The salesman Jeff Grenz was very friendly as he talked with me in common conversation and narrowed our search down by asking me questions of what I was interested in. With in 30 minutes of walking thru the door I was showed three vehicles and was sitting in the truck for a test drive that I ended up buying .he matched buyer to truck perfectly and I am very pleased with the purchase I made and I’m sure that I will enjoy it until I decide to upgrade again and at that time I will be going back to R.M. If you expect this company to stand by promises that it makes you can forget about it. I recently had my truck in for body work . It took a couple of months to get the parts in and when they finally came in the Body Shop Manager Tony wanted to schedule me in to do the work. I told him that I could not bring it in because we were expecting a blizzard that weekend and I need a four wheel drive to commute(I live in a rural area in ND). Tony graciously said he would pay the difference between what my insurance company would pay and what the up-charge would be for a 4wd. RM Stoudt got me in to a Escape and I was happy with that and the services. This was in February. When I settled up on everything for both wrecks, the new Body Shop Manager told me that I had a bill for the difference on the rental. I told him that Tony (who no longer works there) had agreed to comp the difference. No problem. Fast forward to July and I receive a threatening letter from RM Stoudt saying that if I did not pay they were going to litigate. Not one phone call, not one letter, nothing. Just a threatening letter. The next day I sent an email to the General Manager of Stoudt Mr. Clint Bloom. No return email, and not a phone call. FYI, I bought a car from them this year and have bought two trucks from them for our business. We exclusively service our 3 new f350's and 2 F150's here. We buy ALL our tires here. I have a truck that has significant hail damage that I was going to get repaired there and I can not even get the common courtesy of a phone call or a reply to an email. They are extremely nice when you want to buy a vehicle but disgustingly bad at follow up.

Please excuse our tardiness in responding to you. We are only home long enough to wash clothes, and then leave again. That pickup is way too nice to drive so we just park it in the garage and walk around it 10 times a day to admire it. We both very, very, pleased with our "business" dealings with R.M. Stoudt, and even 10 times more pleased with the personal part of all this. Our questions were answered very promptly, and we were treated like real humans. I have walked out of dealerships, because they thought they were the only place to buy a vehicle and you weren't leaving there without their junk. I have never bought a vehicle at a dealer before because I thought dealers always tried to screw customers. Me and my wife had been looking for an MKX under 20k and found the perfect vehicle here that they made no expense going above and beyond getting ready for delivery. Cleaned like new, waxed and polished, brand new tires and a great deal on the vehicle was way different than my old way of buying from Craigslist or something and having to spend a ton of money on tires and misc repairs and not having any service records. Highly recommend everyone at Stoudts, they'll take care of you!

The extended warranty I purchased has been incredibly helpful as well. When a couple of unexpected mechanical issues came up, my insurance kicked in and saved me big buck. BEWARE!! The WORST ever!! I thought I was buying a clean car. I flew 2k miles to pick up my car and as soon as I signed the paperwork BAM!! My salesman Dean pulls out the Carfax saying yeah it was in an accident. “His wife backed into a pole”. So I am now stuck I signed all the paperwork for a car because the salesman never disclosed it was in a wreck. I was out my deposit airfare plus it would have cost over $800 to get home. I drive the car home and it turns out that it needs a clutch, windows adjusted, fog light and they are not covered under the warranty. Plus a part that was supposed to get replaced while in their possession didn’t and I had to pay $100.00 to get the air working correct. Now I am stuck with a vehicle that I have to pay over $2k to fix so I the car can be driven. I reached out to the dealership and they refuse to do anything!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!!!!!

Use the Quick Lane exclusively for oil changes on my 09 Ford Edge for the past 5 years. Good service, but recommend getting an appointment.They say they take walk-ins, but they usually have no room for walk-ins after 9am. I had the Edge in for some maintenance issues and they were courteous and very professional. Keep a very clean shop.

My husband was pulling his camper through the snow from Watford City, ND back home to North Carolina. About four miles outside of Jamestown today (1/21/19), his truck gave him a warning message. He could only drive about 35 mph. He called me, and I did a quick Google search for Ford dealerships in Jamestown. I texted him the phone number and address. He called Stoudt and spoke with Darren in the service department. My husband has dealt with Ford service departments in Montana, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, and North Carolina. He said, "That's the best John Brown service I've ever had!" He said that Miss Shelly, who answered the phone was so nice and Dareen in the service department was very helpful and my husband didn't feel like Darren was trying to rush him off the phone. He was in the shop two hours. They replaced the air filter and even downloaded some updates that the truck needed. If we lived in Jamestown, I'm sure we would be customers for service and sales. Thank you for helping my husband get back to on the road so quickly!

My experience with R.M. Stoudt was with the auto repair shop. My son, daughter and I were traveling to Minnesota and my son's truck broke down about a mile from Stoudt dealership. We thought we were fortunate when we realized that we were so close, as my son has a Ford truck. A tow truck took his truck to Stoudt. They looked it over and maybe 30 minutes later came with bad news, there was metal in the oil and would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $800 to fix. Talked with my husband who knew someone in the area and we got a recommendation of another repair shop. Long story short, there was never any metal in the oil. My son's truck was repaired for a little more than $300 and he's never had any trouble with his truck. Mistaken about their diagnosis? I doubt it. I've been told the same story of metal in the oil, and it was never true. And they charged him more than $100 for that diagnosis . That's our experience.

Pulled in off the highway with no brakes. The service writers did speak just pointed and grunted. Told us we would have to take it next door to their quick lube shop. Wasn't safe to drive but they didn't care. When the lube shop couldn't fix it they put us off until the next day. I called the chevy dealer. AAA towed it there they got it in right away.

***CAUTION TO ONLINE PURCHASERS*** Just purchased a 2013 Chrysler 300C from this dealership on the information and salesman word, Dean Haas, as I am located in Missouri and I had to travel to actually purchase the vehicle. I was never able to see it before meeting to make the purchase. The dealership was accommodating in that they met me in South Dakota for an extra fee, so I wouldn’t have to make the drive all the way up to North Dakota. However, I think the reasoning they made the offering to meet me was so the very obvious body damage would be concealed. Let me explain what I mean by that. I had a lengthy back and forth about the vehicle and the condition obviously as I could not see it in person before purchasing it. Dean Haas went on about how it is a one owner vehicle in perfect condition and provided me pictures of the interior and exterior. However, North Dakota has been experiencing snowy weather so no picture I ever received was of a perfectly clean car or a picture that didn’t have snow on it. I didn’t think anything of it as I knew the weather they were experiencing in that state. When the vehicle was delivered to me, it was very dirty as I expected from the travel to meet me. When I examined the vehicle at the time of purchase, there did not seem to be any damage or imperfections to the exterior. However, after washing the vehicle off in Kansas City when I was driving home, I realized all the road grime, salt and other dirt, concealed a front bumper that had hundreds of chips and road rash. There was also a crack in the bumper. The paint had swirls from a bad detailing job and there was numerous chips and scuffs on the vehicle, and a few small but obvious dents. My main concern was the bumper because of obvious the damage was when the car was clean. I asked Dean about the bumper and the very obvious damage that was concealed by the dirt and that was never told to me. His response was that he did not know, which is totally bogus as I know for certain that dealerships depreciate the value of trade-ins due to damage like this. I told him I would have to buy a new bumper and pay a couple hundred dollars to have it professional detailed to remove all the swirls and imperfections in the paint. His response was that it was already 2K off the clean retail price. Clean retail was 18K to 21K. A vehicle needing an entire body panel repainted or replaced is not considered clean retail in my mind. So his reasoning on why they couldn’t do anything for me after withholding and concealing the damage from me was ridiculous. I was looking for a vehicle that I would not have to immediately put money into to look nice, especially at a price point of 19K and only being 6 years old. For a few thousand more dollars, I could have purchased a much newer model that did not need immediate attention. But I was promised that the vehicle needed nothing. I caution anyone purchasing a vehicle from this dealership without very closely examining it in person. I feel that this dealership took advantage of the fact that we wouldn’t be able to see it and would be commuting 8 hours to examine it. Very disappointed in this buying experience as I feel they purposefully withheld information from me, like a shady used car salesman would.

If your wondering the vehicle, it was a pt cruiser, 75000 miles and just concluded better to junk it!! They never would fix it correctly!

Dont buy a New ecoboost F150! I have a 2017 F150 with 8k miles on it that dangerously just stalls and won't start again in traffic and RM Stoudt Ford is tying to pretend like there isn't a problem.Its completely rediculous that I cant feel comfortable taking a brand new truck anywhere in fear of being stranded.Dont expect help when it breaks down as you will be left to deal with it on your own. This is a major safety issue that needs to be addressed.

I currently live in Dilworth MN, which is about an hour and a half away from Stoudt's dealership. I was willing to make the trip to purchase a used car they had. After speaking with the finance manager (Jim), I was told that I would have to do my own tax, title, and licensing at the DMV. I personally do not believe you should make your customers do the work of your finance team. I was not willing to drive three hours to then sit in line for another hour. I chose to purchase a new vehicle at another dealership in North Dakota that did not make me do my own licensing.

I asked for a courtesy car they were very accommodating.... The car they gave me to was so dirty inside I thought I needed a shower when I got home, the paint was almost there, the passenger mirror almost fell off (the only thing holding it was the cable). AC didn't work or cruz control. I needed to travel on the Interstate top speed was 65 MPH cuz it shook so bad. The tie rods or ball joints were so noisy I could hardly talk on my cell phone or listen to the radio. I took pictures cuz no one would believe me. The best thing you can say is I made it back. Oh yeah they couldn't find the grinding on my truck (when in 4-wheel drive) so they said if it happens again ..... Make another appointment. LOL. Right that's going to happen.

I’d highly recommend this place. My husband and I worked with Brian Bertsch and he was wonderful. When we got there, the car we wanted to see wasn’t there. A customer was using it while they waited for service to be done on theirs. They worked very hard in getting the vehicle back so we could look at it & getting her another vehicle to drive. Brian and the staff worked with us on the price we wanted & we left extremely happy & with the SUV we wanted. Everyone we encountered was very nice. Brian made our car buying experience easy and fun. Bought an old used vehicle here. Granted it was an "as is" sale. Ran great, or seemed to during the tests drives. I regret buying it, it was a $2500 drive to the grocery store. I know used vehicles are not guaranteed, but they wanted $4500 for it. If you buy used here, take $2000-$5000 off the price they are asking. It is probably a good place if you buy new. Last name Young, bought a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee, put 5 miles on it, and didn't even drive over 30 mph. Blew ahead gasket, transmission coolant hose blew. Last mistake I will make like that. Unfortunately I made a bad decision and got screwed.

I am new to the Jamestown area and needed to purchase a truck to get me through the winters. I searched local dealerships on the internet and came across several vehicles that interested me on the Stoudt website. I sent an email late one evening before going to bed. I received a telephone call from Tara the very next morning verifying my interest in a vehicle. She then assigned me to Joey as my salesman. Joey was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and easy to work with. I took the truck on a test drive later that afternoon. I really liked the truck but did not care for a decorative decal than ran the length of both sides of the truck. Joey said they could remove the decal. A few days later, my wife test drove the truck and we decided to make the purchase. Joey had the truck ready for us at the appointed time and the decal-free vehicle looked great. Jim, the Finance Manager, was able to get us a very good interest rate at a nearby credit union and made the loan process very easy and fast. The entire process was enjoyable and stress free. No pushy sales people or high-pressure tactics, just honest people selling a quality product. I will most definitely buy other vehicles from The Stoudt team.

Bottom Line: RM Stoudt is the best dealership I have EVER worked with. There are certain companies and people that just "get it" and RM Stoudt has earned first shot at every car purchase I make in the future, regardless of where I live. Hands-down the best first offer I have ever received with the least amount of hustle. While I sometimes appreciate the "no-haggle" places, I don't mind negotiating when it comes to a $45-$55K purchase. RM Stoudt's offer simply could not be beat. I didn't hesitate to make the 5-hour round trip to pick up the new Jeep...Dean (Haas) even offered to meet me halfway! If you're reading reviews on dealerships, you have probably been given a few lines from dealers about MSRP, trade value, undercoating (ugh), overpriced GAP coverages, etc. Well, don't expect that at RM Stoudt. I am confident you will get a great deal and if you're concerned about any extras, they'll walk you through those options rather than try to sell you on them. My car search spanned 2.5 months, 8 dealerships, and 11 makes/models. RM Stoudt had excellent selection, better prices (by thousands!), friendly people, and they listened to what I wanted rather than try to upsell me on a bunch of other options, etc. They (Thanks Jim! Go UMARY!) beat my bank's interest rate by 1% even with a long-term contract. There are other good dealerships out there, and great salespeople that I truly like...and while it can be tough to differentiate between the good ones, RM Stoudt STANDS ALONE as the best of the bunch.

We have been taking our Subaru to R.M Stoudt's QuickLane center for oil changes and tires. We are generally happy with the service there. In the latest appointment, everything worked out fine. In the inspection list, they changed a clogged cabin filter, and recommended a new battery. We appreciated the service and did purchase a battery since the existing one had passed its live span. We are satisfied with QuickLane and will continue to to take our car there for service.
