I bought my first and only automobile in 2009. It was a used honda civic with 40,000 miles. Upon moving to Charleston, I have used Stokes for the past 10 years for the service of my car. whenever they are servicing my vehicle while I am working out of town, they are great keeping in touch with me via email. I feel like I am receiving service on a personal level. I have since moved to Florida, However when I am in the Charleston area I still have them work on my car. The last representative I worked with was Sean Collins. He was very helpful and informative when explaining the condition of my car. I have 140,000 miles on the car now and I plan to keep it forever

Garfield is an incredible salesman. We had such a great experience 7 Days ago purchasing our Odyssey, we purchased a second vehicle from Garfield today. I can’t express the effort and compassion he truly shows. His understanding and willingness to tackle the crazy sales tactics that some dealers have is beyond reproach. I’ll start off by saying they always have great customer service and I’m always pleased with this place. But today had a bad experience, made an appointment for an oil change on my car at 10:20am got out of there at 12:58pm to be exact. And no one had the decency to tell me that they were backed up. Until I asked if my car was done. One gentleman told me to wait 10 minutes that they were almost done half an hour passed I asked again and they told me 10 more minutes almost done. Very disappointing!!

Great dealership Sean was very helpful in the service department. Got me in and out quick and the technicians did a great job doing my oil change and inspection. Last time I went to wal mart and they stripped my drain plug and left grease all over the door. Sean got me a new drain plug and the mechanics returned my car clean and in the same condition I brought it in. Coming back to Stokes from now on!

I was traveling back home,from out of town when I realized I had a major car issue. Stokes Honda was the only car service open until 9pm. I brought my Toyota model vehicle for service to Stokes Honda. Honda was unable to fix the issue, however; what transpired was only The Most High blessings me with his grace by placing the right people in your life. I want to thank the two young men from Stokes Honda, who took pride in providing excellent customer service. The service technicians assisted with finding the cause of the leak, the parts I would need, the nearest Toyota dealership that would have the part, information on where to find the safest hotel, and a secure place to park the vehicle where it was be accessible for towing. The technicians did attempt to fix the problem,but as mentioned earlier where unable to. Because of these two wonderful Stokes Honda employees, my mother and I are safe at the Freds Toyota waiting for my vehicle to be serviced so we can make it home. Stokes Honda North was the most professional and easy going car dealership that I have ever visited. My saleswoman, Chelsea C., was an absolute delight to deal with! She accommodated my multiple test drive requests on different vehicles, without pressuring me to purchase on the spot. She also was willing to work with my schedule and made sure that all the different vehicles were available for viewing. When it came to the negotiating portion, the entire process was painless. I stated the price was I was willing to pay, and the they worked to meet me at that price without delaying trying any of the typical "car sales" scams to add to the price. UPDATE: I finally heard back from the Finance department. I'm improving the rating from one to three stars to reflect that they are now working with me as I need. I can't rate any higher due to the immense difficulty I had in getting a call back. my initial experience buying my car here a couple of years ago was fine, but now I can't get a call back from the Finance department. Unfortunately, I moved away from Charleston so I cannot just drive over to see someone in person. I have been calling and leaving voicemails for months (yes months, plural) and asked to be called back. I have yet to receive a single call back. I used the website contact form to ask them to put me touch with the Financing department -- instead I get called saying I was added to the list of people interested in buying a new car. Apparently, no one actually reads the message that you send in, instead your info is just given to a sales rep who calls you trying to discuss buying a car from Stokes.

I called to ask for an appointment for a oil change and the lovely lady on the phone talked to me like I was an idiot because I wanted an oil change on Friday. I’m sorry I didn’t realize that there is a mad rush for oil changes on Fridays. I don’t work in that line of business. I simply asked if there was a spot available to end up being talked down to. Wow I thought these people were in the customer service business. I’m going to go with she might not need to answer the phone anymore. Edit: I received a call with an apology and an appointment for my oil change not long after my review. While I had the issue with the one employee my experience turned out to be very pleasant with great service.

Service advisors are absolutely horrendous. If I had known they were this bad I never would have bought a Honda from here. First visit was bad, but thought it was just a bad day. Today it was worse than the first time. Beg you for a high survey rating but do nothing to deserve higher than a one. Love my Honda, but I need to find a different dealership for service. Took forever to appraise my car than offered me 6000 below trade in value. Once I got them to trade in value they added 1200 the car I was looking to purchase! There service center is also garbage, oil change appointments take 2 hours...would not recommend, there is no way they should have this many positive reviews unless Russian bots doing it...

After a year of search we finally decided to go with a new Honda Odyssey. While looking for a car, a friend referred us to Mrs. Kathleen Reece one of the Stoke Honda's sales consultant. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have met Ms. Reece for many reasons to include, rather than trying to push a sale, she took her time and explained to us all we needed to know to make an educated decision on our purchase', her attention to details about the Honda Odyssey operation, how to register the vehicle, explaining the registration, financing, and the servicing of our vehicle, to name a few of the extra courtesies Mrs. Reece presented to us. And it was with this level of trust and confidence she gave to us which helped us decide on our 2019 Odyssey. After purchasing over 16 cars in the past 40 years, this was the first time that both my wife and I felt extremely satisfied with what we got as Ms. Reece had taught us all we need to know about the vehicle before we purchased it. Her attitude and response to our inquires were unmatched by others we had met before. We actually were very surprised with her level of knowledge about cars, especially with the Honda products. Her honesty was clearly evident by the fact that she did not make up anything , if she was not sure , she would go and get the correct answer for us. We purchased our vehicle almost two years ago and had a very pleasant experience. However, I wish I would have never bought the warranty. It’s about impossible to get an oil change within a reasonable time frame. The last three times they have changed their policies. First, it was you needed an appointment for oil change, and then the next time it was first come first serve. Now today they have gone back to appointments only. And I was basically told sorry, you can wait two hours if you would like your oil change. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from a dealership.

Bought a 2018 pilot. Nothing but problems after six months into it. Trying to get service done is a JOKE! Scheduled a oil change for 8 am on a weekday and still took almost 5 hours and no the tires wasn’t rotated just a oil change. I could have done the oil change and rotated the tires myself at home on the ground less than an hour and half. Now the sunroof stopped working and the master tech doesn’t know why. Also the front end has a clicking sound that is similar to a cv shaft pop or transmission issue. So their idea was to replace the whole assembly. Also while troubleshooting the sunroof issue our dash lights stopped working the gauge cluster and radio still worked. They put the car on a lift in the air to hear the cv shaft sound and said they didn’t hear anything. The wife heard the sound when she pulled out the parking lot. They had to order the part which we was told takes 5/7 days to get in. So if it was 5/7 business days we waited till it was the 8th one just incase we heard wrong. After no call I called and got transferred around to people that had no clue what was going on. Finally I demanded to be transferred to a director “Cleavy I believe his name was “which turns out he was home sleeping at 8am on a Friday sick. He blamed all the call issues on their phone system smh. Finally got a call around 3pm on Friday that evening from a guy “Jack” who says I guess I’m you’re service adviser. And he doesn’t know anything about the part being ordered. He calls me back around 430 and says yes it’s here. So we scheduled for the following Thursday which is today. The car has been at Honda all day which we was told it would take all day. A different service advisor called me around 4 today and said we can’t hear that sound that you say comes front the front end. Maybe if they would roll the window down or have someone stand next to the car they’d hear it or clean their xxxx ears out!! So finally we get a call around six pm from Heather and we couldn’t get to the phone fast enough. We called right back as soon as she hung up and got no answer. We’ve left numerous voicemails with that number she called from and have continued calling since to the main number. And get transferred around to the phone just keeps ringing and we get tired after about 5 minutes of that. Called the main number again 10 minutes till 9pm and talk to Shelby that answers the phone saying she’s service but she can’t tell me anything about service on my car. And said “James Tucker” is with a customer and I can leave a message for him to call you. Never got a phone call and I asked to be transferred to him and I also left him a voicemail. Now all my problems are still happening and now a additional problem has started when driving 30/55 mph the rpms surge up and down causing the car to bounce up and down while driving. It can barley make it over a bridge. I was told by the service department Jack. Who ever he is that it is common and normal for that to happen. Uh no it's not! I work on cars I bought a new one for the wife to not work on and be worried about.

They advertise giving 100-200% Kelley blue book value for your car. My car is an Accord, 4 door,5 yrs. old, 20,000 miles, garage kept, well taken care of.They only want to give me 14,900 for it. Blue book values are 16,-18 k. Based on their add, they should be offering me at a minimum of 25-28,000, but 14,900? That would make me pay an additional 15,000- seriously? To them it’s only worth @7k. What a joke they are!! Been buying Honda,s since 1978. According to laws, I call it fraud, plain and simple

I truly love Honda cars the sales department is awesome but the service department is truly terrible . I bought 3 Honda Accord from Stokes Honda and today was truly the worst service ever on my 2016 Accord they replaced the battery within 36000 miles and less than 11 months that battery is no good and they don’t want to replace it, or prorate a new one i had to go elsewhere to purchase a new battery on something they should have replaced. I guess if purchase a battery it’s only good for eleven months if that’s the case they need to inform you of that. The service advisor James Turner was very unprofessional.

Went in to look at a car after calling to ensure it was available. upon arrival I was told the car is off site and in service and is likely not going to be sold because of mechanical issues. I expected better out of a large dealership to not post a car that they don't even intend to sell nor lour me to the dealer with it being "available". These types of sales tactics are exactly why large dealerships get bad reputations for shady tactics. Thank you so much Stokes Honda for wasting an hour of my day driving here.

The sales team is great. Never any issues. The service department could use some help. Arrived early Saturday morning and was the second car in line, left the car for an oil change and tire rotation. Returned over an hour later and was told my car was 5th in line and was going to be another 2 hours. I decided to leave and return another day after work. Once returned I asked for an oil change and tire rotation, paid for the services and discovered the next day my tires were not rotated. I will say once I informed the service department they were very apologetic and attended to the car right away.

Bought both our vehicles from Stokes. If you buy from them GET THE WARRANTY... It was so worth the money to get the warranty!! Oil changes are all covered and when my husband had an electrical issue... what should of been $1400 to fix cost us a $100 deductible. Also, at one point the warranty company was only going to pay part of the labor costs... Stokes picked up the rest because it wasn't our fault that the warranty company only covered so much. To me that shows a companies integrity to stand by their product and sale.
