Just bought our 2nd Lexus from this dealership. Wilbur was our salesman and was a joy to work with. Had the most thorough test drive I’ve ever had. He made sure we were taken care of throughout the whole process. But the reason we even considered buying another car from this dealership is Bill Ferguson in the service department. He has worked with us anytime the car needed servicing or we had a problem with the car (our car had 114,000 miles on it and things do start wearing out). I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a car.

Mike Graber was my sales professional. I had searched all over the country for 6 months and found the car I wanted 10 minutes from my house online. I test drove the car on a Wednesday evening and told him I was coming back in the morning to purchase the car. Their detail shop had the car buffed and cleaned, and he had as much of the paperwork ready as possible. He assisted in transferring my tag, and we called my insurance company while finance prepared the rest of the paperwork. Joe, in Finance, was also excellent. He took me through the process of signing everything electronically on their giant screen. I was in and out in an hour and 45 minutes. They followed up as well to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. I got a great car at a good price and ended up trading in my 2004 LS 430 with 252K miles. I highly recommend Mike Graber and Hendrick Lexus. Everyone I encountered was polite, courteous, and highly service oriented.

This is my 5th car from Hendrix Lexus. I have diligently followed the maintenance schedule and have never had a problem with any of my vehicles. The staff at Hendrix has always been most pleasant and accommodating. They remember me by name and go out of their way to make sure that I am comfortable during my stay. On those times that I elect to utilize a loader vehicle, the car has been a new model in perfect condition. In all the years I have owned a Lexus, my visit to this dealership was the best. Stephen Storey took care of me and was amazing. It was the first service I've had since moving back home after 15 years and one of the biggest of the check ups needed on the car. Stephen went over everything in detail before starting and he answered the many questions I had. I asked about things that the dealership in Atlanta tried to get me to do and evidently...they were not needed. That was a very nice surprise. To top everything off, I had my little dog with me and Stephen treated her like a real family member. She was thrilled when he retreated and came back with the most amazing treat she had ever seen! LOVE this place and am so grateful that we had Stephen to guide us. I'll ask for him personally in the future.

The worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I came in because my sunroof exploded ( glass defect, there is a class action lawsuit against this) . The management team was unwilling to help in any way but furthermore, they were very rude and disrespectful. I had them walk off on me and hang up the phone while speaking to them. I have been a loyal Lexus owner from a Lexus is350 to an IS250 F sport and had intentions of buying the RC F sport. Due to the treatment at this dealership, I highly doubt I will be buying a Lexus vehicle again. The management team is the worst I have ever encountered.

My husband & I both bought our dream cars here four years ago. I had wanted a Lexus 350 RX when the time was right. I was already a Lexus car owner, a beautiful white sedan that kept me happy for many years. I always had it serviced every time it was due & it stayed beautiful & drove like a dream. I took excellent care of it & it took care of me! But one day we decided to just “look around” at maybe a new or gently owned Lexus 350. Need I say more?? I spotted this big RX 350, a beautiful Claret Parchment color that had my name all over it as soon as we were out the front door to look around! I climbed in & that was it. It had everything I wanted in a new car. All the new safety features that I really wanted & it just felt like home to me. I feel like Hendrick Lexus gave us a good deal & I trusted them before with my first Lexus & I was always happy with the service & I will recommend them to anyone. They have fair prices, great Service Advisors, The salesmen are so easy to work with & you never feel pushed or ignored. We had Bill Ferguson as our Service Advisor this week when my car had it’s 40,000 mile service. He was very accommodating when I had to change my appointment date due to bad weather & got me in at a convenient time. He had me a loaner car ready, paperwork ready, & off I went shopping while my car got an excellent service! And even better, when I came back to get my car all the paperwork was ready & I did not have to pay one cent. I loved that. Everything checked out perfect, no problems. And, as usual, I had a free car wash! Good job, gentlemen!! I can’t wait to see what my next Lexus will be! But for now, I am still in love with THIS Lexus. By the way, my husband bought himself a Lexus the same day! He loves his, too. We bought a LS460L from Lexus in Charleston. I think around 2008. There was a recall on the leather. Called soft leather. Told us law suit was settled and there is nothing we can do. So now we have a nice looking car and the inside leather is peeling away. This was our 3rd Lexus but never again. We can't get a fair trade in value due to the inside. Lexus basically said there was nothing they could do as they haven't started making leather for this model. I would never buy a Lexus in Charleston as they do not take care of recalls. I recently bought a used Lexus here. Drove the car and decided to purchase. They had to fix a leaky seal that showed up after the drive which I was thankful happened before I got the car. They showed me the inspection that was done by the dealership showing all the “work” that was done to get it ready. When I get home, I find that none of the passenger door locks work. The mechanic must have missed those. Wrote the dealer as soon as I got home. No response, no sorry. Nothing. 2 weeks later, I was upgrading the radio to a Bluetooth unit and out of curiosity pulled the cabin air filter. It looked like it hadn’t been replaced in 2 years. Emailed the dealer once more and no answer. They clearly don’t care when you buy a used car with no warranty. When you pay a premium for a used car from a Lexus dealer, you expect basic maintenance be done but it wasn’t.

For about two months, I had been looking to buy a 2018 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T. After not having much luck with several car dealerships, I discovered that the Hendrick Lexus Charleston dealership had a 2019 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T for a great price. However, I was apprehensive about driving almost five hours from North Carolina to Charleston, South Carolina, until I contacted their car salesman extraordinaire: Mr. Wilbur Wiggins. From the beginning of our discourse, Mr. Wiggins impressed me with his responsiveness to my questions about the car and his meticulous instructions to help me to start the pre-approval process via phone and email. Once I arrived at the dealership a day later, Mr. Wiggins continued his excellent customer service. He took his time to thoroughly explain the next steps in my car buying process (including to trade in my car), chaperoned me on a fun test drive that simulated how the car would drive in different settings, and guided me through the remaining steps to seal the deal. At the conclusion of my car buying experience, Mr. Wiggins surprised me with my “immaculately” detailed 2019 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T that was topped with a red bow. Ultimately, he was right the first time we talked: he truly made me feel like a valued family member. Thank you, Mr. Wiggins! He is very knowledgeable with the vehicles, services, and pricing; which was impressive since he had only been doing this a short while. Although it was not a Lexus that would have had all of the perks of being a Certified Lexus, I did get the car of my choice guilt free. This was the easiest car buying process ever! We just purchased a Lexus Certified 2017 ES 350 from Lexus of Charleston. The entire experience was phenomenal when compared to our car shopping efforts in the past. Justin Clark was our salesman. He worked tirelessly to understand what we interested in purchasing, as we were on-the-fence as to a compact SUV versus a sedan. During our first visit, a storm broke out and Justin went out in that downpour and to retrieve several vehicles that we had selected and brought them into the "pick-up area" out of the rain. We definitely liked the hybrid SUV. We went home to think it over and the next day, Justin informed us that it had been bought online. We met with Justin some days later and decided to focus on ES sedans. Justin showed us several but none that we fell in love with. He then looked at the Hendrick's inventory at their dealership in Charlotte. We picked one and he had it shipped to Charleston. This car was a winner. Justin Clark was so personable; it was like buying a car from your best friend. He reached out to us during the entire process. Checking on our decisions regarding the various cars we had under consideration. Once we selected the car from their Charlotte location, he kept us updated as to the status of the car -- on the truck, at the Charleston location, into service for the Lexus certification work, into detailing for the final spruce-up. Throughout our many visits to the dealership, we were amazed how friendly and courteous everyone was. It was a truly first-class team all around.

Horrible customer service!! My husband and I would never come back. My husband felt very judged and profiled, he was coming in for a simple inspection to see if something needed to be replaced. He had to drive 30-40 to this dealership because there are no Lexus dealers by our house, I’m not sure if it is because he does not have a brand new Lexus or because he is a younger gentleman but he did not receive the right customer service. Not only that but when an advisor FINALLY came to help him, the advisor took two looks at his car and said no. When I had made the appointment for my husband we had received something in the mail for a warranty check and he had made notes for the appointment. The advisor was obviously negligent and did not check the notes or he would have known what to do. Very disappointed, would NOT recommend!! Waste of time and money.

He did encourage me to look at a SUV that was not the color I wanted and that's the one I ended up buying. He was very aware of the limited time I had and was able to seal the deal within that time. The Lexus Charleston team are personable and courteous but more than that, I feel that I was dealt with respectfully. The service person Bill assisted me in a turbo gate issue and got parts ordered, installed within my available schedule. As with most dealership services there can be a long wait. This facility has a nice waiting room and even a playroom for the children as well as treats for pets. Snacks, bottled water and Keurig selection choices are available. Cleanliness is top notch which is very important to me. At the end of everything my vehicle got it's get-up-and-go again thanks to this southern charmed service team.

The day after having the 10,000 miles maintenance check-up my husband was stranded in the local Publix parking lot as our 2019 350 RX was immovable , with multiple errors flashing on the dashboard screen. The car had to be towed from Summerville to Hendrick Service. It was determined that the internal ECU had malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. As inconvenient as the incident was Jared Young was most efficient and extremely helpful and communicative throughout the process! The problem was resolved within 48 hours and thus far the car is running just fine. Thanks.

My experience at Hendrick Lexus of Charleston was terrible and I would advise anyone planning to purchase a car to not go to this dealership. I live in NC and had worked with the Sales Associate, Bill Lee over the phone looking for a car. I had decided on a car at the dealership through the pictures and conversations with the Sales Associate. I was assured that the car was in good condition and there was nothing wrong with it. I live 4 hours away and was adamant to make sure that the car was in great shape and was assured there was nothing wrong with it multiple times, due to the fact I would be spending a full day to drive down and drive back. This included renting a car and getting off of work. I drove to Charleston to potentially purchase the car. When I arrived and inspected the car, there were multiple, visible scratches all over the car. On the interior, it looked like it was cleaned half hazzardly. Bill blamed the inside not being clean on someone else for not cleaning it correctly. He then started getting agitated that I had an issue with the interior not being cleaned and said it would probably be better if I just cleaned it because he didn't have confidence in the other individual doing a good job. When I addressed the outside of the car, he was bothered and said that it was "a used car". I then stated to him how I was under the impression that the car was in great shape. I took pictures and again there were multiple, large scratches in very obvious places. I told Bill I was bothered that I drove 4 hours and this is not what I expected. I then asked to speak to a Manager. I then spoke with Manager, Steve Weaver. He understood my displeasure and was willing to lower the price and have the car shipped to NC. I told him at this point I was so bothered with the service I would call him back. I then left the office and called Steve 30 minutes later. He never answered and never called me back. This whole process led me to the decision that not only am I picking a car, but I am also picking who I would like to do business with. This staff cost me over $400 with rental car fees, taking off work, and about 9 hours of my day. I would never go back and do business with them and I advise anyone else to work with a better group that will be honest and truly care. I ended up purchasing a RX at another Lexus dealership. They were the complete opposite. They were honest, professional and treated me like a customer should be treated.

My experience started out fine but by the end of the sale it was horrible. I had a horrible experience with the finance manager that finalized the deal. He was very unprofessional trying to used scare tactics to get me to finance my car through one of their preferred banks. When I looked at the terms of the loan that he showed me from other banks their loan terms were longer which made it appear that I was getting a good deal. On top of that, he kept trying to get me to sign off on warranty items which I didn’t need which also would have raised my monthly car payment in excess of 100 dollars per month. I told the finance manager that I was not interested in anything he was trying to sell me and that i just wanted to finalize the car sale through the credit union that I was pre-approve through. The finance manager appeared very agitated with me and basically threw papers on the table in front of me for me to sign. His nice attitude that he displayed when I walked in his office was gone and I became just another customer. The car salesman was nice but the finance manager need more customer service training.

Having dealt with this dealer over the years, I can say without hesitation that it employs top notch folks most notably, Tamara Tobin who has been my representative over the years. Tamara not only goes the extra mile but extra "miles" in helping me and my wife in whatever way she can. I have called her while I was out of state to resolve warning light issue on my Lexus LX 470 and she expertly handled the issue and I continued my trip. Tamara has even insisted that she carry my work bag from my Lexus to the loaner. Needless to say, Tamara has efficiently and effectively scheduled my Lexus cars into the shop to get them serviced (both scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance) while balancing the availability of a loaner. And, she is always quick to let me know the solution as well as the approximate cost. Most importantly, even though I did not buy my Lexus from her dealership, Tara makes me feel special and works very hard to please. No other dealer has ever worked as hard to please (and I have gone to other Lexus dealers while on trips in Florida and Virginia) and Tara is responsible for my continuing to do business at her dealership. When it comes time to buy a new Lexus (or two), I will go to this dealership with the peace of mind that Tara brings to the maintenance piece. Indeed, I recommended and my son bought a Lexus from the dealership through a woman whom Tara highly recommended. Brave to Tamara and to the dealer for keeping this talented young woman!!

GO SEE WILBUR WIGGINS! I knew that I soon would need a new vehicle. My wife had such a great experience with her car buying experience from Lexus of Charleston with Wilbur Wiggins that I had to go just 20 days later. I had mentioned to Wilbur when my wife was there what I was looking for or would possibly be interested in a few months. He emailed a car on a Saturday a car that fit my description and budget. I experienced a dead battery when car was in garage. I called Lexus service and they gave me number to call for towing. The next morning tow truck arrived with a portable battery jumper and I was able to back car out of garage and car was put on truck and taken to Lexus dealer. The dealership was notified car coming in for service. I got a ride to dealership and I waited about two hour (one hour was noon to one - lunch time). I was back on the road home in a washed well running car. Service has always been excellent and everyone very helpful.
