I had my car serviced here my car was towed in and had to sit in their parking lot over night and my vehicle was broken into although the dealership did replace my broken glass and the tint they didn’t fix all the cosmetic issues that came with my car being vandalized. And my biggest issue is that I had to call to check on my vehicle to be notified that my car had been broken into. Nobody called me as soon as they found out the car was damaged. They did service my vehicle but no discounts or complimentary services were offered. Long story short, customers should be priority to knowing something has taken place with their valuables when they trusted you with them..

On 11/9/2016, my husband and I received a Happy Anniversary email from Robert Wells, General Manager, because we had purchased a truck several years ago from Chevrolet of Spartanburg. It actually prompted me to check out their inventory online and my husband and I stopped by the dealership to look at a car we found listed there. We were very interested in looking at and possibly purchasing it. However, once we arrived at the dealership we were told that just because it's on the Chevrolet of Spartanburg website doesn't mean it's actually in Spartanburg...or even the state. The girl helping us was very nice and told us that it could be brought up to look at even though it's only listed for $2950. That turned out to not be true. After her asking "management" 2 different times, she came back saying that the only way they would have the car brought up is if we purchased it first. I realize that this is not an expensive car at all...it's actually pretty cheap. However, I feel you should have all of your sales people trained to know that if something is showing in your inventory but is not actually on your lot and is a cash only sale it must be purchased sight unseen...no test driving...no looking at it...nothing. That's a little ridiculous. We could have saved our time and yours by finding out up front that we had to buy the car first just to see it later. I hope you have a wonderful day and happy sales to you all! You won't have to worry about us taking up your time for such a small sale.

The wait time and lack of communication is what made my visit a little unnerving. I dropped my vehicle off at 10am with an appointment that I admit I was running late for. I called ahead of time to let them know I would be 15 minutes late. My taillight/signal light were out and I needed it to be checked for wiring errors. The issue turned out to be a simple fix however I had to contact the service department multiple times throughout the time my vehicle was there. The first time was around 12 to see if it had been taken into the shop yet which I was told it was and that they were still working on it. I was told i would be given a call back when my representative came back from lunch at 2:15 pm. 2:40 pm came around and I called them and asked if the vehicle was ready which they claimed it was and I informed them I would need to be picked up. They told me they had one guy already out who would pick me up when he was finished with his other pick up. 3:45 came around and i still hadn't received a call so I called back and was told again that someone would come get me and they would call me when they were coming. 30 minutes later I was picked up and I live less than 5 miles away from the dealership. The associates were very friendly and Pete was very helpful in answering my questions. However the time frame I was initially given of a couple hours turned into a four hour wait for what was a simple bulb replacement.

We were invite by mail to come in and possibly get us in a 2019...since we are a large family raising 6 of our grands we thought this to be the ideal opportunity for us to get a bigger vehicle as they are growing bigger every day with the oldest being 12. We currently drive a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country with stow and go seats 3rd row double TVs backup camera in excellent condition. These SAP offered us a Malibu as a replacement...we purchased the Chrysler in June of 2017...never a late payment nor missed payment. I can't start to tell you why the salesperson and his manager felt the need to insult us...but that was a definite slap in our faces. These people aren't serious about selling and we did not need to waste our time. So when you get a letter in the mail as if it had been created just for you based on your information....go elsewhere. Chevrolet of Spartanburg is a faker!!!

They literally add $1,000 to your purchase for not financing. I was told that the bank gives them perks for getting people to finance vehicles, so anyone who doesn't finance and wants to purchase a vehicle has to pay an extra $1,000 according to Denzel in the sales department. Thanks for making it clear I should spend $10,000 cash at Dave Edwards, since they don't penalize you for not getting more I'm debt and paying interest.

While in the market for a used car we decided to stop at Chevrolet of Spartanburg. We met a salesman there his name is Eric. After looking over the selection of used vehicles they had we thought about taking a look at some of the new ones. After spending the later part of the morning and all afternoon there with Eric. We decided on a 2019 Chevy Cruze. Eric went above and beyond what a normal salesman would do. We got a fantastic deal on the car. we stopped by this afternoon which is 2 weeks later still trying to figure out the new technology on the car. Eric was there again to be his normally helpful self and answered all of our questions and help us set up the systems that we were unsure of. I would highly recommend Chevy of Spartanburg and look up Eric if you're in the market for a new or used car or truck. I will be going back again whenever I am in the market for my own truck. Chevrolet of Spartanburg hit the jackpot when they hired this man he has a definite asset for the company.

If I could leave a negative star I would do it I. a heartbeat. Dont ever purchase anything from this dealership. Had my local dealer work with this business. They didnt want to at the start but finally did. Made the purchase, but the dealership had added a dealer-addon sticker for a wheel pkg for $6000, they were ebay rims that the entire set could be bought for <$1000. Also the NEW car had used tires on it that were below the wear indicators. My local dealer made good on the tires and Chevrolet helped them to get me factory-approved rims! Shady dealership. My best advice would be "buyer beware" or better yet "run far far away!"

We have been taking our car here religiously for oil changes for about a year now. Today we had to have work done due to our car leaking coolant. My husband was quoted one price by Landon, then went to pick it up and was charged $100.00 over and above the already quoted price that they confirmed with him. Our car was there for an hour and a half and we were charged $300.00 for labor alone. When he confronted them about the price, Landon told him we would have been charged $300.00 for labor reguardless of if our car was there for 30 minutes or 3 hours, yet that was not disclosed to us prior to them starting the job. The customer service lady at the front desk who handles the cash out confirmed that was overly priced for their labor. Our total was $495.05 for a coolant leak. I am very displeased with being quoted one price and then being charged another, and hope that this post saves others from the same thing being done to them. We will not be taking any of our vehicles back here again.

Unless you’re buying a brand new Chevy do NOT purchase from here. You might see a great deal online on the older used cars but they will change the price increasingly by a significant difference. I walked in and the men were just sitting around the office goofing around playing on their cellphones didn’t even bother to acknowledge me waiting around awkwardly. Then when someone finally came around he seemed annoyed a bit rude. Took forever to check on the car that wasn’t even yet serviced but has been in their parking lot for 2+ months. Treated me like I had no knowledge whatsoever. I didn’t even wait for him to return the second time when he went to run my credit score which he ran a BUNCH and trashed my credit score, I left so fast and will NOT be coming back ever. Even if it was the only car dealership in the world this place is not worth it! Also !!!! The pictures online the car looked spotless but when I saw it up close in person it had major dents/scratches and the bumper was hanging off. Absolutely awful. Unpleasant experience this place doesn’t even deserve a 1 star. Do not waste your time here.

We just purchased my dream car a black 2019 Chevy Camaro on Saturday June 15th from Chevrolet Of Spartanburg. Rachel Morgan was our salesperson & she is the most AMAZING salesperson I have EVER dealt with!!!! She is so knowledgeable, kind, caring, & all around wonderful!!! I highly recommend using this dealership if you are in the market for a new or used vehicle & I highly recommend Rachel!!! She goes above & beyond what her job calls for. We will be purchasing a new truck for my husband as soon as we can & we will be coming back to Chevrolet Of Spartanburg to do so!!!! We will also be using Rachel as our salesperson!!!! Thank you Rachel for such an amazing experience. Everyone we dealt with was great as well including the mangers & finance officer. Everyone was super nice. Dealership was also clean & was kept in good condition. The only issue we really had was the printers went down before we got there so it took a while for us to get our paperwork done so we were there quite a while but everyone was very kind & apologetic. Also, the parts department sent my all weather mats back instead of installing them in the vehicle when it was first delivered on the lot like it was suppose to so they had to reordered them and I had to come back to pick them up but that was no problem. Rachel had them reordered & they came in two days later. She offered to deliver them to me but she has been out of the office for the last several days so I just went to pick them up which was fine....it gave me a reason to drive my new car. :) I highly recommend this dealership!!!

I just bought a new Chevy Malibu from here back in October. About 2 weeks ago I had a acceleration issue. So I took it in to get serviced. They kept the car about 2 hours and said everything was running normal. There was a ticking noise that they said was normal for the high pressure fuel pump. Well on Wednesday, I took it in for an oil change. They said the ticking noise had gotten much worse and they had to keep my car to figure out what was going on. They gave me a loaner car. After hearing nothing for about 30 hours of them having my car, i gave them a call. They said that the high pressure fuel pump and something in the cam shaft needed to be replaced. They said they would have it done by the end of the day. I then got a call around 5 pm. Said it wouldn't be done till Noon the next day. I told them I was leaving to go out of town, so could I just pick it up on Monday. They said that no matter what, I had to have the loaner car back the next day. I told them I wasn't going to be driving it, it was just going to be sitting in my garage. They told me that I couldn't put but so many miles on it. He clearly didn't understand the concept that I wasn't taking it out of town. So now even if my car isn't ready before I have to leave to go out of town, I still have to take the loaner car back. I have always had trouble with the service department here. In my last car, they claimed to have fixed a problem multiple times, but I kept having to take it back. I finally opened up a case with General Motors, and they finally got it fixed when they were threatened from the owners. This place has a terrible service department. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Wow these people are crooks, sold me a 2016 Nissan Altima, only had the car 15 days and transmission went out, i get a vehicle inspection from a Nissan dealer and i was told the vehicle had transmission issues before i purchased it, the car was under the LEMON LAW ACT, when i called they told i should have purchased a extended warranty, when i was offered no warranty at all. I asked can i see the History inspection on this car and was told no..These peoples are flat out crooks and BIAS towards certain customers of color..BEWARE...IN COURT THEY WILL SEE ME.

I went here to purchase a Chevy Malibu my credit isn't the best yet I walked off with a 2016!! Thanks to Tonya and and the financial team! 1 week later the bank called saying they were going to cancel my loan. Unfortunately I had to return the car. Some car dealerships would have allowed me to walk away. Which one person did. Tonya asked her Manger Jason to help me. Not only did they get me approved for another loan but Jason knocked an extra 1000 dollars off. I literally burst out crying. I will recommend anyone and everyone here! Two days after I bought my car roaches were coming out from under the dash and in the arm rest. They said they haven’t heard of it. They sprayed my car. Two days later I still have bugs. “ well ma’am we sprayed your car what was in there should be gone” so they want to spray it again. Now every time they spray it it takes about a hour. Needless to say i still have roaches in my car. So I paid $25000 for a car with bugs. Not satisfied at all.

I had a wonderful experience yesterday at this dealership. I inquired online about a vehicle I was interested in online, and came in during lunch to see it. I met with Dennis Emerson, and he showed me the vehicle. I liked it, and told him that I would come back after work to get my trade in appraised, and to test drive the car. When I came back I was greeted promptly, and the techs went to work appraising my vehicle, and were pretty much done by the time we got back from the test drive (15 min at the most). When they were done, Dennis immediately came back with numbers, no "talking with the sales manager" no other sales BS that you see at dealerships these days. If you want more detail read my recent review of Toyota of Greer. Anyways, we negotiated, and came to an agreeable price for both of us in less than an hour of walking in, test drive and appraisal included. My kind of place. I was out the door in my new car in under 2 hours, if you don't count the long phone call to my wife to make sure we were both on board with the purchase. Overall, I am very pleased, and the experience was about as easy as it could get.

If I could give them a zero I would. They are the dirtiest group of sales people I've ever self with. I got a car about 3 weeks ago and just had to pay 360 to get my car driveable again. I called them and they where like you should have got an extended warranty but no one offered me an extended warranty when I was purchasing the car. I will never buy another car from any Chevrolet dealership because of this place I am just lucky I have a great mechanic!!

I traveled from Charleston, SC to the upstate to look for another vehicle; I had a bad experience where my car was totaled out from my insurance company. I visited different car lots and had bad experiences. I will not name any names, but another car lot wanted me to sign a paper saying the vehicle I would be purchasing is considered a “TOW AWAY”. When they wanted me to sign that, I left immediately! By far, when I visited Chevrolet of Spartanburg, I felt at ease. I met Devin and the General Manager, Jermaine, and by far this is the best experience I have ever had buying my car! I have bought several cars in the past and have had bad experiences, but this has honestly been the best experience I have ever had! If you need another car, come and talk to Jermaine or Devin, or any of the sales staff, I am sure they will all treat you with respect, and answer all of your questions about the particular vehicle. They will also make sure that when you are purchasing your car, you will have a safe and reliable form of transportation!

Ok so I have to update my review. I took my grandfather to buy a new car. He found one here that he really liked. He bought it the 3rd week in July with 22 miles on it. We had it 3 days and the check engine light comes on. As soon as it come on I took it up there. When I parked it there it had 170 miles. They told me it needed a new transmission and they didn't know when they would have one. Well it is now the 2nd week of August and I still haven't heard anything. This place gave us a hard time about a loaner car saying we could RENT one. Needless to say I still dont have one. A $24,000 car we are paying for and don't even have. I would like a new car with no problems and preferably from another dealership! I will never come back here due to the fact the way we have been treated! Other than this the sales rep. was awesome.

I am Harold's daughter, my husband and I purchased the car for Mr. Vaughan. Rachel - sales rep - was awesome. I can't say as much for the others. We were told they would try to find the missing floor mat and a spare tire - that didn't happen. I got a service engine light the next day. I waited almost an hour - mostly ignored -- until an assistant manager plugged in the code reader, cleared the computer and told me I hadn't tightened the gas cap correctly. My husband and I are both retired Navy Flight engineers and aircraft mechanics. I got the light again the next day. I had to have the purge valve replaced. We are not at ALL likely to vist there again unless we get a floor mat and spare tire.

I’ve never had anything but issues with the service department for this location. Called to inform them the camshaft sensor that was replaced six months ago for the second time was going bad again and the check engine light was on. Carson in the service department told me to bring it in. I get off of work arrange for my wife to meet me there I am told there will be $100 service charge for diagnosing the vehicle, and $650 charge to replace the sensor because her vehicle is at 101,000 miles. I was told over the telephone since this will be the third time having it replaced in six months it would be covered. Once I get there a total different story. This service department is a joke this is exactly why I Purchased nothing before vehicles now.

I bought a Used 2017 Kia Optima from this location. Everything went smoothly with buying the car and trading in my old car. But the problems started once I left the dealership. My representative forgot to get me to sign the Buyer's Guide before I left and my car didn't have a spare tire. But the biggest issue came when I found a collision report receipt in my glove compartment that said the car had $2,100 worth of repairs done that was never reported or disclosed to me. All around I am happy with my purchase but disappointed in the attention to detail and customer support. UPDATE: As an update to my past review I have since had to replace my tire on my car due to a leak I pointed out at the dealer that was never resolved, and I have had to pay over 200 dollars to fix the tire as well as the wheel lock keys which I was told would be handled by the dealership. My representative at the dealership was Chad, I would avoid him at all costs!

If I could give this rating a ZERO, I would. Today I went here for the timing belt that Chevrolet put on my car. Don’t ask for permission to work on your car. Overpriced. I offered to buy my own part for the car and they tried to charge me $475 WITH MY OWN PART. They don’t do business the correct way. Very rude and disrespectful. Manager very rude. I wouldn’t suggest going here. Employee got smart with me. They just do it and expect you to pay for something you didn’t ask for. When you attempt to go here make sure you record what they say to you. They also went through my belongings in my car. Chevrolet dealership is a scam. Chevrolet should be OUT OF BUSINESS

Our car is new -had it 2 weeks started leaking air from a rear tire filled it back up 4 times dropped in to be it checked/ fixed. Waited 1 1/2 hrs to get it fixed. No one would say if the valve was bad or had nail. Handed us some sheets tire repair $25.66. In smaller print tire patched.. If I lived closer to Marchant Chevrolet in Charleston area I would have gone there, they would have fixed it for free.

I can see why the reviews at this so called Chevy Dealership are bad, its because the folks (such as Ken and Scott) are very unfriendly toward customers with follow up concerns. They wont return calls, they lie in there responses, JUST STAY away and go to any other dealership to purchase a car or truck. Today I filed a complaint with the Spartanburg Sheriffs Department and the SC DMV. We absolutely love the car we bought. But it was the first and last vehicle for us to purchase from this dealership. There was no follow up from the salesman, and worse yet, he did not return my calls when I left messages. Also, there was a issue with the vehicle, and they showed no interest in resolving that. I have purchased a lot of GM vehicles over the past 40+ years. I can't recall ever being less satisfied with a car dealer. The sales manager gives you the run around like it's a game to him. Im reporting them to BBC and GM Customer Service. Also other sites will receive this same receive this same review.

I can't complain about the price of the vehicle or the financing I was able to procure. However, there were, "hidden costs," when the downpayment/payment options were first presented to me and no specific interest rate info was included. When I inquired as to the interest rate they told me and I immediately noticed that the math for payments was WAY off. When I inquired further, they FINALLY disclosed that they had included thousands of dollars of additional warrantees in the financed amount. We indicated to the sales team that we were exceedingly displeased with this practice. The sales and management staff seemed to be of the opinion that this is standard operating procedure. If this is standard new car sales practice, it needs to be abolished.

The service department is the pits. One time they were supposed to rotate my tires, I only had a plug in one tire, when I got home the tire was not moved. Another time they were supposed to repair an airbag light. The light stayed off for a short time, now it comes on everytime I drive my silverado.

My experience with Chevrolet of Spartanburg was great. The service rep Carson was friendly and courteous. The repair time for an electronic part failure was excellent and surprising. One of the reasons for this response was "make sure you call and schedule an appointment and be there on time". The labor rate is high but professional. The only negative is not with Chevrolet of Spartanburg but with their corporate customer service but we are still communicating trying to resolve the repair cost. Thanks!

I had to get up early this morning before the news on the CW came on at 7. When I turned on the TV I saw this Dawg TV. I almost turned it off but I kept it on just out of curiosity. I can understand injecting a little humor into a commercial but this was just sad. I didn't find any of it funny. I, personally, would be embarrassed to see myself on TV acting like that. My fiance and I stopped by this dealership to look at a GMC Yukon. The sales representative was great! But, the financial manager and the GM were HORRIBLE. We asked about the dash being cracked and the GM told us to super glue the dash back together and thought it was "down right genius". The financial manager acted like he was better than us and slammed papers down on the desk in front of us for absolutely no reason. His name is Matt and he is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. I will never buy a vehicle from such a callous company.

Took my 2014 Chevrolet Sonic to be serviced and they called me and told me the engine was misfiring due to a bad coil pack. They told me that it was cost $615.00 to fix it. I took my truck and trailer to pick up my car. I paid the $100 diagnostic fee and loaded up the car. Stopped by O'Reilly Auto parts and picked up a new coil pack and spark plugs for $125.00 and fixed my car in under 20 minutes. Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere else to be checked out and possibly you could save bookoos of money like I did.

We scheduled an appointment with their garage to repair our car three days ago. Both my wife and I shifted our days around so we could accommodate this. We get there and they tell us that this appointment is just to "assess" the car and then we would have to make another appointment to have the actual service done. While we get the reasoning behind this, it would have been nice to know at the beginning before scheduling around what was assumed to be an all day car repair. Then, to add insult to injury, the people at the service desk were very rude and unhelpful. Not only did they barely acknowledge us the whole time, but when they asked who we spoke to and we told them, they said he was in the hospital and that we could go talk to him at Spartanburg Regional. SERIOUSLY?? All we are trying to do is get the air conditioning fixed on our car that is still under warranty! Needless to say, we will not be back, and we will absolutely steer anyone considering using their service away. Completely offended and amazed at this level of service.

Went in to have a tune up and they were supposed to check our car because it had been skipping. Well after over a $1,000 of maintenance it did not help. Then we took the car back a week later and told us it was the torque converter, or transmission. Well why didn’t you tell us this a week ago when we were having services done and you were suppose to diagnose what the problem was. They just took us for over 1,000 worth of work that didn’t fix the problem. Well it won’t happen again. I would not take my car to them again. We purchased a new car because we didn’t want to pay for a torque converter that may not fix the problem, but didn’t even think about looking at their inventory.
