When we bought a used 2014 Kia come to find out months later they lied to us about what our warranty covers. The dealership added a $2000 charge to our loan that we were never told about and found months later after going through paperwork we found it. (We were in a hurry so didn't check it properly before signing so anyone buying anything take your time reading paperwork). When bought car the original owners had an extra key our dealer said we would receive it. Took a good month to finally get a key after they had to order it since never got the key from another dealership. Was told after ordered it would have to pay for it to be programmed which I refused to do since it was in our paperwork we would get it and money was never discussed. I did get that straightened out...one good thing after month of calling. After hurricane some things weren't working, so made an appt with dealership. Found out then my warranty was not what we were originally told, but I paid the money and ordered the part. Then when we paid and ordered the part I was told a different story every time I called. I waited 6 weeks for a part was told would be there in 1-2 days. When I called to check on the part it was sitting there for 3 weeks and no one notified me. After asking for an appointment was told to drive it on in. I drove 30-40 min here to be told I needed to make appointment. The sales and service department needs to have more communication. After this unless something major happens I never plan on coming back here. I could of ordered the part for $20 off amazon whith a whole lot less struggle and aggravation. Also know that the dealership will tell you anything to sell a car, so don't expect good service once you drive off the lot. Now after finally getting part fixed that I ordered 6 wks ago my backup sensor which worked when I took my car there now isn't working. I got told so many reasons why it can't be fixed. Very very frustrated at the lack of service at this place.

I wouldn't recommend them for used cars. In less then a month I'm having problems with my car. Called to speak with the guy who slick talked me into the reliable car....as he put it. Had an oh-well attitude. Told me by state law they are allowed to sale bad cars. Now I'm stuck with a bad car and spending more money on the car then my payments. (A 2019 Kia Sorento for under $22,000, very low miles, V6, Navigation System, etc!!! She offered a deal that I couldn’t refuse!! ( Marie you Rock!!) Travis, the finance person, made sure I understood all the small print!!! He explained my interest rate, warranties, bank who financed my vehicle, Gap insurance, platinum options, and etc... They have to be crooks they told me my trade in was worth 1k...its a 2009 ford flex no lights on fully loaded runs great...yes it has 190k miles but come on a rust bucket that runs is worth a thousand dollars. Will never recommend this place.

I came to Car Town Kia to look at the 2016 Kia Optima. Everyone there was SO helpful! The salesman Jeff, was extremely knowledgeable. He answered all my questions, walked me through all the features, models, service department, etc. We went on 2 test drives and he encouraged me to drive the car as long as I needed. They even let me test drive the manager's car! They did NOT make me feel like I was wasting anyone's time (Unlike the local Honda dealer). One of the major pros of buying a Kia would be being able to work with this dealer.

Called to make appointment to have them check my air conditioner for a 2017 car I just bought a few months ago. Appt was made after being told I had to have it before 4 pm bc they wouldn't do anything after that. So after having to take a day off work and to drive from out of town there i arrived. I was early so I checked in. My appoint was at 1. Instead of telling me then I was made to wait till almost 130 to be told their diagnostic machine for the A.C. was out and we would new to reschedule. I asked would it still need to be after 4 and was told yes. I told the girl I had taken off work for this and got an "oh."

Worst service experience ever!!! Drive a little more and take your car to another Kia dealer. I took my 2013 Soul in for warrenty work for what i had thought wouldnt take long. 2 months later i finally get my Soul back...mind you that through out those 2 months i had to repeatedly call for updates because they wouldnt call me to le me know anything or even return my calls. But the unimaginable lengthy time wasnt the only issue. The techs damaged the paint under my rear lights, some how gouged my rear bumper on the driver rear side, reinstalled the dash incorrectly, managed to make a very small burn mark in my driver side rear and front seat, left a foul smell in the car (which i have yet to trace), damaged a few items inder the hood, and the best part is the job they did to fix the issue was done in a manor that looks like a backyard mechanic would have done. They cut open the wiring harness that goes into the firewall to find the shorted wire, they re ran the wire but it is just loose and hanging around there and then they never closed back up the wire harness loom... Oh but it gets even better, when i took it back up to them to show them the issues the service advisor Jay was bot pleasent about it. He was rude and was often right close to my face. Way to close and in my personal space. When i told him i was also taking this up with kia corporate that is when he became hostel. He began to have a very bad attitude and when i called him out on it he got worse. So at this point i went directly to the general manager at the dealership Tony. Tony was not pleasant at all to deal with. He was very rude and tried to turn everything around on me. He acted as though it didnt matter that the techs damaged the car and did things incorrectly. He talked down to me as well as very rudely. I have never ever been talked to in that manor by any memeber of management anywhere. Needless to say i am taking this all up with Kia Corporate . I know this is a leangthy review but i hope this may save someone else a headache. No one should have to go through this or be treated like i have been.

Was just looking and was approached by MR. Did his speech and convinced me to buy. Made a deal and stated I would let them know in morning of 8-16-2017 as I wanted to talk to my wife. Called in the morning to confirm deal, MR said he would have all paperwork ready when I got there. After an hour and 30 minute drive and spending 30 or so minutes going over paperwork the sales manager comes out and tells me they can't sell it to me for that price. EVEN THOUGH THEY MADE THE DEAL, and it was a sales manager who made the deal!! Would give them 0 (ZERO) stars if it would let me!!!! Shameful!!!

I’ve purchased 2 cars from Cartown Kia, and both experiences were phenomenal. My most recent experience, I purchased and 2018 Kia Stinger GT1.. they did not have the car I wanted on the lot but they quickly found one and retrieved it from another dealer the same day. They never pressured me into any kind of deal that I wasn’t comfortable with. My salesman, Kaleb Forbes, was very professional, helpful and personable. He made sure I was informed of all the details of the car buying process. I can not sing the praises of Cartown Kia enough. From the sales department to the service department, every experience I’ve had at Cartown has simply been a pleasure.

I had friends that came to visit me in NC. While on their way home their Kia Sorento gave them some trouble on Sunday July 1st. This man is ill and on oxygen 24/7. He brought the car in to have diagnostic testing only to find out that it was the "High Pressure fuel pump ". Our friends called my husband who's been a (mechanic for 46years), dealership was going to charge an exorbitant amount of money. My husband picked up the part that Car Town Kia told him he needed. We drove 4 hours to Florence and in the morning my husband installed the part. That did not fix the problem. My husband and his friend went back to recoup some of the money that was paid for an incorrect diagnostic test. They were told no! There is no compassion, empathy, sympathy from Car Town Kia employees. Only to find out that my husband figured it out without a diagnostic machine. It turned out to be a $60 fix. They couldn't have afforded the High pressure fuel pump. This dealership needs to learn customer service skills and eat their errors. I do not recommend buying a vehicle new or used from this dealership. Helped friends in need unlike the money hungry Car Town Kia.

This is the worst place ever!!! I went to have my 2015 Kia Optima service for a faulty AC. The AC went completely out after only a year and a half. I called to make an appointment. When I got there they did not have my appointment and they said they could work us in. After waiting an hour and half, they came back and told us we had to make an appointment. We returned for them to tell us they had to order the parts. We paid for the parts for a secondary problem (driver's side mirror) and scheduled a 3rd appointment. On that visit they fixed the mirror and sent us home. They did not tell us they didn't fix the AC. We had to turn around and then they told us they ordered the wrong part for the AC. We asked for a loan because it very hot and was denied by the GM because our part was covered under warranty. After going back a 4th time our AC is not working. They said they fixed it but it only works on high and when the car is in motion. We had to schedule an appointment with the Kia dealership in Columbia, SC. This service is horrible. I'd rather eat at a Waffle House with a D rating before I ever come back here again!! We completed a survey after our second visit and gave them a poor rating. When we arrived that's all they talked about how they lost their bonus because of it. Surveys should be anonymous and if not, shouldn't you work hard to correct the problem instead of making it worst. They deactivated my second survey so I decided to post everywhere online I could because people should be warned of their horrible service. I would prefer to give less than a 1 star.

Service Dept SUCKS!!! On May 10, 2017 I went in for a routine oil change... Service person (Older short white guy with gray hair that sits at front) comes & tell me my oil drain plug is stripped & I either need a new one or replace the whole oil pan. He said the oil plug would be $25 & every time I get an oil change I'd have to replace it. He said they didn't have it but was going to get it from auto zone... Called auto zone and they said the kia man just left and the part was only $5.99!!! Went to speak to the guy in charge of parts (Tall white skinny guy with grey hair & raspy voice) to see why they were over charging me. He was very RUDE & nonchalant and acted like he didn't know wat was going on. After arguing back n fourth they charged me $12 for the part. I had things to do so i paid and requested to speak to a supervisor (Kelly the GM was out of town) so I spoke with Tracey. As I'm explaining to her what was going on the tall white older guy w/grey hair from parts comes over to me & threw the box that my part came in at me & said "here take it to auto zone yourself & find out how much it was"... At this point I was fuming because he disrespected me and threw something at me like I was a dog. Meanwhile, the manager is standing there the whole time she told me to stay calm and she'd call me... About 3 mins later she called me and apologized and nobody should be treated this way... Needless to say My entire service was credited back to my account... They will NEVER get my service again... I felt so discriminated against bc i was a woman, and a black woman at that...

So I buy a nice vehicle from what I can tell, a 2017 nissan armada....3 days after buying this vehicle, the front headlight is getting water inside and caused my headlight to short out. After going back and forth they claim the miles I put on the car caused this issue. Well when I get my insurance adjuster to come look at the water damage so I could get it fixed, bc Kia wasn't going to cover this, I found out the vehicle has been wrecked. None of this was in the discloser forms nor when I asked about the vehicles history was this brought up. As a matter of fact when I went in the store and confronted these crooks I was told to leave . so instead of fixing there mistake, and owning up to the car fraud in my opinion.....they say its my fault. I don't think so. LAWYER UP FELLAS BECAUSE I WILL SEE YOU IN COURT. These people are crooks, and don't care about the customer, and obviously will sell wrecked vehicles and not tell you and blame your miles on the problem. Way to go Car town Kia!!!!!

As always they treat you like family and they are very professional in their work. They let you know exactly what they are going to do and their customer lounge is awesome. I enjoy going there. Everyone is so friendly and happy and enjoy their jobs.

The worst Kia dealership I have EVER been to! They lied about doing the mileage reimbursement that I've done at any other Kia dealership. They lied about being unable to do work on my touch screen panel because they thought it had work done in the past 12 months, but the only thing done was automatic updates. They refused to honor a coupon on their own website that was sneakily done to expire on a day they aren't even open! Manager was clueless and refused to fix any of these wrongs. I even wonder if they REALLY changed the oil. These people are liars and not to be trusted. If my Kia had something wrong and this was the only Kia dealership in a 300 mile radius I'd STILL go away from them. Galeana Kia in Columbia has been the best one around.

Service department is very slow. They have had our car for a month and a half so I call and the man told me it would be ready on Wednesday . We drive 45 minutes and we get there to find out its not ready. So he says " I'm sorry but we will have it ready by Friday." It's Saturday now and they just told me it will be ready Monday. Do not take your car to Car town kia of Florence if you need work done on it unless you want them to keep it for a couple months. If I could only give them a half a star I would give them less.
