Spoke with Alvin the manager on 11/10/17 because only the expensive items in my wife’s car were “missing.” They told me to make a list and that they would wait for the insurance company to call them regarding the items. It’s just convenient that we recovered all the items in the car EXCEPT for $700 worth of sunglasses. Then they make you sign a form saying they aren’t liable before you even see the car. We will be take this company to court. It’s not about the items this is purely on principle. And if you read the other reviews we aren’t the only ones with the “missing” items issue.
If I could give this place no stars I would!!! The customer service is terrible. I drove 3.5 hours to meet a dispatch for a vehicle pickup and no one ever showed up!!! I called and they don't answer. Someone even picked up the phone and hung it up!!!
My car was taken to Copart after I wrecked it until I found a body shop to fix it. After my car arrived at body shop, I showed up to check it out and when I did.....my car had been gone through, everything thrown in the trunk and a half smoked cigarette in driver floorboard. I do not smoke and no one who has been in my vehicle is allowed to smoke. I am beyond f**kin pissed and will do whatever it takes to get answers from copart. My car also had grease stains all in it. I will NOT give up on the a**holes who messed with my personal belongings and thought it was ok to smoke a Salem cigarette in my car. Inconsiderate f**ks.
The only issue I have had is getting a person on the phone. When I went to the main office in Gaston to pick up my gate passes and titles the ladies were friendly and very helpful. The only reason I have not given them 5 stars is the difficulty reaching them by phone.
They leave you on hold forever, just to CLICK ON YOU! its ridiculous, no type of respect for their customers. i have been waiting for 20 minutes, they click on me and i call again and im on hold for another 15 !!!

Would rate this coparts a minus ten if it was possible.Worst service ,most incompetent employees.I am a transport company.The employees at this location have no clue what they are doing. You go to one location for the paperwork then they ship you off to the second location where the vehicles should be.You get there the vehicle is gone!!or they say its gone.They have no clue.Its always a waste of a drivers valuable time. They do not fork inop cars onto your trailer.This place should be out of business.I guess people buy cars here cause they cost them nothing but buyers beware.When you try to pick it up it will be a cluster F#$@K Expect to pay alot to have your vehicle picked up from this location as it is a huge waste of time for transport companies to go to this Coprts

Ive bought a vehicle on 30th of sept as of yet still havent received my title . Once they told me they will buy the vehicle back. That was a lie. Then they will refund me $169 transport fee that the driver lost the title. That didnt happen. Bad business practices unfortunately very dissatisfied.
This place has no credibility to them. And they were cheated on people. Everyone should be careful.

My car was wrecked on August 21, 2018. My insurance company called them to pick up my car. It is now August 24, 2018 and they still HAVEN'T picked up my car yet. It's STILL on the scene of the accident!!!!!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!

The Gaston SC location had a tow truck come to my tow facility and hook up to 2 vehicles and return to copart with them, AFTER COPART WAS CLEARLY INSTRUCTED A DESIGNSTED TIME TO DO SO, WHICH WASNT THEN, THEY LFT NO NOTE OR CHECKS AND THST WAS 2 weeks who and Brittany, the girl handling this, had been a absolute nasty witch, I emailed mangers,regional a manager, and nobody cared.
This place is a joke from the top down. I've talked and emailed members of this staff at every level and the lack of professionalism is impressive. If you are brave enough to call be prepared to wait for a while. You also have a strong chance on being hung up on as soon as a person picks up the phone. This facility has not only sold me cars that were grossly misrepresented, I've received an incorrect car all together before. This is by far the worst organization I've ever dealt with in my lifetime.

HUGE Copart and tiny parking area. Copart is too cheap to make a decent parking area. Pull in is even worse, steep hill and only one truck at a time. Awful !!

These Mutha F&*%#$$ broke into my wifes van, stole all the personal affects, then towed it assuming it was a donation. At present, (April 26, 2016), there is a stolen vehicle report very much alive with the Augusta, North Augusta and Aiken police departments. These a$$ holes at Copart affiliated with Rustys Auto Salvage are nothing more than common criminals, theives and the rudest and most ignorant, uneducated idiots I have ever dealt with. I am in the midst of scheduling an appointment with Channel 12 News regarding BOTH the aforegoing companies and the names of the individuals I have personally spoken with. Absolutely poor knowledgeable soulless workers
If you have claim with State Farm and they send your total loss information to this company you MUST follow up on your own - or accept unreasonable delays. I had two total loss claims within a month and had to contact State Farm who then had to call this company both times to verify they had received the overnight delivery of the title/key sent via UPS. This was needed to complete my claim and receive my payment. The first time I waited an additional week - the second time it should have been received on Monday and when I had nothing updated on my claim I again contacted State Farm on Wednesday so they could call and find out what the situation was. Both times I was told that Copart simply did not scan and log the information. Update your office procedures, hire better staff or something. These delays when trying to replace a total loss vehicle with much needed insurance payments are stressful and unnecessary.

One star is to much for this place they need negative 5 stars... no management or knowledgeable staff. They can’t process customer orders or understand customer needs. All they know how to do is charge fees and move like snails. Bought nine cars and they couldn’t even get my titles ready in an hour let alone 2 weeks. Buy at IAA stay clear of Gaston Copart.
If you are ever going to pick up a vehicle from this location, be prepared to wait to get loaded for at least 2-3hours.
If your a carrier and picking up a vehicle, you have NO space to maneuver and with the little space available, there is no clear way of picking up vehicles. The office is a hundred yards from where the nearest TRUCK is allowed to stop. To hand in ur sheet for vehicle pickup u have to stand at a gate no matter the weather until a loader comes to see you. The staff is completely sarcastic. I watch numerous times drivers arguing over damage to they 're trailer because the loading and crowded even with little traffic.
This place if full of thieves my boyfriend car was sent there and half of the stuff in the trunk was gone. When asked who handled the car no answer. If your car is towed here bring the police.

I've been hauling cars for many years through the South East and the Gaston Copart is the absolute worst!!! From inside management, front office ladies and load operators ALL have a seriously bad attitudes! Copart needs to clean house and hire personnel that care about their job and company. I tried to give it no stars but it wouldn't let me!

This is the worst experience I've ever had with any type of business. Customer service representatives are rude, no way to contact their General Manager. My car would not have even been picked up if I didn't call to remind them the day after they "sent a driver" that never showed up. They've held important paper work from insurance company, because of what seems like pure laziness. I've had to call 5 different times over the past couple weeks to remind them of what they are supposed to be doing in regards to my vehicle, which could have been handled in less than 1 day if they knew what they were doing. If I could give them 0 stars, I would and I will never use this company again.

This place is fuc**** HORRIBLE!! First of all my things (INCLUDING MY IPHONE 4 and 5s) were stolen out of my 2012 Toyota Camry XLE in November 2016! My car was cleaned out before I even knew where tf my car was! I asked the middle aged white woman at the front desk of the "State Farm lot" whether my car had been cleaned out because my things were gone and she told me NO! Which was a bold faced lie! I activated Find my iPhone app and it notified me that my iPhone 4 was in Columbia SC near Kilbrannon Rd! And yesterday my phone notified me that my iPhone 5s was at an address in Saluda, SC which that phone was recovered by the police! F****** thieves!

Poorest customer service I ever received in my entire life, scammers! My car was advertised as run and drive but when the driver went to pick it up, the wont even start, they picked it up with the lift and on to the truck. There the driver got suspicious and called me to let me know about the whole situation, right there I told him to drop it off at my mechanic's shop instead of my house. When the car was putted on the lift, they found that the motor was gone, piston was hanging out and oil dripping everywhere. I contacted the manager in that yard and he promised that the car will be taken back but he never got back with me. I called him back many times and left him messages with pretty much every rep but with no response, then I decided to go to the next level. I contacted Don Purdy who suppose to be regional or whatever boss for copart and this is the third or fourth month without him getting back with me. At this point I do not want to deal with them anymore because I've given them enough chances. The last time before this incident they sold me a reported stolen Mercedes truck which I have to go through hell and lost hundreds of dollars before I was straightened up. I've bought almost eight cars from copart and I'm just a poor student whose trying to do the right thing to survive but they do not care but the money they getting from you. Me personally I stopped messing with them but I'm also giving sincere advise to my love ones to be extremely careful if they still want to do business with them.
Inside lady that waited on me was just terrible! There is a definitely " I don't care about anything attitude" that comes from the front desk. I've only been here once but heard from our other driver that by far this is the worst copart that we go to. What's really sad is that with all these bad reports, copart doesn't seem to care.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My insurance contracts with CoPart. The first Tow truck driver was Non-English speaking and was unable to communicate with me in order to even find my car. 12 hours later CoPart communicated with the same person via an interpreter. The person still did not show up by Noon. CoPart dispatched another Tow company that was to pick my car up by 5pm. They did not show up. Copart was of course closed and my car had to be removed from the property in which it had been sitting for 2 days. I had the car towed elsewhere for storage until Insurance could figure out what to do. The following morning CoPart called to tell me they had picked my car up the day before by 5pm but were now unable to locate my vehicle. They LOST MY CAR ... or at least they thought they had lost my car. I knew exactly where the car was because it had never been in their possession. Needless to say I have no faith that they will be able to handle the inspection of my vehicle since they can't even manage to pick a car up and tow it from point a to point b within a 48 hour window. RIDICULOUSLY, confusion and alot of undue stress.

Worst company! ! Hire subcontractors but do not stand behind the drivers they send to pick up salvage when damage is done by them. They are rude beyond words!! All I kept hearing was " we are a multi-million dollar company " that was after I made a,request that they pay $800 damages done by thier driver.
