Upon taking my partners SLK 32 AMG in for service we were given three different reasons for the passengers brake light malfuctioning. Consequently we were quoted $380 for replacement of the assembly. We asked to see the evidence of these problems due to the inconsistencies in diagnosis, yet the vehicle was reassembled and we were told it was too much work to take it back apart to show us upon pickup. I was able to remove the assembly myself in about fifteen minutes (I am not a Merecedes authorized technician) and disprove their reasoning. I was also able to fix the problem at no cost. Please ask questions and ask to see proof of diagnosis these people are scam artists. Upon fixing the problem I called and spoke with Dan the service manager who was extremely rude and continued to speak over me until I called him down for it. Take your car elsewhere to somewhere you can trust and to people who will respect you! If you are paying the premium for Mercedes authorized service you deserve to be treated better than they are apparently capable of conducting themselves!

My wife and I decided to order a 2018 Mercedes GLC 300 so we visited two MB dealerships within 60 miles of our house and chose Carlton Motors. We called ahead for an appointment and as soon as we walked inside we were greeted by Robin Rollins with a big smile, a sincere handshake and an enthusiastic welcome to Carlton Motorcars. Next he presented Kristina with a long stem rose which made us feel special. My wife already knew how she wanted to build our new car and Robin filled out the order explaining the various options which made the process go smoothly. Over the next couple of months Robin kept us informed of the progress in our new car build and on October 15th our new Mercedes arrived at the dealership. We went to pick up our new car the next day and Robin spent about two hours giving us a tutorial on how to use all of the new technology on the car. Our overall experience was superb compared to all of the other dealerships we have purchased cars from over the past 40 years. We are so glad that we are now part of the Carlton Motorcars family. I am really upset with Carlton Mercedes-Benz. After having my car towed in for some repairs, the technician failed to properly connect my radiator hose after a leak test. A week later the hose popped off leaving me stranded on a work lunch break. I missed the rest of the work day because of this. The car was then towed into Carlton and the SA advised me that it was their screw up. I was upset but this mistake was understandable. However, what is absolutely not acceptable is that when I went to pick up my AMG Mercedes-Benz I see that the coolant residual hasn't even been cleaned from the engine bay. In other words, they screw up, leaving dry coolant all over my engine and don't even bother to wipe it down. This is on a AMG Mercedes-Benz and is not acceptable by any means! I have payed thousands of dollars to this department and they can't even take 5 minutes to clean off the mess they created. Did they not think I would open my hood to check things out? The service department is more concerned with quantity than quality and do not respect your vehicle the way you will. I also noticed deep swirl marks/scratches in my paint after their "complimentary wash and vacuum". The car cleaners use the same rags and wash buckets over and over again, dragging the crud from the previous man's car all over yours. I don't expect an 80 year old in an E Class to notice things like this, but if you see your Benz or AMG as something special go somewhere else. I think after all the time lost and hassle with everything they could at least offer me a free oil change, but nothimg. Lost time and money on their mistake.

Our experience at Carlton Dealership was a very good one. I just went there to look at the cars and ended buying an SUV. Everyone treated us with respect and were very professionals. When you get there starting from the owner Mr. Carlton to the salesman Bob Brackett and the guys that finished the sale helped us very well. I will start by saying that I hate leaving bad reviews but this business practice deserves one. Last week, I made an offer on a 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV - $1500 below what they were asking. The used car manager, Mr. Maddox, quickly accepted in writing. I asked him for wire transfer info and he said that I would have in a few minutes. I waited for 36 minutes at the bank until I received an email from Mr. Maddox saying he made a mistake and got the numbers wrong. I questioned him and could tell that I was not getting the full story. So I told him what I thought happened and he sent me a reply email where he admitted that he did sell to someone else for more money even after agreeing, in writing, to the deal that I accepted. I replied my extreme dissatisfaction and requested to speak to the GM but he refused to provide me with that info. I called back in, spoke to receptionist, and was told that I would need to speak with Heather Carlton, the GM/Owner. I sent her an email and left her a voicemail within 2 hours of the situation but never received a call or reply email back from her. I finally received a call back three days later from Brian Paben who said he was the sales manager. He listened to my issue and received the email from Heather, the owner, but said the car was already gone before he knew anything about it and there was nothing that he could do. He went on and on about how this has never happened before, how they do not do business like this, and how could he possibly make it up to me. I replied the only way was to honor the agreed upon deal and anything short of that was unacceptable. Of course, he said not possible and basically a sorry was all they were willing to offer. They purposely chose to sell the car out from under me for $1500 more in profit. It proves it went all the way to the top since they had ample time to rectify, but chose not to. It amazes me how such a deceitful business can have such a highly prestigious brand like MB and operate like this? Needless to say, I purchased a Cadillac from a very reputable dealer that operates ethically, unlike Carlton Motorcars. After a few days, I determined a way they could repay me and get me to remove this very truthful review. If they can prove to me that they have donated $500 to St Jude’s Children Hospital, $500 to their local Make a Wish Chapter and $500 to Veterans of America, I will immediately remove this review. I would be pleased because it would be proof that it was, as they say, truly not about the money, just an “HONEST MISTAKE”. I really hope that I can remove this review, but it’s up to them to right the wrong and put that $1500 to great causes….. if it was truly an honest mistake!!!!!

After selecting a vehicle for my 80 year old grandmother and finalizing the purchase price, the sales person was non-responsive to schedule a pick-up date/time. After multiple attempts to get an answer at the main number AND after leaving two messages for the sales person in 16 hours, the receptionist who did answer the phone was pointed and rude. You can find better customer service at a fast food restaurant than at Carlton Mercedes Benz.

$19,000 engine replacement could have been avoided. (Fixed in South Charlotte) Will only loan mercedes rentals if you purchase at there dealerships. There more interested in getting your car out then fixing the problem. Had a coolant leak for three months they kept telling me to put water into it instead of coming in for service or warranty repair. I was told by the manager since my 2014 cla has 113k miles they will give me a loaner thats a equivalent value. If the dealership actually took that into account for every customer the value of a Mercedes since they're their worst depreciating car brand on the market everyone should be rolling off in a Kia loaner.

5☆ We actually received the safety recall notice in the mail from Mercedes Benz. I called them and they set it up.. They had to order the parts then called us back to give us a date.. They let us pick a date that was convenient for us the whole process was rather smooth we had no problems.. I know that they are remodeling but that still never caused us any issues.. The people that took care of us was very nice.. and the guy that gave us work with our car thru the whole process his name was Scott - He was really great... Overall I would say highly recommended and that was before I got in my car to leave and noticed that they had washed and vacuumed it out and took very good care of my car so that was a plus bonus and that really made it worthwhile.. highly pleased .

I have been a Mercedes benz owner for more than 8 years. Traveling from the dealership up in New Jersey, down to Atlanta and a few places in between. I've never dropped my car off without being given a loaner, especially for multiple day servicing. That's ridiculous!! Although, the service department was nice I don't think that I should have to calculate in the cost of a rental on top of the cost of the service. Maybe someone from coorperate office needs to address this issue.

Our tire had a blow out while on a road trip and after waiting three hours for the tow truck and another hour for the tow truck to get our car and us to them to replace our tire, the shop would've been closed However they stayed opened and waited for our arrival to replace the tire. My wife Lease a Mercedes A220 2019 as a gift for me with the intention to keep it at the end of the lease. The car has only 1690 miles, had it for about 1 1/2 month and had 2 problems with it already, I went back to the dealer talk to Brian the manager and I wanted to return or exchange the car because to my believe this car is factory defective. No solution was given to me other than fixing the car, wish I feel it will give more problems and inconvenience to my daily life. The sun roof liner, I opened it 4 times and it damage and the release on the gas cap cover damage only after putting gas less than 7 times. I expected more from a new Luxury Brand. Another problem with this car now the ac stays on heat and the same thing. Thay said..they keep fixing a new car like if it was bought used. I don't believe you have my best interest. How many things need to happen to be considered a lemon...

My key fob would not unlock my doors. I called the service dept. and told them what was happening , they told me to order a new key from the parts dept. I ordered a key at $280 , key came in and still did not work . The parts guy came out to my car to check it , he went to get service guy to come out and check it . He said then , OH , no one check to see if it was the key or something in the car that was messed up . I sais NO!!!! Then I have to get appointment to get the car checked out . Now I am told , it will be $1215 to fix it . I said no way !!! Then I get charged $129 for the service check . SO I AM OUT $400 AND STILL CAN USE KEY FOB TO UNLOCK MY CAR . I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO CARLTON MOTORS !!!!!

The receptionist wasn't very friendly or welcoming. Went there to get information about extended warranty. The warranty specialist was busy and after he finished with his customer , I asked her should I go over or is she going to tell him that I was waiting on him. She nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders. I went over and introduced myself and from that point the process was friendly and extremely professional. If you're representing the point of entry one should at least have a pleasant personality with ALL CUSTOMERS, not pick and choose the people she thinks deserves respect.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to write one for Carlton Mercedes of Greenville, I recently needed a replaced my wrecked 2012 C300 and found myself at Carlton Mercedes. My salesman was Sean, I have never had such a pleasant car buying experience, it was the most painless, fun (usually car buying is not) experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. Sean was respectful, and genuinely cared about selling me car I desire though I did not have a stellar credit. I was there on Friday and he worked his tail off to get me 2016 C300 with Night Package same day , even before the vehicle was ready, they gave me 2018 CLA as loaner, the Manager was involve in making sure my concerns are addressed. Sean is extremely friendly and trustworthy, everyone at the place is friendly I had to take the car back in for mbrace activation, even though it took couple of hours, they gave me a loaner and wash my car once it was done. I could not have chosen a better dealership and sales person to buy a car from as Carlton Mercedes and Sean D. I have no issue recommending Sean D and Carlton Mercedes to anyone or going back to do business with them again.

This is by far the worst place to get a Mercedes. The staff is terrible. Bought a car a year ago and was a custom built. Took forever for it to deliver but never got any updates. I had to call them all the time to get an update. Figured when you spent $$$ you should at least get a phone call every now and then. They were always, oh ok. I'll call you next time but they never did. When it was getting ridicously delayed no options to help with the delay were offered e.g. loner, etc. They refused to do anything -- oh what great customer care. My wife decided after a year to get a bigger car and I went there today to see about selling it here. They buying Agent, Bryson, was the worst person I have ever met. Only turned around once to see me and say hi and I had to extend my hand out 2x before he shook it. He then quickly got up and went to the car (20 seconds) and just looked up the vin number, never asked anything. I reminded him I only bought the car one year ago. Went back in and he tells me, with his back to me, I'll only give you $$. He did not even get up or turn around. -- Such Wonderful Customer Care!!. I made sure to ask him his name and he got up then. Little did he know it was to write this wonderful review of his actions today. This is the worst place to buy a car and I absolutely do not recommend anyone sane buy a car from here. My wife and I are both professionals and will tell all of our Lawyer/Physicians/Dentists/Business friends not to come here. I've had a much better time and excellent care at NorthLake in Charlotte, NC and in Paramus, NJ at Prestige Mercedes The only good thing about this place is Mr. Carlton -- who is a true Gentleman -- funny, caring and with a heart of gold. Unfortunately, NONE of his staff has those characteristic.
