Kudos to Jim Moody in the Service Dept for stepping up to take care of a situation. After finding out there was a problem (which sometimes happens), he reached out to find out what could be done to fix it. He kept open lines of communication, and got the issue resolved quickly. John Mount gave first rate service at this location. My Ford F-150 needed an oil change and a maintenance check up, and Mr. Mount was more than helpful. Purchased a 2017 Ford Explorer from Palmetto Ford. I have been bringing the car in for oil changes. Couldn't make a 3:30 appointment Wednesday (4/23) due to work. Called to reschedule and was told the only thing available was Saturday at 8:30. I told the service department I would call back after checking my schedule. Called back within 10 minutes and couldn't get through to the service department so I tried the main number to the dealership. The receptionist tried to connect me 6 times to the service department and either I got cut off or received someone's voice mail. Absolutely absurd to have to call 6 times to schedule an oil change. I actually am looking for a second car and it will not be Palmetto Ford. I will begin taking my Explorer elsewhere for an oil change. BTW - the car is not worth it - shoddy workmanship. Less that one year - battery failed, luggage rack detaching from roof, rattling in the rear hatch, and who knows what will happen next.

Things went well until the negotiations. Nice salesman who seemed knowledgable about the car. Things took a bad turn once we started talking numbers though. They tried to convince me that rebates and trade-ins tied in together. They wouldn't budge when called out on it. Offered me a whopping $2500 for a car I know they will resell at 9 to 10k, and said the rebates (another $2500) made up the other part of the trade-in value (still undervaluing my car). Don't waste your time here.

A business that has been around for decades. How? I have no clue. We bought two cars there and they really know how to drag the process along. It took 9 hours to walk off with the keys the first time and about 6-8 the second. Most of the time the people who work there are wondering around, playing on their phones, or chatting with themselves. Then when you get to the financial part, they sitting in the far back corner of the building whose office that smells like a old ashtray from the 70's that was never emptied, acts you are bothering him. There are far better and cheaper alternatives for buying a car around here.

Greg in service is the guy to go to. He helps all my family when it comes to getting their vehicles serviced. Today my sister went to get an oil change and was greeted by Robert Pace who wouldn't get greg for her and told her since he greeted her that he would be helping her. This place has been hit or miss for me. The sales department was nice when I bought my car, the body shop was even more helpful and accommodating the first time I came to have a scuff removed. But the service department is severely lacking. Advisers never seen to call when they say they will, are away from their phones for long periods, and are terrible at estimating service times. At my last appointment, my car wasn't ready at the stated time and took an additional 6 hours before work was completed. So, mixed experience.

I am so grateful that I have a Chevy and deal with Rick Hendricks. This is not even my issue, but my sister. 1st there was a recall on the airbags, fine, your going to fix that for free, but you have people who apparently don't know what they're doing because she got the car back and AC not working, cause you had to pull the complete dashboard off. Take it back and they say, it is a totally different issue, so she has to pay, $$$$, so they called yesterday and said car was ready, I got off early from work to go get car for her, to be told, no we don't think we called her, but maybe it was a follow up call from 1st issue... my mom whose 91yrs old said she heard conversation , and heard my sister say, can I pick it up tomorrow..... This is the WORST

August 28th 2019 I sent Jeremy a message through facebook after looking at his reviews and seeing he was friends with a friend of mine. He promised he would contact me today in which he did. I had shared with him about an experience i had gone through 4 weeks earlier and asked whether he could help. Jeremy Parrish went out of his way to at least try to help me with a vehicle that i was attempting to purchase from Palmetto Ford. Unfortunately the sales manager and i couldn't come to an agreement but Jeremy still didn't give in, That is why this review is so important. I have been in sales for 33 years this year and Jeremy went beyond the pay check to try to get me in the vehicle i was after. Most would have said i am sorry and kicked you along after the first 15 minutes but Jeremy, stayed after it for 4 hours. Early this month I bought a used Ford Mustang from Palmetto Ford on Savannah Hwy. After "Dorian" I took my car to the car wash and noticed a lot of water dripping inside my car. I was so disappointed. I went back to see the Used Cars Manager "Andrew" and explained the situation. Without hesitation, Andrew provided me a replacement car for the duration of the repairs. After only 3 days, I had my car back. The service was much better than "Excellent". The employee who was assigned to my car spent time explaining what the issue was, how he did to fix it, and told me how to prevent such issue to happen again in the future. WOW... Really? I have never had such professionalism from anyone before in my life. Thank you ALL for everything that you did. Having such great experience shows me that this team is managed by the best managers/owners who care about their business and care about us, the customers.

I am extremely disappointed in the way I was deceived. Was told by Allan Glass that the car was serviced and thoroughly inspected. Went to pick up the car and I was told by Allan Glass, the oil change light was on but he assured me the oil change was done. (No lights when I completed the paperwork the day before) So, I went to the place I normally get my oil changes from. Oil life 15% and valve cover gasket is leaking on the front & back. The mechanic suggested I take the car back, which I did with the receipt and an estimate. Mr. Glass said, Im a manager in that dept. I'll take care of it. Long story short, it's a week later and nothing. Beware before you sign. 3 MONTHS LATER... I have heard absolutely nothing from anyone about this issue since I left the car lot. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE!

"Terrible service and customer satisfaction. Never Shop Here." WARNING Nightmare experience from start to finish. Tom Slawson sold us a BAD truck. Within the first week (day 4) of having the truck (we paid over $20,000 for), the truck was idling low at red lights and stop signs and shutting off completely (when not moving in drive). I took the truck back 3 times during the first month of owning the truck and the problem still occurred. I HAVE VIDEOS OF THE TRUCK IDLING LOW AND SHUTTING OFF. Salesman Tom Slawson physically rode in the truck and felt and experienced the problem. The service manager said he was embarrassed that his team couldn't figure out the problem. (most likely they didn't want to fix the problem because it would cost too much)... When I I told them I didn't want to keep the truck, I wanted my van back. He lied and told me it was sold -at the same time it was listed for sale on their website for $7000 more than the $5000 trade in he gave us. We verified the VIN. Then he says, "Oh, I was told it was sold." He then proceeded to try to UP SALE me to a truck that was 10,000 more expensive. No thank you. He then brought in a truck that was bought at an auction from enterprise rental that was in bad shape (we had it checked out, the service tech said it looked "dogged out" and the engine was hastily sprayed down (with something to make it appear cleaned) with high mileage (26,000 miles) for a 1 year old truck -still for more money (UP SALE) than the original truck we bought. At this point we have completely lost trust and were just trying to recoup our losses with Palmetto Ford, because we know we CAN NOT TRUST them. We wanted to find something as close to our original trade in value of our vehicle (since they really did get rid of our vehicle in the meantime of trying to up sale us). We would spend our money (and buy our big purchase of the truck) elsewhere. The nasty and horribly tempered manager LANE ARNOLD refused to give us the original $5000 trade in value of the van we traded in on the truck weeks before. Keep in mind that the truck we bought was in the shop at Palmetto Ford 3 times for more than 80% of the time we had it in our possession. Over 8 weeks of this TERRIBLE and STRESSFUL NIGHTMARE SITUATION. We ended up losing over $2000 of our trade in value because the manager refused to be MORAL and ETHICAL and just do the right thing and give us OUR ORIGINAL TRADE IN VALUE WE WALKED IN WITH towards the car we bought. They treated the transaction as two different sales and refused to give us our original trade in value towards the vehicle we ended up with. We would have just taken our van back if we could have and been done with them. The only relief is knowing that we will NEVER have to do business with Palmetto Ford again. I don't usually leave reviews unless they are good reviews OR as a REAL WARNING for people to BEWARE. All about the bottom line for these guys. They don't care about the people. BUYERS BEWARE. Went to get an oil change and asked for a quote on a repair but didn't get a repair quote. Someone thought it would be funny to write "fix me" near the damaged area. Then received a call from someone asking that the tweet I posted that contained the same as above be removed. If you didn't want negative comments, then don't write on people's vehicles. :) Edit: 9/7/18: Someone at this dealership has called multiple times and even emailed multiple times as well. If no one answered you the first time or called you back, or even provided a number for you to call instead yet you didn’t call it, stop trying to contact.

Prior to 2 months ago I would have recommended Palmetto Ford's service department to anyone looking to have work done on their vehicle, and have done so before on many occasions. I took my '95 F350 in to have the transmission replaced and that job was completed on time (6 days) and to estimate ($4600). 6 days later the transmission starts shifting late and hard in the low 2 gears and won't stay engaged in the high 2 gears. After limping it back to the dealership I'm told the entire electronic control system is shorted out from the speed sensor, PCM, and odometer completely apart from any of the work done. I pay for the repairs ($1400) and lose my truck for another 13 days. I had to pick my truck up after normal hours and, on the drive home, find that it still won't fully engage 3rd or 4th gear. I bring it back for a drive with their technician where I learn they never took it above 35 MPH on a road test before giving it back. The service center refused to cover a rental vehicle while performing "warranty" repairs which are still on-going (17 days). Today (Day 17 23MAR18) I went to the service center to speak with the manager about my need for a second vehicle for my family based on work schedule. I was told that I should just expect these problems with parts availability and sudden failures owning an older truck, that it is not their fault it was returned broken, and they will not provide transportation or cover a rental despite the time involved and the lack of a clear completion date. I have never been spoken to in such a condescending manner or received such poor treatment from any repair company or dealership in my life, especially as a repeated customer. Update: The morning of day 18 (24MAR18) I got a call that the service department will be covering a rental until repairs are finished. Update 3APR18: Finally got my truck back fully repaired. After the events above, the service was the high quality I had come to always expect from Palmetto Ford. I hope that my bad experience will just be a blip on the radar.

Service was great I went in with my truck 2005 Ford f250 transmission was not shifting I had them put it on diagnostics for two things at $180 a piece $360 total I saw Greg and service as I took it in very nice man very great guy went through everything that needed to be done they called me text me very thorough Are the transmission serviced new shifting modulator had a number 5 glow plug replaced with the harness and the controls I had the thermostat replaced when new radiator hoses I had the fuel sensor replaced I had the oil line that runs to the turbine replaced I had the oil changed transmission serviced flush radiator all this come to approximately $5,700 and some change The downside even though the truck has Michigan plates on it and I'm here for work and I've been here for 10 weeks The dealership ask for a good faith deposit. As far as I'm concerned any company that's well established should not ask anyone for a good faith deposit unless they're ordering the special or custom product. So the show them my good faith I went in and dropped $5,000 in cash and they had my truck done in two days that's right 2 days However with the good faith in them they waived from what I understand is to be true the $360 for the diagnostics whoever the mechanic is that did my truck I want to thank you very much I'm sure you did a great job whether it be one mechanic or two or more I want to thank you very much for having my truck done on such short notice considering I'm from out of state and paying for rental car out of my own pocket thank you Manuel Vega PS I have been to a lot of Ford dealers in the past as I travel around the United States as a general contractor superintendent and I want to tell you but you are the best and the only Ford dealer it has went above and beyond the call of duty to take my truck in and have it done in such a short notice thank you

In 2014 we bought a Ford Fusion from Palmetto Ford. Great sales experience. Fast Forward to 2016 and one of the keys used to start the car broke off the handle that it is attached to. No problem, I've got another key. So I used that other key and low and behind that key breaks in the same manner as the first key just this morning after almost a years use. This time the key broke off in the ignition with the car running. My first thought was to stop at Palmetto Ford as I was under the impression someone would realize the faulty nature of the key and rectify the situation. I was received at the parts department and told the KEY is no longer under warranty. I completely understand the need and use of a vehicle warranty in relation to the working parts of the vehicle (i.e. engine, transmission, and so on) but a KEY should not have a warranty. The simple fact is, due to poor design, these keys broke. I was thoroughly shocked by the lack of care showed by the parts department. I understand you do not want to replace my key, but I would think some amount of pride that you have in the vehicles you sell (and the keys) would move you to look for a solution rather than take the "easy way out". It's a shame a great sales experience can be completely ruined by an unsympathetic or unwilling to help parts department. Palmetto Ford is a sum of all its parts and as a result, I would highly recommend looking for vehicles at other locations as this one does not look to exceed customer expectations.

I found the truck that I was interested in on their website and then went to look at it on New Years Day. They were closed that day so we came back to test drive it on the 2nd. Tyrell, our salesman, was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. After driving the truck, we knew it was the one for us. Zero stars for the maintenance shop. My Truck has a faulty tire sensor, The dashboard info reads Faulty tire sensor, I tell the person servicing my truck that I have a faulty tire sensor but i get charged $80.00 for a diagnostic fee to see if I had a faulty tire sensor. A complete rip off, I will never buy another Ford again and i have owned many Ford cars over the years. Shoddy ,tricky, sly and dishonest .I will be reporting this operation to every legal body that will listen to me. Shame on you Palmetto Ford.

"The Presidents Award" is the top of tier award a dealership can get. It sets the bar high on all levels, sales, service, finance and customer satisfaction. Its not just an award to who sells the most vehicles. You have to be exceptional on all levels and really work to make your customers happy. I know having worked at a "Presidents Award" dealership, Battlefield Toyota & closely with its sibling Battlefield Ford prior to moving this Oct to SC. So when it came time for me to purchase another vehicle, I was thrilled that one of the best deals I found online shopping was by a "President Award" winning dealership! I had tried my best to reach out to someone about the truck all weekend and was unsuccessful. Being the end of the month and a weekend I chalked it up to them probably being very busy. Monday I decided to just bite the bullet and take the long ride out. Unfortunately, the truck got sold before I got there that same day. I was pretty irritated given that I had tried to reach out and was unsuccessful for 3 days and now the truck was gone. Bill Hunt, approached me and said he would be more than happy to try and help me find another vehicle. I explained to Bill Hunt I already knew that none of the other used trucks was what I wanted and didn't think we would be able to get a new truck in my comfortable price range. Bill said come with me. Bill walked me into the Sales Manager Thomas Gigliotti and explained to him my situation and what had happened. Thomas greatly apologized and promised that if I'd give Bill and him a chance to at least try to make it right, they'd work with me. Bill and I walked the lot, and Bill Hunt was very patient with me. We looked at serveral trucks and then we found one. 2019 F150 XLT 5.0 4x4 loaded with just about everything the used truck I wanted had. After a few minutes Bill and Thomas came back, with such a great price! We moved to the next step of Finance, this was going to be the key for me. Again I was met with such great service and patience by Michael Kalinowski that he got me a better monthly payment and percentage than my current bank could. I fully expected for them to try and make as much money off of me here as they could, but they didn't. Michael listened to what I wanted and did his best to make it happen. Having only purchased used vehicles in the past, these guys made my first NEW VEHICLE purchase such a easy experience! Hats off to these guys for their service and time! To find a Sales Associate like Bill Hunt who wasn't pushy and honestly cared about the customer, and a Sales Manager like Thomas Gigliotti stepping up and being as transparent as he was on the price, that's a place I can recommend! Looking forward to getting the truck back from getting the bed liner done and I have no doubt that down the road the service department will be like the "President Award" winning sales team I dealt with, and the one I came from. The service department turned the already bad experience of owning a Ford Focus into a nightmare. From telling us our vehicle was ready when it actually wasn't to misleading explanations in regards to pricing, it was truly a horrible experience. The way we were spoken to when we tried to communicate our confusion and frustration was completely unacceptable and left me in tears. I am truly appalled at how the situation was handled. Worst customer service I have ever experienced! My boyfriend bought his car from Hendrick Chevy across the street and the engine light came on so they sent us to palmetto ford to get it looked at. I called the ford place yesterday and tried to get an appointment today for the car to be looked at spoke with John Mount after 10 minute of him having an attitude and be disrespectful to us for no reason he told me he couldn’t see us Saturday that we would have to drop the car off Monday morning at 7:30am and couldn’t pick it up until Monday evening and that was just to look and see what was wrong, so I said well we will be in there tomorrow morning. Got to the ford place at 9:30 and he said he could take the car in and look at it well two hours later he said the car was ready to be picked up and the part would be there Tuesday morning and he would call us Tuesday afternoon to set up an appointment to get it fixed we went to go pick up the car and asked if we could pick the part up and take it to another ford place to get it fixed or if they can send it to Summerville ford and have them fix it because we didn’t feel comfortable enough for them to work on his car John then said that we cant do that but we can cancel the order and go some where else and if we canceled the order we would have to pay him out of our pockets for looking at the car, now get the car is a 2017 mustang only 12,000 miles on it so it’s still on the factor warranty therefore we don’t have to pay for anything but we was making us pay for him looking at the car so we left and went back to where my bf bought the car and they got on the phone with John and he gave them nothing but attitude the whole time so we came to Summerville ford and are having a great experience and awesome service.

Only went here for the free oil changes on a 2017 Ford Escape. Which took 2-3 hours to complete with an appointment all 3 times. Asked them to also check tires (light came on) and alignment due to some minor wheel pulling. They called back and said everything was fine with the tires and alignment. The tech said it was probably due to the change in temperature outside (tire light on). Then he recommended to change the cabin air filter. Out the door price of $150... He said it was just too hard for someone not mechanically inclined to do without damaging other components that were in the way. I guess it was a good thing I was listening on speaker phone when he called my girlfriend. The filter was $13 dollars on amazon and took me 10 minutes to change. Also one of the tires was 18psi low. Thanks Palmetto Ford Lincoln for the horrible service! Also good job at keeping the stereotype about dealership service departments alive! Now I have to check the oil change you "performed".
