They should of offer to get me a rental car since i have had a problem with this car since i bought it from them i am always on time with my payment. Went looking for a car yesterday walked the lot for about 15 minutes maybe 20 not one person came out to help us guess I kinda looked broke was in my pj's and messy hair my only day off I work 60+ hours a week so annoyed we left and headed to the family auto on cedar lane where we were greeted almost immediately by a very friendly guy name Kelly who took us strait inside to do some paperwork to see what he could do for us. While he was running some reports told us to feel free to walk the lot and see what catches my eye a few minutes later he joined us and told me I could get any car on the lot so my advice is if your looking for great customer service at family auto then head to the cedar lane location

I had the worst experience ever today 7/26/2018 , so I come with down payment 640 for a 2006 xl envoy. Tim said everything was a go , I test drive everything was good called my insurance switched over so me and my husband waited about 30 minutes then lady from finance department going say I can drive off the lot if I agree down payment of 640 plus first payment of car 430 on 30th . It's crazy how Tim told me one thang and then they switched it up . How can they charge me for the car on 30th and payments supposed to be not due till the following month and that would be August 26th smh !!! These folks crazy and I would never do business with folks at family auto . Not a fair business very disappointing.... rip off trying to get over smh and yes Kaya thomas approved this message

I actually had one of my best car buying experiences here, I usually hate going to car dealerships, but Rusty was kind, soft-spoken, and very patient. He took time with me and my mom, didn't rush us and wasn't fast-talking us. My credit isn't all that great, they didn't make me feel bad about it, they worked out the payments with me, and I'd definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I was soft quoted double the kbb fair market value of a van, and was advised that they won't give hard prices or negotiate until a credit application had been filed. Sorry folks, not giving up info until I've got numbers. 3/5 stars - lot and cars were clean, staff was friendly enough, though appearances were a bit on the gaudy side.

I would not recommend Family Auto to my worst enemy if I had one. I would like to give -5 stars. Unfortunately that's not possible. The first is was with AVP (the warranty provider) and the auto shops that Family Auto sent me to. Not even a full 2 weeks after getting the car, I had to take it to a shop. That shop didn't want to do their job, so I had to come back and have it taken to another one. I had issues with both shops that I was sent to for the same issue. One shop (Bryant's Kar-Gard) was extremely rude and lazy, while the other (Dupont Tire and Auto) scratched my car and damaged my front tire. Not to mention, that they had my car for 3+ weeks. So they at this point had my car longer than I did. The second issue is that Family Auto advertises on their building that you get a free Vacation when you purchase a car. The so called "Voucher" that you are given will not get you a free Vacation. If you read the reviews on the voucher online, it states how it is a scam and you never really get the vacation. Also you have to send money to them for the "Free Vacation." Then, Tim Harvin lied about this to me as well. He also informed me that they report to all 3 bureaus when I specifically asked him this, but they only report to 1. The most important issues are the fact that Family Auto did not tell me about the frame damage to my car before buying it. The law requires this, but I wasn't told. They also state in the agreement you sign with them that if fraud is committed on their end that you can return the car or discuss the issue with them. When I purchased my car I was told that a set amount of miles were on the car. This was falsified. This is something else I asked Tim Harvin to confirm when we got the car. So now, because they put on the paperwork that my car has less miles, it interferes with the warranty they give. I would not recommed anyone to trust this place. There are better dealerships out there that are honest and legit.....and does business the appropriate way.

Friendly staff, easy to get a vehicle from but I've had nothing but issues with a car i purchased less than 3 months ago. The vehicle had to be serviced after the first month under warranty (by the way, you have to pay a co-pay for warranty service). Also, was required to purchase a new battery for them to finish repair. I went 2 weeks without a vehicle and had to find alternate transportation because they would not provide a loaner. After the repair, there were issues with the door lock that didn't exist before and I was asked to drop the vehicle off again for repair. Caught a flat tire which is not their fault but the vehicle I purchased has locking lug nuts on the front wheels. Luckily I made it to work because I was not provided the key so I had to wait for one of their techs to come to my job and remove the locking lug nut. Only to be told afterwards that he couldn't put it back on and that I should drive around with 4 lug nuts until I can find a 5th from somewhere. Next, the passenger low beam headlight went out and I was told it wasn't covered under warranty, but i could find a shop to replace it for me and save some money. The vehicle uses HID bulbs which are not cheap and they're not easily accessible to replace yourself. It's been a bad experience thus far, and on top of the high car payment, i'm steady dumping money into a vehicle that I just got. I'm not sure if i recommend or not, because I would hate for anyone else to have to deal with this. I question the condition/quality of the vehicles they sale.

The day I bought my car I felt like I was getting bs told to me so I would just buy it and give them my hard working money. It wasn't one month that I had the car and already started to act funny from the time I bought it. I went there and told them the issues and they had the manager that's also the mechanic SMH. ride around with me for 5 min and all he said is that it's probably how I'm driving the car. REALLY. Now it's 5 months later no REAL mechanic will give me a simple tune up because they all say it will tear my car up faster so my car is slowly falling apart now and all they do is give me the run around. I called up there told and told them my problem and I talked to 6 ppl in under 3 min all saying the same thing let me patch thru to this person let me send you to the back let me have you talk to this person let me let you talk to nobody because nobody does what they say there. I'm going up there today so they can "look" at it then give me the run around again I'm sure. Probably tell me how it's my fault again even tho I been driving like MS Daisey so I don't run it to hard. Bottom line they don't treat you like family they'll give you the run around so they don't have to fix it customer service is horrible. With all that being said I feel like they bs me into buying the car, telling me it's the only one I qualify for yea right. JUST DONT BUY ANY CARS FROM HERE THEY WILL MOST DEFINITELY GIVE YOU PROBLEMS NOT EVEN A MONTH AFTER YOU BUY.

I did a review some months back stating that this was a good place to go when you have circumstances that you need a vehicle. The employees are GREAT!! But upper management especiall Anthony Lee SUCK!!! I got the car which is 3x the amount of Kelly Blue Book. I make my paymenys on time and they don't have to call me to remind me to pay. I received a letter stating that I owed $80 for SC property tax but was told at signing that all taxes and fees are included. I was NEVER told about a SC property tax. I took the paperwork to Family Auto and yhe Ladies were so nice. I speak with Anthony Lee (Manager) and I informed him that I was never told that I have to pay the property tax. He says you've had this notice since 5/8 and are now just bringing it here as if I was doing it to get a break on my payment which I make on time biweekly. I informed him that I would like for him to pay the $80 as I was never informed and I'm from NJ were there is no Car Property Tax. He said to me is that the way to ask someone for something and how should I have asked him. I'm almost 50 and not 5, I expressed to him that good customer service would be for them to pay the $80 and he said NO!!!! Anthony Lee has NO customer service and doesn't know how to speak with customers with respect. If people didn't have extenuating circumstances he wouldn't have a job. ANTHONY LEE LEARN TO TREAT PEOPLE BETTER. As Karma is real and looking for you!!!!

Read before you go snd buy im going higher up . Family auto name change need and words on how they tske care of you. But he is no longer there i see why had the car a month two tires blow out said it was normal were and then engine light on abs . Gets recall for air bag that fixed by honda then 10/31/18 it bteaks down been with out car since then been browing a car from friends on 11/20/18 manger ant calls me said there taking it to trans place . Said he was going to get me a rental till fix well not fixed yet 12/3/18 had to put out 65.oo to pay extra on rental now i have no way to work monday and sat at house all weekend . Now i know why they give you a tv i didnt get tv but atleast you would have something to do .want my car asap also want head office to call me or come to me with the reason why i have been screwed over and do not have the two you got running greenville sc one . Came back the next day.. and I got my new vehicle 2013 Kia which came with a awesome warranty that covers pretty much everything that most buy here pay here lots don't do !!!! Chris worked everything ou for me and got me into the vehicle that best fit me.. the next day I called to ask if they could change the bulb on my fog light while I was there the lot tech Terry took care of the sticker paper on my window which he didn't have to do!! I purchased a vehicle from Family Auto in Greenville on 08/18 on the following Monday I return back to explain the steering wheel issues, brakes, the tire that was showing wire, and the head lights worked only on bright, I also explain that the car rolled back a lot like it had transmission issues They instructed me to take the car to a tire shop; due to my work schedule I didn’t make it til 8/25 the worker there told me the whole front it was wear out and to take it back they need to give me another car(which he now never said) I went there to tell the GM all about the issues he told me to go back to the shop after the worker spoke with the GM he changed his attitude and said he could fix the car I dropped it off 08/28 in the morning and got it Back 5 pm 08/30 and it cut off in the middle of the road and would not crank I have ask for my money back or another car I have called to the office asked for the Corprate office number the lady I spoke with was thrilled to give it to me bc she knew I would never speak with anyone it’s was 12 pm the next day no One from here call me I had to reach out to the repair guy at the “tire shop” who says the time changing went basically it needed a new motor I called to family auto Anthony asked me how may I help you no apology no concern no nothing on 08/31 he gave me the option to make a payment and they would switch the car out I choose a 09 Jeep 3 years older for the same price bc this seem to be the best vehicle on the lot (10,000 after interest 15,000) a week after 09/07 having the Jeep I called and inform a rep of every issue the Jeep had from brake system to fuel system the Jeep sucked up so much gas they had me go to a shop the mechanic agreed they missed the brake and rotor issues in the inspection but family auto refused to pay for the repairs after having me go to the shop week after week. I spoke with Anthony his exact words were I only know about the brakes and I have over 600 customers I don’t have time to read notes on accounts.Fast forward me and my family driving down the road 10/17 something under the hood bust smoke every where. I have yet get any response, the mechanic says Anthony has not sent in the paper work for the repairs it’s 10/27 still no car. I reached out to a lawyer they lied and said I bit off more than I could chew and I refused to pay the deductible for repairs that hasnt been approved or done so how could I pay?I was payment behind bc I knew they would screw me and let the car sit in the shop so that I could get further behind in the payment so now I have to pay for repairs a deductible, and a car payment for a car I haven’t had in over a week. Please don’t go here and my next step BBB and all the news channel you ruin my credit and I ruin your reputation which is already horrible I’ve meet so many ppl they have done this to and I will gather them up so they can always get some sort of peace you can’t call your company a Family when for over a month you almost ruin mine I stressed the fact the day of purchase how important me having a car was that’s how I work and maintain a living and the only person at that place who sympathize with me was Landy but yet I was made to look my finances is the issue well it is now bc I don’t even have a way to a Job.
