I Purchased my 2016 Lexus NX200T from a dealership in Chattanooga, TN while out of town. I had terrible issues with that dealership unfortunately, and found myself getting them resolved here at my local Jim Hudson dealership. Since then, I have made all of my scheduled services trips to Jim Hudson and have developed a professional working relationship with my service advisor, Danny Chupek. It sounds silly, but I look forward to dropping my vehicle off there, speaking with Danny, and admiring the excellent customer service and superior experience I get every time I'm there. I'm terrible about buying a new vehicle every year or two, and Im confident that through working with the staff at Jim Hudson I will certainly be keeping all of my future business with them, along with any of my family and friends looking into the brand. We went in today and worked with Jasmine as our sales women, she turned immediately into family! My husband and I seriously picked the perfect place to buy his car! We came in for a specific car and walked out in exactly what we came in for. There was no attempt to change our mind. The process of course is nail biting, but every person from Chris, Eddie, and even Wes made the entire experience as calm as they could. Everyone is extremely laid back and friendly! Took a little longer than most for our personal needs that we came in for, but it was 100% worth the wait! I can't wait to go back for a car for myself!! I traded in my IS350 for a brand new RX350 9 years ago before I left Fort Jackson - the dealership was located on Two Notch back then. My RX is still going strong, of course. The Army has since moved me to Washington state, down to Columbus, GA the to Hawaii, and now I'm back in the Savannah, GA area. I'm due for a new Lexus. Despite the 3 or so hours drive, I'll be returning to Jim Hudson Lexus in Columbia when I make my next purchase. This dealership is by far the best Lexus dealership in the locations the Army has sent me to and including 2 dealerships in Texas (Dallas and Austin)! Special shout out to Mr. Byron Coward!

And, the most surprising thing is the special treatment isn’t just reserved for the customers spending the most money! I received excellent (above and beyond) service when I came in with my used 1998 Lexus ES (that had 104,000 mi. and was not purchased from Jim Hudson) and yesterday when I bought my “new to me” 2015 Lexus RX 350.. It would be 5-star but for the getting out process. CHECKING IN: Very good. Great. Made the appointment on-line. No hiccups at all. WAITING: Your waiting area is the best I have ever experienced, hands-down. CHECKING OUT: Lost a star here. This car, and our last Lexus, gets serviced at Jim Hudson exclusively. Somewhere in the servicing process the closeout process just breaks down. I always get contacted in the waiting area that the car will be coming right up, and then, 20-25 minutes later, that happens. ISSUE -- the car had the oil/filter service. The new oil change sticker shows next oil change is 55,596 miles, putting the cars odometer at 51,596 miles when the oil was changed. When I got in the car the odometer read 51,604 miles. Unless you took the car 4 miles away, (8 round trip), or the odometer is faulty, the car was driven by someone for 8 miles. That should not happen.

I visited this location August 1 2019 because the battery in my 2013 GX460 had died the day before. There is a sticker on the battery that says 4/17, so the battery is 28 months old. In large writing on the battery states "84 month warranty". The man I spoke with at this dealership said the warranty only applies to the original battery and since this is a newer battery there is no warranty. "No warranty at all I ask?" He says "yes, there is no warranty on replacement batteries". So I say, "so you're saying I'd be better off buying a battery from Autozone that comes with a warranty?" He says "yea". Enough said, I guess I'll look for a new place to have my service needs met. Update (8/16/19). The day Lexus offered to resolve the issue, I called, left my name and number, and referenced the review. It's been 3 weeks now, and no one has returned my call.

Impossible to get a response. Finally had to use the contact form at Lexus today as no one would give me the survey promised after the survey. Bottom line, if you're not buying the car from this dealership, don't try to take it here as you're basically not worth a lick to them. Previously owning a vette, the experience with Chevy was night and day better than what I experienced here. Can't think of a single reason why I would ever buy a Lexus if this is the only place in town to work with.

First time in 58 years that I purchased a vehicle from a dealership. If I live long enough I will buy another car here. The staff is very accommodating even when you are just looking. Mark Wickham was my sales professional. He was straight forward when I asked questions, letting me know the answers as well as when he did not know, he told me. I'm old school and like to read the manual in my hand, not on a computer screen. The car did not have one, so Mark went on eBay and purchased the factory set with the Mercedes-Benz leather pouch. I checked the internet when I got home and it was also the most expensive. Several ads had an owners manual but not all the books that made up the complete set, which is what I received today. All of this without being asked. Customer service is not dead a Jim Hudson Lexus. Check it out for yourself.

No, but at this point I put a lot more blame to Lexus as a company than I do to this dealership in particular. I'm still in the same boat for now, but at least I have been contacted and have someone in my corner trying to help out. I was told by the service department to come in and have my dash evaluated for repair under a recall program where Lexus was sued for defective dashboards that crack badly in hot climates. The VIN was given and researched, and upon completion of this, I was told no problem, bring it in and we'll order the replacement and install at no cost to you. After I left work an hour early and drove 30 minutes to get to the dealership, I was promptly turned away because "ohhh, that recall is expired" and I was quoted around $2500 to replace the defective dash. Did the dealership give me some bogus info and waste some of my time? Yes, but this issue is more on Lexus themselves than anyone else. Can you even trust Lexus to stand behind it's product? If there's a recall or a defect, it seems like you're just out of luck...maybe consider a different luxury brand instead.

I have always received great service the only reason I didn’t give it 5 this time because the technician that drove my car left oil hand prints in my ceiling from pulling the shade on the sunroof which I feel didn’t need to be bothered since I was there for my first 5000 mile service which was a tire rotation and oil on the door. I had to get a Tide pen to remove the stains from the ceiling which is the light tan color

First off I’d like to say that for the most part we had a good experience at this dealership. Mainly dealing with Lalo, our sales rep. He was very professional, informative and polite. He knew when to talk and when to listen and let me and my wife talk and think things though. We never felt pressured or felt like he was trying to “sell us something” even though he was, he was professional about it. Even when I knew he was getting frustrated (because we’re humans we can tell) he handled it well and held his emotions in check 5 stars for Lalo. I will give you a rundown of the evening starting with the phone call we received from Lalo. Lalo calls me and my wife around 5:30pm. We had just got back to the house after a day of running around and we’re laying in bed relaxing. The first call went to voicemail because I didn’t know the number. After checking my mail I called him back and as you can guess he’s quite happy to hear from us. He tells us (on speaker) that It’s the end of the month and he needs one more sale to make corporate goals for a bonus for the dealership, fair enough. I should say that he had our number because we were in there a couple weeks ago looking at cars because my wife’s birthday is in December. We explain all this to Lalo and he understood. We took his card exchanged information and all that and told him we will reach out to him and work with him when we’re ready to buy. He said he would keep in touch and send notice of any deals and or specials that may come up between now and then. Back to the present. We tell him on the phone that we were in bed resting and reiterated that we weren’t really looking to buy until later this year, and that it would have to be a really great deal for us to consider buying now. He understood and told us about the importance of making the company goal he mentioned earlier and after a little back and forth about our current car as a trade in and all that we got dressed and headed down to the dealership. 6:25pm at this point, keep in mind they closed at 6pm. We get to the dealership at7pm. We met with Lalo and went over a few options we spoke about over the phone as far as packages and features and color of the car and all that until we decided on the one we wanted to take for a spin. Of course when we get to the car it is blocked in by another car and he has to go back to the building to get the keys lol. After the test drive it’s time to get to the nitty gritty so to speak and sit down to go over numbers and see if we can make this happen. Now for the not so good (downright unpleasant) experience at this dealership. This is where it starts to go bad. After a good bit of back and forth and the normal negotiation process we can’t quite get where we want to be as far as out the door price. This all takes time mind you, and we didn’t get started until after 8pm as far as negotiations are concerned. We still can’t get to where we want to be. I will say this though, the deal they were offering was good, the main issue here was the trade in purchase of our car. I felt we could have gotten more than they were willing to give. This would have made the deal right for us and kept it close to our initial budget. That being said, me and my wife were thinking about it. And this is where it went very bad. It’s now 9pm and I’m guessing it was the financial manager I’m not sure but he comes in and tells us in the most unprofessional way I’ve ever heard that they’re closing the doors and we need to leave now, now, now. No more anything. Heck he even cut off Lalo when he was trying to explain that we were thinking about it and going over our options. He even said we could call the general manager Monday if we wanted. He held the door open and escorted us out and locked the door. We felt like we were getting tossed out of a bar after last call. It felt dirty. I understand people get frustrated, I get it, but there is no excuse for the way he treated my wife and I. I have pretty thick skin I can take it, but one look at my wife as we were walking to the car said it all.
