I have purchased a lot of cars and this was by far the best experience! Between my sales person, Jared, and the Manager, John, I could not have had a better experience. Tommy was my Finance guy and he did an awesome job too. I was not in with him for more than 15 minutes. In the past, I have spent HOURS signing the deal with the Finance person. Probably helped that I sent my paystubs, auto insurance to them before I went back in and submitted my credit app online. It saved a ton of time. When I bought my truck the service was fine but almost every other time I've been back for service the employee attitudes are horrible. Came in at 1, very not many people getting vehicles serviced. Need an oil change and just to have someone look at the delay in my throttle not necessarily fix it. You would thought I asked them to replace the engine. They must be beating the employees in the back. Always unfriendly service.

I was driving down a road with no other vehicles, no bridges, no construction, no signs or anything that could have come from the sky, it sounded like a cannon went off above my head. Being a police officer, I looked around for someone to blame for what could have possibly caused my entire sunroof to bust above my head. There was no explanation. I called the dealership and they told me to call the insurance company. After questioning why I would call the insurance company for something that was not an accident unless a meteor had just hit my car, a manager came on the phone and expressed some concern for me driving the vehicle and told me to bring the car in. I then brought it in just for the service techs to laugh at my situation and basically call me liar because they “had never seen something like this happen”. For four days I had to go back and forth with the service tech who then put the blame on Chrysler and told me that I had to call Chrysler because they were denying them to be able to cover it. I called Chrysler for Chrysler to tell me that they were denying it because the manager was denying the claim. So each entity blames the other while the customer suffers without a vehicle. This experience has made me question ever buying another Jeep and reassured me that I will never buy a warranty package with Jeep due to them going above and beyond to blame everything that it could be instead of listening to the customer who ultimately is the only reason that they continue to have job security. I was terribly disappointed in the lack of professional and the overall bad business that has been exuded by Jeep and Chrysler.

My latest experience with Rick Hendrick had been very nice. Matt Johnson was my service advisor and he handled everything very quickly and professionally. He kept me updated on any possible changes and acknowledged my request to have a loaner car while they worked on mine. They found what the issues were and let me know immediately so I could move forward on it. He reminded me that my 10000 mile service was coming up and told me what I could put off until then. Many options and information and the communication is what made this a great experience. I will definitely be returning to this service center for any concerns I have.

Had a Ram truck towed to this dealership because of a sheared driveshaft. The truck was 2 years old and still under the Powertrain warranty at 36,000 miles. This vehicle is a service vehicle for our business and we expressed to them the urgency of us needing it back as quickly as possible. They insisted on holding our vehicle for 10+ days while they debated on whether or not the damage was warrantable despite being told that it would be after their initial review. This put our business in a tough spot and we were still denied the claim. Poor communication and lack of urgency has been our experience at this place on more than one occasion. We will be finding another dodge dealer to service our Dodge-heavy fleet of service vehicles.

I want to thank your service department for the wonderful sevice I received. As a person from out of state, it's not easy to know where to go for car repairs. After an initial visit for repairs that did not solve my problem, James Marsicano, my service manager, had me bring back my car. He personally took a ride with me to identify the noise I had been hearing. It was determined that my car would need to be kept overnight for additional repairs. James kindly arranged a ride home for me. Second time's a charm. Repairs were successful. James had talked with his supervisor and arranged for a reduced charge since initial repairs weren't successful. I feel James is a great example of someone who knows the meaning of customer service. You are very fortunate to have him representing your dealership.

I acquired a lease through this dealership on Savannah Hwy. The process was smooth for the most part. However, the aftermath has been quite the nightmare. Multiple times I have called in asking if I simply could get a copy of my lease agreement. Before getting a response to that question I was transferred to finance, service and sales. Each time directed to either voicemail or an individual with zero knowledge on the matter. The reason I was looking to get a copy of my lease was to consider a buyout before the end term. Figured I would reach back out to the 3rd party in which my payments were being paid. They were the least bit of help as well. I highly recommend not going through Ally Financial, if the dealership recommends so. In the meantime my Jeep has been totaled. An individual struck my Jeep and flipped it over, deeming the vehicle a total loss. At that point I reached back out to the dealership, because I really needed to see a copy of my lease to review the terms etc. I wanted to make sure I understood everything correctly due to the accident happening. Again, no help from the dealership and endless voicemails. Today, January 10, 2019, I signed onto the website and a rep was working the chat. She asked for my info and I expressed I really needed to speak to someone based on how many requests I've made to get a copy of my lease. She said someone from Sales would be in touch. First off, why would I speak to sales when their job is typically not to reach out about contracts. In between all this time I was told the contracts had moved off site from West Ashley into their North Charleston office. This may have happened a little over a year ago. This dealership is disorganized, poor customer service and poor experience overall. They have displayed their only job is to get a vehicle off the lot and revenue in their pockets. Which I understand to an extent. Sales equals stability. But you know what is even better? When a business actually shows professionalism, moral compass and customer service, to which this dealership has never exemplified. I will never present my interest nor money into this dealership in my lifetime.

I was told there would be a $140 charge to assess the problem with my car if I chose not to have the repair completed. A short later I was notified of the repair and was quoted $550+ for the repair, I said that seems really high to replace the back up camera. The technician said...oh wait, sorry I forgot to add a cost, it will be $790+ to repair. So, Rick Hendrick Dodge charges a $140 just to look at your car....regardless of whether or not you opt for the repair? I bought my car there, I have serviced my car there, but they have definitely lost my business-and certainly won’t recommend anyone to them. They are giving Jeep a bad name!

Excellent experience! I took a new job that supply's me with a company vehicle. So I had no need to keep my truck any longer. I went to Hendrick first to see what they would offer me. Then to almost every other place that give me an offer to compair. Hendrick's offer was the highest. I had no problem with the process. They paid my loan off about 12 days after I signed the paperwork. Everyone at the dealer was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them for anything vehicle related.

Service writer does job to spec and above. Diagnosis leaves everything to be desired. Car was in shop a month for random shutting off issue and suspension/alignment/drive ability issues that have not been resolved in 3-5 years. Said alignment was perfect and all suspension parts checked out in good condition. Picked car up and returned it less than 24 hrs later for exact same problems. Shut several times and pulled to the right and had different steering characteristics depending on previous maneuvers. It was there a week and I went to get tools I had left in the car and asked about it’s status. They said they drive it many many times and never shut off and alignment was dead on. Took it home and immediately knew alignment was very off. Then shut off several times. Issue not resolved. Not good.

had a dodge dealership work on 2 recalls on my ram....at first they tried to charge me to run diagnostics, $300. I said forget it. they then waved the fee. I then got a rental vehicle that in needed for work. A truck capable of towing a 16ft trailer. They said it would cover the cost. Next, the tech called me saying my break pads were low. i asked for a quote, didn't have one. told them i would talk to them later... called next day, tech wasn't there, told girl on phone i do not want them to change my breaks.... $1000 later they changed my brake pads without my consent. Not only that but dodge only covered $35 per day for rental, not the $110 i had to pay for a truck with towing capabilities. They said its their policy and sorry for the confusion. NEVER GO TO RICK HENDRICK IN NORTH CHARLESTON, SC.

Be sure to ask if the keys to the car you are buying cost extra. The fact is that I had a wonderful experience purchasing a 2 year old Jeep Wrangler. We love our Jeep. While there was no flexibility with negotiations, the price was within reason. The only surprise came as my wife and I were leaving the lot having completed the purchase. Our salesman informed us that there was only one key fob. He said he would search for a second one. After several days of leaving numerous messages, and a frustrating conversation with the sales manager, my call was returned to inform me that there was only one key, and that was just the way it was. I had been told by the sales manager that I could purchase a second key for $300.

I had moved to Charleston in July 2018 with a genuine interest in buying a new Jeep. I scheduled an appointment with Hendrick’s and I was scheduled to meet with Tony Kemp. I met with Tony and immediately knew he was the realest salesman I had ever worked with. I ended up leaving the dealership without a new Jeep in July, but I wasn’t even upset, because Tony had my best interest. He knew this wasn’t my first car buying experience and I wasn’t going to settle for just any deal. Each month he updated me with sales going on, what to do next in the buying process, and he even punched numbers for me each month WITHOUT running a hard credit check. Tony went out of his way for me non-stop to where I finally went back to the dealership 1 week ago, test drove another vehicle on Tuesday, and ended up coming back the next day to purchase the vehicle on Wednesday. I can honestly say if I didn’t work with Tony for the car buying experience, I probably wouldn’t have bought a vehicle so soon or even at all from Hendrick’s. I can’t thank Tony enough for everything he has done for me. Even after buying the car, I noticed little things that needed to be fixed that the dealership would need to address. Sure enough, even with the holiday, I received a call and text from Tony that we would be scheduling the repair ASAP. This guy goes above and beyond and if you’re considering looking at new or even used cars, please work with him. You won’t regret it!!

August 29, 2019 Today I took my 2017 Ram 2500 to Rick Hendricks Dodge on Savannah Hwy, in Charleston SC for scheduled maintenance. I had an appointment for 1pm, which I had set up a few days before. I arrived at 1245 and noticed how busy the staff was. It was easily after 1pm before I was signed in and shown to the waiting room. He told me it should only take between an hour and and an hour and a half to complete this maintenance(oil change and tire rotation) . After about 45 min or so, the service man, that signed me in, come to the waiting room to inform me that they had not forgotten ab me, but that another customer had to be put before me because they had an appointment. I informed him that I did have an appointment for 1 pm. He apologized and said he would go get it straight. At about 245 he returned and said that they were working on it and would finish soon, and then thanked me for my patience. At around 3, he was back and asked me to walk to the back and look at the truck with him. Once in the back, he showed me that they could not get my expensive aftermarket rims off bc it took a special socket. They discovered this too late, however, and had gotten one of the lugs stuck in their socket and couldn't get it out. They also showed me that a stud was missing from the wheel, which I do not recall missing, but cannot be sure. They claim that they did not do anything to it and it was missing when the truck come in. They were very apologetic and offered to credit me a little for the trouble and told me where to go to replace the lug nut. I had just purchased a replacement tailgate cap, and they also offered to install that for me. I returned to the waiting room and waited until well after 3, when it was finally finished. So, in all, it took roughly 3 hours to change the oil and snap on a plastic cap. As I pulled out onto the main road, I noticed a moist looking line on my hood. When I got to my destination, I investigated and found that it was ab a 6 in line of oil, on top of my hood. Not a smear... A bead of oil!. Then I looked around the truck to find oily hand and finger prints on the hood and doors. This truck is my dream truck and I paid a stupid amount of money for it! I work overseas and have just gotten home to enjoy my truck. The only reason I took it in is to keep my warranty valid. Or I would have serviced it myself. I just wanted to express my displeasure for the work that was done today! I still had to pay $93, for this crap show! I feel like I had to pay for my truck to be violated, just to keep my warranty! I thought taking it to a big dealership, I would not have any such issues. This was a pathetic showing! I will not be returning to Rick Hendricks. I am just sick about the entire situation. I had to burn an entire day, of my short time home, to have this be my experience.

I purchased a 2011 Nissan Titan from here. Getting my paperwork after paying cash was rather frustrating (multiple, multiple emails and calls), but I've come to expect that from a dealer. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. They provided a great deal on an oil change package at the time of purchase. I fully expected every oil change to be an upsell in "necessary" services for the truck, or to pay for additional quarts of oil (it's a 5.6L engine). But two oil changes so far, easy to schedule online, and zero upsell. This has been one the more impressive dealerships to work with, and I'm on my 18th vehicle so I've worked with many.

Went in for oil change and tire rotation. Asked for them to look at why one tailpipe was sticking out further than the other. Manager looked at it and refused to touch it and said it was installed wrong. Oil change and rotation went fast, hence the 3 stars instead of 1. Got home, loosened one but on muffler, slid it in and tightened it up. Problem fixed in 2 minutes. They could have easily done that and made a customer happy. Won’t be returning for service or to buy vehicles.

Why was there a lack of communication? This by far has been my worst service with Rick Hendrick. I should have never had to wait 3 hours for an oil change. I understand the hour to and and hour and 45 mins wait. To some it may seem that it is a "free oil change", but technically it's not because I paid for it when I purchased my car. After weeks of research, I came to RHJCDR prepared to buy a car I loved, only to discover that it had somehow acquired a long scratch down the passenger side that had not been there when I first viewed the car. I brought it up to the salesperson, who refused to fix the scratch or adjust the price. Disappointed and frustrated, I was ready to leave and start my car search over. However, I happened to run across Todd, who became my hero and champion, advocating to have the scratch fixed so I would be willing to buy the car. He is the reason my rating is 3 stars instead of 1. The car was purchased a week ago, and I'm currently waiting to hear back from Hendrick regarding the status of the scratch repair. It's Friday. They've had the car since first thing Wednesday, they called yesterday to tell me that it had been repaired - it hadn't. My husband had to, once again, garner the support of Todd to get anyone to do anything to help us. I'm NOT normally a "I'd like to speak to your manager" type - far from it. I think it's absurd that, not once but twice, we had to call in reinforcements (our hero, Todd!) to get someone to help us with things that should have been no-brainers. I sincerely hope that most of the salespeople are far better than the one we dealt with.

Had a complete electrical failure on a new van purchased three months ago. Turned out to be caused by a radio with an old software version. Update installed and problem fixed (took less than 15 minutes). Asked why the update had not been installed prior to purchase (it was available), and was told all vehicles do not fail so we only install updates after a vehicle failure. Asked if that meant the next time I buy a new computer, phone, etc, I should never waste my time updating the software until the device fails at a critical time, takes hours of my time and has me without the device for days. I was considered rude and I left with an understanding of how little Chrysler really cares about customers.

I stopped by on the previous Wednesday to get an express oil change, and was told that the wait would be an hour and a half and it would be better to make an appointment for a later date if I couldn't wait. I decided to make that appointment for Wednesday, April 24 at 9 AM, thinking that the oil change would be performed in a reasonable time frame because I had an appointment. This turned out to be incorrect, because the oil change took one hour and 45 minutes. Nobody bothered to tell me to expect a long wait, and when the oil change was complete the service advisor hustled me out the side door without providing a service record or receipt. Not a good experience.

Brought my girlfriend's Minivan in for A/C leaking it's 134a charge. The system has been leaking gas over 6 times with the frequency being shorter each time. Brought it in to this dealership and explained fully the problem and they said they would fix it. After a bill you would expect from a dealership and the minivan repaired they said they charged the system but could not find the leak? REALLY? Then they said if it leaks down they will charge $140.00 to look at it again! Well the 134a lasted three weeks! Anyone can go to a parts store and get the 134a and charge their system for a few dollars. And it looks like they do that too! So if you have A/C problems take it to a place that can fix it the first time and stand behind their work. I am very disappointed in their business practices and work ethic.

I recently received a letter stating that I was to be provided with a Chrysler certified warranty. However we ( Rick Hendricks ) have been unable to report your vehicle as a certified used vehicle to the manufacturer due to an open recall. In order to correct this we need you to bring your vehicle into our dealership to have the recall repair completed. Please contact us at your earliest convenience to have the recall service scheduled. If we do not hear from you within 60 days we will move forward with the understanding you do not wish to have the Chrysler certified warranty on your vehicle. When I call your service department they tell me they can not schedule or perform the recall service on my vehicle because the parts are on back order. The service writer at the North Charleston service location could not answer my question as to weather or not if the parts on back order were not received if that would cause me to not have a certified warranty on my vehicle. It is no fault of my own. The recall was active when I purchased the vehicle. I was not made aware of it though. Instead I am now giver a 800 number for Chrysler and left to deal with this myself. If I could give zero stars I would! I called this dealership on Monday September 16th at 6:30pm to check on the availability of a car on their lot. The sales rep said the car was on the lot, and they would have it ready for me to test drive on a Tuesday 9/17/19. I was unable to make it to charleston to the dealership due to a work issue so I called them on a Tuesday 9/17/19 at 11 am to let them know I was unable to make the scheduled test drive. They reassured me that the car was still on the lot and they would have it ready for me on Wednesday 9/18/19 to drive the car. So on a Wednesday morning I wake up to drive from Lexington SC to the dealership in Charleston. When I arrive they inform me that the car was sold Monday afternoon. I then. Asked what time was it sold on Monday and they said early afternoon, which meant before I called. Now this dealership knew the car was gone but still played me to think it was there. When I found out the news that it was sold two days ago and during the two times I called to inquire about the status of the vehicle the dealership decided to lie to me in order to just get me to there location. I had already told them on Monday that the only car I was interested in was the 2012 BMW X5 that I asked about. Needless to say this was the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership in all my years. It will be the First and LAST time I wast my time with Rick Hendricks anything. Again they should get zero stars but I had to give one in order to rate them.

Was told water leak coming from sunroof. Oddly there were no water marks on headliner when brought in. Covered in water marks when returned? Mechanic stated he cleaned the tracks out.
