Every time I bring one of my two vehicles here, everyone is so friendly and helpful! I’ve had experiences with 3 different service advisors and they are all so kind, patient, and thorough. They always share a video inspection of the underside of your vehicle. The service technician introduces himself and is very thorough in explaining exactly what you are looking at. A very nice touch so you can see what they are talking about and you don’t have to wonder whether a repair really needs to be made. They are great about explaining any service work that needs to be done or if there is anything they find that might need repair/replacement in the future. They offer shuttle service, always greet you with a smile and you are given a detailed print out of the services performed, the inspection of your vehicle and any suggestions or repairs that are needed. I enjoy bringing my cars in for service at Valley Imports, they make the experience pleasant and easy! Customer service is always top notch!!

Beyond belief - GREAT! Only 4 degrees on 1/17/17 as we were passing thought (nothing for Fargo..) but our 2012 MB Sprinter wouldn't start that morning. Had it towed to Valley. They took it right in (on a busy morning), checked out the battery and fuses and a few other things. Three guys looking it over. After 20 minutes: problem solved (the starter was frozen from driving in winter fog the night before. Started right up. They noted the coolant was a tad low - topped that off. And the bill for their work? I don't want to say because if they did what they did for us for everyone at what the charged us (or, really, what they didn't charge us), they would be out of business in a matter of days :). MB repair shops are few and far between. I would travel many hundreds of miles to have our sprinter serviced right here. Can't say enough good about this place.

I purchased a new VW Jetta from here a few weeks ago. They didnt have a vehicle with the options that I wanted but was able to locate a vehicle that did have the options I wanted. It was transported to the dealer where I finished the deal. The process was fairly quick and easy. I would say it took me about 2 hours. Overall I'd recommend this dealership and VW so far. Update: Long story stort, Non-existent support after the sale.

I have been getting my 2014 Lancer Evolution serviced by them since I purchased it on April 6th, 2014. I requested that all the oils/fluids be changed as I was nearly upon my 5-year anniversary of owning the car. I had my Lancer Evo for 5 years with zero mechanical issues. I would go 3 hours out of my way to take it to them on a semiannual schedule for routine maintenance. Yet, after asking them to perform maintenance that is a little more involved, my car dies 3 miles down the road from the dealership. Multiple phone calls, emails and 2 months later; I finally had my car back. My entire experience with Valley Imports has been a nonstop headache from start to finish. It’s near impossible to get anybody to answer the phone in service as it will ring until I lose patience and hang up. The communication is next to zero and gives the impression that they honestly do not care about my plight because I am just the guy who has a car that is no longer produced. Not only that but the fact that they refused to entertain the possibility that a mistake was made and further decided to insult me by implying it was my fault for abusing my vehicle and performing unnecessary preventative maintenance. I don’t ask for much. I just ask that responsibility is taken and that communication is maintained. Neither of those happened. Luckily I still had a warranty otherwise I would have to figure out how to foot the bill. I don't know what happened. Prior to 2019 they were very good to me and I never had any issues with communication. I hope that this was an aberration and and nobody else has the experience I did. My recommendation is know your vehicle, advocate for yourself and don't request anything beyond a motor oil change. The experience was so disheartening that I sold the vehicle shortly after getting it back and jumping to Subaru. 13 years with Mitsubishi ruined by one bad experience.

Levi is super helpful and professional. We made an appointment through their website for oil change service. The appointment was at 4:30pm, which was kind of late for oil change service, but Levi and his folk still tried their best to complete the oil change for me. In addition, aabout a month ago, we were suggested by a small private auto service store that we need to replace the break parts ASAP and they tried to persuade us to do it in their store. However, after Levi and his folk's careful and professonal examination, they concluded that my break parts can stand at least 8 more months, which saves us a lot of money for now. We will come back to Valley Import for a break parts replacement at the end of this year, and definitely will find Levi for such service. I strongly recommend Levi at Vally Import.

We've brought our Porsche Cayenne for service to Valley Imports on a few occasions and have always been completely blown away by the amazing service and quality of work. We've always worked with Cory to determine what needs to be serviced and he's always been completely honest and has very good communication throughout the entire process. I locked my keys in my car and called into Valley imports. My wallet, any form of ID (passport, passport card, birth certificate) were in my car from a recent trip. I was told from a different dealer I was going to have to pay for an entire new set costing almost $200. Tyler in the parts department was amazing. He asked me to bring in proof of title and any type/form of ID I could. He got me the key code and explained where Kurt’s was to get just a key cut all within an hour and for very cheap. He was so so helpful and kind! 5 stars are for Tyler.

On March 18th; a Saturday, I called over to Valley Imports to request information on a used Audi A4 that I found on their website. I was transferred over to one of their sales team members, Tana, who helped answer my questions about the car. Unfortunately for me, I live up in Minnesota, so the drive itself was almost 250 miles away. Even so, I was so eager to see the car that I requested we make plans for that Monday to make the purchase official and voila! That Monday, the car was all mine. A few days down the road I noticed that the right tail light had some burnt out LEDs. Was it a deal breaker? Not in the slightest. Was I sad that my car's bum wasn't fully function? You betcha. I cried to Tana about it and she couldn't have made it easier for me. She told me she would ship out the new tail light to my address at no cost to me. She explained how to get the old tail light out and how to install the new one. We ended our conversation that she would follow up with me in the next few weeks when the shipment is out. I get a call from Tana a few weeks later. "Lee, we're sending a team your way!" Next thing I know, Valley Imports is in Minnesota, at my house, installing a new tail light. As their customer, this was grade A+ customer service. This is my first car and therefore my first car purchase, so I don't have a lot of experience in the car buying/selling world, but I honestly can't think of this process being any easier than with what Tana and Valley Imports has done for me. I came into Valley Imports looking for a vehicle that could handle the ND winter weather better then my current car at the time. When I went in I had a general idea of what car I wanted and that was a Mitsubishi Outlander. The saleswoman, Lisa, was absolutely phenomenal - she went above and beyond. I know a lot of the dealerships have an aggression pressure tactic to get you to buy a vehicle but at Valley Importa that didn’t happen. Lisa took her time knowing about us, what we wanted in our new vehicle, and our price range. At first I wanted just the Outlander but Lisa said it probably wouldn’t be in my price range so she wanted to show us something else and we absolutely fell in love with the Outlander Sport. Again, there was no pushiness, only about what made us (my girlfriend and I) happy. Lisa even took the liberty to explain all the bells and whistles in the car. I also worked with Matt to finalize everything and he wanted to make sure I got the best final price on the vehicle. I just have to say, if you are to pick any dealership pick Valley Imports!

If you value your car or the person who drives it, then DO NOT take it here. They tried to charge my mother-in-law $1,000 to replace a part on her VW that she got replaced at another shop for $600. Not to mention, this is AFTER they charged her over $200 for a diagnostic fee and strung her along for over a month in the hot summer, while it was her a/c that needed to be fixed. Promised her a rental car as well and didn’t have one available. Thankfully she got fed up and left and took her money to a more reputable shop. Don’t let these people hose you.

This is what happens when you go somewhere else after they do not provide honest service. No Mercedes dealers should behave this way. I will be sending a letter to Mercedes headquarters. ***UPDATE 12/13/18 Tried to get a trade-in / cash offer on a Mercedes purchased from Valley Imports. Offer was way below book. I was not looking for a great offer, just fair and the offer was not fair. My local Ford dealer offered more on a cash offer, as did 3 other dealers I called. VERY DISAPPOINTING that they did not want to establish a long term relationship. I will no longer buy from Valley Imports, but rather look online for the best deal, as buying from them had no benefit long term. *** Original Review Buying experience was great, worked with Steve Dargen. Not pushy or trying to rush us. Had good knowledge of the vehicles we were looking at. I did have a hard time reaching a sales person in the Mercedes department that morning to verify what was in-stock. Have not dealt with service, but will see come in every 10k for service. I'm not sure how the service is when buying a car here but I bought a used 2006 volkswagon and it needed a recall fixed. I called and made an appt no problem. The only issue I had was I made a 10 30 appt and still had to wait a long time just to get in. Michelle has the best customer service! Was really impressed since I wasn't paying for any of their services. They found a few minor things wrong with my car but outlined the important ones and than the less important ones. They didn't exaggerate to get my business and they weren't pushy either. Because of that, I'll be giving them some actual business. Michelle was good and my courtesy driver John was friendly. People Beware of this Indefinite SCAM!!!!! Took my car for a check up, immediately after checking the vin#, Brian (service tech) stated that there was a recall on Ignition Spark Plug Coils on my Audi. After the check up and maintenance, when I came to pick up the vehicle the story on Ignition Coils recall changed to "we could not perform the recall due to over 100k miles on the vehicle" Brian stated, "But your coils looked and perform just fine". Here's the part that shocked me... After a few months we ran a Car Fax on this Audi. What we found was beyond our expectations. On the Car Fax record, Valley Imports stated that they HAVE CHANGED THE COILS on our vehicle. Integrity of Valley Imports equals 0. We're going to sue you.

Had a very good experience buying a car here. They were very upfront and competitively priced. Maintenance shop has always been quick and professional. No complaints! The facility is clean with a new remodel recently. Plenty of space. They pull the car in if it is cold and you want to look at it. Sales staff is polite and professional. Maintenance is a bit pricey, but any dealer is. I have not had any issues with them.

I had major warranty work performed on my Mercedes Sprinter`s DEF system. As the repairs dragged out over a weekend due to being unable to get approval from Germany to peform the work I was told I would be reimbursed for a rental car as my home is over 500 miles from Fargo. If correspendence with Germany had not dragged on for 20 hours I would have been able to have my vehicle back on a Friday and would not have had to stay in Fargo the extra weekend. I have asked about this rental car reimbursement at Valley Imports and Mercedes Benz and never get any response. This vehicle has had 4 major warranty repairs in 12,000 miles including both NOx sensors, the accerator pedal, and a check engine light that has been on pretty much all the time for two years in addition to the recently replaced DEF system. I bought the vehicle new in 2016. Mercedes and Valley need to stand behind their vehicles and not leave customers twisting in the wind while they carry on conversations over ten time zones for warranty work to correct major manufacturing defects.

It was great the only thing I had a problem with is the wash bay. They sent my car to wash bay after it got it service and it came back with finger print and stuffed smeared all over the hood. So was a little disappointed with that. Otherwise the service was great.

BEWARE OF FRAUD!!!! This dealer is posing to be an Audi/Porsche/Mercedes/VW dealer, but the service department DOES NOT KNOW anything about these vehicles. I was scammed into paying for something I didn't need and nearly destroyed my car!!! MAJOR IMBECILES AT WORK!!!!! Brought 2010 Audi A4 and asked to check if the oil was overfull due to vehicle slightly smoking, and the way Audi designed - it has no dipstick for average driver to perform this task. When I came in I had to deal with Brian, who I asked to check the oil level. He said that he can not check it with a dip stick, but the oil level is good on the dash info panel. Then, after he lifted the engine cover, he said it was the oil breather valve that needs to be replaced and that will fix the issue. When I came back to pickup my vehicle, Brian stated that he took it out on the freeway and it started stalling on him. After I picked up the vehicle, I could not believe how bad it was smoking like it was on fire, as well as the engine misfiring, spitting fire from exhaust and stalling. I called Brian right away and notified him of what was happening and he stated that "due to bad breather valve that we replaced, most likely there's a lot of oil that needs to get out of breather tubes like intercooler etc.., so you just have to drive it off." I barely made 2 blocks with smoke and fire behind me so bad that I had to find a safe place for this vehicle to park. The spitting fire was so bad that it took off particles and chunks of the catalytic converter. I had to find a company to tow it to the licensed Audi dealer in St.Paul, MN. Sean at that St. Paul location quickly determined it was nearly 4 QUARTS OF OIL OVER FULL. They drained and changed the overfull oil and the vehicle drove off fine. Audi of St. Paul also offered me a 12 month warranty on engine seals just in case they went bad. Called several times to Valley Imports to speak with GM to address this problem and got ignored, finally got Service manager Steve who backed up Brian for any wrong doing. By that time those two have already had a conversation regarding the issue and Brian had LIED about telling me to "drive the oil off" which shows their true colors. They left me with NO choice but to leave this rating. They could have killed the Engine on this Audi due to Valley Import's ignorance and negligence.

The Audi was due for it's regular oil change. This is my commuter car and I put on around 100 miles daily. I usually bring it in for oil changes every 5,000 miles. I schedule my appointments online which is really easy. Customer service is always top notch. Although I bought the car used, Valley Imports sold this car brand new and has done all the regular service on this car since. They have always done a great job for me. The worst auto services experience ever. They are nice people, but services is so dum, no report of their checks to tell what is good what is bad or ugly. They suppose to make the basic inspection points, I am sure, they didn't do it at all, as I know the light bulbs is broken for sure, they just said it is perfect. I called them to send me the check report, the manager promised to send it via my email and she didn't send anything. They inspect one thing for $160 which is appreciated, but , their parts and repairing cost is very pricey.

I went in to purchase a Porsche, it cost roughly around $97,000 which wasn't the issue. I was ready to put down $73,000. When I asked if I could check the inside of the car and possibly test drive it, the salesman replied with "you're not going to buy it, so why would you put miles on it". I felt as if they judged me based off my appearance. So I went to my car, pulled out the cash. The salesman insisted that I take it for a drive. I refused. I went to FFFisher and ended up buying a lexus es350 for 60k. I'm happy with my purchase. Never again will I step foot in that dealerships lot.

Service experience here. Brought one of the recalled '15 TDIs in for its first 10,000 mile service. Took around an hour and a half, and when I returned to pick it up Ashley paused for a moment as she was looking through the paperwork and said "I swear VW covers the first service on these". She checked on it, reprinted the invoice, and I left paying a grand total of $0.00. Now, I'm not sure of many repair places at dealerships that would go out of their way to inform a customer of a way to save themselves money like that. I really really appreciated it, since I was unaware that VW was still offering this. Thank you Ashley!! Based on my experience at least, the people here are great and do very good work.

I am happy but not completely satisfied. I traveled from Minot to drop my car off with the undersatnding it my take 2 days to complete only to find out that the tech does not work on Friday and Sat. There was no loner vehicle available so that left me to scramble to find a ride back to Minot. When i planned to pick my car up i was told the day prior that theier was some other issues and this is after 2 to 3 weeks of my car being there. I caught the train to Fargo and arrived at my car ar 5am. I was happy to see that everything was as planned. But all in all I can't say much else. The service tech kept me informed and the video text was super cool. Maybe if i had bought my car there i would have gotten the 5 star treatment. I stopped into a Porsche dealership to get a washer blade and felt a bit elite, however that was Texas. After reading Valley Imports review i realized i got the dates mixed up and that is what caused my confusion. The guys and gals at valley imports did all they could for me and they did take care of the recalls very quick. As for the engine mounts, well stuff happens beyond our control. I trust that when i drop off the car for that repair it will get done to a high standard.

I walked into Valley Imports admittingly looking kind of confused/lost. Kevin introduced himself with a smile and a question, "Can I help you find something?" Already knowing what vehicle I wanted (2014 Audi Q5), I didn't want to be pushed or haggled, and it was like Kevin could see my defenses were up. What impressed me most was when he said "I normally handle Internet Sales, but let's see what we can find for you". His calm demeanor and polite attitude made it easy for me to relax and be honest. Each time I mentioned what I did and didn't want, he was motivated to look at different options for me. He showed me exactly what he was doing on his computer, made phone calls right in front of me, and explained everything without using confusing terms and jargon. He was never aggressive, and I could tell he wanted me to walk away satisfied (he kept asking me if this was really what I wanted). I would recommend Kevin to any potential customer of Valley Imports.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I am never going to go back to this place! Every time I have had an interaction with this place they are beyound rude, arrogant, people who have no clue what they are doing. Back in December my car completely stopped working, so I brought it in to see what was wrong. They did a full diagnostic on it, replaced the battery and said everything was good, while charging something around $600. Well my car was not good, my car broke down again... in the middle of winter. A new alternator and a new engine 2 days later my car worked thanks to everyone else but this dealer. Now fast forward to August. I just went to the Mitsubishi dealer in St. Cloud, MN, who actually knows what they are doing last week. They did a full run up of my car, changed the oil, found out the battery that Mitsubishi here in Fargo gave me was bad, and replaced some filters (this only costed a total of $50). I just went in to Fargo's dealer replace it because it's their battery they gave me, it is their problem to fix. I got to the front desk and the guy who helped me looked at me and at the papers and rudely asked where I went. It says right on the papers and I also told him when I handed him everything. I may be a women but I do know a lot about cars and their engines. So he has the "mechanic" look at the battery. Then he processed to arrogantly tell me that nothing is wrong after the "mechanic" rudely scoffed that the place I went to has no clue what they were doing. My car quit last night in the middle of an intersection because of the battery! I could have gotten hurt if I didn't figure out how to fix it right away. So no, St. Cloud does know what they are doing, it is you that does not. So thank you Mitsubishi of Fargo for being such a "great" dealership and having such "fantastic" customer service. Honestly if you want an amazing Mitsubishi dealer drive the extra miles and go to St. Cloud's dealer, they are beyond amazing and know what they are doing.

Scheduled repair work 9am-12pm. Work wasn't done at noon. There was no one in the shop to finish it up because the whole shop closes at noon for an hour so even if they are 5 minutes away from being done the customer gets to wait another hour. I realize auto repair doesn't always go as expected but then Valley Service shouldn't provide a schedule they can't keep. Had they been clear, we would've dropped off the car and left it; planned very differently. *Addendum* just went to change spark plugs on same car. Tech broke the release mechanism on spark plug wire on #2 cylinder so now I get to fight with that. I know all 6 were good prior because I changed #6 ignition coil less than a week before I found out there was a recall on them. I checked connections on all 6 when I did that.

I have never left a review before, but in this case thought it necessary. I am a previous customer as I bought my last car from them. I looked at and test drove a vehicle there last week, the salesman I spoke with took down my info and told me I’d hear from him within an hour about trade in value. It is now a week later and never heard back. I called three days later to inquire about it and was told there were no notes from my visit but that they would take my info and call me back that day. It has been three days and still haven’t heard anything. Because of this they lost my business and I bought the same vehicle from another dealership.

I guess that's why they don't advertise that service. I will never go back there for any service. 2 weeks later- Changing my review from 1 to 3. Received a credit back for the difference between a "basic service" and the oil change I requested. I appreciated the credit back, but still don't have any idea what I got charged for and what I received.

If I could give a 0 star review I would. We currently have a lease with two different cars through Valley Imports. One is a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta and the other is a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta. We pay $630 to have both cars on a lease, not a big deal but if we are paying that much for two leased vehicles, we shouldn't have been lied to with what our lease entails. When we got the 2016 Jetta, it was July 2016 and we had the car for 7 days when the windshield cracked for no apparent reason. We called the person that assisted us with leasing the car and we were told that there was nothing they could do for us since that isn't covered under the warranty. First of all, that's not my fault that the windshield randomly cracked but because I thought valley imports was a great dealership, we sucked it up and didn't turn the car in. I want to clarify that I did reach out to Volkswagen as a whole and was told that they don't deal with issues with their vehicles and that I would have to talk to another company. Instead, I talked to a lawyer who said they would represent me if I wanted to get my windshield fixed to turn the car in. But once again, I declined because I was trying to be a civil good leasee. Now our windshield wipers broke from ice sticking to them on our 2015 Jetta and we scheduled an appointment to have them fixed. We just showed up for the appointment and we were told that we have to pay out of pocket for them since we only have a 6 month warranty or a 6,000 mile warranty. That's not what we were told when we signed the lease. We only leased our vehicles because we were told that we NEVER have to pay for anything out of pocket and that they would be responsible for anything that would happen to the vehicle as long as it wasn't intentional damage. If this was the case, why wasn't the windshield on my 2016 fixed 7 days after we purchased it? Which would leave me with over 5 months of a warranty left?! And why wasn't that included in the warranty? I am beyond words right now that I have to purchase my own windshield wipers when we were specifically told otherwise when we signed our lease. I will NEVER recommend valley imports to anyone, I will NEVER come back after turning my vehicles in at the end of our lease and I will NEVER have anything remotely respectable to say about the service I received from Valley Imports and Volkswagen as a whole. From one car leasee to another potential car leasee, drive past Valley Imports and reconsider Volkswagen as a whole. Good luck!

Absolutely horrible. I brought my car to be serviced (oil change, to run diagnostics for a dash light, and to check for a boost leak) and asked how long it would be, was told a couple hours so I had their car service drop me off at home. After an hour I called back to cancel the diagnostic test but was told they just started it, so that was fine. I waited another 3 hours (was told it would take 2 hours and it had been 4 hours at this point) before I finally called them myself since I had not gotten a call yet. Was told they were just finishing up with the diagnostics and I could come get the car... I know a diagnostic check does not take anywhere near 3 hours, so either they had not actually started it when I called earlier (but wanted to make money off doing it anyway) or they forgot to call me when the car was done. And to top it all off they said they would call me after looking into the boost leak some more, which they never did. Do not recommend going there for any type of service.
