The wife and I purchased a new 2017 Ford Escape from Edwards Auto Sales. This was the third vehicle we purchased from Edwards. Stacey Garrett was our salesman. He was extremly helpful and no high pressure sakes techniques. There wasn't any of the deceiving methods used by other dealers when advertising on the Internet. No deduction of incentives that I wasn't able to receive. When I turned over my keys for my trade-in, I didn't have to ask numerous times for them to be returned. Danny Edwards the owner worked with Stacey through our dealing and discussion of price. Both were friendly and honest men. Lurching a vehicle from Edwards Auto Sales was like it always used to be years ago. No high pressure techniques and just down home conversation. All in all the whole experience was very good to excellent experience. This was the easiest car buying experience from a dealership that I have ever had. They didn't try to play annoying games or hide numbers like many other dealers do. They offered other products like warranties but didn't push and push like other dealers. They were up front on my trade in, right in line with kbb trade in value. Bought a used vehicle from these folks. On the test drive, an electrical fault occured, causing the AC and radio to quit. We really liked the car, so we bought it with the condition they fixed the fault. They fixed it and we were happy. A week later the same fault occured. We brought it back, and they fixed it AGAIN free of charge. Two days later, the same error happened! I thought we got a lemon. We called, and brought it back. After investigating, it was finally found that there was a small pinched wire that was causing all these issues. It was either the original problem, or a result of replacing the original part. The mechanic even stated it likely was their fault, and they didn't charge us. WONDERFUL treatment, zero hassle both in purchasing and in service. I will probably buy my next vehicle from them.

Former Lake Keowee Ford (LKF) customer here. I was a LKF customer for two years but recently, the Service department there decided that they are too good for answering phone calls and returning phone calls. I decided to try Edwards Ford since it is only 10 mins or so from LKF. I had a very good experience. They were competent enough to inspect my Focus’s fuel tank recall notice even before the official commencement of service for that recall. Ford Anderson wouldn’t take the car for another week. I had the oil changed and the wheels realigned too when I was there. The service was good and the pricing was fair. I price checked their wheel realignment price with a mechanic that I had gone to before for alignment. Edwards Ford did the job for $10 less. They have earned a new customer in me. If you’re a former LKF like me and are looking around for a new dealer, give this one a try. You won’t be disappointed.

The service department is the WORST. I ALWAYS have issues with them not doing something right, I guess that's my fault for continuing to take my car there but this was the icing on the cake and I will NEVER go back. I was told by Valvoline that they could not do my tire rotation because the last time it was done someone stripped the lug nuts and they could not get the tires off. The last time it was done was at Edwards so I emailed Lee and asked about how they would go about fixing it, I told him that I could get there at 5 one afternoon because I WORK and his response was "4 is the latest we do because we close at 5:30". First of all, how does that even make sense? It takes you an hour and a half to close up? No, that's LAZINESS. Second of all, he also stated that "we didn't do that, the caps swell and cause this, we've seen it multiple times". So, on that note I took my car to Super Service to have them take a look because they stay open until 6 and they book appointments all the way up to this time!! They stated that "we had an extremely hard time getting them off and this was caused by someone using the wrong size socket". So now that's two different places telling me the same thing and Edwards still won't admit they did anything wrong!!!!! I'm not usually one to complain, I've actually never even done a review like this but I felt like I needed to warn others on how terrible this place is because this isn't even the first time something like this has happened. They couldn't fix the SYNC system in my car when I first bought it, I had to take it up there at least 5 different times. And more recently I took it to them to fix a noise and they supposedly replaced the part that was making the noise but guess what? THEY DIDN'T, it still makes the screeching noise, so what did they even replace? Okay, rant over. You've been warned.

When contacting the other local Ford dealership (Lake Keowee Ford) about replacing the recalled airbags in my 2011 Ranger (which had the potential of exploding on deployment and sending shrapnel into the driver/passengers), I left a message 3 times with the service department to call me about getting the recalled airbag parts replaced. Never ONCE did I receive a call back. When I called Edwards, I spoke to a service technician on my first try. They had the parts in stock and we set up an appointment in a timely fashion. They replaced the recalled parts with no problems whatsoever. Thanks Edwards Auto Sales!!

This is the worst service department I have ever seen my 67 years on this earth. After taking my truck back when it was not fixed right the first time,they called and said the truck was fixed but didn't work right and needed more done I had enough, I know when someone is working you over. I picked my truck up and left over $700 for a job not done right. Stay away from there. After getting two phone calls from the owner and him saying If I was going to rip you off I would have charged you more money. This came out of the blue, but after hearing that it makes you wonder.

After checking my transmission fluid, an employee recommended I set up an appointment to have my transmission looked at. The only date they had was three weeks out and I was told to bring it in that Monday by 8am, which I did. 24 hours later I hadn't heard anything so I called and asked for an update and they didn't have anything for me. Waited to call again until Thursday morning... once again they didn't have any information for me because "we have been slammed and have had workers absent today and yesterday but should have information for you by this evening or tomorrow". I decided I would just go pick my car up and take it somewhere else. When picking up my car, a worker said, "we should be able to get to it tomorrow because the man who works on the transmissions will be back tomorrow from school... he's been there all week". I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment, have my car at Edwards by 8am that monday, even though the employee who works on transmissions wouldn't even be there till friday, absolutely zero communication throughout the week, and when I communicated with them they did not give me the entire story. Once I left I called and asked to speak with the head of the service department. He seemed to just shrug it off, no issue to him, kept stating, "well I was going to try to have it seen by tomorrow". I have never had issues with Edwards service department before but this was ridiculous. My family and I will no longer be bringing our vehicles here to be serviced.

I am very pleased with this dealer from sales to service. My wife and I purchased our first car together from them about 4 years ago. We were young (but employed) and they were the only dealer in the upstate to treat us with respect and dignity. They gave us a fair trade, fair price and excellent service. The sales man saw us in the lot browsing, politely asked if he could do anything for us, and threw us the keys to test drive the car. No pressure, and let us decide for ourselves. Over the years I have taken both my vehicles to them for service. They have done everything from fluids, brakes, warranty work, and even a major repair on the older vehicle. I have received nothing but honest and trust worthy work from them. No up-selling, and pressuring to get unnecessary work done. In fact, on one occasion I requested to have a major engine repair performed, when after their inspection, they found that my diagnosis was incorrect and the problem was related to a loose hose. I am a satisfied customer.

Update April 2019: The transmission on my 2017 Edge was malfunctioning. I dropped the car off at Edwards on Monday and asked them to diagnose it. They had the car diagnosed by Wednesday and repaired by Thursday. Excellent service on this occasion, and much improved from my previous experience. Thanks! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My 2017 Ford Edge developed a squeak in the rear window and a rattle in the area of the passenger compartment with 35,000 miles. Took to Edwards for repairs. They claimed that a zipper on a CD case in the back of the car was the issue, and stated in the service summary that I had complained of a rattle in the back of the car, which is completely false. They ordered parts for the window and said they would call when the parts arrived. Never called. Two months later I followed up and they said they had the parts. Took it back, and asked to have the passenger compartment rattle diagnosed again. They had the car all day, and when I picked it up they had simply reprinted the falsified report from the first visit and changed the date (but not the mileage). The next day I looked under the car and found that the cover is loose and flapping in the wind under the front seats. If the service team had even looked under the car they would have found it, but they didn't.

I purchased my 2002 Thunderbird from Edwards recently. Unfortunately on my way home, the service engine light came on, and the performance faded significantly. I drove back to Edward's and they said they'd look at the car the next morning, and gave me a ride home. When I returned the next day, I was provided with a report that they had to replace 4 of the coil-on-plugs, and they performed this repair at no additional cost to me. They reaffirmed my trust of their father Bob, who I actually worked for some 40 years ago.

After scheduling service for a service bulletin for timing chain replacement, I was told they had to wait on parts...pretty available parts, so I was a little taken aback, then got parts and said it would be Wednesday Thursday or Friday...made me less comfortable...then on Friday they said parts had just arrived and they would try to get it done...still not done Monday with same parts just arrived story. Felt I could no longer trust their work and picked up my car with a $150 charge to restock parts and diagnostics..then To top it off I had about $10 of car wash change missing from my armrest...thought about taking it out when I left it, but decided it would be a good test as I’m getting close to replacing my vehicle and this dealer was handy for me....won’t get anymore business from me now as I have lost all trust in them.

I researched buying a new 2017 pickup truck online from the various manufacture's sites. This is the second new truck I purchased without traveling to dealerships, last time being in 2005. To make a long story short, Edwards Auto Sales in West Union next to Walhalla SC supplied us with the best deal on a new Ford F-150 pickup truck. Broadus Albertson, my sales professional, was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. Out of 12 e-mails sent to various dealers in my area of the SC Upstate, Edwards Auto supplied the best timely response, and the best deal, no typical salesman BS here. I would strongly recommend this dealership.
