Best dealership and car buying experience we have ever experienced. Reggie Hooks is the best salesman that we have ever dealt with. He's got a great sense of humor and truly knows his product. Abe in finance was just as easy going and easy to work with. We had told them the price range we wanted to stay in payment wise and they were able to make it happen. They were able to get us financed when a lot of other dealers wouldn't put forth the effort. They were also able to get us out the door in under 3 hours. There's nothing worse than spending an entire afternoon at a car dealership. I loved that we didn't have to waste an entire day there. We will be a Hyundai owner for life now and will buy our next car from AutoMax as well.

By far the worst car buying experience I’ve had. Set up an appointment a week in advance. Was greeted by an individual that did not set up my appointment therefore we walked around for 15 minutes looking for the car before we finally found it in the back where the “unserviced” vehicles are located. His knowledge on the car was slim to none. The car had not been cleaned not even in the slightest and the back end was tore up which was NOT pictured in the photos online, neither was the interior. We asked to speak with the manager and the managers attitude on the situation was very uninterested. He didn’t even know what car we were referring to, and told us that the car I was looking at had just came on the lot two days ago even though I set up my appointment an entire week ago. We expressed our concerns and lack of acknowledgement for the time we had wasted and all he had to say was “for a car this price (which happened to be listed for $8,000) we don’t take our time to service or clean them.”

Okay Okay I know what you're thinking... Is this a real review... YES, yes it is! When I went to AutoMax I knew the exact car I wanted, just for test driving it I was able to get a $50 Visa Debit Card. YES that is also real! I have NEVER had such a wonderful experience with a dealership but AutoMax will forever have my business! Immediately there were many individuals ( Reggie, Cody, Isiah, DJ Khalid(lol) Abe etc) who truly had my best interest at heart. They were able to lower my APR by 8%!! They were able to get me into a brand new car and lets talk about how quick it all went down. Normally you're in a dealership for hours and hours just trying to finagle with financing on a good APR and with a company that's worth a darn. 2 hours total from the time I walked in with my trade to the time I walked out. I was floored! Reggie if I could leave you a 10/10 review YOU would get a 12/10! Thank you for going the extra mile to make sure I left with a big smile! THE DEALS ARE ALWAYS BETTER AT AUTOMAX!

Salesman was fine management was terrible the advertised automobile for a certain price on their Internet site and I Called they said yes come you can purchase it for the price listed on the website I took the exact figure cash with me and they would not sell it to me for the advertsed price... I asked why and they said I did not meet the criteria. .what the hell does that mean I had cash.i would not recommend them because the lied to me the customer before I even walked through the door. Went in for oil change. Price was exactly where I expected it to be. Didn't come over out with a list of a million different filters I needed changed, they told me they were all good so now I know when they tell me to change filters I need to do it. Did enough of an inspection to let me know I did need an alignment which sounds about right at 22k miles (one tire was off, why is it always one tire LOL). Spoke with Wade he seems like a nice guy. I would recommend them for servicing.

The people at AutoMax are incredibly nice and accommodating. I never felt "stalked" like I have at many dealerships, and I didn't have to go through the fake "let me talk to my manager about a deal" thing. The people here were respectful, didn't undermine my position as the buyer (as many did, like talking over my head to my fiance even though I was clearly the one wanting/purchasing the car). I've also had service done at this location and the guys were very prompt and straight forward with the time frame, which I respect. There's a nice customer lounge to wait in, as well, with popcorn and waters. It's a nice dealership with thoughtful people!

Update: I had to raise this to a 3 star because when I asked speak to highest boss there at the time I got Sonny the general sales manager and he went above and beyond to fix the problem! Thanks Sonny! If you can avoid this place you absolutely should!! This is our first time buying from this dealership and I'm far from impressed! Our original sales guy was great. But then we got switched to a new salesman and once we realized that the left side steering wheel controls weren't working, he said bring it in tomorrow and they would fix it. Should be simple.. haha yeah right.. not with this place. I bring it back, same guy tells me to pull it in but then realizes we have a warranty but it doesnt kick in for a couple of days so now we need to wait till it kicks in to get the car fixed. Haha. Why so warranty can pay for it instead of Automax being responsible and taking care of what they should have already done!! What a joke!! Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a dealership! But then again, the car is already sold... they dont have to be nice anymore!! Last time I ever spend a time here!!

I'd give them a negative 5 if I could, it was the worst experience I have ever had. first off they had me come up there to look at a car that they said that they would have out ready to show me and when I arrived they brought me inside and I found out they sold the car. The sales person that I talked to and was dealing with wasn't even there and she had me come up. when I found out that they had sold the car another salesman came over and tried to sell me a car and he was very rude would not let me talk trying to run over me with his words all he did was upset me and never want to go to a dealership again. And my wife was wanting to look at new cars but that salesman that basically ran us off, we made a decision to leave and we was gone we ain't never looking back.

I had been looking for a new car for weeks, and had such horrible experiences at other dealerships so I wasn’t too excited to go to another one, but Angel, and Lillian made everything so easy for me. They actually listened when I told them what my budget was and didn’t try to pressure me into something I couldn’t afford like other dealerships had done. Even though I had no credit they were still able to put me in a car that I liked and that I could afford. Even the finance guy I was working with had great customer service skills. The finance departments at other dealerships have been condescending to me because I’m not wealthy, and didn’t even try to find a lender to take my loan because I had no credit. Here the financing was smooth and easy. I was in and out of the dealership in about and hour and they even let me bring the car back the next day for an oil change, alignment, and detail, all for free. They’ll definitely get my business when I buy my next car. 10/10

I set out to buy a car and i did but not here. As i was out test driving which internet said come test drive get $50.00 Gift card.. Ok that didn't happen!!!. Also when i left my teenage grandkids because they were asked to stay while i test drove car. The receptionist was very rude to them ages. 2 @13 yrs and 18. Very good kids anyway. I didntt get the car couldn't work the deal. Was there 3 hours blah. Drove to Nission dealership 3 blocks away bought a car with more options and a way better price. No gimmicks to get me in there ... So dont expect internet prices to do you any good you wont qualify for much if any rebates... Im just really happy i moved on. Thanks for reading

I went to the Edmond location and the Norman location first. Both of them were not willing to work with me and seemed like they were trying to take advantage of the fact that I was a younger woman. The service dept is a joke! They will not give a reasonable explanation for car issues. Honestly a waste of time to take your vehicle to this place. The service manager on duty was completely incompetent. Car is obviously having issues but giving no warning lights. “It will be very difficult to find an issue with no warning lights” is what he said. Aren’t you a mechanic? Do your job and check the things that could be causing my car to die randomly. I have other options to take my vehicle to for repairs and will be pursuing those in the future.

I wrote a review 6 months ago when I was getting little to no help fixing the issue. I now have a working title but here is my story. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM I bought a car back in Aug of 2017 from them. It took me almost 2 years to get a title that I could register my car with (June of 2019). So I was stuck with a car I couldnt legally drive, couldnt sell and couldnt return for 2 years! I tried working with them to get it resolved and get a working title and got very little help and NO compensation for it. I tried exchanging the car for a car that had a working title, they said no. I tried asking for financial compensation and they simple said they were legally covered and werent going to help. I would avoid them like the plague!

I went with a friend to help them buy a used "as-is" car from this dealer. The first nitpick is that the salesman and technicians seemed more concerned with clearing error codes than diagnosing issues and at least providing insights on repair options elsewhere. Whatever. They were non critical faults when i looked them up and the service department did some due diligence to make sure the car was well inspected and otherwise functional. The real issue is that after asking *twice* for the home address of the owner they instead had the title mailed to Colorado because that was the address on the check. An otherwise straightforward and bearable sales/haggling experience has been utterly soured by a simple mixup in shipping that is causing the owner a great amount of stress. But by all means, if someone from AutoMax thinks they can solve this situation let me know. I'll gladly amend this review if somehow their customer service can promptly reissue the title or somehow recover the one that is lost somewhere between here and Colorado. Overall the sales people were personable, the owner has a loud personality but not in an overly difficult way, and everyone *appears* to know how to do their job in financing (the car was bought outright though, no financing was set up). The fact is that one presumptuous address choice has ruined this car buying experience. As a side note, if it is for some reason immutible policy to ship titles to the address listed on the check used in purchase. Perhaps some warning or alternative options should be presented to prevent such undue issues in the future. Update: the title has been received so alltogether this was a great deal of stress, extra postage being paid, and time wasted (the temp plates have expired already) because the dealership made a horribly incorrect call on where to send the title.

1 week after COMPLETED paperwork, the dealership didn't have my vehicle they sold me. I was originally told that it would be there the next day, after my drive from Shawnee, I was told they would call me when it comes in. 6 days after the purchase, I'm finally called by the GM and told the dealership they intended to trade with backed out and they're looking for another vehicle. I gave them one more day and the option to make me an offer I couldn't refuse on another vehicle, and I wouldn't buy from Bob Howard- they said they could not. I purchased a 2019 Santa Fe the same day from Bob Howard, who was more than happy to earn my business. I gave two stars instead of one, because the salesman was nice.

I purchased a used car here. Got a recall fixed on it and the day after I got it back, it broke. However, it's what happened afterwards that makes me 4 star this place. They were able to talk to the manufacturer and find a way to fix my car. This was unexpected. I was outside of the standard warranty and they very much could have said they weren't going to be able to do anything. But, they fought for me and are fixing it as we speak. As of right now, I would make my next car purchase here.

With our credit we were dreading going to a dealership, as we knew we would get a lemon so to speak. Lilian was our cars sales lady that I was speaking with over the phone, she was kind, understanding and did NOT try to push any sales on us. I had given my information to the dealership to see what we could get. It turns out we got really lucky!! We were approved for a 2018 vehicle. Lilian let us test drive any car we wanted, she answered all the questions, was extremely nice and helped us understand everything we were concerned with. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! Or at least don't deal with Reggie. He lied straight to my face and told me the car was driven by dealership only. They included the Carfax in my closing paperwork and it was a repossession. Told me the car had never been smoked in, but I looked up the former owner on Facebook and there she is... cigarette in hand. He tried to sell me a manual car at first and I just said no, I don't want a manual. He laughed and said "oh, you can't drive a manual?! we can teach you". No, I can drive a manual, I'm not buying a manual, there's a difference. When asked for my phone number he automatically cuts me off and tries to start off with Saying "405" area code, which had he paid attention and listened, he would have known I was from out of town and do not have the same area code. I actually found the car on Carfax, get to the dealership, and they have a different price listed, said they can't honor the Carfax price, yet messaged me through the Carfax website and included the Carfax paperwork. I had been talking with another salesperson the week before, as I was coming in from out of town, I honestly think they raised the price of the car bc they knew I was interested and coming in to look at it. LOL what a scam. I should have got up and left, but instead I stayed through 3 hours of hackling and ended up with the car but paying too much for it. Window tint and car mats are on buyer here. They had some cheap, black rubber Automax mats in there that Reggie thought were great. He also said they don't tint windows there. He acted like I was taking his right arm when I said he needed to fill up the tank. Did I mention they threw in a free oil change and fill up? LOL again, I am from out of town so I would be driving 100 miles for it. Go to tag it and low and behold, since it was a repossession, AutoMax should have renewed the tags in September when they got the car and when they were due; since they did not do that, Guess who gets to pay the penalty for that?! Yup, I do. After all that has gone on, I call them to talk to a manager to let them know about everything that has transpired, AND low and behold, there is not a single manager available to take my call and I am still waiting on that return phone call. Great car, HORRIBLE SALESPERSON, HORRIBLE DEALERSHIP. Bad customer service. I mean really, can't even call me back?! Go to another Hyundai Dealer, there are plenty of them around.

Quite a lousy customer experience so far! A week after the purchase, I am still waiting on them to fulfill their obligation to send the second key and documents after it goes through their Service department. A couple of other things: 1. Trying to contact their Finance department to figure out how I can set payments has not helped. Nobody has got back yet. It is as if they want me to miss a payment and then charge me for it. 2. They didn't provide the carpets for the driver and passenger at the time of sale and on reminding Khaled, my "friendly" salesperson, I've been asked to travel 200 miles back to get it. 3. The links on automated email asking for feedback doesn't work. 4. The "friendly" customer care reps are trained to lie straight up on trying to get to someone who can help - The person I talked to has left for the day, his manager is with a customer in less than a second of asking and to ask for their manager means putting one on hold. We travel to this location after work and they would not honor the internet price. So we ended up walking, since they are misrepresenting their prices and advertised offers. Went up there to see a specific vehicle that was rold was there and when i arived at the dealership i was told the vehicle was not there anymore and that it had been gone all day although i called 30 minutes before i arrived, veing told that the car was there and then they were very persistant on trying to get me to get into a much higher priced vehicle that i couldn't afford. Along with being persistant on after i told them my price range to tell me that they had something that was 2-3 thousand dollars out of my price range. I will not go here again.

My wife and I bought a new 2019 Sonata in January from AutoMax Del City. Having never owned a Hyundai before, I wanted to wait for while, so when I gave my review, it would be more accurate with having a few months of 'drive-time' under my belt. Long story short: Super happy. Even after some months of driving, still cannot believe the unbelievably high quality and superb ride that this car has, it is truly incredible. We took a trip to Dallas to see some friends, and drove there AND back on LESS then ONE tank of gas. The ride was perfect, even up to top speeds. Plus, with all the incremental safety items that the Sonata has, made the trip much less stressful. I will have to agree with all the You-tube videos, that one is very hard pressed indeed to pick ANYTHING apart on this car. All the guys at Hyundai Del City, were absolutely fantastic as well. I have already done a huge amount of research for some time, and we knew going in that the Sonata was what we wanted. We originally went in to buy a late model Sonata, but when we saw look of the 2019 (and color,) we changed our minds. The guys worked VERY hard to get us not just approved, but more importantly, approved with a very low interest rate and payment length, with a payment that we could afford. Everyone there from "Abe" to Eric, to Sonny and others were extremely polite, professional, and truly helpful and friendly. I will not say to not 'shop around' when you are car buying; but I WILL say make very, very sure that you DO at least go by to the AutoMax/Del City dealership, shake some hands, and see what they can do for you. The service department is always clean, does their best to be fast and they will come and update you if you are in the waiting area and it has been a while. They could use better signage than just road markers and the small signs directing people to the service area though. I realize for those who work there or who are familiar, it is no big deal to navigate but for new customers, it is extremely confusing and cars coming to the front of the building often block the roadway for those trying to exit the service area. But overall, the service department has been good to great each time I've visited.

Bought the vehicle a few yrs ago there. During purchasing, I had asked for the carfax, the sales person did not give it to me until we had purchased the vehicle. The vehicle started having problems a week after purchased. I normally take the vehicle somewhere else to have it serviced, however I went back to them because I was having problems with it and thought maybe the warranty would be usable. Took it for rotation problems, thought maybe a rotor, and also an oil changed, all they said was it needed new tires, they did the over priced oil changed. Took it to another mechanic, he changed the rotors and it worked fined. I will never go there again.

I filled out a questionnaire on the Internet through my employer. Because I was on my lunch break I was limited to the initial interview time. I had written down everything except my insurance information. Needless to say I was in and out in 45 minutes with expected delivery for Friday, my day off. I arrived at AutoMax; my new car was parked out front. Washed, fueled and ready. I completed my paperwork with Sales Associate and Fonance and out the door in under 90 minutes. So to say that I purchased a brand new car with 23 miles on it, traded in my old car, credit check, financed, set up maintenance schedule, and was out the door total time to include my online application. I repeatedly replied with my concerns about the deal and be at the price and she replied with, "ABSOLUTELY!" After calling Brooke out, she then replies with, " I was not aware that you were upside down" although I gave her all of my information. My 88 year old dad purchased a 2019 Elantra in Feb. This was the 5th car he has purchased from them. This car replaced a car totaled in an accident. I wanted to go with him because, he can be easily confused. He assured me he completely trusted this business. After he purchased the car, I asked about his deal. He assured me he received a good deal, but the numbers he provided me didn't add up. I stepped away from further questioning because he was getting upset. Fast forward 4 month later, he called upset because his free 5k mile oil change cost $123. The dealership would not honor his free oil change coupons. I went over to his house and reviewed both the 5K mile service receipts and his sales deal. It appears on the sales invoice they charged him $1.6K over MSRP + Freight. Additionally, they financed him with Hyundai at 6% even though he qualified for a much lower rate. He purchased an extended 100K vehicle warranty. I went to the dealership with all of the paperwork. I met with the Service and Sales managers. The Service manager said, "He was charged for the Oil Change, because of the "Engine for Life" program. This warranty is for customers who keep their cars for over 100K miles. I reminded him my dad was 88, and probably wouldn't need this program. Additionally, I reminded him Hyundai already has a 100K engine warranty and my Dad purchased an extended warranty as well. He explained he was charged $55 to change the cabin air filter, because it was dirty. That's hard for me to believe it needed changing since he has only had the car for ~4 months, doesn't drive on dirt roads. I lived in the Arizona desert and seldom needed to change my cabin filters more than a year at a time. The Service manager told me to tell my dad in the future to decline the Engine for Life service. I reviewed the deal they gave my Dad with the Sales manager who appeared to be sympathetic. He said that all cars have an addendum which could be why the car was priced over MSRP. Note, no where in the sales contract that mentions an addendum. He said he would talk to his boss about the deal since my dad was a Veteran and Repeat customer. He said he would call me back. After over a week with no follow-up, I went back to the dealership. I spoke with the Finance manager, and asked why would they finance him for twice the interest rate that my Dad would qualify for. He said, he explained to my Dad that he would get a $500 rebate check by going with the higher rate. I informed him that even with the rebate check over the life of the loan it would cost him over $1k in additional interest charges. He just shrugged his shoulders and said most people will take the check and then refinance at a lower rate. By the way my Dad received the $500 rebate check, and called me because he didn't know why he received it. The Sales manager I spoke with the week prior wasn't in, but was scheduled to work that afternoon. I called and spoke with him and he said he hadn't received a reply from his boss and would call me back. Never happened. We are trying to cancel the extended warranty, but suspect this will not go smoothly. I realize I have no recourse on the deal, and all businesses are entitled to make a profit, but I just want to make people aware to be careful when dealing with this dealership. I think it's a sad day they way they choose to take advantage of a Senior citizen, former Loyal customer and Veteran. PS: If you go to the dealers website it says Free two year complimentary service and Engine for Life program.

This was my fourth car purchase from this dealership. Each deal was a good experience. I did not feel railroaded into purchasing, they listened to what I wanted and found ways to meet my needs. While I did not purchase a brand new vehicle this time which was my option at first they were able to sell me a used low mileage vehicle which had what I initially wanted and more at a great price. This was all in July. Unfortunately, today I am disappointed not with Sales but with the Service Dept. We took one of our other Hyundai vehicles in for servicing on Thursday and picked it up today. While we were informed of the charge we were not communicated as to what all entailed. It needed a shock changed in the back. We were led to believe both would be changed but that is not what happened and the price we were charged you would have thought both were being changed. A conversation was had after payment to the Service Manager which was initiated by the cashier not our choice because we knew nothing would change the outcome. The conversation happened as we thought. She was immediately on the defense and not wanting to hear of our confusion with the service. I will now look to the other Hyundai dealerships to have the recommended service to the newly purchased vehicle which is disheartening because the Del City Sales team has always been great for me.

They wanted me to buy the complete package. $175.00 + $400 in labor!!! They are not trying to advantage of the customer! He told her that he lost her verification code and needed it again. To say the least my mom told him no. That was not right that it was not her fault that he lost the code.
