Buying a vehicle can be a nerve wracking experience but the folks at Jim Hudson Ford make it a lot less painful. The sales staff are on point and do something a lot of places don't do, they listen to you. They point out what you need based on your wants and desires. I worked with John Cook and Ronnie Tyler and you should too. The paperwork was even simplified and painless, Jeff explained everything and insured we got all our bonuses and the best rate. I think the best thing you can say about any car dealership is you would buy from them again, and I certainly will.

It was Friday afternoon and I realized I was overdue for an oil change in my new Escape. I had to go out of town on Sunday so I rushed to the dealership hoping for the best but expecting that I would have to wait for another week before service. I was returning from the beach and wheeled in to be pleasantly surprised that they worked me in and had me back on the road in less than an hour. My dad always taught me that changing the oil was the life of a car. THANKS JIM HUDSON! I will be back in 5000 miles.

We had an issue with my wife’s car overheating and brought it in a couple times and were told they couldn’t find a problem. After moving to Aiken it was happening again so we took it to the Ford dealer here who identified the code and we were told the vehicle wasn’t under warranty so it would be a $1200 repair. After speaking with Greg, he spoke to the local dealer about how the vehicle had been in last year with the same problem and not given a code. Greg worked with the local dealer to get the part replaced for no out of pocket expense to us.

stopped by to schedule a service call for my work van. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Nice facility, not the newest or biggest, but clean and neat. A well maintained facility conveys a message of quality. Now, let's hope the actual work I have done in a few days reflect the same thing... Update: had some work done on a new/ used van just purchased from the dealership here at Jim Hudson Ford, and they were quick to get the issue resolved, very friendly, and seemed to do an excellent job. So very glad I found this dealership. After days and days of complete bull from my local dealerships I found Jim Hudson online. Found a vehicle I was very interested in. I gave them a call the next morning for info on the vehicle and to talk numbers as I had a very strict budget. My sales rep Jim A. Was absolutely amazing. We played phone tagged all day long without a single complaint from him.(I live 2.5hrs away from the dealership and wanted as much info and ducks in a row as I possible could before making the drive). He got me everything I needed and got me a great money for my trade in. He got me the payment I wanted over the phone so we made the drive. Test drove it as soon as we arrived it was waiting for us. No hassle and no wait. After we test drove and made a VERY thorough inspection of the car we went inside the finalize the papers and for them to test drive our car for trade. The process was super fast! They eneded up getting the payment even cheaper upon arrival and we were super grateful for that. Jim A. Was fantastic. In my eyes it's hard to even call him a salesman. I was always straight up honest with how I felt with him and he did the same. He feed me no bull! He went above and beyond for my needs! Which is saying alot because I asked for ALOT and was super demanding! He meet every need!

Last time I will go to this dealership service department they lied to my wife about service. Told her she had an 8am appointment for Service check on programing keyless entry. After 6 1/2 hour wait they forgot her vehicle said leave it overnight. Service manager was rude stating that my wife does not know about a simple remote should not have brought the truck in for such a simple check. Will not recommend Jim Hudson Ford for anything related to a vehicle. I would not trust them to check the sir in my tires

I took my truck to the closest Ford dealer and was told I would have to make an appointment for 2 weeks later. So I left there and drove a little out of my way to Jim Hudson Ford in Lexington. They said they could get it in that day. They had to order the parts but my truck was fixed within two days. I rented a truck from them while they had mine and they did not even charge me for it. Top notch in my book. I highly recommend and will be going back for sure when I'm ready to upgrade.
I bought the maintenance package and within a month got a nail in my tire. I brought it in without an appointment and they replaced the tire fast. I did not have to pay for the 280 dollar tire for a premium mustang. The customer service was almost better than the maintenance package covering the tire loss.
I had an excellent sales rep, Terrell Hicks, who looked out for us and walked us through all the steps. Great guy, and we will be seeing him again! All the folks at the dealership were great!
This doesn’t even deserve 1star, but you have to select to write a review. I’ve just had the WORST experience with a service repair department ever dealing with a dealership. The service advisor BOB was very rude and unprofessional when I questioned repair cost seeing as the main damaged part was covered by warranty. Not only did he threaten me over the phone to make me pay MORE because of my “attitude,” but he threatened to make me pay FULL price and INTENTIONALLY not use my warranty for repairs!!! Who does that?? I will say Alan the service line manager and Nikki in service recovery were nice, but I didn’t see the accountability for their employees behavior. They basically apologized, but that employee walked away without giving me or my husband an apology. Very very poor experience. Truck was there 5days.

Had a air bag put in but it took them 4 days to let me know my truck was ready. Not impressed with the customer service. They took down the wrong number but never looked at the phone number in their system. I called for two day but couldn’t get anyone to call me back until I pushed to talk with the Service Manager. I would never purchase a car or use the service department unless it is a warranty repair.

Worst service department I’ve ever dealt with. Called 5 different times and was left on hold over 10 minutes each time. Each call ended by being hung up on. Finally got thru to the service manager and he quickly put me back on hold only to be hung up on again. Go buy your new ford from Akins ford. Better prices and service.

Chris was great! He was very helpful. I was a little underwhelmed when I asked one of Chris's colleagues for help; when Chris was with another customer. He told me to wait for Chris and continued texting/playing on his phone. Not exactly a definition of service. But, perhaps he had an issue at home requiring his attention. I wish you guys had a 'quiet' area in the waiting room for people that need to work. I don't suppose you guys spend time in there, but the overhead muzak and the TV compete with each other. Must be irritating if you're trying to watch TV but impossible for someone trying to concentrate on business issues or a conference call.

I took a new vehicle in for service scheduled at 7:30 AM and left vehicle for service. At the end of the day I returned to learn vehicle had not been looked at. I was told nobody got to it and they were not sure when it would be looked at, they hoped the following day. I did not have a plan for travel and this information would have been nice to know. The service needed a part to be ordered and it has been over a month and have not received a call back. I have called 2 times now and have been on hold for 20+ minutes with no one answering the phone in service. At this point, I plan to take my vehicle to the Newberry dealership.
Over here is what you call mixed feeling environment. The staff treats you respectfully and fast, the coffee is delicious, and the environment is comfortable. When I mentioned mixed feelings though is the service department. We've been here a few times with different vehicles and one time our truck wasn't touched for 3 days with a blown turbo. We received it back and the turbo wasn't installed properly. I know mistakes happen but trained techs should be more cautious in there work. Price is pretty reasonable in comparison and even though we have had some negatives, positives will always out way the outcome.

I recently purchased a 2018 Ford Escape from the Jim Hudson Dealership in Lexington, SC. I’ve never had a car payment before or bought a brand new car so I had no idea what I was doing. Not only was Jackson Nettles extremely helpful in finding me a perfect vehicle, but so was the other staff at the facility. I was greeted before I even made it to the front door and the General Manager and a gentleman named Tony also helped me out as well. I wanted to add this because as a consumer I think it's important. I have purchased a few cars at another dealership. After dealing with Jim Hudson, what a difference. First, Chris Dawkins answered his phone on his day off to answer a quick question for me. Then, I needed to speak to someone about my trade in for the finance company. I not only got a real person on the line, but she answered my question and was able to provide exactly what I needed. The other dealership not only did not return my calls but made errors that I had to fix myself with the DMV. I would tell you dealing with Jim Hudson is far and away a much better experience overall.

Strange experience over a year ago buying a car, especially financing through a bank i had no clue even existed before but my sales rep claims over a year later it isn't Jim Hudson's bank. Not my bank, not theirs, who's bank?? First time purchasing my own vehicle and probably won't be purchasing the next here.Also now i've been trying to get in touch with the guy running the trade in program because i'm trying to get a less expensive monthly payment and he reached out to me all but one time and haven't heard from him since. Gets worse the longer i have my car i don't really know any positives about this dealership anymore.

I just moved back to Columbia again. I went to Jim Hudson to service my 8 year old F150 (runs solid)! I walked around the dealership lot and sat in two $70k trucks. The second truck under the building cover. A gentleman approaches and says he needs to get some information to the truck as it is sold. I asked him if he was selling the new truck to me. The assistant manager replied “Nope” he didn’t offer to find a different salesman or offer any other assistance. Definitely not the common courtesy that I would expect from a manager. I have bought Ford vehicles for years but the next time I will select a different dealership than Jim Hudson. The star is for the service department as they had my vehicle completed on time.

Their motto should be "we ask for permission and give unkept promises because we do not care how long you have to wait". They sell you the vehicle thats all they really care about, this has been our first and last dealings with any Jim Hudson dealership.
This was my first visit to Jim Hudson Lexington showroom. While I did not buy a car, I did find a low pressure, courteous and knowledgeable sales staff. They have a large inventory - just not what I wanted at this time. I'm confident that if I buy there, I'll get a fair deal.

Personally was having a bad day and was honestly dreading being there, but the staff was excellent, I got a chocolate covered chocolate donut and found out my wait time was gonna be shorter then expected. I was completely satisfied with the the look and specs of the truck. From there Chris made final preparations for the finance team and next thing I know I was signing paperwork on their new “Digital” contract signing interface that is built into the finance manager’s desk. I’ve never seen anything like it. Made the whole signing process one hundred times easier! Now all my sales documents are saved on a little USB drive instead of an overstuffed envelope! From start to finish, this was easily the most efficient and pleasurable car buying experience I have ever had! Thank you all and great work!
Many thanks to Jason Huffman and Jim Agard for such a great sales experience over the weekend. It was time to say goodbye to our beloved 2005 pickup truck so we stopped by Jim Hudson Ford to see what our options were. We had a lot of questions. Jim and Jason both have a tremendous command of product knowledge and they quickly helped us zero in on the best vehicle to meet our needs and our budget. They were very attentive without being pushy and they both are excellent listeners. In just one day we were seamlessly guided through the new car purchase process at a pace that got the job done but was comfortable for us. We had a couple of special requests and they made them happen quickly. If you are looking for a totally positive vehicle purchase experience we would recommend Jason and Jim without reservations. Five stars! One other plus of dealing with Jim Hudson Ford is their excellent service department. I arrived ahead of my appointment time (knowing that it may take a few hours) to have two recalls satisfied on my F-150 . While waiting I decided to test drive a new ford. Kurt, the sales associate was very knowledgeable of Ford products and made my shopping experience a pleasure. About an hour later I received a call from the service writer. He was able to get my truck in early and had completed the work. Great job ! I wish that I could remember his name, he was very friendly and professional and helped make my first experience with Jim Hudson Ford a good one. Great overall experience. Our sales representative wasn’t trying to just make a sale and was interested in getting us a vehicle that we would be happy with months/ years later. Most people settle at the dealerships and later wish they had gotten what they really wanted. Jim Hudson Ford sales team wanted us to not settle but get what we wanted. Walked away with a new 2018 Ford Edge no money down and 45 days until the first payment is due.

EVERY SINGLE TIME I SPEAK WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, GREG FREEMAN, HE SPEAKS TO ME CONDESCENDINGLY. He is the worse of the worse. And to add insult to injury, I informed the General Manager, Joe Pietrobono, about Greg's way of speaking to me, and yet he still had him to be the decision maker. Many times you read complaints and you take it with a grain of salt, but doing so for this dealer, WILL COST YOU time, energy, money, and, most of all, being made to feel like you're dumb and do not know anything at all about your own car! Despite what response they give to this review, they will NEVER, get me to speak with them again. Ford is the worst company I have ever dealt with. And they wonder why foreign car companies are thriving and they're dying. When you treat people bad, nothing good will come to you.

Bought my Escape from them over the summer...fair enough experience. First service appointment was another story. Was scheduled for an oil change and tire rotation at 2:00... Over an hour later I had to ask why car was still sitting in the lot. I got my keys and left. When you make an appointment is it too much to ask that they honor it? Walmart is faster!
I always have a great experience with Jim Hudson. They're staff has always taken care of me since day one. It's FORD Corporate I have a problem with!! Since I've owned my 2012 Focus, 7 years now, I've been communicating to many,many dealers the TRANSMISSION isn't right and needs to be fixed! I've had O rings replaced, Clutch replaced and still I'm bounced out of my car at times till this day!! I've been told there is NO fix. The 6 speed transmission they've made is it! I spent 20,000.00 on a brand new car and there's NO fix? UNACCEPTABLE FORD!!!!!!

ALL JIM HUDSON DEALERSHIPS CHARGE $2K MORE THAN ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP ON THE SAME VEHICLES. They would rather let you buy from someone else then cut into that extra $2k they are charging. I can't recommend any Jim Hudson dealerships, I've dealt with their Ford, Lexus and Cadillac dealerships in Columbia, SC, all were the same. You can get it cheaper elsewhere, you just have to drive about an hour to get it... My family purchased 1 Cadillac in 2016, 1 Lexus in early 2018 from Jim Hudson and then we got a little smarter about our next 2 purchases which was a Ford F-150 Lariat in early 2019 and a Cadillac XTS in 2019, we went elsewhere and I got more truck for less money. I told Jim Hudson Ford in Lexington what I could get at the other dealership so they could match it, they said "oh if you can get it for that, you should go get it because we can't get there on it." So I did! ...and won't go back to Jim Hudson because I know "they can't get there on it"
Service was good but waited 3 hours for tire repair. We do trust the repair. That's the reason we chose to to here.
This has been my “go to” Ford dealership for years and the service has always been excellent. I don’t have to worry about cheap knockoff parts being used and they’ve stood by everything the’ve done!
I did not buy my Ford Escape from Jim Hidson. However, I took it there for service. Chris in the service department was very nice. I found them to be helpful and thorough. I will be returning for further maintenance and oil changes.
I’ve never had an above and beyond experience here. But the staff is always great and is honest about service times and availability.

Worst dealership I have ever dealt with in Columbia. If you are using the service department, make them write down everything they tell you. If you complain about a problem with your car, write down the problem and make them sign the paper and then keep that as a record on file. If they check the problem and find nothing wrong, make them put it in writing that they checked the problem and found no issues. You need to read all the documents before you buy the car. I let the salesman tell me what the documents said and some very important information was left out of his 15 second synopsis. Live and learn. I will never buy another car from a Jim Hudson dealer.
Chris Andrews was the nicest guy and did not pressure me at all into buying a truck. He had so much info on the trucks I was looking at I felt his knowledge was great to have. The whole process was easy and not time consuming like every other dealership I have dealt with. I will definitely be using them for future purchases and will always ask for Chris when I do. The sales manager Stephen Roberts was a great guy to deal with as well and gave me top dollar for my trade in and gave me all the incentives that were available on my brand new Ford F-150.
