We had a wrench show up on the display of our truck. We called two other dealers in the Charleston area, they didn't have time to even see what was wrong for a week or two. I will never go to another dealership!!! Every car or truck I buy in the foreseeable future will be from Ravenel Ford. I just bought an F250 from them and it was, by far the best buying experience, I have ever had. I have been looking for trucks for about a year and they just happen to have one I was very interested in. I found it online when I was out of town. The manager was kind enough to hold the truck for me for a week and a half until I got back in town on just my word no earnest money needed. The day that I came to the dealership I was very unprepared to purchase the vehicle and they did whatever it took to make the deal happen. I run a business for a living, and I have never in my life been so impressed by the friendly sales environment that this company promotes. Not only did I get one hell of a deal but the finance manager found me a much lower interest rate than I had been able to get from three other dealerships I had visited in the past. Thank you so much Curtis and Dewey the friendly service that you provided me was truly one of a kind!!!!!!

It was an excellent experience purchasing a car from Ravenel Ford!! I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family. The salesmen were not pushy and never made us feel like we needed to purchase one specific truck. They were all willing to help us find the best truck that fit our needs. The salesmen were also very knowledgeable about the vehicles that they were selling. We never experienced any situations where the salesman needed to go and ask "the boss" for a price of the deal. The prices on their website are accurate and they only try to get you a lower price if possible. Overall it was such a relief to work with a dealership that cared about the customers and wanted to ensure that the customers were getting the vehicle that was best for them.

My story with this bad company are: we are auto dealer, so one from our client want to buy 2011 Ford Taurus SEL, we find it with all our client options, so we started to contact the sales by email, but no answers, then i went to its facebook page, and send email about our order to all sales emails, but no answer!, I said may the company is very big and has many emails from their costumers, so decide to call them, the answer is the available, so we collect the money from our client, and at the second day sent many emails to get the Bill of sale, but no answer!, then call them, they told me: the car is sold at this morning!!! , we told our client with that, 2 day later i received Ad from the company, just visit the website, I found the car is still found, so I called them, they told me the car is still available!!!!!!, Charles and Joe said. many contacts by email to get the Bill of sale, after about 3 days i received the Bill of sale, I asked then to pay by wire transfer, but they said the payment only by check, before i Sent the check i called Mr Joe, if he able to accept the wire transfer, but he still only accept the check, 5 hour later i sent them email with our check picture, and later I sent the check and told them Robert, Charles, and Joe about sending our check. At the time Robert received our check he send us email that: the car is sold! So we want to help other to avoid wasting effort and time with this seller, except if they located near the company and if paying cash in hand, the seller don't respect our check and emails from about 15 days, and put us in bad situation with our client. Be careful to put your car VIN in your check!!!!!!

Awesome Dealership. I have bought several cars / trucks from Mrs. Marchant's dealerships over the years. If either dealership has what I'm looking for in stock it is a no brainer. Purchased a Ford F-150 truck 3 months ago. Sticker price was 14100.00. 3 months later we find out that we have a negative equity of $4000.00. We trusted this dealer and our financing through USAA. We did not think we needed to check behind Ravenel Ford on this pricing since USAA was agreeable to the price and our extended family had purchased up to 7 vehicles in the past. This truck had above average mileage that was not deducted from the value properly by either Ravenel Ford or loan processor. We are extremely upset about this gross error and feel that we were robbed.

We called in ahead to check on a truck that we liked, and Charlie said it was there, as we were driving in traffic from Charleston. We get there, and the greeting was weak, the truck was locked, and without a key available to even look inside...it also needed a part, so we couldn't even test drive....a simple "sorry it is not ready yet" would have saved us the time and gas...so disrespectful to waste people's time!

I saw a truck advertised by these folks, was interested, and I called. I was told the truck wasn't available yet; the advertisement had come out too early. I asked to be notified when the truck was available. I called back every day this week, each day, receiving a text that it wasn't available yet, but they would let me know when it was. Today, instead of the "it's still in the shop text", I received an "it's sold" text. Very poor customer service, very poor business, would not work with this dealership again in the future!!

My wife and I did a little online research looking for the perfect car for her and settled on a used Honda Civic at Ravenel Ford. It's a bit of a drive out to Ravenel from North Charleston, but the dealership is easily accessible from Savannah Highway. When we got there, we were greeted by Kameron. He was friendly and brought the car around for us to look at. Because the dealership isn't as large as some of the mega-dealers in the area, he asked if we'd mind taking the car for a test drive without him so he could stay back to help other customers. This was perfect and allowed us to discuss the car while we drove without feeling pressured by having a salesman in the car with us. We decided that we liked the car and negotiated with Kameron and the sales manager on a price that we all felt good about. The finance manager was courteous and quickly moved us through the process without any undue delay. At no time did I feel any pressure to buy. I'd definitely recommend Ravenel Ford to friends and family.

DO NOT buy your used car here. I am a 29year old mother of a two year old. I needed a reliable safe car to drive my daughter to and from school. The salesman swore up and down this was the car for me, Not even a week later the car started smoking out the exhaust, causing our whole front yard to fill with smoke. $1200 later the problem wasnt able to be fixed. It was a flood car from Katrina, the mechanic told us.Something that Ravenel conveniently left out. I now had to oil in the car every week. Fast forward 4 months and after dropping my daughter off, the car seized. I broke down, no warning, no lights, in the parking lot of another autobody shop. This time it was the entire engine. It is going to cost $3700 to get a new engine. This is all within 9 months!!!!

I couldn't give Ravenel Ford a better rating because I feel the parts manager was not truthful with me when I asked him to match the price charged on my new tires. He said, "that price online at Sears Tires does not include a $25.00 transportation fee on each tire. I was born at night but not last night. Typical indifferent parts employee attitude. purchased a slightly used 2018 F150 on 6/1/19. The overall experience was stress free and easy. No high pressure at all. However the salesperson I had needs to learn his product better. Although the issue is partly my problem for not test driving the truck but about 6 miles and I loved it...the salesperson said it had Navigation and it just needed a new download(it doesn't have Nav,you have to have a phone connected). Said it had remote start(it does not) Said he would text me the keyless entry code(he didn't).Luckily I have a high end scanner at my shop that allows me access to the body control module(I just think I should have not been the one to have to do it) I would definitely buy another vehicle from Ravenel Ford...I would just use a different salesperson

We had a great experience with Ravenel Ford. They really made us feel at home and at ease with buying a new vehicle. I highly recommend them! I had sent an email out to ALL of the dealerships in the area about what I was looking for and seriously, they were the ONLY ones that contacted me with exactly what I wanted. The other dealerships wanted me to come in and sit down for a few hours with the salesmen and go from there. Why? I told you exactly what I am looking for. I just don't have time for that. Who does?? They are a tiny bit further away than the other dealerships; however, both Mike and Joe made up for that by answering my questions (the numerous ones I had) and being absolutely so helpful. My son bought a 2000 Jeep Wrangler last Friday afternoon. He was pretty excited about buying his first vehicle. The next afternoon, he went out to grab some dinner and when he tried to leave the restaurant, the jeep wouldn't crank. He and a buddy kept at it until it started and ran long enough to get back to the base. When he got out of class on Monday, he call the salesman about the problem. The salesman said that he had to check with his sales manager and would call back, but never did. The next day, my son called again and was informed that he had bought a "sold as is" vehicle and there was nothing they would do other than do a free diagnostic check. Two days later he took off after school to get the diagnostic ran, but broke down halfway there. I convinced my son to get someone else to repair the jeep and it's in a reputable shop at this time. The repair costs are $760 for a bad fuel pump and crack manifold. I guess I understand that cars are sold everyday "as is", but this jeep was advertised as having $7000 worth of upgrades. I guess I'm just a frustrated parent of a young sailor who just wanted a fair deal on a decent jeep. It's mind blowing how a so-called reputable dealership is more interested in making a fast buck that going the extra mile to ensure our young military men and women have a positive experience during the stress and anxiety of making what is usually their first major purchase as a young adult. Thanks again Ravenel Ford for giving our son a truly educational experience.

Best car buying experience ever! Over the past 15+ years I have purchased 4 cars from Ravenel Ford and their price for new cars is always on the window and almost impossible to beat. They will gladly give you their price in writing and let you shop around, but in my experience the shopping around is a total waste of time. Other dealers will waste hours of your time and then finally, just before you walk out in frustration they will suddenly be able to meet Ravenel's price. Why would you buy from a dealership that wants to treat you like that???

The car we ended up buying, the 2014 Ford Escape (SE 4dr SUV (1.6L 4cyl Turbo 6A), was not one I was considering. However, the stars aligned, and we were introduced to Ted Blankenship, our Sales Consultant. I do not believe that I have ever met a more laid back sale consultant. Ted showed us everything, was easy to understand, never tried to pressure us, and was able to answer every question we had. Yes, this was not what I expected, but there was more. The tech guru, Joe Leopold, has been a charm. I think that the only thing better would be if I could video conference with Joe when I have a tech question. I think Ford should consider that in the next upgrade. Here is the downside to this vehicle. There are no maps. None. There is a directional module, but you can't see anything except the arrows that show you to turn. Really disappointing. I do want to say that everything else is pretty neat. Seats, windows, and mirrors are electric. The remote opens the back, and there is a button to close the tailgate. Seats fold flat, and the spare tire is easy to access. One more thing. We were offered the extended tire warranty, which we turned down. Big mistake. Less then 100 miles after we pulled out of the show room I picked up a screw that went into the sidewall. $170 for a new tire. The warranty would have been worth it.

Things aren't cheaper in the country. The salesperson was rude to my mother and the service desk lady was condescending. The person that was scheduled to look at her car wasn't working the day of the appointment. The mechanic I spoke with was a good guy and saved the overall experience. Maybe he should be managing this place.

I have a 2010 Black Ford Escape that wouldnt start after trying to program a key. I had it towed there and they first told me my keys were bad and that I needed two Factory Ford Keys. I went forward with that and it still wouldnt work. They then had a parts employee call me telling me that the fuel pump was bad and that they needed to replace it and that is going to cost me roughly 800 for the part plus labor. I asked what was wrong with the fuel pump and he told me that he didnt know that a mechanic would need to explain that to me monday but they needed to go ahead and order the part. I asked if that would fix my car and he told me he didnt know but that was my first problem. A lady also told me that the PCM (some computer in the car) might be bad and that it would cost over 900.00 for just the part. All of this is plus labor. And after all of that they still didnt know if that would fix my car! Long story short I decided to take it to Palmetto Ford Lincoln where they determined it was a simple switch that was tripped and they fixed it right away and offered to show me how to fix it if I ever had this problem again. There was nothing wrong with the fuel pump or the computer or anything else except for a battery cable that was loose but didnt need to be replaced right away. It makes me sad that i would have forked out thousands of dollars to this dealership if I hadnt have gotten a second opinion. I grew up in the car business and I hate the stereo type that all car dealerships take advantage of you because that is just not true. But in this instance I do feel like I was being taken advantage of at this dealership. If you need a repair get a second opinion before having this dealership fix your car.

Went there July 2 for an oil change and diagnose a check engine light. Diagnosed check engine light as leaking gaskets at EGR, Oil cooler, oil rail plugs, intake gasket and STC fitting. Quoted $2276 for repair. Since EGR and oil cooler were just changed some months ago, I declined. Now 3 months later the truck continues to run perfectly. BEWARE, these people are either incompetent or totally dishonest.

If you want your car to be in good hands and be repaired or inspected properly go elsewhere. This dealership will do everything they can think of to not honor a factory warranty and thier techs cannot even figure out what parts are stock and aftermarket. Once they realized the part they were blaming for the failure was original to the car and not aftermarket they switched to a different excuse blaming safety equipment (a fire extinguisher) inside the car and stated the car must have been raced in order to have that in the car. Thier story changes every time you communicate with them and eventually was told they would rather the car go somewhere else instead. Poor business managment, untrained and unknowledgeable techs, untruthful employees are just a few things wrong here. Stay far away if you want a honest and professional job done on your vehicle.

We have a 2013 Ford Fusion that we took in for service last year with an intermittent back up Camera issue. The diagnosis was to replace the camera so at that point the camera was replaced. Since then we have had our car in the Ford service department on three other occasions for the same problem. They have reprogrammed the module and replaced the camera twice. This week as soon as we arrived in our driveway which is about 1-2 miles away from the Ford Service department after replacing the camera again it stopped working again.. Now after misdiagnosing the problem again it has now pushed us out of our warranty envelope and they quoted us over $700 to replace the Camera Module. After explaining the series of events to the service manager they adjusted the price to $500 which we declined. We feel that due to their misdiagnosis on several occasions which caused us much inconvenience the Ford service department should step up to the plate and do the right thing but the service manager Deb Thompson refuses to. Just Purchased last 2016 Ford 150 work truck from them and purchasing a new one for our business this year but we will drive a little further this time to get our new one.
