They refused to give me the last oil change on the Toyota care package. It was one day late they said that Toyota would not reimburse them for the oil change. I was told they “would not eat the charge”. This is after I bought two cars from them two years ago, both on the same day. Whatever happened to a little customer courtesy. Does five cans of oil really cost them that much? Still can’t believe it. I’m ready to buy a Subaru.

Terrible customer service. This location is only worried about selling cars than putting customers first. They told me I would get my TLC plates within a month or so and it has been 3 months so far in the process. Almost up 10k in miles since I took out the car late June and still with no TLC LICENSE PLATES. This is a joke !

Toyota of Manhattan was amazing from the start, We were greeted by dapper dresser Mike who was valet parking our car so we could walk right in to the show room to greeted by the friendly staff at Toyota of Manhattan. We had been in contact previously with Kevin Korb from contacting the dealership via phone and text. Kevin greeted us with a welcoming smile and assured confidence. We talked about the base model 2019 Rav 4 and he showed it to us and explained all the amazing attributes the car comes with. We were impressed with his knowledge and friendliness. He helped us with all the paper work and never left our side for more than a few minutes. Kevin and his managers went well beyond what we were hoping for giving us a great deal on our trade in toward our new lease. We left the dealership feeling totally satisfied and confident in our new Rav 4 and all that it can do for us in the different modes, eco, sport, dirt etc. I can say honestly , the Toyota of Manhattan experience was easy thanks to all of Kevin Korb's associates and managers. 5 STARS

I ordered $10 worth of parts from parts department last January and never received anything from it. I called five or six times over the last six months, and still to this day, don’t have my dumb pieces of plastic they charged me for and never delivered or called me on. I actually just walked (6/23) into the service department just now and no one was even around to greet me or ask me what was going on. I walked multiple spots in their garage, looked into every part of office where “The Service Department” was and no one was to be found. All I did find was open office doors and empty chairs, but absolutely not a person. I then walked up to Parts Department, hoping to God someone was around, but that was locked. It was Sunday after all, but Service Department doors and garage were open and available to walk into so I figured somebody should be around but it was deserted! This is beyond annoying! I want my $10 back and more for my time and frustration. Unacceptable!

I went to multiple Toyota dealerships. I made a stop at Toyota of Manhattan and it was a completely different experience. I did not buy because I have been shopping around but will purchase before relocating for work to another state. I must let everyone know that Vladimir is not at any other Toyota dealership but the one in Manhattan. I, in the beginning kind of did not want any help because I figured all vehicles in all Toyota’s cost the same. Also, I didn’t want to wast anyone’s time since I knew I wasn’t going to buy. Vladimir told me he didn’t expect me to buy right then and there and proceeded to offer me water and coffee. He was more than happy to answer my questions and spend his time with me. No dealer wanted my trade in. I spoke to Nelson because I bought two cars from him in the past. He guaranteed he could make it happen. I was very hesitant, because I tried many dealers to make the trade in, no one wanted the car because it was used as a taxi. He promised me and said come down. I explained to him I had no down payment money. He said no problem. Normandy dealer tell you whatever they want to say so you could get down. To only be disappointed at the end. But Nelson Nunez made it happen. So this is the third car I purchased with him. Very good salesman. But the best thing about him he is genuine. He would only give you good at advice. Not just to make the sale but if you work with him you will see he's a real genuine man. Also Richie in the finance department, was also down to earth. Bad service over all. From the time you try to drop off your vehicle to the time you are told to go to the cashier. The guy who gets the car doesn’t speak in a respectful/clear way, he gives wrong directions where to go and what to do in broken english. The cashier was also rude when I asked a simple question, she looked so miserable doing the job that I couldn’t even blame her. Like most of the other dealerships have at least a shuttle service, this one offers nothing!!! I gave 1 star for my service advisor (Jennyfer) at least she was polite and professional. Other than that if you decide to go there expect rudeness and bad service. Your choice!!!

I explained my situation at least 3 times before coming in. I explained the amount of my pay out and my negative equity and what I can put down. I explained my credit score and everything else. They kept insisting i come in and that they will be able to help me. After wasting time and gas to make my way to the most inconvenient place in nyc. Their location is not the most convenient and you will be dealing with traffic and traffic cops. When I got there, I explained the situation AGAIN and they told me they couldnt help me. Stay away - they do not have their customers' best interests in mind. Although some of the salespeople were nice enough, I was looking to pick up a new Toyota GR Supra. The owner of this location had picked up both of the allocations of the Launch Editions that were being sent to this store himself and was trying to resell one of them at $50,000 over MSRP (so we're talking over $100,000 for a $57,000 car). I ended up getting my 2020 Launch Edition GR Supra elsewhere at basically MSRP. I really wish Toyota's corporate side would admonish dealerships like this who are trying to rip customers off - it's really hurting the launch of their new car as well as the image of their company. Meanwhile, up in Canada, they apparently know how to do things right (see the attached letter)...

Cliff Notes: It was a great experience over all. The staff was friendly, willing to help and was able to answer anything that we had questions about. Even though there were some misunderstandings along the way, everything turned out perfect according to our calculations. Full Length: Being our first time getting a new car from a dealership is very daunting at first, but the staff was able to make it an easier, but longer than expected experience. We were planning on getting a specific vehicle, weeks prior. Checked the website, but they didn't have the color we wanted. We called Toyota of Manhattan and we're kindly greeted. I asked about the specific vehicle, she said that they had it. We said that we were coming from Pennsylvania and that we are willing to buy it today. We called again because we wanted to confirm that the email I provided was correct because I did not receive what was sent by them. We were greeted by another employee, and we asked about the same car, he said that it was not currently in stock, but if he speaks to his manager, we could get it by tomorrow. We were hesitant to go after the conflicting information, but we decided to go because we wanted to see the one that they actually had in stock. Once we arrived, they were very friendly and very happy to help us. We saw the car they had in stock , but we did not like the actual color in person , so we decided to return the next day. We agreed that the car was going to be ready by 1pm. Here comes the awaited day, I come in by 11:40 am. Was greeted and then was told to wait. I waited until 1 pm, then I was told that to wait 20 more minutes. I was not aware of how long the process was gonna take, so I took that at face value, and was disappointed that we had to wait until 3pm to sign the papers, and until 5pm to leave. Toyota of Manhattan staff, I highly recommend to tell the customer an estimate of how long it could take, specially if it's their first time. Even though I waited four hours, it was worth it. I was glad that we made a wise purchase in Toyota of Manhattan and that there were no problems when it came to our calculations and how much we actually spent. I would actually go back for my future purchases not only because of the friendly and helpful staff, but also because we got a great deal and I know what to expect now. I would highly recommend to anybody that wants a Toyota vehicle to come to this location.

Had a seamless car leasing experience here. Since I knew which model I wanted, I was able to do almost everything over the phone and email before going to pick up the car. Robert McIlwain and Kevin Korb hooked me up and made sure I got the exact configuration I wanted within a couple of days, and then Kevin made sure all the paperwork was in order before I arrived so I could have minimal time at the dealership. THEN I threw him a major curveball when I went to pick up my car—and decided I preferred one of the floor models. Kevin didn’t break a sweat, just took care of everything. The Positive: I needed a car in less than two weeks, due to relocating from NYC to a place where a vehicle was a necessity. I came to Toyota of Manhattan after being frustrated with the service at Fordham Toyota. Based on the reviews, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with Kevin Korb. Kevin Korb was determined to find me a car that I wanted, but also within my budget. At first I was going to pull out of the deal because I felt I wasn't getting a good deal. Kevin tried his best and as a last resort, he asked his manager Kevin Primus if there was anything they could do to ensure I would receive the car I truly wanted. Kevin Primus ended up providing me with the car I wanted with all the bells and whistles within my lease budget. Kevin Korb also connected me with Vladimir while he was out on vacation. Vladimir was also awesome! very thorough, he made sure all of my paper work was correct with insurance, he released my car to me and walked me through all the features of my new 2019 Rav4. I even requested if they could hold my car for a few days before relocating and my request was honored without an additional fee or hassle. Things to consider if you encounter a situation similar to mine: My experience would have been 5 stars if my registration and title transfer wasn’t a nightmare. After my move I was left to figure out a lot of the logistics on my own. I had to reach out to Toyota (not the dealership) directly to find out the process, which was lengthy and costly. They informed me the process to transfer the title in order to register my car at my new location was information a customer would be aware of when they reach the DMV in their state. However, it would have been more customer friendly if I got a better understanding of the steps from the dealership considering I informed them about my move prior to the sale.

WATCH FOR HIDDEN FEES: These guys will make you travel miles to their dealership to rely on the fact that you will agree to hidden fees since you are time invested from traveling there. AND IT WORKS! so BEWARE that my quoted price after all fees had an additional hidden fee. I agreed on a price-match of MSRP -11.3% & was asked to come back when the Finance Manager was available. When I came back, the deal had +$639 in additional hidden fees by Manager named Kevin & the sales manager named Robert I agreed on the deal with “was on Vacation” nowhere to be found. Kevin told me to sign the deal with the surcharge +$639 since you are already here OR GET OUT. We spent two whole days traveling back and forth so we had to tag on the extra +$639 on my credit card.

I'm royally disappointed with this dealership. They will sell you a car and be very nice until you sign your contract. I dealt with Nelson Nunez. I brought in my old car for an appraisal and he showed me cars both new and used. I went in thinking that I wanted to go with something else, since I had always had Toyotas. They are great cars but I was in the mood for change. He convinced me and I walked out with a 1 year old silver RAV4. When we started lookingI explained to him that I work a lot of hours and that my time was very important to me. I also specified what I wanted, this car had it all minus the apple car play but he said they could install it in a week or so. I just needed to bring it in. I agreed.What followed is where the story goes sour. For FOUR! weeks I chased him trying to get the appointment set up and finally we set it up with another service center that had availability. I showed up early on Saturday (since it's the only day I'm off) and an hour later I'm told the technician is not there and also that my car model is not compatible with the software. I could not believe it! I went down to the dealership in midtown in person. Someone else confirmed that indeed that car model was not compatible. The managers got involved and at this point they offered to buy it back for $10K less! So I feel lied to and I have a car that is not what I wanted. If he did not know that that particular model was not compatible with the software he has no business selling a product to a customer that is clearly wrong. That means he's inept at his job and knowing what he's selling or he just lied to me. Plainly. He wanted to sell a car that Saturday. I'm going to go with the second option. I will not go back there for any reason...
