At first they said no money down then they went up in increments until it reached 2000 down! Knowing I wanted 0 down as they advertise they still kept my family there for 4 hours with no results! A lemon is a car that has been in an accident and suffered direct frontal damage to one side at a higher speed causing it to become twisted or the frame shifting out of place. After this happens the vehicle may be cosmetically repaired, however in most cases the frame does not or cannot be straightened but it may be temporarily aligned for resale only to go out of alignment after a short time. When a car suffers subtle structural damage such as this it can no longer drive straight and the tires become worn on one side more quickly and because it does not drive straight, it constantly pushes against itself and the engine pushes itself up wearing down the drivetrain at a higher rate. In addition, it puts pressure on the engine and cooling system and eventually the head gasket goes. Dealers may or not be aware of this when they purchase vehicles as they may have been aligned at the collision center prior to dealer purchase. These cars are considered “lemons” because, like a lemon that wobbles rolling down a hill the car engine wobbles the same way after it has been worn down by an imbalanced frame. A wobbly engine is often misinterpreted as an improperly balanced wheel. When a car is involved in an accident where it suffers direct front side damage i.e hitting a parked car, at elevated speed it should be considered totaled because it will never align properly again.

You would be better off going to JD Byrider at least there they won't play game with you. They will actually finance you at what you can afford. So here at Prestige auto it truly is buyer beware!!!!

But after working with Arnie H and Jerry, and both of those guys getting not 1 but 2 cars for me and my wife ,in which we both have challenged credit. Had a few major issues when purchase my vehicle. Rims had scratches i was told they could repair. When i picked up vehicle the rims were a total different color originally it was Chrome they painted it gray I was very disappointed and it took a month to get that all straightened out and I still have gray rims. If I was told they could not fix the rims then that would have been a different story.

Hi, I'm giving one star because their is no option for no stars. I bought a Ford Escape from Prestige Auto in East Providence less than two years ago. The car I believe was sold with a problem with the rear axle. Not long after I bought the car it had to go in for the problem with the rear axle. Then months after again. The problem persisted and I called to have them take a look they couldn't take it right away. I made an appointment and before my appointment date the car broke down. I called and explained the situation but was told by service that I could have it towed to them but they wouldn't be looking at the vehicle till my appointment date a week away. Just to look at it. I called back spoke to the manager still no help or concern. They couldn't care less that their mistake left a customer stranded. I finally had to have the vehicle towed to Tasca just to hear my warranty is now expired and nothing will be covered. It will be just under 2,000. I pray that just one person reads my review and gets saved from Prestige Auto. Its my first car buying experience and its been truly awful. Prestige Auto and their employees want you to sign and become someone else's problem. Sincerely Denise

Had a great experience at this location today! Richard and Lenny are very nice and helpful! They went above and beyond to help us get into a car we were comfortable with! Update: Richard is very nice and a good sales man no problem at all with him! - now finance is completely awful! They make you initial a bunch of paperwork without informing you that they slate sneaking in an extended warranty that’s going to cost you almost $50 extra a month! My plates expired on 3-19 it’s now 3-28 I called them to see if they were in yet and they said yes( not a phone call nothing ) now to top it off they also tel me I owe almost $200 in registration fees after I was told multiple times that I wouldn’t owe anything when my plates came in by the finance manager. Now not only are my payments higher a month but now I have to come up an extra $200. Oh and I put in a referral aver a month ago still haven’t heard anything about that! Seriously wish I could get my money back and go else where never again will I buy from this place!

Worst experience ever with a dealership. Signed papers and bought truck to wait 8 days to finally be delivered. Was given a 20 day temp plate to have that expire and another month go by before they even started the registration process...then when they found that i owed back taxes it was suddenly my fault that it hqd not been registered yet! Then when they finally did get my plate...noone notified me at all and they made up a 60 dollar charge from dmv that i had to pay to get my plates...assuring me they would provide a receipt frm the dmv, i paid but low and behold no charge from dmv was ever accrued. And to make matters worse the truck has had major brake and wheel bearing issues since the beginning which i fixed myself as i assume they would probably give me the run around on that as well. Unprofessional all around and 1 star is 1 too many

Had a rotten experience buying my car from Prestige Mitsubishi. Poor communication with the dealership throughout the buying process. Poor communication led to the dealership incorrectly answering questions I asked pre-purchase. The dealer ultimately screwed up my registration. Took an unnecessary amount of time to complete the entire process. Since I found my car on Autotrader Prestige was simply a middle man in the process, and I have absolutely nothing to thank Prestige for except wasting my time.

Recently went in with high hopes because of their radio advertisements and was quickly disappointed throughout my visit. They had beautiful cars with low mileage. What they had in stock was DEFINITELY not the issue. According to their advertisements, they approve everyone and require "zero down", which is a lie. They soon asked me for a 30% down payment, which completely through me off.. Talk about false advertisement. The employee who helped me was very polite but left me in the lot waiting for more than 5 to 10 minutes about 3 times. Was looking forward to doing my business with an "honest" dealership, but quickly realized that what they say is very different than what they advertise.

What a difference at Prestige! The Salesman that helped my family and I was Ruben Antelo. Fantastic job on his end. He was able to get me into a beautiful 2019 Mitsubishi that I can drive off with Tuesday. I would highly recommend Prestige and Ruben to my friends and family next time there looking for a vehicle.

I went to Prestige because I read a lot of good reviews but am disappointed I had a bad experience. I went in to test drive a car I saw online. The car drove fine but it felt too small and wanted info on other options. The Salesman kept insisting I try and see if I qualified for a loan based on that specific car. He was pretty pushy so I said okay and he said I had to put a down payment of $500. After about an hour he told me that I did not qualify based on my credit history and needed to try again with a car that was more expensive. That seem backwards to me but he was very confident I would be approved. He then showed me two other cars, one I only got to sit inside (not drive) and the other he only brought me up to the car and had me peer in through the window. Both cars were Nissan which I wasn't interest in but the Salesman was very pushy and insisted I needed to keep trying until I got approved. I went home feeling very uneasy. In the morning I called to get an update and he told me I was denied for both cars but if I brought $2000 more I could get the first car I saw and dismissed the fact I had told him the day before I had ZERO interest in that car. I no longer felt comfortable purchasing from them and asked for a refund. I had paid with my card and received my refund in 5 days.... Being a young female I felt very discouraged about buying a car on my own. But two weeks later I went to a different dealer and was told my credit was okay. I was able to get a really good monthly payment and drove off in a car that same day.... So I suggest approaching this place with caution.

Mr. Gomes was great! We purchased a 2009 Subaru Forrester today. In the snow! Our old jeep was in bad shape but still mechanically sound. I would recommend these guys for a dealer even if you are a first time buyer or have bad credit!! I will send my friends & family there.... Now 6 months later, 1 rack & pinion replacement & now the issue with my transmission. .. I'm pretty disgusted! Even with the extended warranty we purchased... We now have to purchase a whole new transmission. This could have been prevented if they had done a through inspection. Especially where the car is a 5 speed manual. So as it stands I'm not gonna send anybody there unless the take an independent mechanic with them to o over the car!!!

Brakes not working they said they changed rotors they did not they just cleaned rust. too many missing parts they said they will ship it to my address they did not... I got registration after 3 weeks . They sold me 2 year extended warranty with car company sent me letter they did not approve warranty because ineligible vehicle. Horrible. I sent them my friends to buy cars thank god they did not. Horrible .. So update: they still did not call me back they probably see this review I received missing parts for my car after 2 months... I called them several times for the extended warranty they fixed it but I did not get call from them. Dont get extended warranty from them just google it you will find alot of them better and cheaper. Their extended warranty company is aul and they have no idea whats going on in the world..

I want to first say that I went here with an open mind, and good intentions. My wife and I went here a couple of Saturday's ago to look at some cars. After test driving a couple, we picked out the one we liked. We left a small deposit to hold the car and we were returning after work on Tuesday to finish paperwork. When we arrived on Tuesday, our salesman had a different car running at the front door. He told us, that we didn't qualify for the original car, that we should try this one.Mind you, it was also $85 more per month. No phone call, no contact, no original car on the lot. Well needless to say I wasn't very happy. When I started to leave, his sales manager began to scramble, and kept bringing different cars up front for me to try. He tried everything for us to buy that evening. Even offered to let us take a dealer car home for the night. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Bait and switch, call it what you want. This place was by far the worst car buying experience that I have ever had. STAY AWAY!!! If I could give a 0, I would. A few days later, I went to get my deposit back, and they were still trying to get me to buy. $5000 more money than originally discussed. Lesson learned

We took it for a drive and although it was an excellent car and deal it just was not for me. I explained I drive a suv and just don’t feel comfortable in a car. Matthew Strong is a patient and professional sales person and we are happy with our 2014 Mercedez Benz GLK 250 and the price we paid. I found the car on Autoblog and cross checked the Prestige Auto Mart II website to verify the car was still available because I live almost a hour from East Providence. We drove the car and liked it but wanted to get it check out by a mechanic. Matthew was able to arrange that with the sales manager and to make a long story short we bought the car and love it. Matthew also took care of the registration and got us a second key fob at dealer cost. My only caution is that the list price on the Prestige Auto Mart II website had an * (asterisk) by it and in small print at the bottom of the listing was: “*All Prices and payments include $3000 cash…” In other words the actual price is the list price plus $3000. That seemed shady and would have been a deal breaker for us but Matthew was able to get the Prestige management to sell to us at the list price.

I stopped in randomly to look at a vehicle that I saw while driving by. A very nice gentlemen by the name of Cory came out to help me. He answered a number of questions and took me inside to get some additional information for me. Inside the show room was a very nice 2011 BMW X3. I asked him to get some information on that suv as well. Cory was great. I asked them give to me an idea on a trade in for my current car. The "manager" took my car for a drive and took my registration as well. Cory told me it would just be a moment because the "manager" was putting my info into the computer and checking NADA to get a value. He asked me while I was doing that if I wanted to be as accurate as possible and did I want to go ahead and fill out the paperwork for a credit check. I told him that I was ready to do that until I knew what I would be getting as a trade on my own vehicle and after I could get an insurance quote. Cory went back to his manager and came back saying that the manager didn't want to give me a "guess" on my trade in because he didn't want to be wrong. They wouldn't even give me a trade in value because I was unwilling to sign a credit application. It was immensely unprofessional and I think it may also be illegal. I won't be stepping foot on this lot, or either of the other two lots owned by this company. I don't recommend anyone else wasting their time either.

Honestly, you'd be better off buying a car elsewhere. They'll say whatever is necessary to sell the vehicle and then to get you to buy a worthless"warranty"!

Horrible place to buy a car, 24 hours after I bought my truck the engine light came on and was driving horribly. I called right away they said they would pick it up and bring me a rental so I can get my kids. They showed up with no rental. Arney had no idea what was going on. He took my truck saying it would be back in time for my kids. Called at 2 o'clock and said they would be here at 3:15. At 4pm still had not showed up. Leaving my kids waiting over an hour at school for me to find someone to pick them up. Didn't show up until after 5pm. Horrible service! Very disrespectful! So I walk in today with cash and a potential trade. I have bad credit and I was interested in a few cars that are marked in the $10,000 range advertised on their website for that amount. The sales person says that its 30% down for the guarantee financing, which I am ok with. He then tells me that the prices on the website are with a $3000 down already and the cars are actually going to be closer to $14,000. So you are telling me a car that is worth about $8,000-9,000 that is listed for almost $11,000 really cost $14,000 and you want to charge me 18% apr on top of that? He also didn't know how much any of the vehicles cost and there were no prices on any of them. No transparency and seems kind of like a scam. Don't trust a dealership with no prices on the cars, they are looking to fleece you in every way possible.
