but to call back if it doesnt...i have chosen not too as my experience has been less than great with the dealership so far and have chosen to look elsewhere for the possible repairs

I had no vehicle to carry on my life, till Michael Valdez, salesman said he could help. He made my life easier buy assisting me purchase a vehicle, now can start being independent again loving precious life. All went well w the purchase of a Hyundai Tuscon until time for the final paperwork. Our salesman was an experienced knowledgeable genuine guy. The car is very good and the deal we got was fine. The finance guy not so much. My complaint is that 1. He didn't put the $900.00 due in tax into the loan. 2. He okeedoked me when I asked why I needed a $2500.00 service warranty when the car still had a manufacturer's warranty. Sorry he was the stereotype of a fast-talkin' car salesman. This is the first and last car we will purchase from gateway.

We had a tow hitch installed on our Nissan Pathfinder. They couldnt install the wiring harness so we had to take it to Nissan. After picking up our car we discovered the exhaust system had not been reattached. So we had to go back to Gateway and have them attach it. They also told us the hitch was actually for our car specifically. We found out from Nissan it was not. The final cost was suppose to be $300. After all said and done we had an additional $220 added for the harness installation. And it still isnt correct. Never will we go to Gateway again. They did give us a discount after all the issues. But now we have a jurywigged hitch and harness on our new car. Very dissappointing.
