I found it extremely distressing that Island Kia had no loaner car for my repair that was projected to take 4 days(actually took 5 days). I was also told they did not have a contract with a rental agency to accommodate my need. I actually had to call the regional department to get a rental. When I went to the rental agenvy the told me they definitely is a contract.

We met Vincent Macaluso last week at Island Kia. Vincent is by far one of the most professional salesmen we met throughout our car purchasing experience. I have been a Honda owner for over 15 years so this was a daunting journey going outside the Honda family. We ckd out several cars at various dealerships in Jersey, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. Up until this tine, we swore never to purchase a car in Staten Island. I had a very bad experience years back. However Vincent changed all that. He was friendly, not pushy, informative, & knowledgeable about his product. He followed through with me as a new customer. So. my husband and I made our decision pretty quickly after test driving and learning all about the Kia Sportage EX. Very impressed with the car and the reasonable pricing. Thanks again, Vincent.

TERRIBLE. Brought my truck in for routine oil and inspection. Was told it would not pass inspection unless I changed break fluid. Was told break fluid was black n corroded. When I argued that truck was only 2 years old they argued back saying it had a lot of mileage on it -36,000 - huh?? I observed EVERY CUSTOMER being told they needed a front end alignment n if they did it that day they would get 10% off the $129.00 fee. TOTAL SCAMMERS

I brought my car in for recall service and was told I needed to change air conditioning filter. And I had them change it. When everything was done they would give a car wash which took an extra 30 minutes.. When I got the car back, no cleaning was done at all! Woman waiting with me had same problem. She had to wait another 30 minutes for it. I wasn't going to wait.. I wish they would keep their words...

We were shopping for 2 new vehicles and wanted to test drive the new Telluride. Typically we avoid Staten Island dealers but we are so glad that we stopped into Island Kia. NEGATIVE STARS FROM ME! By far the WORST experience I have ever encountered! About a year ago I received my first oil change went to Island Toyota Service and they left a huge scratch on the hood of my car, that should have been the last time I gave them business. However, I still went back this April to island Jeep. It was a terrible experience right off the back. We had a 10 am appointment for an oil change. We sat there waiting for over 2 hours. As we're sitting there we notice our car is parked in a bus lane, no one notified us. We go outside and we have a ticket for $115 (we weren't the only customer with a ticket) We were assured they would cover the ticket. It has been almost 2 months and NO ONE has personally reached out to us. After leaving several reviews, managers send email responses with their "deepest apologies" yet have us running in circles and transferring our phone calls all over Island Auto Group with no answer. No one calls us back, no one answers the phone. And if we're lucky to actually speak to someone they say they'll get back to us and NEVER do! Island Auto Group will NEVER receive my business ever again. I have MANY friends, family members and co-workers who are Island customers - who after hearing my experience refuse to deal with their company ever again! Thank you Island for the $115 ticket and the boot on my car I had to pay to get removed!!!! AND I DO NOT NEED ISLAND MANAGERS RESPONDING TO THIS POST ASKING ME TO CALL THEM TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION AND NOT ANSWER, IT'S TIME FOR YOU TOO CALL ME BACK! Never again. Turned in my car. Got hit with fees they said I wouldn't and apparently the car got damaged after I turned it in. I ended up in collections because it took them 9 months to pay me the portion they said they would (and now my credit has suffered) John who kept insisting it'd be taken care of stopped responding to me. I will never return back to this dealership ever when this lease is up.

Worst dealership in the entire world. I was interested in a car and had an appointment to go see it. When I got down there the car was sold. I live all the way by East New York in Brooklyn and they are deep into Staten Island. Before I made a wasted trip down there with a whole bunch of cash on me then at least they could've called me and told me the car was sold before making my trip for my appointment there and then when I get there the staff wants to give me a nasty attitude about it when I said the way you treated me wasn't right. A group of them even surrounded me like if I was a thief or something. Manager had a nasty attitude with me. I ended up buying a Honda from Carvana and i'm very happy with my purchase

I leased a Sportage in August of 2017 and bought a Sportage in October of 2017. Everyone was great when I bought the car, but when I needed help everyone forgot who I was. Island Kia screwed up and had registered the car in my name and my wife's but messed up the application and the title came only in my name. When I contacted Island KIA after talking with NYS DMV told them what happened they assured me they would take care of it. After 2 months tried getting a hold of someone at Island KIA the e-mails came back UN-deliverable and phone calls never returned. Fourteen months afterwards I went to and changed the title myself. I wrote to KIA Corporate and a lady named Judy contacted me last Thursday Feb 28th and told me had trouble getting someone to call her back but finally talked to a manager named Rick and he was going to call me. Never heard from him, and I don't expect to. As much as I like my KIA I will never buy another KIA after the treatment I got from Island KIA. They are your best friend buying the vehicle but easily forget you afterward you walk out the door. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM ISLAND KIA GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!

I just leased a Kia Forte a couple of weeks ago. All was fine I got a quote of 223 a month lease for the car. Nice car it was #1 rated of compact cars. Here is the part I didn't like; when getting in the back with the finance guy all of a sudden there was a 2k fee on top of the 780 fee which I knew about. Toyota did not do that to me. When they quoted me the monthly fee that is the fee it stayed at for a corrolla. It was 238 and stayed at that amount except for the $780 I was told about up front. The 2k made the car monthly fee at 282 not the original 223 I was quoted at. Vincent the sales person told me that had nothing to do with him, but it does. The sales person should have disclosed that in the beginning, not at the end when all the paper work and insurance was set up. I feel deceived. I could have walked away, and should have, but I didn't. Shame on me. Thankfully, I am happy with the car, not the finance experience.

I just felt the money and selling to a customer seemed more important than the actual service part in the word “customer service”. I have a 2 year oil change agreement, which I thought was unlimited but besides the point. I’ve been coming in as needed and was told 2 times I need a wheel alignment. I don’t have money lying around so I declined but had to get my wheel alignment eventually somewhere else a few days into the month of January. So I came in this past Thursday and was told by Jessica the representative that the system shows I need an alignment. I said I already got one, she said “well the system says it still needs one and you’ve decline 2 times already”. I said I know but I got one, then decided to grab my sheet from that alignment. I showed her she said I see but still shows up, I asked her if she can show me on her system where exactly and percentages that are still off. She said and I quote “ ugh I can’t tell you that , I would have to pay someone to look at that”. Instead of caring of the customers safety because that’s why you are telling me I need an alignment right? For my “safety”. Maybe a staff meeting perhaps ?

Yuri was an amazing salesman. We came in to check out Soul EV and were pleasantly surprised to learn about their promotion with the city of New York. We were offered a rebate for the car, significantly reducing the price. After taxes and rebates payments came out to be around $180 for a lease for a brand new car! Yuri also made sure to inform us about all benefits that come with the car. Overall, we had a great experience. I recommended Yuri to my boss and she recently purchased a vehicle from Yuri and was satisfied as well. He is a great salesman that provided me and my family with great car to drive.

Just purchased a demo from them for my parents. I would have had a better experience if I felt like they were honest. Mis information was given. In store price was offered and I found a better price from their online website. Called to verify and I was told the online price was for five year financing and loyals meaning either you or someone in your household already owns a kia. This sounded fishy so my brother called and expectedly, he was told differently over the phone and he went in to check it out with my parents. Agreed on the "sale price" but then towards the end, an inspection fee of 1200 was asked for and of course that was a no go so they tried for 900 and it was bonkers why there was this fee and why it was neglected to be disclosed in the first place. Disliking the back and forth, 500 was given. The receipt also did not make sense as it did not reflect the true amount that was paid but less (form of payment was cash so numbers might be played around with). I wonder if things would have been handled and treated differently if I was a different gender and my parents didn't look so foereign... I understand dealerships need to make their profit but in general, my experience with Staten Island dealerships have been very poor.

ima just get right into it ......thursday 4/11/2019 me and my wife was looking to purchase a new car. with that being said we was greeted and dealt with riccardo which happens to be a good kia rep. through this process we was introduced to the manager JOHN very arrogant and nasty person to come in contact with.... after few tries with getting this car we had a little complications on the insurance end which we ended up not going with having already putting 1k down we just wanted our money back , manager john comes over with some offers but we kindly declined but he seemed more in tuned with keeping the money and wanted us to take on over priced insurances as long as he got the car sold....moving forward we stated that it wasnt in our budget and we would look in the near future ... i told john i would like my money back he ended up telling the sales rep we had from jump to take care of it all of a sudden they couldnt do i was told my money would be returned back on my card the next day which never happened.... i ended up calling for 2 days straight with people hanging up on me and being nasty finally getting in contact with someone i was told my money would be back friday night or sat morning ... called sat spoke to someone in the finance dept who has nothing to do with it and was able to get a call back saying its being processed and i should get my money back monday def if not tue.... here we are monday still no money sad i had to call the bank to straighten it out to get my funds back......over all please dont use any of your time going to this place its a rip off with very lil customer service skills from managers who need to be retrained and show more respect for a customers decision on things.

This location is the worst. I am an auto owner since 1990s and believe me had NEVER had such an attitude (which is no a problem to me), but I have been paying for a full tire protection for almost 3 years and had never had a problem till today. When I had a flat tire I called and after explained my situation they hang up - ed on me 2 times. On my third attempt I was placed on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes. When I called for the fourth time I was literally laughed at for being so long on hold. I was speechless. And right after that I was told that I don't have enough time to come and have my car fixed. They literally told me they don't care about my frustration and I am the only customer who has this problem....After that they transferred me to the manager, namely Bruce, who was trying to help (also with an attitude) telling me that yes, I do have the full tire protection, but they cannot accommodate me, almost calling me "stupid". Honestly, I would not expect such a treatment from the customer service for the ACTUAL SERVICE I have been paying for......PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!!

It's all good with their lies until they get you into the finance office, that's where it all goes down the drain with their bigger lies and the fake fees just to get you back to the high price they had before you negotiated a better price. Be ready to walk away, I know that I should've. Be strong and don't pay for any bogus fees and walk away... They'll come back crawling like the rats they are.

Island Kia give you very good service, I don't mind the add-ons on things we need for safety in the car. But you have to understand the prices are ridiculous I went there for a recall and wind up spending over $1,000. Other than that I always use Island Kia because they show you the problem I will continue to use them

RIPOFFS! Maria was helpful.. but this dealerships pricing was horrible. Charging MSRP just because Kia Motors is offering 0% financing is NOT right at all. $20240 vs $16800 at a different dealership leaves me wondering how much they're really profiting. A 3k difference is no joke. When I told them about the deal I got, their answer was to tell me that they must've sold me a used car. Told them new.. impossible they said. I should mention that it took me multiple visits to get the ripoff price.. because its "impossible to give you accurate numbers until you come in". To the Island Kia generic autoreply.. save it and actually offer some real insight as to why your prices are so damn high. I'm sure the others reading this review would like to know as well. I will not call you back, but if you'd like to call me, feel free. UPDATE: Like I said.. generic replies. They don't care.
