Waste of time and energy. Had 5 months left on my lease and they solicited me to get out of my current jeep early . I made it very clear that I wanted to be at the same price or less on a new grand Cherokee limited. I get there wait for them to run the numbers and now it’s $80 more than what they told me on the phone . The Best Is “ this is a better deal than your current one .” What do these car people smoke.

Terrible service department. I had a NYS inspection “done” there. After i paid for the inspection, it turned out that the service dept never actually performed the inspection nor did they replace the sticker on my windshield. I got a parking ticket for expired inspection a few weeks later. So I went back to the dealer, and the service manager agreed to reimburse me for the ticket. After countless follow ups, the service manager just ghosted me. So did the general manager. Clearly customer service is not part of their core principles. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

I walked in to this dealer that had a bad rep. I wasn’t sure in what I wanted .I met Caleb I guess he’s a manager but he introduced me to James Jackson who showed me a few different vehicles but unfortunately I can’t trade out of my vehicle just got it three months ago. Bought a 2015 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock and couldn't be happier. Leif was my salesman and he rocked! Very knowledgeable and low pressure. Was fair with me on price with both the new Jeep and my trade in. The entire staff made this a very pleasant experience all around. Will definitely come back to Manhattan jeep in the future. If I could, i would give this place a 0. I bought a Jeep Cherokee 10 months ago. From the beginning the car was giving me problems. At first i thought just 1 trip to the service department would solve it all, but no. 7 months past and I was still going to the service department to attempt to fix it. I even asked top replace my car and management refused. To sum up the arguement they told me it's my problem so I deal with it, or I can buy a new car. After that situation, I took the jeep to a different dealership to get it checked out. First, they told me that the car didn't have any warranty (which I paid$3000 for). This dealership tried to stay with the money. After proving I paid for it, the warranty was enabled. Then the service department from there new dealership tells me the car is a ticking time bomb. The muffler, front axle, suspension, brake rotors, and steering needs to get replaced ASAP. They even said that it is a miracle I am still alive. All in all, don't waste your time here. There are better dealerships than this. Better dealerships that actually care about your investment and must importantly your life.

Bad Service at Manhattan CJD I have been to Manhattan CJD twice for oil changes on a Saturday, and I was satisfied with the service. This time around the service was painfully horrible and is still hurting me. I went there for: Sun visor recall An oil consumption check. Oil change. Break system check. And over all engine check. My service rep Michael didn’t seem that concerned with my concerns. In fact the first time he called me he didn’t even leave a voicemail telling me what needed to be done. It took two days to get in touch with him. After all the work was done (two weeks later) I noticed that my new breaks are making a metal on metal rubbing sound which is intermittent. I took it back and Michael wanted to treat it like a new visit. They asked me to go on a road test with a mechanic. Unfortunately you couldn’t hear the noise (I hear it everyday) The mechanic said it was the paint on the new rotors. I told him Ive had breaks done on other cars and no such thing occurred. I concluded that they didn’t know what to do and wasn’t going to help me. When I received my Jeep back the first time I noticed grease stains all over the dash and seats and even the sun visors. I then thought about my previous visits and never saw them put plastic over my driver seats and paper floor mates down. I pointed this out to the assistant service manager, he told Micheal to take a look at it. Michael asked me to point out where the grease was and he directed his detail guy to only clean the spots I pointed out. I still have to deal with that sound coming from my wheels. I don’t have the money to take it to another place. I will never go back to them. I am pissed and hurt.

I went in to get my routine oil change and requested to have my front bumper popped out as I have done so in the past. Was initially told that the auto body dept may not be able to do so as they were extremely busy. Mind you, I purchased the vehicle at the dealership and had it popped out by them at another oil change without resistance. When my truck was being serviced, they had no problem mentioning I needed not only rear but front brakes, but never mentioned they weren't able to accommodate my initial request of tending to the bumper. When it was time to pay, I asked about the bumper, which I would have paid to "fix", i was told they were concerned they may further damage it....again, the last time there was an indentation it was taken care of....I forgot to mention, when I inquired on the whereabouts of the previous employees Brian and Curtis, I was told they were no longer with the company because they were too nice...its a service department, did not know that one could be too nice....ridiculous. I will now have to find a new mechanic and auto body shop to service my 2015 jeep wrangler.

It's horrible horrible horrible place!!! When you return a lease car they provide horrible service. When I call the department they spoke very unfriendly. Normally do pre-inspection all the company do home service but I have to travel to Manhattan. Even worse when I made appointment with them to do pre-inspection they hang-out my phone, I didn't even finish my talking. Won't work with this company ever!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE PLACE! This is the fourth car I’ve owned and I’ve never in my life in the most worst of situations experienced anything like this place. Purchased used car from the now bankrupt dealership down the block. Car broke down less than two weeks pulling off the lot. Returned car to this service center which they took over 4 attempts to fix car. Every time they returned car to me and promised it was fixed, it was not and kept needing to be returned to service center. Let’s not even talk about the horrible people that work there that provide the worst of customer service. The amount of money in rental car expenses was just ridiculous. In the end car was repaired and operated well after about 3 months of absolute agony. I need my car for work as I travel to my clients to make money. I learned my lesson! I’ll talk about the horrible customer service and then the nonsense warranty company they are affiliated with in another post at a later date!

So I had the opportunity of speaking to Sylvester ,Max and David .I came forward with a deal I was getting at another dealership of which I presented to them but Sylvester said not to worry I can do better .I called him on 3/10/2016 and he told me he is waiting for confirmation from another dealership about the jeep Rubicon Hard rock to see if they can get this item.I called in 3/11/2016 to see if he had anything but he was off which is understandable .I spoke to Max and right away he said he couldn't do anything then tells me make sure when I go to the other dealerships that the figures don't change .Dont need advise Max ,if you want my business you would have tried to make a deal but I guess making a bigger profit is better instead of making a deal.Buyers do your research but don't let Manhattan Jeep waste your time .They certainly wasted my time .Don't go do to this dealership. They are more concerned with filling there pockets as opposed to earning the trust and loyalty of a potential client . Don't go and waste your time with them

(1) week after selling us our 2011 Grand Cherokee, the dealership filed chapter 11 and closed. Countless calls to them about all the issues we had popping up with the vehicle went unanswered. Finally got the management on the phone and they not only hung up on my wife but hung up on me as well. Called back to speak to someone else and spoke with David a manager. He has no help for us at all. They are not a group that I would ever deal with in any capacity and I would recommend that you stay away.

Incompetent truck service. I went to the dealership for a V06 recall repair on a 2500 steering column, and they not only could not fix it, but amazingly they let me drive out with a steering column that I later found out was totally unsafe to drive. Avoid this place at all cost.

My girlfriend went in and bout a used jeep wrangler. They just received it as she got there and she literally bought it on sight. She requested them to change the rims to black ones and they said it would be a couple weeks to order. Finally after she picked it up when the dealer was essentially closed she realized they were the cheapest take off steel wheels that come on the new wranglers. There wasn’t anyone there to complain to and she needed to drive 3 hrs home. They charged her $3700 for the crappiest wheels and tires you can get. I called to see the price of rims and tires through the parts department. Total came out to $1400! How are they going to rip off a woman that thought she can trust them? It doesn’t cost $2300 to mount rims and tires. I contacted them to get an explanation or to make it right to no avail. Im obviously furious that they would do that to a woman, she was so embarrassed after me finding out. On the invoice for the purchase it says the purchase price of $23,485 and another line item of options at $3695. The options were the wheels. They said a manager would call me back and im still waiting. Bottom line women get prepared to get your hard earned money stolen from you from these con artists. Stacey the salesman is also trying to say they spent 8 hrs of time on the vehicle putting on wheels. Pure bs! They didn’t even wash/detail the car after it was traded in. Contact me please ownership to resolve this. Ill also b reporting it too the BBB and posting on yelp. Do what is right!!!!!

If you are looking to buy a Jeep, you might want to choose another dealer. I went to this dealer looking for a Jeep Cherokee Overland. I looked around the showroom for about 10 minutes trying to see if any of the models were the Overland edition. It looks like they have many sales people sitting around talking and not busy. They look at you but don't say hello or offer to help. I finally needed to interrupt one talking about personal things with his buddy. He did not seem happy about that, but I did not want to spend my entire afternoon waiting and all of the salespeople were chatting with each other, so I needed to pick one of them to interrupt. When I asked him about the Overland, he said we have one outside. He didn't offer to show it. I have no idea why they wouldn't put it in the showroom, since there were already several duplicate versions of Cherokees all over the showroom. I asked him if I can see it. He said ok, put on his coat making grunting sounds and when we got outside he just pointed at the car. He said nothing else. I asked a couple of questions about the car and instead of getting an informative answer, I got an uninformative answer and in a tone sort of like "you should have known that". He then started small talk with other employees outside and was not interested in helping at all. I said thanks and left. The only reason that I did not rate this place lower is because I did not have experience with their service which might be good. I got such a bad taste from this place that I don't feel like going to another Jeep dealer either. I feel bad for the company, because these guys are the face of the company and their behavior affects the company. My next stop was another dealer of a different make and I leased a car from the other company. The experience was the complete opposite of this one.

This dealership is crooked when it comes to looking for a loan for your new vehicle they seem to have a deal with Chrysler Capital where they charge an interest rate over the New York state legal law of 16%, this is called the usury interest rate, the person who does the financial business is also doing things that do not seem legal. They stuck me with a 19.44% interest rate which is over the New York state legal law of 16% they get a kick back from Chrysler Capital according to a recent internet investigation that I did, Stay clear of this dealership. They seem to be preying on people with low credit scores in the end a person could end up paying twice the amount of the vehicle because of this unlawful interest rate that they do is Chrysler Capital.

PATHETIC!!! Paid $1500 for rack and pinion replacement which took 18 days. They called me day of pick up to inform me that I needed to pay an additional $189.00++ for alignment. Alignment was incorrect after vehicle was returned. Brought vehicle back. Alignment again not correct. Took vehicle to another mechanic who discovered rack & pinion improperly installed AND damaged AND discovered flashlight in engine bay on steering column (see photo). Returned a third time and asked to speak with service manager (Brian Suruj). Google this guy. NUMEROUS SIMILARLY NEGATIVE REVIEWS. I was visibly upset and frustrated at this point. He told me that I appeared confrontational and that he would be happy to help me if I would show him some respect!!!! What? Not, ‘I apologize for this. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to correct it’. Nothing. I told him to please take my vehicle and do your job. The $1500 job I already paid for. He refused. Refusing to correct their error or refund my money. I am currently disputing this incident with corporate and requesting the work be corrected at another location. Avoid this place. They are lazy, careless, incompetent, pathetic. They think that they can just say, ‘oh, sorry about that’ and you’ll accept their negligence, and go away. Not me.

I bought a brand new Jeep Wrangler and had a lift kit installed (with MOPAR parts, mid you) at a reputable shop. About 6 months later one of the tire pressure monitor sensors failed. Took it to the dealer who claimed the lift installation voided the warranty for this part, and the receptionist (not her fault) said the mechanic "explained" to her that he "couldn't reach" the sensor to fix it, but would do it for $900! This is (a) a total rip off, and (b) blatant violation of the warranty policy. I told them to take a hike and will have to waste my time taking the car to another dealer. Really disappointing that Chrysler lets customers be let down by greedy crooks like these.

Your experience may vary, but mine was not good. The customer service is fair, but the operation of their service department is not good, and I would advise looking elsewhere. Parts that were required for a recall were not there (despite asking for this to be confirmed the day prior), they lost all the past paperwork for the vehicle and throughout this their attitude was to shift blame to the customer. As I said, your experience may differ but the poor attitude and careless approach seemed well entrenched.

I recently Leases a New Durango i was very happy to see the store is back in NYC and under new ownership. Bruce was my sales man he knew everything about the truck very nice young man to deal with. The scariest part is usually doing the paper work but Francis the finance guy made it very easy and explained everything in detail when I asked about the terms of lease, he even gave me a discount on a tire protection package . Living in NYC the streets are terrible I’ve had to replace a rim and tire in the past and it was expensive to fix now I have a new lease and no worry’s about how I drive it. This place has the worst customer service ever. I ended up leasing my car at another dealership because the service was so terrible including very aggressive sales tactics. If you must go here, be sure to know the market for the vehicle you're looking for or they'll fleece you. In addition, I returned my first leased car here and they kept my plates, which I didn't know that I needed to return them to DMV. They tried to sell us a brand new unused car but then tried to be slick and sell us the one that was actually on the lot which had scratches etc. When we asked what happened to the car that was on the lot (we were on to them) they said that someone was test driving it but they were really giving it a wash to try and give it to us. When we confronted them about it they started pointing fingers at each other! HOW INSULTING! They are FLAT-OUT-LIARS-AND-THIEVES! I purchased a brand new wheel and tire from them, which they mounted. I was told the tire came with a road hazzard guarantee. After about 500 miles of highway driving I get a nail in the tire while out of town. I would have had it plugged at my own expense, but was told the tire was not repairable because of the location of the nail. I then bring it back to this theiving dealer. After waisting over an hour with them while they supposedly called the warranty department ... blah .. blah ..blah! They then had the nerve to tell me they could not cover my tire under the warranty because the responsibility lay with the original dealership owners. I said WHAAAAT? The service writer Vivian Pardina then informed me that THEY JUST BOUGHT THE DEALERSHIP ... AND ARE THE NEW OWNERS.... "But, not to worry!" From this point on she says, they will cover me. I let her know that there will not be any business from me "from this point on!" These thieves have not heard the last of me ... And all for the sake of robbing a customer for what could not have amounted to more than $100! I would normally say SHAME ON THEM! However, any company who would stoop as low as they have to steal a few measly bucks from a customer ... (I HEARD THEY DO THIS A LOT)... actually HAS no shame!

The first time we got a car there was 2014 and Ralph our representative was amazing, when we went back on 2017 to get our new Durango he wasn’t there anymore and the new the representative was rude, impatient, the deal we got was not the best he could do, the terms were totally different to the ones we had before etc. On top of that it took ages to get the license plate and we had to pay for it and they didn’t issue the paperwork properly and now every year we have to renew the registration instead which last lease we had they did everything for us. I just called and found out the filled for bankruptcy a while ago and we had no idea, we hadn’t received a notification or anything saying that we might have to go to a different dealership to return our car. Hopefully when it’s time to send this car back we have a better service.

I contacted the dealership and they suggested that I need to bring the car in for service. They do not work on weekends, which means I need to take a day off to do this. Fantastic....due to Mr. William Adams. I contacted William on a Thursday, knowing exactly the vehicle that i wanted. Online inventory showed that they had the vehicle in transit. We negotiated over the phone and reached an agreement within the same day. The paperwork was sent over, and guess what; it was exactly as he said it would be! No hidden charges, no nonsense. I asked William to keep me posted on the transit of the vehicle so that I did not waste unnecessary time leaving work early or waiting in the dealer for the prep of the vehicle. He called me when he went to get it, on the way back, and when it was going to be prepped and told me when it was going to be ready. When I arrived, the car was there, ready, and so was William. I was out of there with my vehicle in about 2 hours and I honestly could not be happier with the service that he provided. Absolutely waste of a morning. Called to schedule an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed. They transferred me to parts, and they said that they had what I needed and would reserve it for me. He said the parts were about $250, so with the installation would be about $350. I thought that was pretty cheap. When I got there (even though I had a schedule time to drop in) I had to start the process all over again with them. They had to call up the parts and that took at least 10 minutes, Only to inform me that they didn’t actually have everything needed.
