It’s with great sadness that I write this review. I leased from Bayside Volkswagen for six years I had two GTI’s and I loved them so much. I was gearing up to get my third GTI or possibly move into the GLI this year. As my lease was quickly approaching its end I called the dealership to find out more information on the GLI they told me they would call me back as soon as they got the car in. I worked with this dealer twice now and it seemd that they worked hard to get me into the car that I wanted at the price point I was looking for So I figured the third time would be like no other. Well I was wrong the general manager Angelo called me out personally to tell me there is no way I will be paying the same price for either the GTI or GLI I would be paying approximately $100 more a month. I thought this was outrages I know prices fluctuate but $100 more is a steady increase as I told him I was a loyal customer and wanted to see if you could do something for me; he was nothing but nasty and negative I’ve never met a sales person more negative who did not even want me to come into the store to take a look it was like he did not even want me to make a sale or continue to be a loyal customer a Volkswagen. Angelo even took it so far to tell me I should go to look at other dealers to see what prices they’re offering. Well I sure did and I am now in a new lease from a different dealer with a great offer. I would advise to not shop at this dealership and look elsewhere it does not seem to me that they care about their customers or the loyalty of the people who come back time after time. I loved my Volkswagen and I’m very sad that I’m no longer driving one due to the situation. EDIT: I got a more expensive car for less so clearly rising interest rates and lease cutbacks aren’t affecting them :)

Silvano worked extremely hard to get us the exact model that we wanted. He worked with us to get us a great offer on the car and went above and beyond to find it, all in a timely manor considering the rare choice we made in colour and interior mix. The dealership made us feel at ease, they weren't pushy as some dealerships can be. They were honest, open to our personal requests. Sometimes it can seem too good to be true, but with VW Bayside, it was not the case. They dealership should be proud to have a salesmen such as Silvano. Angelo the manager took the time to meet us personally to answer any further questions (which we didn't actually have as Silvano literally helped us with everything!) but this was reassuring on a personal level. We will definetly be going back for our next vehicle and cannot recommend this dealership enough to anyone looking for a new car!

I was truly impressed with the staff at Bayside Volkswagen from where I just purchased my 2014 Passat. There was never any pressure to buy and they treated me with respect. Peter Parashkevov - my sales consultant - really stood out. He was very patient while I went back and forth trying to choose the color of my new car. When the exterior/interior color combo that I wanted wasn't available in this region, Peter went through the database (multiple search combinations) to try to locate one from another region. He really is a genuinely great, caring person who went the extra mile for me from the beginning all the way through to the end. I am extremely happy with my new purchase and the staff made the overall experience just wonderful. I will highly recommend this dealership to friends and family.

I recently purchased a used car from a dealer that needed work. I brought the car here, and their service department did a superb job. I always thought that a dealer's service dept. was too expensive, but they were competitive and I felt very happy when the did the work. My service advisor Chris Albanese did an excellent job going over all the work that had to be done and kept in touch daily to let m know how the progress was going. Next time I'll have to think of buying a new car, and wouldn't hesitate using this dealer.

Again and again. And sales manager not friendly to us. He say I m waste his time. So rude to us. He almost angry to me. Like most curious shoppers I scoped out many dealerships mostly to look at sticker prices, my boyfriend went to revisit Bayside VW and ended up chatting with John Vass and found exactly what I was looking for down to the price, mileage, and model. I normally feel uncomfortable with sales people because I often feel...like I'm being sold but John is fantastic! He is calm, approachable, and informative. My car buying experience was effortless. I am more than happy. He took the time to sit with us in the car and go over every last feature and followed up with a call this afternoon to see how everything is going. I normally leave a large purchase with buyers remorse and a ton of 'what-if' questions running through my mind, but this time I left the dealership feeling satisfied with my purchase. Terrible experience. The salesmen are straight up liars. Stay away from Jeff schull and Leo they tried to tack on an extra $2000 to my invoice for a CPO without explaining why. When we inquired as to what the charges was for they began shouting at my father and a shouting match ensued. We decided to goahead with the car but the troubles disnt end there. The car had a key malfunction that occurred immediately the next day. And has been in the shop for over a week now. I would never recommend this dealership ever to anyone. Unprofessional salesmen, straight up criminals 100%. Next time I'd rather take my chances with getting murdered on craigslist than to ever step into a VW dealership again (definitely not Bayside).

How am I going to purchase something when you don't even know your own product? Sadly to say, the transaction ended when he wasn't able to produce a better answer than "I don't know".

Everyone working here is friendly knowledgeable and focused on customer service. I was greeted with smiles. Not everyone was trying to aggressively sell me a car instead they were concerned with my comfort. I was offered cold water several times and a seat if needed. I initially walked in with a car in mind and they didn't pressure me into another more expensive vehicle or swaying from my priorities to make another deal. In the process of this buy, i was assisted by Vincent, Leo and Jade. It was a great experience. Very smooth, no problems at all. Vincent was extremely helpful and very attentive to all my questions and requests, via the phone and email, even gave me a quick tour inside and outside of the vehicle upon buying it. Leo managed to give me a $1500 discount off sticker price for being a cash buyer, without me even asking! On the day of the pickup, he gave me a VW shirt and baseball cap as a courtesy. It all started one day prior the appointment when they called me to confirm the appointment and to ask what will I be looking to do once I get there. I told them I need to check transmission oil (NOT to change it as it was new) so the lady that called me put me on hold to ask an "advisor" after 2 minutes she got back and said that the advisor said the transmission oil doesn't need changing. I should have known since then that they are clueless as even the manufacturer has every 40k miles mandatory transmission change but hey ... I learn the hard way. So I show up on Saturday I had an appointment at 10:15 got there at 10:00 AM gave my car asked for tranny oil check and if needed top it up. And I sat down to wait, after an hour all those that came before me left after another hour 5 people that came after me had their jobs finished and left, after another 30 minutes I went to ask what is going on since I was waiting for 2 and a half hours for a 20 minutes job. The great advisor Nick Sicanore states well this is a lengthy job that require the transmission to be at a certain temperature ... I look at him and say ...yes at a certain temperature meaning 45-90 Celsius which means it needs to be driven so the oil gets in to the torques converter, then I say I am waiting for 2.5 hour for a 20 minutes job. At that point fellow NICK SICANORE said very profound that checking the oil is the same level of effort as changing it ... I suddenly realized that I was taken as an idiot, and most probably will be ripped off but I decided to wait a little more. After another 30 minutes I went to see if they started working on my car the car was still parked in the sun and no one even touched it. I went back to Nick Sicanore ad asked what is happening then he faked going in the shop and came back smiling saying they are working on it ... That's it ... at that point I felt I had enough and said look buddy the car is parked in the back and you are telling me your guys are working on it ?? I am not going to continue all the names they got from me but I just want to share with you all my horrendous experience and to advise you not to consider their services based on the feedback you see on this website as it is not accurate. God forbid you are a woman or an old man you have the word victim engraved on your forehead at that point... I have had several cars from Mercedes, Saab to VW none of the dealers is as pitiful as this one. This guy Sicanore should be working in a McDonalds flipping burgers not in a German cars dealership. Nick Sicanore is a rude, unprofessional, and on top of everything a liar that just puts his employer in the top worst dealerships in the area. This being said if you feel adventurous to go there and you find Nick Sicanore still working there you can certainly understand that clients do not matter, client satisfaction is not considered and your work will probably take and cost three times more than normal.

why i gave five stars because i love vw cars and i hope they can do a better job in the future, otherwise i would give minus five stars. from the receptionist to the manager who was so arrogant was a real nightmare to their customers. what happened was i went there for a normal maintenance, and they told me one of the horn was broken and they had to order, but after that there is no response at all . i tried to reach them many times but still no reply, so i went there to see the manager, but he was neither helpful nor willing to talk. finally i managed to see the manager who said would see to the issue, but what he did was to change the other horn which was supposed to be working alright instead the broken horn under warranty and charged me $256 dollars. This was ridiculous because what the mechanic told me the other day was the horn which was changed some time ago from another dealership was broken and still under warranty .

I brought my car to Bayside Volkswagen's service center to have a recall fixed and they damaged my car. Unfortunately I did not notice the damage to my car until I arrived home to th Bronx. Upon noticing the damage I immediately called them and let them know that there was damage on my car that was not there when I dropped it off to them. The service representative told me to bring the car in on Monday so that his boss could look at it. On my arrival the service representative came out and looked at the car and showed me the walk around sheet. There was no damage recorded. He then went inside to get his boss and returned a few minutes later alone. His boss wouldn't even come outside to look. He informed me that I would have to go through my insurance company if I wanted the problem fixed. I will never recommend this dealership or their service center to anyone ever again. If you plan on buying a volkswagen go somewhere else. They will take your money and leave you high and dry. Even blame you when THEY damage your car!

Let me tell you about this place. One of the greatest experiences I have ever had! I went to Hyundai to look at a Tucson and had the worst experience with the salesman and had hidden fees at the end of the process. Really had a great overall experience at Bayside VW. As my wife and I went car shopping around the Queens area we could tell right away this dealership was a little bit different from the rest. Our salesperson, Inki, was quick to greet us with a smile but did not pressure us in anyway. He was able to answer all of the questions we had regarding the vehicle we were interested in. If you want an all-round good experience shopping for a Volkswagen car, check out Bayside Volkswagen. My salesman, Jeffrey Schull, was super nice and really upfront. He took the time to explain everything and had patience with me even when I asked him to explain something again. We bargained minimally (it's so unpleasant, isn't it?), and when we shook on a deal, he took care of all the paperwork -- except the stuff I had to do (credit check, etc.). When my car, a stunning midnight-blue Passat, was delivered, he spent a good deal of time with me in the car explaining all the gadgets, everything from how to spot the side mirrors' system of warning me not to change lanes when another car was too close, to how to work AppleCar. Nice job, Jeff. Thanks to Angelo Alexiadis (you'll know him by his blue eyes) and Leo Ohayon, too. Sally Morello also helped arrange an interview w/ Jeff. Made sure there would be no problems picking up my car this afternoon only to be told when I got there that I needed to put down an extra $800 to assure I would come back with the title for my trade in two weeks before Christmas and that as a woman my career aspirations would "fade" and I would quit my job when I found a man who would marry me. Also, after being assured the scuff on my car would be gone, I was told if I wanted it gone I could go to their service and pay for a paint job. I left humiliated and furious and wholeheartedly regretting getting my car there.

I was looking to trade In my old trusty AMC pacer for a fancy new beetle but the brutally honest sales folks like JEFFY ,CONVINCED me that I was not thinking like a man off his meds (I am though)and I would be better off investing in my pacer and save it for huge money that it will demand very soon and I can buy two sheep from the middle east and that if I ride one and the other to carry my staples from the general store we are talking zero gas money !we talked about the killer style I will present to main st.not to mention I will never have true companionship with and Vw model but these sheep will be family and they made a hard choice easy but I still think a new beetle with its two winking eyes and smile would have been a splendid companion I enjoyed Herbie and always wanted one after seeing him Star in some sort of movies Disney made but the car carried a boring story with acting skills of the masters well maybe when I cash in the AMC FOR what jeffy swears is easy 3 mil in about two and half years

I don't have a ton of experience with dealerships, Im 31 and have only owned 3-4 cars. But that being said, I have ran into my fair share of horrible dealers and salesmen, and haven't really had a chance to ever praise one. That's until I contacted BaysideVW. My salesman Andrew quickly shot down my worries of buying online by allowing me to put a down payment to hold the car - and then Jade the finance manager contacted me and told me she could get me a better apr rate going through a difference finance company than the one i had previously been approved for. It dropped my rate almost a full percent AND my first monthly payment is free (this saved me over $800). This dealership and everyone I dealt with definately went over the top to insure I felt welcome, comfortable and was happy with my purchase! I wanted this car so bad I flew out of VT at 7am and drove it home a few hours later - and I wouldnt hesitate to do it again if it meant I got to work with these people again!

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! I brought my GLI in on Thursday afternoon, just before the Memorial Day Weekend. I showed up unannounced because my engine light and EPC lights suddenly glowed. I explained that I had weekend hotel reservations....two couples going away....needed the car....etc. They took pity on me and agreed to emergency service my car. It was ready the next day, around 10 am. Excellent!!! Bayside Service took me home and picked me up with their courtesy car, driven carefully and reassuringly by Desmond, a first class chauffeur. When I first walked into Bayside Volkswagen I felt that I was finally going to get the car that I wanted and I felt a sense of relief. After viewing there inventory on the lot I found the exact car that I wanted. I went car shopping on a Sunday and I was really hoping to bring the car home with me that day since I was going day to day with the rental car and it was beginning to get quite expensive. Once I told the salesman that I wanted the car he immediately brought me to one the sales managers who then phoned someone from finance to come in for the day to set up my loan. This seemed like a good impression that someone would come in on there day off to finance me. I had a good feeling until it came down time to talk about the price. I had $5,000 to put down on a car. I am only a 22 year old and I am a college student. I have good credit but because of my age it is light. (Meaning I don’t own a home) I had financed my last car in my own name so I knew it was possible. I hadn’t ever made a late payment and my previous car had been paid off by me. The agreed purchase price was $17,000. When it came down to the paperwork I saw that the number on the paperwork was $17,500 which Denise said was additional for “servicing fees” which were then included again at the end. I was blind to this at the time as I was eager to purchase a car. I was told that it was MANDITORY for me to purchase a bumper to bumper warranty but if I never used the warranty that my money would be given back after the five years. Complete lie! I couldn’t just get the basic package I also had to get the premium package. With taxes and fees and this bs warranty the total purchase price was close to $22,000! I didn’t find this out until I called continuously for weeks to speak with Denise about getting the final paper work. I called and each time I called she was busy and never once returned my calls until I called and asked to speak to a manager. I also haven’t received the second set of keys to my car which was promised to me a month ago! BEWARE of this dealership. Read everything in print and make sure you get copies of everything and get everything you need before you leave! Worst experience of my life! I left with a great car but paid $5000 more then I should have!

When I called their sales man about this problem a week later from my purchase, he told me I should have know the problem when I test drive it. I was the easiest customer to deal with, didn't waste anyone's time with ridiculous haggling. I had a trade in and wanted to lease a car from them. They refused to issue me a check for my trade in, and explained by telling me: we don't get funded until the end of the week. Can you believe that hogwash? Car dealers don't have the best reputation out there to begin with, so you would expect them to cut the BS and just make everyone happy. All I wanted was to get paid for the car that I am signing off to them and they refuse to pay me? What would VW bank tell me if I declare that I don't get funding until the end of the month and tell them to come back for the lease payment. Ridiculous! There are plenty of other dealerships around, stay away from them.

An absolutely fantastic experience! As it was my first time financing a car I walked in nervous, and guarded. I had found the vehicle I wanted online, and spoke over the convinent web chat with an associate of the dealership. They could not give financing information (expected) but promptly called me back to confirm the car was there before I drove the hour or so to the dealership. Upon arrival I could tell it was an extremely friendly and professional dealership. My wife and I were offered refreshments and were given immediate service. We met with Jeff and were out test driving the car in less than 10 minutes. Jeff was a veteran salesman and it showed. Quick to answer questions but never pushy. He showed me the car I wanted to see and never tried to up sell me. He assisted with my financing questions and helped me leave assured that I was making the right decision. After the t's were crossed and the i's dotted the manager of the shop had verified that I had wanted to take the car home same day and not take two days to sleep on it. I can't stress enough how relaxed the experience was. Overall a great experience, with no complaints. They had a good inventory and better customer service. My car was washed and they even filled the tank for me! Thats in addition to the new tires, brakes, and oil change, and to top it all off Jeff gave my wife a nice Volkswagen Tshirt. Highly recommended. They just picked up a new loyal customer.

Horrible service, racist, and completely unprofessional in my opinion. They don’t know how to interact with people like actual human beings. Most of the sales men there, usually look grumpy, act like they are superior to one another and just very unapproachable. I had purchased my 2011 GTI three years ago from here pre owned and I came back to try to get into a brand new Jetta. I mentioned to them my car had been in an accident, they pulled up the car fax and made it seem as if my car was in plenty of accidents. They made me feel very uncomfortable about the situation almost bullying me asking me why I didn’t tell them my car was hit when I literally mentioned it various times even before anything, the sales man told me he was going to get me into a Jetta s for 0 down. He came back telling me I had to put $3,000 down and my monthly would go up drastically which made no sense... I have a Gti why would I pay more for a Jetta s, which is the most basic Jetta there is....Anyways, if you want to be treated like a complete worthless human being.. visit VW of bayside :) I will never being doing business with them ever again, they are the worst, Long Island City VW is so much better and professional and bigger so much more variety in vehicles.

Brought my car in low oil level light and light bulb change. Arrived at the service center at 8:15AM Monday. They checked me in. Come around 9:45AM, they say they need to keep the car for the rest of the day to run some diagnostics. The receptionist claim that she will give me an update phone call around 1:30PM. Waited til 10:20AM to grab the shuttle to return home. Come around 2:30PM, no phone call. I call them. They say they need 1 more hour. After few mins, one of the mechanics call me to explain the problem and what they did to fix it. They arrange a shuttle for 3:30PM. Come around 4:10PM - No shuttle. I call them to cancel the shuttle. I send my wife instead who happened to be near by. 5:59PM. Wife picks up the car.They didn't change the light bulb. They want me to come back again instead of replacing it right there on the spot which would take about 5 mins top. Lack of followups. Unprofessionalism. Changing the bulb myself. Avoid this service center at all cost.
