This is a great Honda dealer. I bought a used 2009 Ridgeline from them and it was a great experience. I am not local to this dealer and they are more professional than my local dealer. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality Honda vehicle.

I used to sell cars at another Honda dealership in SC, and I never thought I would be purchasing my dream car from a sister store 100 miles from my house. Johnny Canaday greeted me and my dad when we pulled up, and immediately took us to the car I wanted--a 2018 Civic Si. I explained to Johnny that I was working with someone at my former employer, gave him the details, and he came back with a price that they couldn't touch (even if I traded my Mini Cooper to them). Just a few hours later I was signing the paperwork for my new car with Jeff Joseph, who was extremely helpful in getting me the monthly payment and APR I wanted. There was no drama, there was no dramatic sales pitch, there was no $500 tint or paint-destroying brush washes. If me or my family are in the market for a new or CPO Honda, you can bet I'll be sending them here. I cannot express enough how different this place is from your run-of-the-mill dealership.

Our salesman, Adrian, showed us exactly what we ask him to without trying to up sale us into something we weren't comfortable with. When what we wanted (new) turned out to be slightly out of our budget and we had to start over, he was patient and helped us to find something which met our needs and fit our budget (used). This place is great, I’ve always been completely satisfied with the service. The “roadside assistance” I got at the time of purchase (5 years ago!) is the real thing. I recently took my car in to fix a flat tire and since it could not be fixed they installed a new tire and it didn’t cost me a thing, not for the tire OR labor. I was impressed. Such capable and friendly staff, I recommend them highly.

Best experience yet. They offer cookies and coffee while you wait as well as charging ports and a spacious seating area with a screen that updates your car's status. Not the quickest errand but at least I was comfortable while I waited the two hours.

Sales staff are amazing, but your service doesn't end after your purchase. They are family owned, and they take care of customers like a part of the family! Their service department is incredible!!! They take care of the routine maintenance, and will let you know if something needs to be done but they don't pressure you to spend more than you're able to afford and are always honest about whatever needs done!!! I can't stress enough how well this dealership treats its customers. As someone who in the past has worked at a different dealership and seen a fair share of bad customer service, it didn't take very long for me to see that these guys know how to do it correctly. After initially choosing to come here after someone told me they had a mechanic (Ryan) that specialized in my car (S2000), I will continue to keep giving them my business. My most recent visit was for an unexpected part failure on my car that caused my final bill to be almost $3700, but I know this would have been higher due to them helping me to order some of the parts myself online to save some money as well as a student discount (10%) for going to USC. Tanner in service (I've worked with Murl as well) was very communicative the entire time my car was with them. They are also the only Honda dealership I've ever dealt with that doesn't charge higher prices for simple things like oil changes and brakes, even though my car is 15 years old, built in low production numbers, and has mostly unique parts. In summary, these guys know how to to treat their customers and will continue to have my business as long as I live in South Carolina.

Went in for a simple oil change. A couple days later I was driving with my friend and heard a loud scrapping sound coming from my car. Turns out they completely messed up putting the engine shield back together. I should never have issues with a simple maintenance service from a Honda dealership.

Sorry didn't explain why I gave it 5 stars. I had the day off so I decided to get my Oil changed. Got there a little after 7am, the service Tech (think his name was Ryan) waved me right in. Said Good Morning, got my info, did a walk around, etc. Immediately noticed i needed tires. I'd just got a new battery the week prior (from somewhere else), he made sure the radio code was put back in. Didn't have to wait long on my car to be serviced, he gave me a quote on tires, etc...and I was on my way before 8am, a pleasant visit. Probably one of the best visits I've had at HOC.

Had car trouble traveling from SC to TN and just happened to stop across the street from this Honda dealership on Memorial Day. Had already called a couple on route home and no one could fit us in. Austin at Honda of Columbia said bring car over and he checked car out fixed car in an 1.5 hrs and very reasonable cost and we were back on the road in no time. So thankful to the awesome staff! Set up my appointment online and was taken care of immediately when I arrived. Since it was just an oil/filter change I waited. In less than 45 minutes it was ready. Enjoyed two cups of free coffee (keurig), fresh baked cookies and popcorn. I have the service contract with Honda of Columbia so there was no charge. Also they performed a brake adjustment which would have been $62, but was covered under the maintenance contract. Also a free exterior car wash is included. So far all has gone very well.

My wife and I bought a 2019 Honda Odyssey. I will be 100% truthful. I have NEVER bought any vehicles that were not “American”!!!! Just Fords and Chevys. But I did my research, and went out on a limb here. So let me tell you. From the moment we started the process, till this very moment of the review, I am 100% utterly satisfied with Honda. To make it even more personal, Honda of Columbia sales personnel, mechanics...the whole 9 yards, have been the most professional and courteous people I have ever dealt with, concerning a big company. Would I recommend them? EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK, AND TWICE ON SUNDAYS. My wife drives the Honda, I still have my ford truck. But when I get a new truck, I will no longer rule Honda out. Fast, expert service. This was through the express service, so keep that in mind. Time from drop off to pick up was around 20 minutes. I can get that done anywhere, but they topped off all fluids, checked the tires, and washed and inspected the brake pads as well. Not many other fast oil change places would even bother . Very satisfied!

For a month my partner and I had been looking to trade my car and purchase a Honda Certified vehicle. We traveled an hour and half to Columbia, and we were very serious about purchasing a vehicle. The sales representative was attentive to our needs until it got to the financial aspect of things. We were wanting to negotiate and asked to speak with the sale representative's manager. The manager (Astin) was very arrogant and unwilling to work with my girlfriend and I. As the manager... when a customer has traveled a far distance to purchase a vehicle from your establishment, you think it would be in there best interest to go above and beyond to do business with you. Unfortunately Astin's words were, well I see you traveled all this way, so I know you won't be returning back to Columbia. Two weeks later we spoke with a different sales representative. We informed him that we were interested in a vehicle that was offered online, and we would be coming back for a 2nd time. The representative said he would have the vehicle ready for us to view, we told him we would be on our way to Columbia to view and test drive the car. We also told him to tell Astin we would be returning to purchase from the establishment. Once we returned back to Honda of Columbia the representative was nowhere to be found and we were told he was at lunch. Another sales rep. was thrown on us, and the car we wanted to see was mysteriously being serviced. We were told in advance the keys for the vehicle would be ready for a test drive upon our arrival. (Astin) the manager saw us walking around. He remembered us and new exactly who we were. My partner and I mentioned what was wrong, the vehicle was unavailable to be seen, and we were told it would be ready. Astin's response.... mmmmm.... I would be mad too. Then he turned and walked away. I can honestly say, not purchasing the vehicle from Honda of Columbia was the best decision I had made. I was able to purchase a CR-V EX for a great price . Stokes Honda of Beaufort was attentive to my needs, went the extra mile for me, and offered great customer service.

If I could give them a lower rating on here I would. These people sold us a car that they backed. We test drove it, and saw something wrong with the speedometer. When we mentioned that we wanted this checked before buying the car, we were reassured that it would be by our car dealer. We were told to come back the next day to pick it up, after work was to be completed on the bumper and the cluster was checked out. Once coming back to pick up the car, we were told that nothing was wrong with the car's cluster or the speedometer. Right after driving out of the lot (after paying) the speedometer went out completely. We tried taking the car back to get this issue fixed, and we were told that "words did not matter, only what is written on paper is" by the manager of the company. Because they had not documented checking the dash cluster or that we wanted it checked, we are out of $500. The mechanic could not even give us a straight answer as to if they actually checked it or not, despite being told it was the day prior and being told nothing was wrong with the car. They said it just needed to be reset. Never buy a car from these people or make sure they document everything you request before buying your car. They lie about their cars and even tell you they want to sell cars as fast as they can. They do not take the time to properly check their inventory before selling them to people.

I recently bought a 2017 Honda Fit from this dealership. If I had to do it over, I would not buy from them. The sale was contingent on a couple of repairs being done. I live almost 4 hours away so it is not easy for me to make it up there. I schedule a time for the repairs to be made very early morning so I could leave in the after noon with the full tank of gas the sales rep promised. I CC-ed the sales rep (Wadner Charles) and the finance manager (Steve Conti) who approved the repairs and when I got there that day, the repair guy who performs those repairs was not in because he never works Saturdays. The sales rep and the finance manager had 10 days to read the email, get back to me, and let me know not to come in on that day but neither one of them did. Even after speaking with the supervising manager (who was smirking the whole time like he was holding back a laugh) nothing was done and I had to drive 4 hours back home WITHOUT the full tank of gas they promised me. It is very clear and evident this dealership only wants your money and lose their integrity and ethics the second you sign the car loan. My recommendation is to drive another 20 minutes out to the next Honda dealership.

I had a good experience purchasing my Honda Civic from this dealership. I have had an awful experience with the maintenance to my car. I live 25 minutes away from the dealership. When I purchased my vehicle and they offered the maintenance plan, including oil changes and tire rotations, I hesitated because of the distance. The sellers assured me I would never wait more than 20 minutes as they have an express service line. When I arrived this morning at 9am, I was told there was a 4 hour wait, which is the norm I have experienced. I have been very disappointed in the service and the misrepresentation of it.

The car is trash we bought it brand new and the car as been back to Honda over 9 times. They are ordering all kind of parts and the car continues to not function correctly. The car has over 30 pages of codes and the ppl are dumbfounded. We got a active case open with Honda, they trying to there best to fix but the car is defective. I believe they want use to get hurt first we had to contact a lawyer and planning to sue. I don't recommend you purchasing a car from them. I'm not satisfied

We revisited Honda today, it was a very good visit, we had our Pilot serviced and tires rotated, they have a very nice waiting area, with snacks, cookies are the best, popcorn and coffee, and it's free, now isn't that nice, the folks are nice, Tyler was very nice and considerate, very helpful, even came and got us when finished. The wait was short, It pays to have an appointment, we were there less than an hour. Thank you Honda for a great visit.

I was provided dishonest information. Came in to have a taillight bulb replaced. At first I was told they would have it completed in about 30 minutes. After 1 hour and 30 minutes, a technician informed me that the bulb did not do the trick and they would need to hook it up to a machine for $115. When I got home that evening, I just decided to give it a look on my own. Honda of Columbia did not even take the time to notice that a simple wire was loose. There was no need to hook my car up to a diagnostic machine. I was able to discover the issue on my own and I hardly know anything about cars. Be honest and open with your customers. Never again will I have my car serviced here. Save yourself the time and money, go elsewhere!

This is a great place to take your car for service. They have always treated me fairly and they do good work. Chris Burns, the General Sales Manager, and Preston Locklear, one of the Service Advisors, have been excellent and always make sure that everything is going well while I am there for service or to buy a car. I make it a point to ask for them when I arrive. It is also a great place to just sit down and have a cup of coffee and a cookie if you like. The lobby area is very comfortable and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend this dealership.

It seems like everytime I come in, scheduled appointment or not, I end up waiting forever, and there's sometimes little "hiccups" that have to be addressed. They do their job, I think. I feel neutral, in terms of the service team. I don't have any experience in regards to the sales side. I'll be taking my Civic somewhere else for maintenance. They're always pleasant to talk to. I don't dislike going here, but I feel with such a high volume of people, there's a lot of room for error. I'd rather have someone else be able to give my car their complete attention, without feeling rushed to get to the next Honda.

Took my 08 Honda Civic in recently for the passenger side airbag recall. After the work was completed I left made it down two lights and noticed the dash was cracked. I tuned around and took the car back and everyone just blew it off. Service helper at the desk called for the mechanic to come out and the mechanic was like yeah it was already cracked. I told both of them the dash wasn't cracked and the mechanic said I took pictures and showed them to me . The time stamp was 1.5 hours after the car was taken back. After I brought up that detail he mentioned that it was probably whoever worked on the radio last cause there were screws missing. When I informed them both that the last time the radio was worked on (replaced) it was done by their service department no one believed me until they found the record in the system. Then queue up some awkward silence I was told then that I could buy a replacement from them. When I tell them that I shouldn't have to pay for something they broke during the job and that they should of came and got me if that actually noticed damage before starting the work they call someone else over who prints out an exploded diagram of the dash and tells me the part number for what I would need to order.... So in short if you have to have work completed here make sure to take pictures of the inside and engine area before taking it in for service otherwise you'll be stuck with their mistake. Just in case someone thinks I'm making this up the invoice number for the airbag replacement is HOCS122420.

Issue resolved thanks to Preston and head of Express Service. I was there at the Lexington Honda yesterday 7/3 for an oil change and tire rotation. I noticed the vehicle felt slightly different and there was some road noise also. When I got out the vehicle, two of the lug nuts were about to come off! I tried to contact Honda in Lexington this afternoon 7/4, but the phone system was not taking messages. Other things also seemed not right. I will be contacting them tomorrow AM.

First of all I would like to say that my husband and I are public servants and take serving people very seriously. Love people like they are your neighbor. So I have very good discernment and knew our salesperson was lying thorough his teeth with his “good cop/bad cop” tactic. It’s very sad that car buying is like this. We are honest people, trying to find an honest deal. Yes, everyone needs to be paid and wants the biggest paycheck they can get. But should consumers also suffer for this? Because they aren’t interested in negotiating for hours? Especially with kids present. This is a sad sad business. I wish there could be change in the whole car buying experience. Very frustrating that a big dealership can’t treat people better. We don’t get a bigger paycheck for how we treat people, so why should anyone else?

They actually listen to your concerns and issues and do everything to fix the issue. Even though I'm not happy with the issues of my car, I'm happy with the service. 6/21/19 on my way out of town and my dashboard lights up with warnings at 5:10 pm. I just moved to this community and was looking for a new car. I went in for a test drive. I can't remember the front desk lady ever smiled at me. I sat down with one of the salesman and the conversation began like this "we need to talk about money now so I'm not wasting my time". How am I supposed to make any decision before actually seeing the car?? He left and came back saying "i can show you around but the battery is dead". He did let me checked the inside of those cars, so that's a plus, I guess? I don't think the standard of customer service at an authorized dealership had changed so much across the country. I was out less than a day. They had the part and replaced less than 8 business hours. Preston was amazballs! Salesman was friendly, patient, answered all my questions and even took additional photos of the car due to my distance from the dealership. Upon my arrival, the team quickly appraised my vehicle in minutes while I was speaking with the salesman about the new car. The price was quickly and easily agreed upon with absolutely no effort on my part. There were no high pressured sales pitches regarding the new purchase nor about additional coverages during the closing.
